Home Depot cashier fired after exposing customer information while doing viral NPC trend TIKTOK: lolabunny3248A Home Depot employee was allegedly fired during his TikTok live, after exposing a customer’s information at work while doing the viral NPC trend. Content creator LolaTheeItGirl (lolabunny3248) shared a viral clip of another TikToker doing the NPC livestream trend while working at Home Depot. The trend sees TikTok streamers pretend to be non-playable characters that are often seen in video games, and they often appear to repeat the same robotic movements and catchphrases. In the video, the Home Depot cashier was seen acting like a robot on his live while working at a register. “When Play AI on Live Gets You Fired,” a text-overlay read. “EXPOSING A CUSTOMER’S INFORMATION.” A customer approached the register as the streamer continued to earn money by acting like an NPC. “Hi, ready for checkout?” the TikToker asked, before the video cut to him taking the customer’s information. “All right, may I have the phone number for the account?” TikToker accidentally exposes customer’s information Unfortunately, as the cashier entered their phone number, he forgot to mute his livestream. In the live chat, some users joked about calling the customer, while others urged him to stop doxxing people. The cashier remained committed to his AI role, even though more viewers began to tease him and suggest that he’ll lose his job after exposing the customer’s personal information. Towards the end of the video, the TikToker recorded himself answering a call at the store, presumably from his manager. A large text-overlay revealed that he’s been “caught” streaming during work. Many TikTok users took to the comments to slam the live-streamer. “So he ended the live when he was getting fired but not when someone else’s personal info was being released,” one wrote. “I just don’t understand doing this at work, it’s a recipe for disaster,” another added. “The fact that he would be this comfortable doing this at work in front of customers is wild,” someone else said. Those who watched the live claimed that the employee didn’t care about losing his job. “Bro even said it in the live yesterday, ‘I don’t care about this job anyways they don’t pay me enough,’” one user shared. Holostars EN mysteriously suspends Magni Dezmond & Noir Vesper Holostars ENHolostars EN has suspended both Magni Dezmond and Noir Vesper in a vague announcement confirming that the two talents will not be streaming for a while. While Nijisanji has seen numerous talents leave in 2023, its biggest competitor Cover has managed to retain most of its Hololive and Holostars lineup. There has still been some controversy with Noir Vesper previously being suspended for “internal misconduct,” but it didn’t escalate beyond that. Now another announcement regarding Vesper and one more Holostar Vtuber has surfaced and it has some fans concerned over their future. Holostars EN Vtubers suspended for unspecified reason Hololive Production has announced that Magni Dezmond and Noir Vesper will be stopping all activities for a while. This includes streaming, posting on social accounts, and other performances. The announcement reads: “[Notice] Thank you always for your continued support. All activities of Magni Dezmond and Noir Vesper from HOLOSTARS English including live streaming will be stopped for a while. Apologies for the inconvenience to those who have been looking forward to their performances.” A specific reason as to why the two talents have been suspended was not provided. Furthermore, it is unclear when either Magni or Vesper will return with no date specified. There are some key differences between this announcement and previous suspensions. When Vesper was suspended in November 2022, Holostars provided details on why and when fans could expect him to return. Vesper would later admit that his suspension was a result of him losing his temper with management. Given that this suspension is for multiple talents and no specific reason was provided it is not thought to be a similar situation.

This ambitious project saw the community come together to celebrate the Time Warden’s birthday, with many viewers posting their very own artwork of the virtual idol. Ouro Kronii reacts to Times Square billboard birthday display It’s certainly not every day you receive birthday celebrations via a gigantic billboard, especially in New York’s bustling Times Square. Well, this is exactly what Ouro Kronii’s fans did for her birthday stream. The project was organized via the holoen.fans website, where Kronii’s community worked together to submit fanart of the Time Warden and post it on the NASDAQ billboard in Times Square, New York. “She is the Warden of Time and fun fact, she loves puns! Due to being Time conceptualized and her love for puns, us fans felt like it’d be a fitting gift to get Time in Times Square,” wrote one fan. It was clear a lot of work went into organizing this surprise event and loads of fanart of Kronii was posted on the billboard. “Man, these are so cool. There’s so much art too,” said Kronii. “Thank you so much guys, look at that, just look at that! Everyone’s going to see how great you guys are, thank you. I’m surrounded by so many talented and amazing people. Infinitely better than every ad on Times Square, that’s right!” It was clear that a lot of love went into creating this display and it certainly made Kronii’s birthday celebrations all the more special. Quite what her fanbase has planned for the Time Warden’s next birthday remains to be seen, but the Times Square display will certainly take some beating.

Mori Calliope is one of the most popular VTubers on YouTube and since her debut, she has amassed a huge following on the streaming platform. The beloved reaper is known for her video game streams and rapping, but it’s the former that recently led to a mass onslaught of donations. Mori Calliope stops donations during Jump King stream Mori Calliope is known for her relaxed personality and often hilarious video game streams, where she often tries to push her prowess to the limits. Recently, the popular streamer decided to try and beat Jump King – a platformer that is famously known for its unforgiving difficulty. However, it was during this arduous adventure that Cali noticed a lot of her viewers began to make a lot of donations. “Thank you so much, I just want you guys to know that I’m really in a good spot,” explained Cali. “Everything you guys send my way, I’m either saving or trying to reinvest back into stuff that I do. Cause I’m not sure what else to do, besides trying to give back to you guys. ” The streamer then explained to her fans how important it is to look after yourself, with Mori stating that fans should focus on their own financial situation before donating to her. “Don’t feel the need to push yourself, you know, you should be able to eat before you’re able to superchat me, ok?” This response was quickly met with a mass exodus of donations, with fans donating even more money to the streamer. “I will end this…I hold the power here, I have the power here!” laughed Mori. “It’s called I turn the donations off. I’ll think about turning them on later, but when I turn them on, no one’s going to know. I’m going to do it secretly.” Not only did this humorous moment demonstrate just how popular Mori Calliope is amongst her fanbase, but it showed just how compassionate she could be. Whether the reaper will limit her donations in future streams remains to be seen, but for now, it seems the Hololive star will be monitoring the superchat a little more cautiously.

Hololive’s Minato Aqua announces shock graduation leaving fans stunned – Dexerto
Hololive’s Minato Aqua announces shock graduation leaving fans stunned DexertoHololive member Minato Aqua has announced that she will be graduating from the VTuber agency at the end of the month in a shock announcement. As shared by the official Hololive X/Twitter account, Minato Aqua will graduate on August 28, bringing an end to her six-year stay with the company. The graduation broadcast will be on August 28th. I’ll run at full speed until the end, so please support me! Let’s make this the best summer ever.” In a short follow-up stream detailing the announcement, Aqua revealed that her decision followed a difference in opinion between herself and management. Despite this, she requested that fans avoid speculating about specifics or spreading false information. This tweet was met by a wave of other Hololive members paying tribute to Aqua, with the likes of Ookami Mio, FUWAMOCO, Shirogane Noel, and even Tokino Sora showing their appreciation. It wasn’t just her work colleagues who were affected by the announcement, with many fans being equally emotional. One such viewer responded, “Much love for Aqua!!! It hurts but I’ll try and see her off with a smile.” Others chimed in expressing their surprise, responding, “Not what I was expecting to see on the timeline tonight,” and “What? The likes of Yozora Mel and Uruha Rushia were previously terminated, but it’s rare for Hololive talents to walk away of their own accord.

Hololive’s Mori Calliope & Gawr Gura lift lid on VTuber beginnings – Dexerto
Hololive’s Mori Calliope & Gawr Gura lift lid on VTuber beginnings HololiveVTubers Mori Calliope and Gawr Gura have opened up on their VTuber beginnings in a new ‘Rise of VTubers’ YouTube podcast, explaining how they started out in the area. VTubing may remain a mystery to some but, to others, the stars of Hololive are as normal to tune into as Ninja, TimTheTatman, Pokimane, and more. Now, two of the community’s biggest names – Mori Calliope and Gawr Gura – have delved into how they became involved in the space. They did so in a new YouTube podcast entitled ‘The Rise of VTubers’, designed to shed light on the rapidly expanding area of online content. For Calliope, who boasts over 2.1 million subscribers on YouTube, it was a case of immersing herself in a “unique” online space where she truly felt able to be herself. She said: “VTubing kind of offered this unique situation where I could totally, unabashedly, be myself and not worry too much about what I look like, and I can just do the things I want to do. “Recently I did a live show in the real world. Real human beings came to a live venue. There was of course a big screen in front of them, but behind that screen I was really dancing, 100% as myself, dancing and singing live behind said screen. Being in Hololive influenced me to get voice lessons and become a singer. Now I’m able to do so much more.” Gura, who has over 4.2 million YouTube subs, explained that it allowed her to bypass fears over performing in front of people, joking that the last time she sang in front of someone in real life was likely her mother. She said: “Last time I sang in front of anybody was in front of my mother years ago, and probably against my will. So I started it up and the next thing I knew, I had 120,000 people watching me sing. Live. From my bedroom. Which, to this day, absolutely blows my mind. “You can potentially meet some fantastic friends, create a community for yourself, and if you’re technologically advanced and you say ‘I have ideas for this community’, please share them — we’re desperate! Please!” Some may continue to dismiss VTubing but, for the stars of Hololive and their millions of fans, it continues to be a rapidly growing industry.

Hololive’s Connect The World concert lives up to its name – Dexerto
Hololive’s Connect The World concert lives up to its name Supplied: COVER CorpHololive’s first VTuber concert in the west, Connect The World, was a roaring success with thousands of tickets sold for the hybrid event. CEO Motoaki ‘YAGOO’ Tanigo said it’s only the beginning of international events and collaboration for the mega agency. Hololive’s Connect The World concert was the mega agency’s first major overseas event. While Holofes and various solo concerts for the likes of Hoshimachi Suisei and Mori Calliope have entranced Japanese audiences, US fans finally got to see their favorite virtual idols on stage, on home soil, on July 2. Each member of Hololive English’s female branches Myth and Council, plus standalone VSinger IRyS, got their chance in the spotlight with solo performances on the night. Guests from Hololive’s Indonesian (Ayunda Risu, Moona Hoshinova, Pavolia Reine) and Japanese (Tokino Sora, Hoshimachi Suisei, Houshou Marine) branches also turned out for the packed crowd. Hololive managed to sell out the YouTube Theater in Los Angeles with more than 5,600 seats. Online streaming tickets were even more lucrative, with sales still open following the concert with fans able to gain access to the archive. It was a booming success for the mega VTubing agency, and CEO Motoaki ‘YAGOO’ Tanigo wants to build on it for the future. “Being able to provide a stage where our talents could shine in the United States and seeing our fans enjoy it in person makes my heart full,” YAGOO told Dexerto. “With this concert as our starting line, we would like to not only perform live in North America, but also [strengthen] relationships with various companies, so that fans can enjoy seeing us more, and we would like to expand where our talents can perform.” All of the individual VTubers resonated with those comments following the concert as well. “It was crazy,” Hakos Baelz shared with fans. She ended up performing her original song PSYCHO. “I didn’t really sleep last night because I was so nervous but thankfully it didn’t affect being on stage much. “I was the opening solo act and I was so scared. When we were told the lineup, I freaked out. I’m still very overwhelmed.” “It was really cool to see the crowd,” Watson Amelia said. “The audience was going crazy. It seemed electrifying to be in there, watching the concert live. You were on top of changing the [lightstick] colors.” “I know it must have been difficult to arrange things so you guys could catch the concert, but the fact you guys were able to make it — in person too — that’s really amazing,” Ouro Kronii added. “I appreciate you guys for that. “The fact you guys were following along and singing in chat and supporting through that. I appreciate you were able to make it all around.” Hololive also had a presence at Anime Expo over the weekend, also in LA. YAGOO turned out for the fan events, while new looks at Gawr Gura, LaPlus Darkness, and Ninomae Ina’nis’ upcoming figures were revealed. YAGOO noted “the passion and energy of the fans outside of Japan,” and thanked them for their continued support of the VTuber agency.

Hololive’s Ouro Kronii hits back over HOLOSTARS collab controversy after streaming hiatus – Dexerto
Hololive’s Ouro Kronii hits back over HOLOSTARS collab controversy after streaming hiatus Ouro KroniiVtubing sensation Ouro Kronii has hit back after some fans were angry over a simple collab with HOLOSTARS, and Hololive has backed their creator too. The ‘controversy’ began after some Kronii fans were displeased with her decision to collaborate with members of HOLOSTARS EN, a group of male-presenting Vtuber talents part of Hololive. It’s believed their anger was purely a result of being overly protective, or overly attached, to their favorite Vtuber. This happened early at the end of August, and the backlash caused Kronii to take a two-week break from streaming. Upon her return, Kronii tweeted: “After much consideration, I decided that I will be collaborating with whomever I want. We’re all here to have fun and to make new friends. Thank you for your understanding.” Hololive also backed their creator, putting out an official statement condemning the criticism, and explaining that they “fully support” their talent’s activities. They also asked the “community to refrain from attacking any of our talents.” The response to Kronii has been largely positive. “I respect and fully support your decision,” one fan said. “I’m glad you aren’t backing down to the haters,” another responded. “Just do what you want and if they don’t like it they don’t have to watch.” Before taking her break, Kronii had spoken about the situation on stream, asking viewers to not “ship people” together, “especially when we’re co-workers.” “You guys are worried that someone might like me, because I’m your ‘Oshi’ right?” she said. Oshi is the term used for the Vtuber a fan supports most, but some fans can take this support too far, in what is described as a parasocial relationship. In February, Hololive talent Rushia was released from her contract, following a drama that revolved around her relationship status, which had also angered dedicated fans. Hololive parent, COVER, said they “do not interfere with our talents’ private lives,” but later that month Rushia was dismissed for “leaking private information.”

Hololive’s Mori Calliope can’t believe her song is playing on Japanese radio stations – Dexerto
Hololive’s Mori Calliope can’t believe her song is playing on Japanese radio stations YouTube: Mori Calliope Ch. hololive-EN / Twitter: calliope_infoHololive member, music artist, and star VTuber Mori Calliope couldn’t believe it when a fan claimed her song ‘CapSule’ was playing on Japanese radio stations. Mori Calliope is one of the most popular VTubers in the space right now. She’s more than a virtual streamer, though; she’s also a budding music artist, having recently released her first full-length album, ‘UnAlive,’ back in March, with aniother on the way. Boasting over 2 million YouTube subscribers, Mori is also under the Hololive banner — one of the biggest VTuber agencies out there. While she’s got an incredibly popular online presence, it seems that she wasn’t aware that her influence also spans into the real world, as one of her original songs is apparently on the radio waves. During a recent stream with fellow VTuber Ironmouse, a fan chimed in to let Calli know that her song ‘CapSule’ was apparently playing on the radio in Japan. “Since ‘CapSule’ has been getting radio time in Japan , I wanted to ask: Have you heard it or spent time trying to catch it on the air? How does it feel to hear one of your songs playing on traditional media?” the fan asked. Calli was apparently flabbergasted at the news. “Oh, I didn’t know that,” she admitted. “I didn’t know it was on the radio. Huh? What? I didn’t know that people still listen to the radio. I thought it was everybody’s using like, Spotify and stuff like that.” “That, I could believe. But, wow! Dang! Okay! It’s on the radio. Yay! Congrats to me on that! Woo. I didn’t know that. Wow, I’m really happy. …I’d love to catch it sometime if I’m chilling at the convenience store, grabbing like a piece of bread or something.” Ironmouse was also shocked by the news and congratulated her friend on her big win — as did her fans in the comments section. This major breakthrough comes just a few months after Calli signed to Universal Music. Who knows where life will take this star next — but it’s certainly cool to see a VTuber making major strides in the mainstream.

Hololive founder YAGOO explains VTuber agency origins during fifth anniversary – Dexerto
Hololive founder YAGOO explains VTuber agency origins during fifth anniversary HololiveHololive is celebrating its fifth anniversary in September 2022, and it’s been a long road for founder Motoaki ‘YAGOO’ Tanigo and his talents. The VTuber agency was never intended to be one according to him, Tokino Sora, and Shirakami Fubuki — but rather a happy coincidence. Hololive is the name synonymous with VTubing in 2022. The agency has become a global phenomenon, boasting the biggest talents in the world, booking out massive concerts, and filling convention halls as hundreds of thousands of people watch them daily. It’s a far cry from the game developer COVER Corp used to be six years ago, and the 13 viewers Tokino Sora — who just broke 1 million YouTube subscribers — got on her debut stream on September 7, 2017. When Hololive was being conceptualized, VTubing wasn’t even a thing. “At the time the term ‘VTuber’ didn’t exist yet,” YAGOO explained during Hololive’s fifth-anniversary broadcast. “Instead we wanted to try creating a service based on VR that would allow people across the world to come together. “We started with a VR table tennis game to do just that. We handed it out for free, so it really didn’t earn us anything at all… but as a free VR table tennis game, it did have a large impact even outside Japan.” However, while the VR table tennis game wasn’t driving much revenue, there was a stark pivot when Kizuna AI came onto the scene in 2016. YAGOO and the few other employees at COVER Corp saw the potential to turn their VR games into something more interactive with characters. “I’d already worked on character promotion [marketing] at a different company before starting COVER and so we created a system for a VR character to provide live commentary even while developing the table tennis game. “It continued growing from there, and around the end of 2016 and Kizuna AI appeared and brought the term ‘Virtual YouTuber’ with her, we thought to ourselves that we could do the same. That’s when we kind of changed direction.” Tokino Sora’s debut was a quiet affair with COVER Corp staff and 13 other people, commonly known as the “13 Knights” within VTuber circles, showing up. Sora herself said she was “super nervous… [but] I still remember being happy that a whole 13 people came to watch me.” The once-a-week streams soon ramped in intensity, and Hololive finally started onboarding new members like Shirakami Fubuki. The new talents came from various different backgrounds. Some were aspiring idols, others were gamers who just wanted to stream using a different look. Fubuki reminisced on some of the funny stories of Generation 1 while starting up. “We had some members with zero streaming experience,” she said. “Especially Aki Rosenthal. She didn’t know how to stream at all back then, and she didn’t even have the equipment for it. She had to use other methods like streaming from her smartphone. “Nowadays we’re streaming on our PCs but we weren’t sure what to do when we started out, so there was a lot of trial and error. In Aki’s case, she didn’t know how to use a PC. She had to ask us for advice and we taught her.” Now though Hololive has more than 70 talents globally — most recently debuting holoTEMPUS, the first all-male English-speaking group — with millions of followers on social media. While five years is a long time, Fubuki said it felt like it passed in an instant. “It all feels really nostalgic, but when I look back on it, it all seems like it happened yesterday. But Hololive is going to keep on going, so I’m really excited for all of the even greater things we’ll do. I’m looking forward to it all.” As for what the future of Hololive looks like, YAGOO says there are big plans to expand internationally, but at the same time, COVER Corp is more than a VTuber agency. While they’ve pushed the boundaries with technology, they want to keep pressing the issue. After all, what was once a VR table tennis game has turned into one of the internet’s most lucrative industries. “Our company also deals with software development so one of our selling points is how we can still develop these apps. Using technologies such as augmented and virtual reality, one of our goals is to develop such apps that can be enjoyed by everyone. “Even as a VTuber agency, the company’s developments in tech will continue to progress. “Now that I look back on it all, it really was a jam-packed five years. At the same time, it reminded me of our early growing pains. It’s all thanks to the tireless efforts of the talents, staff, and everyone involved.”

Hololive’s Yuzuki Choco explains how illness forced her to reconsider schedule YouTube: Takanashi KiaraYuzuki Choco was once one of Hololive’s most active VTubers with multiple streams a day. Now she’s taking it much easier — albeit still going live quite often — with one big reason: keeping her health in check. When Hololive started gaining stream, Yuzuki Choco was known for having one of the most jam-packed schedules out there. The nurse would go live up to five times a day between her various ASMR and collab streams, as well as HoloNews. However she has taken a step away from that manic schedule to become what many call the “guerilla demon” — no schedule, just going live whenever she feels like it. She’s now spoken candidly about that decision though, and how it was basically forced upon her by an illness-induced hiatus. Choco first began by stating how she was “streaming at least three times every day for two years,” and before that she was streaming up to five times a day. Doing a collab, HoloNews, and ASMR everyday was unsustainable for a long amount of time, even adding “you’ll die if you do it everyday” when talking about being online on a constant basis. She then added during the two years she was streaming every day she essentially had “no time to sleep. “Doing your own stream…watching other’s stream. Checking the funny moment then commenting on those. That was really super hard work.” However, Choco revealed that it was a health crisis and a month off streaming that completely changed her attitude towards streaming. During the summer of her second year on Hololive, Choco got food poisoning. Her health declined to the point where she “couldn’t even walk properly.” This then led to her taking a month off streaming so that she could properly recover from her illness and come back recharged. Taking such a long break from her strict streaming schedule ultimately cause Choco much anxiety, with the VTuber stating it “felt like [she] would die if [she] rested for a month.” After receiving reassurance from others, Choco then quickly realized that her fans wouldn’t all disappear if she “stopped streaming everyday” and since this shift she has “gradually stopped posting [her] schedule.” “Since then I stopped streaming everyday.” added Choco. “If I don’t feel good that day I’ll take a rest.” This health crisis and change in mindset is the basis for why all of Choco’s streams “have become Guerilla streams.” Now you won’t see Choco sticking to a schedule, but she has assured all her viewers there’ll be enough content for them — just at times that work better for her.

Hololive star Laplus Darkness goes on break for mental health reasons – Dexerto
Hololive star Laplus Darkness goes on break for mental health reasons YouTube: Laplus DarknessHololive star Laplus Darkness (stylized La+ Darkness) is going on a break, just after her one year anniversary, for mental health reasons. The agency and VTuber announced the news on December 5, asking fans to be patient while the holoX leader recovers. It’s been a big year for holoX’s Secret Society leader, Laplus Darkness. The rather forgetful VTuber has made waves in the space, boasting 870,000 subscribers across her first year with Hololive. Laplus’ rise hasn’t been smooth sailing though — she has dealt with a number of health issues, and is now taking a bigger step back from all her activities following her one year anniversary. The star’s hiatus was announced on December 5 by both Hololive and Laplus herself, citing mental health reasons. “Since he has been suffering from mental illness for some time, [Laplus] has decided to take a break from activities for the time being to focus on recuperation,” Hololive said in a statement, according to a translation. “I want to get well soon,” she added. “I want to do the streams I promised, with all the fun and interesting things, once I’m feeling better.” It’s unclear how long the star will be taking a break for. With her anniversary activities out of the way, there’s a pretty clear schedule until holoFes 2023 in March. However after missing out on so much time with her fans this year, she has felt some pressure to keep active. Laplus Darkness took a break across August and September this year after she became physically ill with a number of things, from a flu to a bladder infection. Back then she said she was “in good spirits, but my body can’t keep up.” It’s the first major hiatus in Hololive this year for mental health reasons, with other creators taking smaller breaks to avoid burnout. Other stars, like Ninomae Ina’nis, Usada Pekora, and Hoshimachi Suisei stepped away for months at a time to deal with physical health problems.

Hololive VTubers doxxed after “disastrous” mobile app launch – Dexerto
Hololive VTubers doxxed after “disastrous” mobile app launch HololiveHololive finally launched its highly anticipated mobile app to international audiences, but a big oversight resulted in malicious users doxxing the agency’s talents. Holoplus’ worldwide release introduced the community app to the world for the first time on August 22. This included a community tab where fans can freely post about Hololive and share content related to its members and events. However, this section was unmoderated at launch, resulting in users sharing posts doxxing the identities of Hololive VTubers. Equally, the app was flooded with unfiltered mature content, despite the app only being restricted to ages 13 and up. Holoplus was also released with no spam prevention, so a single user could share the same post repeatedly with no consequences. This oversight, along with the lack of moderation, caused the community tab to be filled with controversial content. Fans were quick to voice their concerns on Reddit, with one user expressing, “I’m not really sure what Cover expected by releasing this app to the public in this state,” before later describing it as an “absolutely disastrous launch.” Others brought light to the most problematic content on the platform, sharing, “Saw a post literally doxing all of EN,” and “Some dude just straight up posted IRL photos of the talents. That’s f**ked.” In response, Hololive temporarily blocked all users from posting community content in the early hours of August 23. This ban was later lifted, with any offending content being removed. Since this change, Holoplus’ community tab has been moderated, and posts that don’t follow the terms of service have been deleted. That includes, but is not limited to, discriminatory expressions, criminal acts, and any acts that can be viewed as harmful to the company or its talents. If you want to try out the global version of Holoplus, it can be downloaded for free on either the App Store or Google Play Store. However, it is not currently available in Europe or the UK, with developer Cover Inc. actively working on bringing the app to these regions.

Hololive star Gawr Gura takes indefinite break due to health issues – Dexerto
Hololive star Gawr Gura takes indefinite break due to health issues YouTube: Gawr GuraHololive star Gawr Gura, the world’s most followed VTuber, is taking an indefinite break from streaming and all activities for health issues. The star has been hit by plenty of setbacks in the second half of 2022, but wants to rebound stronger in 2023. Gawr Gura has shot into the stratosphere, with Hololive’s cat shark breaking all the records across two short years to become the world’s most popular VTuber. With more than 4 million subscribers on YouTube, she has unparalleled draw in the space. However everything is being put on ice as the star announced an indefinite break from her VTuber activities and streaming, effective from December 22. “Hololive English member Gawr Gura will be taking a break from streaming for a period of time due to health reasons,” the agency revealed. “She will still continue to use Twitter to connect with fans. Please feel free to send her your well wishes and love. Thank you again for your patience and understanding. We look forward to her safe return once she gets better.” “Had some chats with management and decided together that it would be best for me to take serious time for my health,” Gura added. “I want to come back strong for you.” It comes after Gura hit a rough period of luck. First her PC was having issues, struggling to keep up with her schedule and forcing her to end many streams early. Then in the background she was also dealing with health issues, stopping her from fulfilling all her activities. She had only streamed seven times since the start of November, with her most recent Callisto Protocol stream taking place on December 8, two weeks before the announcement of her hiatus. The news didn’t come as a surprise, with Gura informing fans on December 16 the reason for her lack of streams was “all attached to my health so it’s stressful to deal with.” Gura is not the only Hololive member on break, with numerous talents going on hiatus for health reasons across 2022. Japanese stars Usada Pekora and Hoshimachi Suisei took months off across the year for surgeries, while Ninomae Ina’nis stopped streaming in October. She is set to return in early January 2023.

Hololive star Hoshimachi Suisei taking break for health reasons – Dexerto
Hololive star Hoshimachi Suisei taking break for health reasons YouTube: Hoshimachi SuiseiHololive’s jack-of-all-trades Hoshimachi Suisei is taking a break for 1.5 months for health reasons. The star VTuber spoke openly about throat issues that have been plaguing her all year, and she’s taking some time off to get surgery for it. Hoshimachi Suisei is one of Hololive’s most beloved talents who can do it all. The self-trained star idol, who grinded from the underground to the top of VTubing, has pushed relentlessly for years to reach stardom. It caught up to her in 2022 with a little throat issue keeping her from full throttle. With her schedule clearing up though, she’s taking the time to get it fixed and as such will be taking a break from all activities for around 1.5 months. “My throat’s condition has not been fine for a while and I’ve been going to the hospital and getting a lot of second opinions,” she told fans on September 15, according to a translation. “My nose has recovered — the inflammation has healed but the swelling is still there and according to the doctor it’s chronic rhinitis. “We don’t know why there is chronic rhinitis but as a result mucus has been flowing excessively down my throat. Because of that there’s this really thin nodule in my throat — it really isn’t serious — but the flowing mucus gets caught. “Normally the first thing to do is to treat the nose but because it gets caught at the nodule, the conversation went ‘why don’t we remove the nodule?’ That explains the surgery.” The star exclaimed it’s been about 9 months since she could sing properly. While it’s not a major issue causing her to lose her voice, it has impacted her performances as of late. The surgery is low-risk, although there is a chance her voice will change slightly afterwards: “Since my vocal chords will be touched there may be a chance my voice will change but there practically isn’t much risk involved. Please don’t worry about it! “My voice has changed a lot since I started out [VTubing] so it’s like ‘you’re saying that now?’ I’m fine with anything now. Even my singing voice has changed from before. When the third wave of voice comes in, if it turns into one I can enjoy singing with, I’ll be happy.” In the interim, Suisei has a few videos planned for fans to keep them occupied while they await her return. Suisei is not the first Hololive star to go on hiatus due to throat issues. Usada Pekora took a month off earlier in 2022 for the same reason — although she returned much earlier than the two months off she initially set aside. Other VTubers like Yuzuki Choco have also talked recently about how breaks have impacted their schedules and work-life balance in a positive way, and Suisei has doubled down on that by assuring fans there’s no reason to worry. In fact, she might not be gone for long. “I thought of taking a break from streaming but I may stream a couple of times too in that 1.5 month period,” she teased. “I’m curious to see how I can stream without speaking — I’m not supposed to speak so it’ll be like a challenge stream. “I won’t be playing Rust on stream but I’m thinking of playing off stream so I may appear on other people’s Rust streams. I’m trying to make it so [I don’t go invisible]. I’m planning to do what I can so let’s meet again soon.”

Hololive’s Usada Pekora is going on hiatus to fix health issues – Dexerto
Hololive’s Usada Pekora is going on hiatus to fix health issues YouTube: Usada PekoraOne of Hololive’s most well-known VTubers, Usada Pekora, is going on a months-long hiatus to fix some of the streamer’s health issues. Peko opened up on her throat troubles in her final stream for some time on May 14. Usada Pekora is one of the names most synonymous with Hololive. The chaotic rabbit debuted nearly three years ago, and has been going non-stop since. Since then, she’s smashed milestones on YouTube and been one of the faces of VTubing’s rapid rise. However, just shy of her big 2 million subscriber celebration, Peko is taking a break from most activities as she battles health issues. The streamer opened up on them in a May 14 broadcast, explaining how streaming and performing constantly has caused vocal cord damage to build up over time. 兎田ぺこら、声帯結節につき明日から【1~2ヶ月ほどお休み】します💦 寂しい思いさせちゃうと思うけど絶対完治させて戻ってくるぺこ!みんな忘れないでねええええええええ‼️ pic.twitter.com/OfA7fsWZDE — 兎田ぺこら👯♀️ホロライブ3期生 (@usadapekora) May 14, 2022 “The damage has gotten worse over time,” she said according to a translation. “My throat is still dry even after I rest. I went to a well-known hospital previously, and they told me that I have a vocal cord nodule. “Some of you might wonder what a vocal cord nodule is. There’s vocal cords in your throat and they’re normally closed. If you talk, they bump into each other. Then, a nodule forms when they bump against each other too much, and it won’t close together properly. This leads to my throat being dry when there’s a gap, my doctor told me.” The star VTuber says it can take up to two months to recover “if I rest and take the medicine and listen to what the doctor says.” Not risking anything, she’s taking an indefinite break until she’s fully recovered. However, she’s not disappearing from the internet. Peko promised to keep fans in the loop on Twitter, maybe upload some short videos every now and then, and she’ll also keep up with her pre-planned activities. “There are some projects and recordings that are already planned, so I’ll commit to those,” she added. “I’m not sure how long it’ll take but I do want to come back as soon as possible. It might take a month or two, so I’ll upload short videos during the break so you guys don’t get bored. You won’t forget about me right?” At the same time though, Peko said she will not make a complete return until she’s fully recovered. So, if the recovery takes longer than expected, expect to see Peko out of action for a while yet.

Hololive’s Usada Pekora surprises fans with return stream one month after hiatus – Dexerto
Hololive’s Usada Pekora surprises fans with return stream one month after hiatus YouTube: Usada PekoraHololive star Usada Pekora has surprised fans with the VTuber making her return from hiatus within just one month. The rabbit streamer took time off to help her vocal cords recover, and is slowly easing back into her schedule. Usada Pekora has streamed basically non-stop since her debut back in July 2019. However, health issues started plaguing her near the tail end of her stint, with doctors forcing the star VTuber to take a hiatus to let her vocal cords rest. While the streamer expected to be out of commission for months, she has surprised fans with an impromptu return stream on June 13 — four weeks after her send-off. She joked she sounded as bright and chirpy as she did on her debut three years ago: “I’m finally back guys! I’m back with my refreshing voice… does my voice sound like when I had my debut stream?” During her downtime, the rabbit picked up some hobby activities like running, as well as rested her voice. However, her recovery went by quickly — even if she herself felt like the month “was really long” — and she’s ready to ease back into her intense streaming schedule. “I’ve been active for almost three years and I’ve barely taken any time off so my throat was very overused. There were times when my voice got pretty hoarse and eventually my body reached its limit,” she explained, according to a translation. “After two weeks I got examined again to see how it was progressing and the doctor said my throat was healing very quickly. After that examination he said I could try to get back to work and see how it goes, and now he’s said I can start working again and now here I am.” Pekora underwent some training with an “old woman” who helped her manage her sore throat, giving her some tips and tricks to avoid the nodules in the future. The risk of relapse is high, the streamer said, but Pekora has no intentions of slowing down or giving up her craft. “If I keep streaming with this huge amount of energy all day and tomorrow my voice is dead and I go to get an examination, the possibility of being diagnosed with vocal cord nodules again does exist,” she said. “As long as I make sure to take care, I can keep streaming. The doctor said that vocal cord nodules don’t disappear anyway, so I’m not going to give up streaming.” Pekora’s one-hour return stream was watched by more than 500,000 viewers within 12 hours of going live. If you missed out, don’t worry — she said she’ll be back tomorrow, which got raucous applause on Twitter.

Hololive terminates Yozora Mel for “leaking information” to third parties – Dexerto
Hololive terminates Yozora Mel for “leaking information” to third parties HololiveHololive Production has confirmed Gen 1 talent Yozora Mel has been terminated after the long-serving VTuber was found to have leaked important information to multiple third parties. While Hololive hasn’t endured as many controversies as some of its peers, the VTuber agency does take swift action when it comes to contract breaches. This was apparent when former talent Uruha Rushia was terminated in 2022 for leaking sensitive information. Almost two years on and history has repeated. Yozora Mel is one of Hololive’s original talents, debuting as part of First Gen in May 2018. However, despite her long tenure, her contract has been terminated similar to Rushia. Hololive says a serious breach of her contract left them with no choice but to cut ties with Mel, making her the second VTuber to make a shock exit from their agency in 2024 already. Hololive cuts ties with Yozora Mel over ‘serious’ contract breach In an announcement posted on January 16, Hololive confirmed the termination of Yozora Mel, stating, “We regret to announce that as of January 16th, 2024, we have terminated our Virtual YouTuber Master Agreement with Yozora Mel of hololive.” Elaborating, the announcement continues, “It has been confirmed that Yozora Mel has been engaging in acts that violated her contract by leaking information to third parties that she acquired from the company.” Deciding it was too much to overlook, the agency said, “As a result, we have determined that it has become difficult to continue managing and supporting her and have elected to make this decision.” Hololive went on to thank fans for supporting Mel during her 5 years and 8 months of service but insisted it is “taking this matter very seriously,” and plans to “make further efforts into instructing our affiliated talents on compliance matters, so that similar incidents do not happen again in the future.” This shock announcement makes Yozora Mel the fifth Hololive JP member to leave the agency. This follows Hitomi Chris, Mano Aloe, Kiryu Coco, and Uruha Rushia with the majority of those being terminated rather than leaving on their own terms.

Hololive star Usada Pekora opens up on earning a living as a VTuber – Dexerto
Hololive star Usada Pekora opens up on earning a living as a VTuber YouTube: Usada PekoraHololive’s Usada Pekora has opened up on how she earns a living as a VTuber, saying she’s had it easy because of Hololive. However there are other creators out there who would earn more, and there’s different ways to go about it too. Usada Pekora is one of the richest VTubers out there, based on public figures. The Hololive member has received $2.4 million in Super Chat revenue on YouTube, the highest of any active VTuber (Uruha Rushia and Kiryu Coco, both graduated, are ahead of her). That $2.4 million figure would be split up somehow in her contract, but there’s other things like base pay an agency can afford a talent, as well as merchandise runs, marketing campaigns, and more. When a fan brought up the topic on stream though, Pekora didn’t necessarily want to be dragged into the harsh reality of it all: “Why are you asking about that? Let’s talk about our dreams instead, don’t bring reality into that suddenly!” However she did address the topic at hand. She only had her own experiences as a Hololive VTuber to go off, but she did admit there’s ways for creators to make more money than her. For those at the top, you can make an easy living out of it. However the grind to get there is hard, and Pekora doesn’t really have a touch stone to refer to due to her status in the medium. “Earning a living… I don’t actually know,” she mused. “I am affiliated with Hololive. If it’s a Hololive member, you can earn a living. You can at least earn enough to cover your expenses. “As for indie VTubers, Pekora has never been one. I think some indie VTubers earn more. Peko is affiliated with a company, but for indie VTubers it’s only between YouTube [or Twitch] and them. That might play a part, not that I actually know anything.” She also opened up on the different revenue paths. Super Chats are a common theme for VTubers who stream, but they aren’t the main path for a VTuber who uploaded pre-recorded videos. There’s different styles and ways of monetizing, which is key in such a massive space. Peko is happy in her niche though, and has no plans on changing it up. “There’s a lot of VTubers now. There’s already a lot on YouTube alone. There’s video and live stream VTubers. Which is better? Peko is the live stream style — I can’t do it if it’s not streaming, because I love streaming. I can’t edit videos by myself too.” There is a warning with these comments though: content creation is a hard business to crack into, and VTubing falls into that. While there’s plenty of big streamers, there’s a majority who are in it for fun and juggle outside work with their passion. Don’t expect to be as big as Pekora when you start out.

Hololive still stunned by insane success of English VTubers like Gawr Gura – Dexerto
Hololive still stunned by insane success of English VTubers like Gawr Gura YouTube: Gawr GuraHololive is now a household name in VTubing across the world, but once upon a time they were basically unknown to an English audience. The Japanese company didn’t expect to find so much success outside the country — but they’re glad they did. When the VTuber boom of 2020 happened in the west, Hololive was one of the first agencies to cash in on it. One could argue holoMyth — the generation featuring the five biggest English VTubers on the planet — was the catalyst for it all. Before then, VTubing was just a niche section of the internet, relegated to just the diehard anime fandom. There weren’t many English-speaking VTubers out there. But that all changed, and now you can’t go on Twitch or YouTube without seeing them. However, two years on from the debut of holoMyth, the agency is still stunned by the success — both management and the creators who made it happen. During Hololive’s fifth anniversary stream, founder Motoaki ‘YAGOO’ Tanigo knew the market would be lucrative, but expectations were blown away once Gawr Gura hit 4 million subs, as well as the other successes of the group. “As the English-speaking world is certainly very big, you could say we had some expectations of [people watching more frequently],” he said. “Since the name recognition of Hololive itself had been rising around the world, we figured we should see an increase in viewership. “I personally talked to all of them before their debut, but we didn’t predict anything like that.” Ninomae Ina’nis was a long time fan of Hololive before joining the agency, having watched the talents since 2018. It was a dream to become a member of Hololive, but her blow-up in the aftermath — overtaking some of her senpais — was equal parts shocking and inspiring. “Before our debut we didn’t think we’d get this many fans. It makes us want to work harder going forward,” she said. The boom in 2020 also contributed to the growth of Japanese Hololive stars as a new audience was exposed to the medium. “Hololive really got a huge influx of fans that year,” Shirakami Fubuki said. “I think I got around 700,000 subs just that year. We were very thankful. Thanks to the English and Indonesian girls joining, we got a lot more viewers from overseas.” It’s not just the English stars who are pushing the growth. The agency’s Indonesian talents have seen an abundance of success. Kobo Kanaeru is the leader with the Gen 3 member already cracking 1 million subscribers with her cute content, but veterans like Gen 2’s Anya Melfissa — who made an appearance in the anniversary broadcast — are also doing very well. There was a method to the madness though. Not only was Indonesia a huge market due to the massive anime fandom, but there were also some deliberate casting decisions on Hololive’s part to make sure the groups from all languages can interact with each other. “[Hololive ID Gen 2] can all speak Japanese and English so they can experience media from all kinds of countries and can use that knowledge in their streams,” Hololive founder YAGOO said. “If there is ever an event with all of hololive, they could use those skills there too. They’ll play an important role for sure.” Now with the English market continuing to grow for VTubing, Hololive is looking at expanding its reach. One way of doing this is an increased presence at anime and manga conventions with guest appearances from talent. Crunchyroll Expo in Australia and Comic Frontier in Indonesia are two of the upcoming ones. The second is by diversifying talent, and that started with the launch of HOLOSTARS English and the TEMPUS branch. “Among all the Hololive EN debuts, I thought it’d be interesting to see a male VTuber group that would appeal to even a male audience with their synergy as a brotherhood,” YAGOO said. This was backed up by Axel Syrios, one of the four members of TEMPUS: “We’re a lot more like brothers than we are idols. We’re just a group overflowing with individuality. I’m really glad to be a member of this group. I feel that every day when I talk to them too.” What the future holds from here remains to be seen, but there’s still more markets to tap into. YAGOO has previously highlighted South America as a potential growth point for the agency so it can become truly worldwide, so there’s lots to do yet.

Hololive’s lucrative Summer event almost looked very different, VTubers say – Dexerto
Hololive’s lucrative Summer event almost looked very different, VTubers say HololiveHololive Summer is arguably the most anticipated event the VTuber group puts on — outside of holoFes. However what fans know about the beach-inspired special was drastically different to initial plans, but the crunch was worth the effort. There’s a few events on the yearly Hololive calendar fans look forward to. Debuts of new talents and anniversaries of old ones are obvious ones, and so too big concerts and the beloved holoFes. However one promotion does stand out above most of the rest, and it’s Hololive Summer. The event in July and August — first ran in 2019, then returning in 2022 after three years without — took fans by storm as the VTubers debut new swimsuits and perform their idol songs on the beach. It was lucrative event as fans eagerly awaited the designs and the performances in store. It was also an idea COVER Corp and the VTubers had early on about what Hololive could become. “There’s this perception of ‘idols mean swimsuits.’ If you’re singing in a swimsuit, you’re an idol,” Shirakami Fubuki said during the agency’s fifth anniversary stream. While there was plenty of song and dance, the original plan for Hololive Summer was much more simple. There would be new models of course, but there was only ever planned to be an artbook sold at Comiket. That was before founder Motoaki ‘YAGOO’ Tanigo had the genius idea to create a music video showing off the swimsuits. The only issue was the agency had barely any time to pull things together for the first Comiket appearance. “Everyone looked like they were having fun singing and dancing in the music video, but we were under a really tight schedule to make this music video,” Fubuki continued. The swimsuits were a thing but we originally had no plans for us to sing and dance in them. It was a sudden decision to have us sing and dance in our swimsuits.” It was worth the effort though given the fan reception, and it was described by some as “a reckless move that paid off”. “We got the idea ‘summer means swimsuits’ and wondered if maybe it’d make fans go wild if we did a group song,” YAGOO said. “That’s how we arrived at the decision. “I managed the project and I definitely put a lot of pressure on our team, like our external collaborators and our internal staff. But in the end we managed to make it happen. I remember us barely making it in time. I definitely put everyone through some tough times back then. It’s hard to imagine Hololive without the summer promotion as we know it, which drew so much applause back then as well as on its 2022 return. That little bit of extra effort, though, has defined the VTuber agency and its legacy as it continues to grow.

Hololive star Noir Vesper returns following two-week suspension – Dexerto
Hololive star Noir Vesper returns following two-week suspension YouTube: Noir VesperHolostars member Noir Vesper has finally returned following his two-week suspension handed down by Hololive. The TEMPUS member apologized for his actions after fans suspected the worst with a slight delay in his return. Noir Vesper, one of the debuting members of Holostars’ English branch, was struck down with a surprising suspension on November 19 for “internal misconduct”. With the star notably absent from a number of collaborations and forcing some tight schedule changes, including pushing back an anticipated Dungeons & Dragons session with his genmates, he returned on December 7. “I’m back everyone, I’m really sorry if I made you worry,” Vesper said. The 18 days between messages online were slightly longer than the 14 day ban he received, but the star worked to ease fears about any worse punishment for his actions. Vesper also cryptically opened up on the details of his absence, stating while “the suspension caused inconvenience to other talents such as TEMPUS… the reason for the suspension itself was not because of the inconvenience to other talents.” He opened up on some more details during his return stream on December 8. “I got suspended, straight up, because I lost my temper,” he added. “This goes back to my family [who he visited during the break]. They were able to ground me a little bit. My quick temper is, by a very wide margin, the worst part of who I am. “I used to have a straight-up bad temper when I was a young lad. It took a long time, and a lot of therapy, for me to get better at that. I improved it, and I got cocky. I thought ‘I don’t have a temper anymore, I’m older, I’m wiser’ but I do. “There is a difference between getting angry and losing your temper. You can be angry and still communicate effectively, try to solve problems, be mature and wise. You can do that while being angry, but when you lose your temper… “At the end of the day, the people who suffered the most for it was the Vesties [his fans]. That’s what I was thinking about. It’s different than when I was just by myself… it was just me who would be paying for it. Now I can’t do that anymore, because my life is completely different now. “I’ve learned. I cannot assume things are the way they have always been, and I can continue acting the way that I’ve acted, because things are different. I have responsibilities to a lot of people, and I have to keep better control of my actions, and I will do that.” Numerous VTubers welcomed Vesper back with open arms, including his genmates as well as talents across Hololive, NIJISANJI, and the wider ecosystem. “Looking forward to working with you more,” Cover Corp and Hololive CEO Motoaki ‘YAGOO’ Tanigo said. “Welcome back bro! We missed ya,” TEMPUS leader Regis Altare added. Fellow genmate Axel Syrios used slightly different verbiage: “Welcome back Pops.” The exact reasoning behind Vesper’s suspension, however, remains unknown. It’s unlikely it’ll ever be disclosed, with the star looking to move forward by making up for his two-week absence and getting back into all activities.

Hololive star Takanashi Kiara jabs at viewers demanding VTuber “stops talking” – Dexerto
Hololive star Takanashi Kiara jabs at viewers demanding VTuber “stops talking” YouTube: Takanashi KiaraHololive star Takanashi Kiara has had enough with viewers telling her how to conduct her stream. After one viewer demanded the VTuber “stop talking” during a cutscene, she dished some pain back with a simple message: don’t like it? Find another streamer. Every streamer has a different way of doing things. Some just play a game and don’t talk, while others constantly engage viewers in various ways. Hololive star Takanashi Kiara definitely falls into the latter, constantly asking questions of her chat and keeping the conversation flowing. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but she has built a loyal following with her bubbly personality. And if you try to stand in her way, know you will cop a mouthful like one viewer did in a recent GTA V stream. Kiara had briefly paused the gameplay to talk about how sore her shoulders were that day — just general chatter. However, one viewer telling the VTuber to just “stop talking” sent her on an even bigger tangent about those in her chat who try to police her. “Oh, what do you want? I think you need to reflect on what you said, that’s disrespectful. This is Takanashi Kiwawa [sic] channel. You know what we do here? We tangent, and my viewers appreciate that,” she said. While semi-joking and playing it up, there was a definite line being drawn by Kiara. She doesn’t want people coming into her chat and telling her what she can and can’t do. It’s her stream, and her rules. Viewers don’t just want to watch gameplay — they want to hear the phoenix’s stories. Don’t like that? Find another streamer. “I don’t wanna be the streamer who plays games and says not a single f**king word besides anything that’s game related,” she continued. “I think that’s boring and if that’s not your kind of stream, you’re wrong here. I was talking and sharing my pain! Here at KFP, we share our f**king pain and I’m telling you I had such bad shoulder pain last night! “That’s all I wanted to say really — two seconds of dialogue and you can’t even wait for those two seconds? You won’t even let me talk for two seconds? If you don’t want to hear two seconds of personal, private dialogue then you should watch one of those muted playthroughs or play the game for yourself.” The chat did throw a few jabs back, most jokingly but some serious. Kiara had some fun with it though, really irking those there for the ‘gameplay’. “I see you guys saying ‘do you really need to talk’ — it’s interesting to see which ones are the ones who say that sh*t, have complaints. “‘Stop pausing’ — does that trigger you when I pause the game? ‘You talk too much Kiwawa’ — oh really, does that trigger you too? Then why the f**k are you here? Does that hurt you?” At the end of the day, there’s a lesson here. Kiara wants to stream her own way, and her community is supportive of that. Anyone who isn’t can find someone else more their style to watch, because the phoenix isn’t changing.

Hololive star Nanashi Mumei admits VTubing has “consumed all of my thoughts” – Dexerto
Hololive star Nanashi Mumei admits VTubing has “consumed all of my thoughts” YouTube: Nanashi MumeiVTubing is an intense industry, and Hololive star Nanashi Mumei has admitted as such. Council’s Guardian of Civilization says the agency has “consumed all of my thoughts” and that balance is hard to find, but she’s trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle amid it all. VTubing is more than just turning on your camera, loading up your VTuber model, and hitting “Start Streaming” on OBS. For the biggest talents in the world, there’s plenty of other activities to do and things to worry about. Nanashi Mumei is realizing all of that 12 months on from her Hololive debut. The Council star has managed to keep up a very intensive schedule while others have struggled — like Tsukumo Sana with her upcoming graduation. It was a dream of Mumei’s to join Hololive and make VTubing a viable full-time venture. However in doing so it has somewhat affected her lifestyle. “It has consumed all of my thoughts,” she told fans in a July 17 stream. “Maybe I go a second or so without thinking about Hololive — but every minute Hololive is on my brain. I’m thinking about being in Hololive, what’s happening, what I can do, what others are doing, and future plans. “I was thinking about maybe when I go back to civilization duties [graduate] I’ll have a bit more balance because I don’t think thinking about it as much as I do is actually all that healthy. I think thinking about one thing so much isn’t healthy — whether it’s something you love or your job. I think balance is very important for a sound, healthy mind and lifestyle.” Mumei explained the stresses of content creation reaches everyone — even if you’re living out your dreams. While she enjoys what she does 80% of the time, there’s a solid 20% of “stressing about stuff or being frustrated a little bit”. Although she’s so absorbed in the industry now, it’s not too different to how she used to live. Now she’s just more become aware of it. Mumei schedules in personal breaks for herself as part of her stream schedules and other activities so she doesn’t fall into old patterns. “I used to really hone in and really think about specific things,” she continued. “I didn’t have a lot of balance and when you don’t have that or a lot of things to do, it’s tough. It wasn’t good, so I don’t want to fall back into that. Amid all the hype in VTubing too, Mumei is still trying to keep in touch with ‘civilization’. There’s some sacrifices she’s had to make for her job, and it has impacted her health slightly. “I’ve always had a really bad sleep schedule. If I wasn’t streaming I’d be doing other things at the computer. Overall [being a part of Hololive] has tired me out a bit more, but I used to be tired for no reason so I don’t know.” However, she knows the telltale signs of falling into the rabbit hole — and she knows eventually she can go back to the old things she loved from her life before. “There’s some hobbies I can’t really do anymore because of it — I’ve had to put them on hold — but in the end it’s worth it. They’ll always be there. I still have them, I just don’t do them as much.”

Hololive star Ninomae Ina’nis makes big return after health-related hiatus – Dexerto
Hololive star Ninomae Ina’nis makes big return after health-related hiatus YouTube: Ninomae Ina’nisHololive star Ninomae Ina’nis took nearly 100 days to return, but the VTuber is back. After going on hiatus to deal with some health issues, Ina is back and ready to kick off 2023 strong, sharing what she got up to on her break and more on her January 8 stream. Ninomae Ina’nis worried fans when she went on an indefinite hiatus late in 2022 to sort out some health issues. The Hololive VTuber had been struggling for some time, and her doctor gave her an ultimatum to fix her health or face the consequences. It left her takodachis in the lurch, feeling lonely as they awaited her return. However, 2023 is off to a great start, with Ina returning to streaming on January 8. She apologized for not keeping fans updated on Twitter as she promised, but said it was for good reason as she worked through her anemia: “I was in this very stressed, very burned out state,” she opened up with. “A lot of the things that have caused some of the problems, like me feeling dead all the time, it’s always been like that. But the stress on top of me not taking care of myself very well made it pretty bad. “It got to a point where even when I was sitting down, my heart rate would be going up quite high. I was sitting down and my heart was still doing cardio. I talked to my doctor a lot and it made me realize I needed to fix a lot of stuff.” The health issues, along with some outside forces, put a lot of pressure on Ina’s mental health. She needed to take a bigger break from all things work-related to help her stress levels, and that involved spending plenty of time off-stream with her family and friends. “The unfortunate PC problems and other problems happening really built up some problems in the mental department. [My doctor said it was] an anxiety-slash-panic disorder where nothing is wrong, but your body thinks something is wrong and you’re always panicking. “It was a little rough, and part of why I had to spend a little time away from everything — I told members a while ago — but I had to spend a while with Mama’nis and Papa’nis. I didn’t bring anything work-related with me while I did that, and as much as I wanted to think about updating something, the thought about what to say, just did not put me in a good spot. I had to take care of myself first.” Ina continued to talk about what she got up to on her break, including visiting family in Japan, seeing fellow Hololive EN members IRyS and Mori Calliope, and generally relaxing. It helped her get better physically and mentally, and now she’s ready to take 2023 head on. “The doctor said it usually takes a little longer to get really better, but luckily I’m just surrounded by such supportive friends and family — and you guys. “I tried to check comments once in a while, but I couldn’t post because I didn’t have access to my account. I saw a lot of the clips you guys were making, even from my older content, and I really appreciate it. You guys are the best. “I’m glad to be back. I’m feeling much better, much more well-rested, and I think I’m ready to come back to streaming.” According to stats site VSTATS, Ninomae Ina’nis’ return stream peaked at 35,000 viewers, with an average of 33,000 takodachis rejoicing the return of their overlord. And just in case you thought she’d go back to lurking in the shadows, don’t worry, Ina promised fans she’d be back “tomorrow”. “Thank you everyone, for waiting for me. I’ll be continuing to take up your time from now on… I can finally say this: I’ll see you guys tomorrow!”

Hololive star Hakos Baelz is so loud on stream she got kicked out of home – Dexerto
Hololive star Hakos Baelz is so loud on stream she got kicked out of home YouTube: Hakos BaelzHakos Baelz is known for being a ruckus on stream with plenty of screaming and shouting. However, the Hololive star is so loud she actually got kicked out of home — kind of — so she could stream without disturbing anyone else under her roof. Hakos Baelz is known for being the embodiment of chaos on stream. After all, it’s in her lore for the rat to be somewhat of a loud nuisance to really shake things up. Screaming and shouting is not a rare occurrence if you tune into any Bae stream. It can be ear-splitting for some viewers, but for the people who live with her? They can’t just hit the mute button, and that led to an intervention with the Hololive star. Bae couldn’t stop herself from laughing after telling a story about her room renovation with ‘Papa Rat’ doing up the streamer’s room, as well as pushing forward with some changes to her kitchenette and bathroom. This led to some obvious questions about where she actually lives: “I’m not going to get into specifics, but I’m located in a secluded part of where I live, if that makes sense. I live outside of the house.” Without knowing too much about the specifics, it sounds a lot like a granny flat — a popular detached form of housing in Australia where Bae lives. However, the agent of chaos played it up a bit about being kicked out to the shed when she started streaming. “They have their house — well it’s still my house too because I still go in there for food and stuff, but I live in the shed! They kicked me out to the shed. “It’s disconnected from the rest of them because that’s how loud I am and they were like ‘yeah nah we can’t have you under the same roof.’ I live in a shed! There’s a gamer cage in the shed guys.” So for those watching Bae’s streams for the foreseeable future expect the construction noises to continue — as well as the loud screams she’s become somewhat known for. Hopefully they don’t get too loud to lead to any noise complaints.

Hololive star Hoshimachi Suisei returns from hiatus with mega concert – Dexerto
Hololive star Hoshimachi Suisei returns from hiatus with mega concert YouTube: Hoshimachi SuiseiHololive star Hoshimachi Suisei has returned from her two-month hiatus with a mega concert drawing in more than 140,000 peak viewers. The comet girl played some of her greatest hits, and announced her second album and solo live coming in January 2023. Hoshimachi Suisei left Hololive fans concerned after taking nearly two months off for throat surgery in September. While she wasn’t sure how long she was going to be out for, she said she was only coming back when she was 100% healthy. And in her 3D Live return concert on November 4, there was absolutely no signs of illness as Suisei belted out song after song for an hour straight in front of more than 140,000 concurrent viewers on YouTube. Suisei didn’t perform by herself. She invited popular DJ Taku Inoue for a decent chunk of the show, reuniting the Midnight Grand Orchestra duo. Tsukino Mito also came on board for a cover of Antigravity Girl, one of the NIJISANJI’s members’ original songs. The concert wasn’t the only bit of content-hungry fans were treated to either. Hoshimachi Suisei used her return live to announce her second album, Specter, as well as a second solo live to be held at the Tokyo Garden Theatre. Specter is set to release on January 25, 2023, while her live Shout in Crisis will take place three days later on January 28. Tickets will be available for in-person viewing as well as streaming. The star’s return also got raucous applause from her fellow Hololive JP talents. “Welcome home, Hoshimachi Suisei,” Sakura Miko tweeted just as the concert started. Others like AZKi, Takane Lui, and Tsunomaki Watame also shared their joy at the one-hour performance. As for what she’s been up to in the interim? Prepping for this live is one thing, as well as the full plate of album work and the next big concert. However, the smaller details will likely be shared as Suisei returns to her regular stream schedule starting in the coming days.

Hololive star Mori Calliope explains how she overcame streaming “anxiety” – Dexerto
Hololive star Mori Calliope explains how she overcame streaming “anxiety” YouTube: Mori CalliopeMori Calliope might be one of Hololive’s biggest names now — and has a very outgoing on-stream attitude — but the English VTuber wasn’t always like this. She opened up to fans about the “anxiety” she had when she started streaming, and how she overcame it. Mori Calliope is the beloved reaper of Hololive, having amassed a massive following since debuting in 2020. Her legion of “deadbeats” — the name she’s given to her fanbase — love everything she does from rapping on stream, to playing Jump King (with mixed results), and even cooking. However, it’s this love from her community that has allowed her to come out of her shell since joining Hololive. In a candid speech during her Christmas stream, Calli explained how she said she would not have the same level of motivation to stream and create content if she didn’t have her fans by her side. “I really respect people who can stream to like 3 people at a time,” she said. “I imagine myself streaming without my deadbeats and I feel like I could still do it, but it’s just the truth that you guys just give me purpose. I’m not going to lie to you guys and say ‘I could do it if absolutely no one was watching.’ “When I think about seeing you guys get so excited, envisioning your smiles, and seeing your hearts in the chat, it makes me want to work harder. That’s the truth.” Calli added her “deepest wish” is to “keep having fun” with her deadbeats on stream, no matter what that looks like. There is a good reason for it too: she feels like the support she gets, no matter what she does, gives her the freedom to stream what she wants. There’s no obligation to stick onto one schedule — Calli can explore with her streams (which she does quite frequently) and just have fun creating content. “I didn’t really like streaming very much in the beginning to be completely honest. It made me feel anxious all the time and made me sad because I felt like I was failing all the time and I already had so many self-esteem issues,” she admitted. The related segment begins at 3:20:15. “But you guys really helped make me feel better, and now I love streaming, and you guys encourage me to do what I love. Now I’m just streaming games that I love and streaming content I like making.” From her small beginnings, Calli has finally found confidence in herself, and a purpose to keep going live: “I started off with a weird relationship with streaming, but now I love it. I want to do it more.”

Hololive star Amelia Watson curious about potential but “scary” Twitch shift – Dexerto
Hololive star Amelia Watson curious about potential but “scary” Twitch shift YouTube: Amelia Watson / TwitchHololive EN star Amelia Watson has spoken about the possibility of swapping from YouTube to Twitch for even just one stream, claiming a shift would be an “interesting experiment”. The potential for more Hololive streams on Twitch continues to rise as talents like Amelia Watson continue to talk about jumping from YouTube to the Amazon-owned platform. The Hololive star was having issues with her YouTube stream stats showing incorrectly, and was asked by viewers about potentially swapping to Twitch for a stream or two. The detective was hesitant, but said a swap could be an “interesting experiment”. “It kind of sounds scary to stream on Twitch but I wonder what it’d be like. I wonder how it would change. It’d be an interesting experiment. I think Twitch is pretty accurate for [stats],” Amelia said. She also highlighted the fact some Hololive talents like Usada Pekora have already streamed on Twitch, specifically to do watch parties with fans. “Some JP talents already streamed on Twitch but it’s mostly watchalongs because they have the Prime watchalong feature which automatically syncs it up or something,” she continued. Fans were supportive of the idea, saying they’d love to react to content and watch some shows with her. However, she didn’t give a definitive answer to a swap in the near future. The related segment begins at 17:43. Amelia’s comments echo those of fellow Hololive EN star Gawr Gura, who explained that she might dabble in some watchalongs in 2022 even if Twitch is a “whole different atmosphere for streaming”. “There’s a lot of lingo that I don’t know about. They have their own words and phrases and stuff I don’t know. I know some of the words make it over here, but I feel like Twitch chat is less conversation and more massive walls of emotes,” Gura said. Read More: Is getting DMCA banned the new Twitch meta? – “I’m not going to say it’s good or bad — it’s just scary.” There are currently no plans for any of the Hololive EN talents to stream on Twitch, but as the discourse continues and fan appeal grows, it could just be a matter of time.

Hololive star Hakos Baelz explains why VTubers can’t share off-collab info early – Dexerto
Hololive star Hakos Baelz explains why VTubers can’t share off-collab info early YouTube: Hakos BaelzHololive star Hakos Baelz has opened up on the VTuber agency’s recent off-collab in Japan, saying the surprise element is there for a reason. There’s a safety risk around these events, so talents can’t risk letting people know their location beforehand. Hololive’s English talents shocked fans when they, one-by-one, announced their arrival into the agency’s home base of Japan, getting rolling on plenty of off-collabs (offline collaborations) and special appearances. No matter whether they were from Myth, Council, or standalone star IRyS, everyone was getting in on the action. Mori Calliope even eluded to the fact graduated member Tsukumo Sana was in town — although not on official Hololive business given her departure. The fact it was a surprise disappointed some viewers, who were hoping for a bit more build-up and hype towards the affair. Council VTuber Hakos Baelz opened up on this fact on stream, trying to nip speculation in the bud and set ground rules for future offline collaborations: “We need to talk about something serious… It’s not really serious, I’m just making a big deal out of it. But I do want to clarify something with you guys. “I noticed that there were some viewers who were upset about the fact that we didn’t tell you that we were coming to Japan and that we suddenly surprised you guys with an off-collab. “Although I understand that you’d want to have a heads up, we physically can’t say anything. We can’t.” The reason for this is simple. The people behind each Hololive talent are meant to be private individuals. If they were to share information publicly, before the trip started, there’d be an obvious risk of being mobbed by fans on arrival, or worse. That’s a chance Hololive, and Hakos Baelz, are never going to take. “For those who watch me, I just want to let you know now, I will never ever tell you guys beforehand if I’m going somewhere for safety reasons obviously. Just never expect that from me. I may tell you plans a year in advance, like ‘this year I want to go here,’ but I would never tell you ‘I have a flight tomorrow.’ Okay?” After setting the ground rules for future collaborations, Bae thanked fans for their support of the initial streams, and promised more great work from Japan in the future. “I’m also really happy all you guys enjoyed the off-collab, and that’s just something I wanted to clarify before we move on. “I may be staying in Japan for quite a while. I am going back [home], but I am staying here for quite a little bit of time.”

Hololive’s Shirakami Fubuki asks fans to not “poke” idols about Uruha Rushia’s removal – Dexerto
Hololive’s Shirakami Fubuki asks fans to not “poke” idols about Uruha Rushia’s removal YouTube: Shirakami FubukiSome of Hololive’s biggest stars are speaking out after star VTuber Uruha Rushia was removed from the group late on February 23. Shirakami Fubuki asked fans to not “poke” other idols asking them for the reason behind her dismissal, and to instead support talents through the tough time. Uruha Rushia was one of the most popular members in Hololive. The butterfly-loving necromancer was beloved for her streams of all types, from typical gameplay broadcasts to ASMR. However, Rushia’s contract with Hololive was terminated on February 23 with Cover Corp claiming she “leaked information…and caused the company to suffer reputational damage.” Fans of Rushia quickly flooded the streams of other Hololive members to express their sadness — or anger — with her sudden dismissal. While fellow stars like Shirakami Fubuki thanked fans for their concerns, the talents won’t be sharing any information about it anytime soon. “As some viewers mentioned earlier in the comments, there was an announcement from Cover Corp earlier. Thank you very much for mentioning your concern. What’s written in the announcement is everything,” Fubuki said, according to a translation. Rushia’s firing hit talents like Shiranui Flare particularly hard. Flare had collaborated a lot with Rushia since her debut in September 2019, with the two being a part of the same generation — Hololive Fantasy. “It’s really sad things ended up like this,” Flare stated. “As [a member of] the third Generation, we will keep doing our best from now on, so I hope you guys keep continuing to support us.” Fubuki repeated this point. The first generation Hololive member with nearly 2 million YouTube subscribers asked fans to keep tuning in to their streams. However, she also warned viewers from jumping into other idols’ streams just to get a reason why, because many are still trying to process it and won’t be able to divulge the details regardless. “We want to keep making our fans smile,” Fubuki added. “I’m sure you guys are sad, but we will keep having fun streams to make you guys smile! “I hope you guys refrain from mentioning this too much or poking other Hololive members [about Rushia’s removal]. Thank you so much.”

Hololive shows off even more figures coming in 2024 – Dexerto
Hololive shows off even more figures coming in 2024 Hololive Production/Ninomae Ina’nisHololive’s latest figures were shown off at the Japanese convention, WinterFest 2024. It brings some newer stars to the plastic world. Vtubers are now a permanent mainstay of our content world. None has capitalized on this as much as Hololive, who has yet even more additions coming. At Winter Wonder Fest 2024, a Japanese convention, the company displayed some of the upcoming figures. These include two new Nendoroids from Hololive’s sixth generation, Secret Society holoX. Both Takane Lui and Kazama Iroha will be joining the extensive line up of Hololive Nendoroids from Good Smile. There’s currently no release date for either, but both were shown off with their full paints applied. Lui and Iroha aren’t the first from holoX, as La+’s Nendoroid has just finished its rounds of pre-orders at some stores. However, fans are still waiting for release date announcements for the other two members, Hakui Koyori and Sakamata Chloe. All five members’ Nendoroids were on display at the event in full color, indicating that they must be close. Alongside the Nendoroids were the other figures that are either already announced or upcoming. From Good Smile’s Pop Up Parade, Amane Kanata is next up to get a figure. The cutesy attitude from the angel-based Vtuber comes across in full force here. Again, there’s no release date, but it being fully painted is a great indication that this should go on sale soon. Hololive’s Ina gets new Figma figure Lastly, Hololive English’s Ninomae Ina’Nis (Ina) is getting a posable Figma figure as well. This was shown in its prototype stage, with no paints, but it looks to be on par with the other excellent entries. Previously, other members from Ina’s group have made their debut in the Figma line. Previous Hololive English figmas have been for Mori Calliope and Gwar Gura, with other Japanese members also getting the Figma treatment in the past. While there’s no release dates here, at least there’s multiple pointers that these should be hitting your usual figure haunts very soon. This event also has the potential to get Hololive fans interested in competitive Pokemon and could serve as an effective entry point into the scene.

Hololive rule change lets new debuts & 3D reveals shine across all branches – Dexerto
Hololive rule change lets new debuts & 3D reveals shine across all branches YouTube: Mori CalliopeA Hololive rule change is letting new debuts and 3D reveals shine across all branches. Once only observed within each individual branch, talents will have those special moments all to themselves — and fans are loving the change. New debuts and 3D lives are special moments for VTubers, especially when you’re in an agency as big as Hololive. When you join a group as illustrious as COVER CORP’s, it’s extra momentous to be the star of the show, even if just for an hour. There has been an unwritten rule within the VTuber agency for those in the same branch. Japanese members would give new talents some breathing room, and get together to support those massive 3D reveals by not streaming at the same time. The same applies for English, Indonesia, and Stars, but it didn’t really extend cross-branch. Japanese members would stream during English debuts, and Stars debuts would sometimes be overshadowed by regular Hololive streams. That courtesy now extends to all members though, written in stone. An internal Hololive rule change means talents of all branches cannot stream alongside a debut — whether it be a new talent, or an existing VTuber’s 3D reveal or live. Usada Pekora shared the news on her stream after having to delay her Fate Grand Order broadcast due to Momosuzu Nene’s 3D live to celebrate her second anniversary, and it’s been widely praised in the VTuber fandom. “The rules regarding the ‘overlap ban’ have changed, just so you know. Up until now, it was debut streams and 3D reveal streams [in the same branch] we weren’t allowed to stream at the same time as. “But from now on, it’s not only applied to Hololive but Hololive Production [including Stars]. “It’s not allowed to overlap debut streams or 3D reveals. Management said those are once-in-a-lifetime special days, and we agreed.” It means not only do VTubers get special moments to shine, but also smaller branches like Holostars English and Japan can not get outmuscled by their Hololive counterparts during big events.

Hololive responds to Rushia controversy as Vtuber’s fans angry over relationship rumors – Dexerto
Hololive responds to Rushia controversy as Vtuber’s fans angry over relationship rumors Rushia / HololiveFollowing a drama that erupted after fans of popular Vtuber Rushia were apparently angry to discover that the streamer may not be single, talent agency Hololive has issued a response, explaining that the personal life of streamers “is left up to the individual.” Uhura Rushia is one of the most popular Vtubers on the Hololive network, with over 1.5 million subscribers. In February, Twitter erupted with angry fans who believed they had uncovered the “truth” about Rushia being in a relationship. Mafumafu, a singer and fellow YouTuber with over 3 million subscribers, had messaged Rushia on stream simply saying that he was heading home. Many viewers took this to mean that he was in some way dating Rushia, and posts quickly appeared on both Japanese and English-speaking social media, claiming Rushia was lying about being single. On February 11, Mafumafu issued a response, saying that he was sorry for causing misunderstandings and that they were just friends, and did not live together. Rushia was faced with increasing backlash, with many blaming the level of hate on “idol culture”, which is becoming more prevalent in the Vtubing world. https://twitter.com/DandyflossVT/status/1492134403593674755 Hololive statement on Rushia drama On February 14, Hololive, owned by COVER Corp, issued a formal statement on the situation. “We, as COVER, do not interfere with our talents’ private lives,” the statement reads. “Due to the slander and defamation that accompanied this case on various social media platforms, not only Uruha Rushia herself but other talents within our company have suffered harsh emotional stress.” Shortly after the statement from Hololive, Rushia tweeted: “I’m sorry I couldn’t send out a message sooner… I’m so sorry for causing you all so much worry and trouble. Once I’ve calmed down physically and mentally, I’ll send out a proper message. Sorry.” すぐに発信できずごめんなさい…皆様にご心配と迷惑をかけて大変申し訳ないです。また、心身ともに落ち着き次第ちゃんと発信させてください。ごめんね。 — 潤羽るしあ【活動終了】 (@uruharushia) February 14, 2022 Fans have been sending messages of support to the Vtuber amid the drama, especially after she made several worrying posts before deleting them. In one now-deleted post, she said “I can’t eat, I can’t sleep, I have trouble walking, there are so many terrible falsehoods that I want to die right now.” The situation is another example of some of the extreme “parasocial” relationships that grow in all aspects of streaming, but are particularly common in the Vtuber space.

Hololive reveals ambitious new US-based branch to takeover the West – Dexerto
Hololive reveals ambitious new US-based branch to takeover the West Hololive ProductionHololive has revealed ambitious plans to expand into the Western market as the newly founded Cover USA to facilitate global expansion and further VTuber culture. Though its biggest rival Nijisanji has had a tough time with ongoing allegations as of late, Hololive is doing better than ever. Not only does the leading agency dominate the VTuber subscriber rankings but also employs both the most subscribed Japanese VTuber and the most subscribed VTuber altogether. A big part of this success was the creation of Hololive EN in September 2020, which saw the brand expand into the Western market. This has proven a huge success with Gawr Gura alone accumulating over 4 million subscribers. Now, Cover Corporation is looking to expand further with the long-term goal of furthering VTuber culture globally, starting with North America. Hololive founds dedicated USA branch in large-scale expansion Hololive’s parent company Cover Corporation has announced the founding of Cover USA, a new western branch that will handle the VTuber agency’s business affairs in North America. The official announcement explains, “The main objective for opening their first location outside of Japan is aimed at localization efforts to facilitate global expansion,” before later elaborating, “COVER Corporation believes that to expand and promote ‘VTuber’ culture globally, it is crucial to establish localized business environments.” CEO Motoaki Tanigo, better known as Yagoo, reaffirmed, “We are excited to announce the establishment of our first overseas branch to further bring awareness to the VTuber culture in North America. Through our North American Branch, we aim to expand our local PR efforts and business operations.” As part of the expansion, Hololive promises to “further deploy various measures to expand the local community,” as well as, “create a new field where virtual entertainment transcends borders and generations,” allowing aspiring VTubers from across the globe to achieve their goals. The reception to this news has been positive, with Hololive fans excited to see what the VTuber agency has in store and how this expansion will benefit both existing and future talents.

Hololive and NIJISANJI join forces to stop VTuber “slander and defamation” – Dexerto
Hololive and NIJISANJI join forces to stop VTuber “slander and defamation” NIJISANJI / HololiveVTuber agency giants Hololive and NIJISANJI have joined forces to tackle “slander and defamation” in the community. The two companies gave a statement in unity, thanking fans for supporting their content while also outlining how they’ll stop harassment. Hololive and NIJISANJI are VTubing’s two biggest agencies. The Japanese groups are home to nearly 300 talents between them, all of them being viral hits in their own rights. While they’ve collaborated before on the screen, the two companies behind them — Cover Corp and ANYCOLOR — are joining forces off it to try and combat “slander and defamation” against their respective talents. In a joint statement on December 5, both agencies thanked fans for “enjoying the various content that we provide. “However, on the other hand, we condemn the fact that the reputation or trust of virtual livers and talents that are affiliated with our companies are being unnecessarily tarnished, and we truly regret that acts of defamation and the like are being committed by certain individuals with the intention of unjustly interfering with VTuber activities.” The two have historically gone alone on the issue, supporting their respective companies only. By joining forces, Cover Corp and ANYCOLOR “intend to go even further by cooperating with other companies in accordance with the circumstances and matters at hand.” This includes cracking down on defamation, privacy infringement, trolling on social media, and stalking in real life. “We will be sharing know-how to execute countermeasures,… which includes taking legal action, and structuring a system where we can work together with the police and other companies.” Both Hololive and NIJISANJI have already been cooperating for months, revealing they have taken down a number of “summary sites that we have determined to have posted information that tarnished the reputation or trust of our affiliated virtual livers and talents.” NIJISANJI’s task force dedicated to stamping out harassment has dealt with dozens of cases since its inception in September 2021, while Hololive has also been known to deal with unruly comments behind closed doors. It comes after NIJISANJI VTuber Axia Krone graduated last week due to harassment he faced from both passionate fans and his detractors, while Hololive’s Laplus Darkness is taking an extended break for mental health reasons. Both companies are hoping to avoid such instances in the future, so VTubing can be safer for all. “By the two companies working together this time around and going forward to carry out various countermeasures, we have taken a great step forward toward creating an environment where affiliated virtual livers and talents can comfortably engage in their activities.”

Hololive reveals new TEMPUS VTubers: HOLOSTARS EN second wave debut – Dexerto
Hololive reveals new TEMPUS VTubers: HOLOSTARS EN second wave debut YouTube: HololiveHOLOSTARS EN is expanding to kick off 2023, with Hololive announcing four new talents joining the existing TEMPUS branch of the all-male VTuber group. Gavis Bettel, Machina X Flayon, Banzoin Hakka, and Josuiji Shinri will all be debuting on January 7. 2023 has only just ticked over, but Hololive are gearing up for a big year by getting the first agency VTuber debut out of the way just a week in. After launching HOLOSTARS EN in 2022 with the original core four of TEMPUS, they are now introducing four new VTubers into the same branch at the start of January. Gavis Bettel, Machina X Flayon, Banzoin Hakka, and Josuiji Shinri were all announced as the group’s new members on January 4, with a debut date penned in for January 7, 2023. Who are TEMPUS’ new VTubers in Hololive? The four new members in HOLOSTARS EN TEMPUS give a bit of a different vibe compared to the original adventurer’s guild set up by Regis Altare and co. However, much like the rag-tag group before it, they all seamlessly mesh with each other. Gavis Bettel is described as the “full-time fool”, with a full magician’s getup. His official bio on the TEMPUS website claims he “currently performs in the combat arena, but is planning to take his talents global some day.” Machina X Flayon is the pilot of TEMPUS, although is a bit of a fast-speaking incoherent mess in his lore. Banzoin Hakka, with dual-wielded spears, is an exorcist from a long line of exorcists, who “fights not only out of a sense of duty, but also because he feels a special kind of excitement.” The last member, Josuiji Shinri, is a ronin known for his sharp aim. After going into isolation following a war, he took up his craft once again to help TEMPUS on their mission. The four tie into the original TEMPUS lore by hopping onto the group following a battle in Xenokuni, which could make for some exciting adventures between the two halves of the first HOLOSTARS EN generation. After all, they do like to roleplay a bit. The quartet is expected to debut on January 7, 2023, starting at 7PM PT with Gavis Bettel. You can watch all of their debut streams on YouTube.

New Hololive member IRyS makes biggest debut in VTuber history – Dexerto
New Hololive member IRyS makes biggest debut in VTuber history HololiveA VSinger named IRyS is the latest member to join the popular VTuber group Hololive, and she just made the biggest debut in history with nearly 100,000 concurrent viewers on YouTube. Hololive is at the forefront of the VTuber craze on YouTube. They describe themselves as a talent agency that manages more than 50 virtual creators, all of which are taking the internet by storm, including their latest members, IRyS. IRyS, who the company describes as a half-demon, half-angel, has been sent to “deliver hope” to people in the form of her lyrics, songs, and determination. And if her debut stream is anything to go by, it seems like the masses can’t get enough of her. Before her first stream went live, she already had nearly 250,000 subscribers on YouTube. Once she did, it climbed even more as 100,000 people tuned in to see what she’s all about. And she didn’t disappoint. IRyS introduced herself and proceeded to charm the socks off her viewers right out of the gate. She talked about who she is, what she’s all about, and even performed a song — fitting considering she’s a part of their new vocal group, Project HOPE. She might not be as popular as Gawr Gura — not yet, anyway. She’ll need more than 3 million subscribers for that. But it was still the biggest debut in VTuber history, and a sign that the craze isn’t slowing down anytime soon. What is Hololive’s Project HOPE? IRyS is the first member of Hololive’s Project HOPE, a new generation of talent that seems to be all about one thing: restoring hope to the world. And based on what we’ve seen, maybe they will really help make a difference. Fans already can’t wait to see what other characters will follow in her footsteps and the inevitable collaboration that will happen between them. But in the meantime, there will still be plenty of IRyS’ content to enjoy. So, don’t forget to check her out on the official YouTube channel, as well as on Twitter, where she already boasts 200,000 followers.

That song alone has racked up nearly 2 million listens on Spotify in 6 weeks and 9 million views on YouTube. That’s not all for Calli though. She will be going straight into a concert for her new album too, with a special birthday 3D performance on April 4. “My birthday is going to be a 3D concert,” she added on stream. “All of our 3Ds are getting revealed [at Holofes], so more 3D stuff is going to be happening for everyone. Hololive terminates Uruha Rushia’s contract for leaking private information – Dexerto
Hololive terminates Uruha Rushia’s contract for leaking private information YouTube: Uruha RushiaHololive has parted ways with star VTuber Uruha Rushia on February 23, terminating her contract immediately. Cover Corp claimed Rushia “violated her contract by leaking information…and caused the company to suffer reputational damage.” Uruha Rushia was one of Hololive’s biggest VTubers with nearly 1.6 million subscribers on YouTube. However, the necromancer has been fired from the star VTuber group, effective immediately, on February 23. Cover Corp, the parent company of Hololive, claimed “it has been apparent for some time that she has been distributing false information to third parties and has been leaking information, including communications regarding business matters.” “We were able to confirm that she engaged in acts that: violated her contract by leaking information that she acquired from the company… and caused the company to suffer reputational damage, such as by publicizing falsehoods to various related parties,” they stated. “As a result, we, as a company, have determined that it has become difficult to continue managing and supporting her and have elected to make this decision.” Cover Corp did not state exactly what information was leaked that led to Rushia’s dismissal. On top of all activities being canceled, Uruha Rushia’s YouTube channel will be removed in March, deleting all her videos. They will not be archiving the channel like they did for Kiryu Coco, who graduated in July 2021. Notice regarding Termination of Our Contract with “Uruha Rushia” English: https://t.co/5TMlIsJt4W Japanese: https://t.co/IFRGdcKbuy— hololive production (English) (@hololive_En) February 24, 2022 Rushia has made a statement on her termination, although not under that name. Returning to her old alias, Mikeneko Doro, she said her “heart was shattered” and apologized to viewers. Rushia’s last tweet from the Hololive-affiliated account was made on February 14, in which she apologized for rumors regarding a potential relationship with popular musician ‘Mafumafu’ floating around. Her last stream was on February 6. Fans who purchased merchandise as part of her recent birthday promotion in January 2022 will be refunded. Hololive are working with other talents “on compliance matters so that similar incidents do not happen in the future.”

Hololive star Gawr Gura becomes first VTuber to break 4 million YouTube subscribers – Dexerto
Hololive star Gawr Gura becomes first VTuber to break 4 million YouTube subscribers YouTube: Gawr GuraHololive’s resident catshark Gawr Gura continues to trailblaze in the VTuber community, smashing even more records on their continued rise. Gura is the first VTuber to break 4 million YouTube subscribers, and there’s no signs of slowing down. Nearly 12 months to the day since Gawr Gura became the biggest VTuber on YouTube — overtaking the mother of all virtual entertainers Kizuna AI — the Hololive star has smashed yet another record in the space. Gura is now the first VTuber to break 4 million YouTube subscribers, reaching the landmark achievement on June 16. It comes less than two years after her debut, and her growth shows no signs of slowing down. Gura celebrated the occasion with an unarchived karaoke stream, thanking her fans for being there on the journey. “Thank you for your very crazy support. 4 million — that is a massive number. That is an insanely large number,” she said. “4 million in almost two years.” The catshark’s rapid rise through the YouTube ranks is almost uncontested. She reached a million subscribers in just over a month following her debut (39 days to be precise), and has continued soaring since as the face of VTubing. However, there are some competitors coming for her title. NIJISANJI’s Hyakumentenbara Salome recently broke Gura’s record of the fastest VTuber to 1 million subscribers, with the ‘million point lady’ doing so in just 13 days. With that being said though, there’s still clear daylight between Gura and other VTubers. The next most popular Hololive star, Mori Calliope, only just broke 2 million subscribers. Kizuna AI is still second overall with just over 3 million subscribers, but is currently on hiatus. AAAAAA 4MILLION !? Let’s celebrate and SING!!! 🎶https://t.co/N5ie6jeY2S pic.twitter.com/MBN2wgax2x— Gawr Gura 🔱 (@gawrgura) June 16, 2022 There’s still plenty to come in the future for Gawr Gura too. With her recent 3D debut on stage and Hololive’s rapid expansion, the catshark has plenty more activities for fans to look forward to.

VTuber stars recruited for Hololive ERROR horror game: Release date, gameplay, trailers – Dexerto
VTuber stars recruited for Hololive ERROR horror game: Release date, gameplay, trailers Cover CorpWorld-wide VTubing sensation Hololive are getting their first official game. Named Hololive ERROR, the horror title centers around a high school boasting all the agency’s top talents. Here’s what you need to know. Hololive has already managed to take over live streaming and even the musical world. Now, they’re coming for video games too. After months of speculation, Hololive ERROR has finally arrived. It’s Cover Corp’s first game featuring their mega-popular VTuber talents, with a focus on a number of their Japanese idols. The game is now out for release in July 2022, so here’s how you can get your hands on it — and a brief synopsis for those a little scared for what their idols are about to get themselves into. Hololive ERROR trailers & gameplay Hololive ERROR was first teased in a three-minute trailer dating back to August 2021. The video is set in a dark, ominous school, with a person walking through the hallways. They meet Tokino Sora (Shino), Hololive’s first VTuber, who follows them around asking them “will you forever be my friend?” The players’ hand then opens up while standing in one of the classrooms, showing a triangular token. Later trailers and the website go deeper into this story. The main character is a journalist for an occult magazine who goes to investigate a high school before finding himself “entangled in a terrifying paranormal phenomenon.” Your goal is to escape from the town alive, presumably with the assistance of some of the Hololive VTubers. What VTubers are confirmed for Hololive ERROR? A number of Hololive’s Japanese talents will make up a part of Hololive ERROR’s story. Some, like Tokino Sora, play a major part. Others only drop in for a scene or two, but there’s plenty of cameos to be had. You can find a full list of characters, and the VTubers that play them, below: Shino (Tokino Sora) – Suzune (Momosuzu Nene) – Saki (Aki Rosenthal) – Inari (Shirakami Fubuki) – Hanabi (Natsuiro Matsuri) – Touka (Yukihana Lamy) – Nanase (Hoshimachi Suisei) – Sakura (Sakura Miku) – Yae (Shirogane Noel) – Shiina (Shishiro Botan) – Honoka (Omaru Polka) – Yuka (Nekomata Okayu) – Akane (Inugami Korone) – Uzuki (Usada Pekora) – Saya (Yozora Mel) – Miku (Ookami Mio) – Kaoru (Oozora Subaru) – Mari (Houshou Marine) – Kana (Tokoyami Towa) – Kanade (Amane Kanata) – Hotaru (Shiranui Flare) – Yuki (Roboco) – Mitsuki (Himemori Luna) – Usada Pekora, known for her love of horror games, is among the first to stream Hololive ERROR — so expect plenty of the agency’s VTubers to give the game a whirl. Hololive ERROR release date Hololive ERROR went live on July 18, 2022, and fans can buy the game directly on the Hololive website for ¥1,000 ($10 USD). A collector’s edition with postcards and an artbook is listed for ¥8,000 ($80 USD). If the video game isn’t enough for you, Hololive has released an entire series of manga-style videos regarding Hololive ERROR totalling more than an hour — so you can give those a watch too. However if psychological horror games aren’t your cup of tea, why don’t you try Holocure, the unofficial shoot-em-up game taking the VTubing community by storm?

Hololive EN teases Gen 3 line-up and it features Vtuber twins – Dexerto
Hololive EN teases Gen 3 line-up and it features Vtuber twins Hololive ENHololive EN has given us our first look at the next additions to its ever-growing roster with Gen 3 on the way, and if the trailer’s anything to by it will deliver the agency’s first Vtuber twin pairing. First debuting in September 2020, Hololive EN is Cover’s English-speaking branch that delivers content for a primarily Western audience. It is home to several of the biggest Vtubers in the world including Amelia Watson, Mori Calliope, and Gawr Gura. Despite its impressive growth, the EN branch hasn’t received an expansion or new generation in quite some time. The last new one was holoCouncil which made its debut in August 2021, almost two years ago. But now that dry streak has come to an end with Hololive finally revealing the next chapter of its EN branch and what fans can expect. Hololive EN Gen 3 will have five members and a pair of twins After almost two years of waiting Hololive EN has confirmed that Gen 3 is on its way. The reveal was made on the official Hololive Production Twitter account. The reveal simply reads: “July 25th, 8 PM PDT | 12 PM JST (+1 Day),” with the attached trailer showcasing the new members. The provided date is thought to be when names, socials, and identities will be revealed as opposed to when the talents will debut. Until more details are revealed we are mostly forced to rely on speculation. However, it seems a safe bet to assume that Hololive is getting its first Vtuber twins with two of the featured characters looking very similar to one another. They share the same hair color, animal ears, tails, stature, claws, and even similar clothing. The concept of Vtuber twins has been done by independent content creators but is largely untouched by larger corporations. The anticipation for a new generation has been growing with auditions opening in May 2023 and a teaser being shown hinting at the arrival of new members at the end of Connect the World, Hololive EN’s first concert.

The opening of Hololive English Promise coincides with the closure of Project: HOPE: “Accordingly, VSinger project ‘Project: HOPE’ has been closed, and IRyS will now officially belong to “Hololive English -Promise-” starting from October 8th, 2023 (PDT).” Hololive concludes by assuring fans there will be no major changes to the activities of Promise’s five members. She materialized in the mortal realm for one reason; to save nature, which includes all organic matter on the planet. She is warm and affectionate, but has a hidden dark side, too. Ouro Kronii – Time The third member, Ouro Kronii, is the Warden of Time. Like Tsukumo Sana, she has a distant and aloof personality. However, she’s also developed cruel tendencies throughout the years, and is known for being sadistic and prideful. Nanashi Mumei – Civilization The fourth member, Nanashi Mumei, is the Guardian of Civilization. She is different from other members in the sense that she has a closer relationship with humans, and is gentle, wise, and an exceptionally hard worker. Hakos Baelz – Chaos Last but not least, the fifth member of the council is none other than Hakos Baelz, the embodiment of chaos. Despite being in charge of the council, her innocent appearance has fooled many into not realizing she’s the harbinger of chaos. Hololive Council VTuber debut date As confirmed by Hololive, the five members of the council will debut on Tuesday, August 17. You can expect to see plenty more of them from that date onwards. Their social media accounts are already racking up followers, too. So, it’s only a matter of time before they become the next big thing.

After more than two years, Hololive EN now have their 3D models — kind of. While other VTubers have taken over the internet with full VR rigs, the Hololive cast have been stuck with Live2D models since the dawn of time. Some of the Japanese talents have performed with 3D models at concerts, but none of the English ones. That’s changed though, with three of the original quintet — Takanashi Kiara, Amelia Watson, and Gawr Gura — finally showing off their more fleshy forms. The models were designed by Priichu, all being hosted in VR. 🧡💙💛 Thank you guys for watching!!!!HUGE shout out to @VRChat team, @Priichu’s amazing models, @Hasksoft for conversions, @SeafoamBoi & @nullrefrepro & @kanauru for the AWESOME stages and @Twilight_3D for the cute kfp hat ^o^ pic.twitter.com/a3N9Iozyq7 — Amelia Watson🔎holoEN (@watsonameliaEN) March 9, 2022 It’s still a very early iteration of what’s to come for the EN gang, but the debut has lived up to its chaotic promise. The three stars hopped on the stage, with Kiara giving Amelia and Gura some dancing lessons. Gura first came onto stage dressed up as an egg before Kiara hatched it open to reveal the beloved shark. While Kiara was trying her best to teach the duo great dance moves though, Amelia and Gura were discovering the infinite potential of their 3D models by flipping each other off. There were a few malfunctions and one water bottle knocked over in all the fun, but the two-hour stream was a hit with fans. “I’m excited to show you guys my real dance skills with proper tracking soon,” Kiara said. “And I will also try to improve the tracking with VR for next time! It’s not the first time Hololive EN have appeared in 3D form, but it’s the closest to their actual avatars yet. Each of the members have cute chibi models for VRChat which they have dusted off from time to time, but this model is building towards a proper to-size 3D form. This is only the first rendition of it too, with the full 3D debut expected to happen at SUPER EXPO 2022 later in March. It’ll be a full-scale setup too — not just basic VR models.

Hololive EN open first auditions since August 2021 – Dexerto
Hololive EN open first auditions since August 2021 HololiveHololive EN has opened its first auditions for its next wave of Vtubers for the first time since Council debuted in August 2021. Throughout its history, Hololive has become well known for debuting a lot of Vtubers. Across all of its branches including Holostars, parent company Cover currently employs 79 unique talents. The gap between each new generation varies but it typically takes anywhere from a few months to around a year in each branch. However, Hololive EN hasn’t debuted any new talents since Council in August 2021, but that dry streak looks to be ending soon. Hololive English auditions are open As announced on its official Twitter, Hololive EN has opened auditions up for its third generation of Vtuber talents. The announcement Tweet reads: “Hololive English is holding auditions for Virtual content creators! We are looking forward to seeing our future talents!” Attached is an application form that provides more details including the benefits Hololive provides, the kinds of activities expected of its talents, and the general requirements. Those considering applying will have to meet these requirements to be considered. These prerequisites include being at least 18, being fluent in English, and not being locked into an existing contract with another agency. Once applications are closed, Hololive will then move on to the screening process. Those that pass screening will be offered interviews over video calls, and finally, a select few will be given the green light. The auditions page does not specify how many talents will be selected for this upcoming generation. However, both Hololive EN Myth and Council debuted with five new talents so somewhere around that mark is expected. Although this is the English branch’s first generation in almost two years, Hololive has expanded elsewhere. The Japan branch saw Gen 6 debut in November 2021, Holo ID Gen 3 followed in March 2022, and twelve Holostar Vtubers across both EN and JP have appeared since.

Hololive EN reveals new Gen 4 members debuting this weekend – Dexerto
Hololive EN reveals new Gen 4 members debuting this weekend HololiveHololive has unveiled Gen 4 of its English branch, with the new wave featuring four members that will all be debuting this weekend. First unveiled on the VTuber agency’s official X/Twitter account – which was shortly followed by a reveal trailer – Hololive English’s next generation is coming with the new wave ‘Justice’ set to debut between June 21 and June 22, 2024. Codenamed holoJustice, EN’s fourth generation is made up of four members: Elizabeth Rose Bloodflame, Gigi Murin, Cecilia Immergreen, and Raora Panthera. Their lore entries describe holoJustice as “a group of rowdy troublemakers who work on the fringes of an uptight, strict organization,” with their latest mission tasking them with tracking down a group of prison escapees, or as you know them, holoAdvent. If you’re interested in checking out the girls’ first streams, here is when and where you can watch each of their debuts: Elizabeth Rose Bloodflame: 06/21 – 08:00 PM PDT, 11:00 PM EDT, 04:00 AM BST, 12:00 PM JST – Gigi Murin: 06/21 – 08:45 PM PDT, 11:45 PM EDT, 04:45 AM BST, 12:45 PM JST – Cecilia Immergreen: 06/22 – 08:00 PM PDT, 11:00 PM EDT, 04:00 AM BST, 12:00 PM JST – Raora Panthera: 06/22 – 08:45 PM PDT, 11:45 PM EDT, 04:45 AM BST, 12:45 PM JST – After holoJustice’s members have debuted, a special collaboration stream will take place on Elizabeth Rose Bloodflame’s channel featuring all four talents. This is scheduled to start on June 22, 2024, at 9:30 PM PDT, directly after Raora Panthera’s debut ends. This will allow Hololive fans to get to know more about the agency’s newest members, and see how they interact with one another. Hololive Justice having good synergy with one another is extremely important, as their collab opportunities will be limited for a little while. Traditionally, new Hololive generations have a one-month collaboration ban, preventing them from streaming with other talents outside of their wave. This is done to encourage them to build up their brand without relying on those who came before them.

Hololive EN new outfits revealed: Star idols unveil new look for 2022 – Dexerto
Hololive EN new outfits revealed: Star idols unveil new look for 2022 HololiveThe first-generation Hololive EN new outfits were revealed on December 11, with Gawr Gura, Watson Amelia, Mori Calliope, Takanashi Kiara, and Ninomae Ina’nis unveiling their new looks ahead of 2022. Hololive’s VTuber stars go through regular outfit changes — around once every six months Cover Corp will update their star’s models with new clothing. While they stay true to their VTuber’s style, it can still widely vary, and the debut streams are always exciting. There’s arguably no bigger stars than the Hololive EN “Myth” talents, who have nearly 10 million YouTube subscribers between them. So, when they announced a new outfit reveal heading into 2022, it got fans excited. Mori Calliope debuted her new outfit first on December 9, with the four other Hololive EN stars following in her footsteps over the next few days. [🎉News🎉]#holoMyth will showcase new party outfits!🥳🙌 Relay streams from December 9th to 11th (PST)!🔽Press Release (EN)🔽https://t.co/M1Ue0J9iYe 🔽Press Release (JP)🔽https://t.co/40T9HXvNOe#ホロライブ #hololive #hololiveEN#ホロライブEnglish pic.twitter.com/tv5MC2VA6w — hololive production (English) (@hololive_En) December 6, 2021 Calli’s outfit was a big surprise to fans, with the Grim Reaper’s apprentice debuting an elegant red ball gown, held together with a black sash with a skull attached. Watson Amelia underwent a huge transformation too, with the detective going full formal with her new outfit. With a short black dress and a little tiara in her tied-up blonde hair, it’s arguably the biggest change among the five idols. Ninomae Ina’nis got a new hairstyle and a cute little black hat to boot. Her full-black dress has also been substituted with a frilly black-and-white design, partnered with an intricately-designed red and blue bow. Gawr Gura’s new outfit — the biggest reveal of the lot — gave the shark a new hairstyle with long twintails, decorated with golden ornaments. She is also wearing a white tunic that turns blue, with golden sandals giving a distinctive Atlantean feel. The last one, Takanashi Kiara, was a bit delayed after initial technical delays. However, after the reveal of her elegant outfit — featuring a flowing red-and-black dress, detailed black stockings, and a mask to boot — went off without a hitch, each of the first generation Hololive EN members now have their new garb for the next few months. All the idols’ new outfits are still 2D models for now. However, 3D models for Hololive EN are reportedly coming in the near future, with Cover Corp confirming they finished creating them in November. It’s likely the Hololive EN group will receive a new set of outfits mid-way through 2022 on a six-month cycle, following their previous releases.

Hololive EN’s Myth celebrate second anniversary with insane 360 camera stream – Dexerto
Hololive EN’s Myth celebrate second anniversary with insane 360 camera stream YouTube: Amelia WatsonHololive EN is now two as Generation 1, Myth, celebrated their second anniversary on September 13. Amelia Watson put together an insane 360-degree camera stream for fans as they played games, performed songs, and thanked viewers for their support. It’s hard to believe Hololive only broke into the English market two years ago. Since coming onto the scene Myth — featuring Gawr Gura, Mori Calliope, Ninomae Ina’nis, Takanashi Kiara, and Amelia Watson — has become the premier VTubing branch globally. In those two years, every single member has succeeded in their own ways. Whether it be Mori Calliope’s mega concerts, or Gura’s record-breaking growth, or even the Aniplus cafe collab more recently bringing the group to life in Korea with Kiara visiting; they’re all thriving. They’ve done so through a mix of personality and innovation with a ton of hard work, and all that was on show during the group’s second anniversary on September 13. The five Myth VTubers got together with their 3D low-poly outfits — a graphical upgrade on the smol models for their first anniversary — and hung out on stage for two hours with fans. Viewers could track the action thanks to a 360-degree camera set up by Watson. “It’s something I don’t think a lot of people have tried in terms of VTubing,” she said, “so I thought it would be good to experiment a little bit. It was a bit scary because maybe it would fail or it would look super sh*tty, but it seems like you guys enjoyed it.” The stream featured plenty of shenanigans, from a game of “Kiara says” where they all failed miserably, to a concert where each member performed some of their iconic songs. Ultimately though it was a celebration of the last two years as they shared memories. “It just flew by,” Kiara reflected. “In the beginning, I didn’t think I’d stream so much and I wouldn’t be here for two years. I was like ‘okay three streams per week, alright I think I can do that’ and now I’m doing a million streams a week. “It’s been so much fun that every day goes by in a blink of an eye, and then the next day, and then suddenly it was our one-year anniversary and now it’s our second.” Alongside the group anniversary, each of the Myth VTubers will celebrate their individual anniversaries on their own channels across the week. Hololive has also released limited-time merch fans can pick up for the occasion, and there’s plenty more big announcements to come — including a new group song, Non Fiction. Now the prep begins for next year’s anniversary which will once again one-up the last effort, and Calli already has some ideas: “It’s like we’re evolving like Pokemon. First year we were smols, then we were low-poly models, next year we’ll be full 3D — I hope.”

Hololive Council celebrate first anniversary with mega stream, new song Rise – Dexerto
Hololive Council celebrate first anniversary with mega stream, new song Rise HololiveHololive Council celebrated their first anniversary with a mega celebration stream reflecting on the year that was, along with debuting a new song Rise. The quartet did so without Tsukumo Sana, who graduated last month, but they will “always be five”. It’s been a great year for Hololive Council, even if it’s hard to believe the second generation Hololive EN wave debuted 12 months ago. The quintet — now quartet, after the graduation of Tsukumo Sana at the end of July — have truly made a name for themselves in the VTuber community, slotting right into the chaotic realm of Hololive with grace. After they pulled forward festivities with Sana just before her graduation, the remaining four celebrated the one-year anniversary properly on August 22. They did so with all the usual trimmings of an anniversary stream, reminiscing on everything from their debut to their first impressions while in a hot tub, playing some games in their BEEGsmol 3D models, and topping things off with a concert. They laughed over some of the greatest memories: “Do you guys remember that we didn’t even get to debut on our debut day,” Nanashi Mumei mused. “I remember being kind of relieved about it though — technical issues, thank you. “Do you remember the days before debut where we’d sit in VC [voice chat] every night and talk, chill, play games and stuff,” Hakos Baelz added. However, there was a definite undercut to the celebrations given the void left by Sana. All four were appreciative of all the work the Speaker of Space did for the Council — including designing the 1st-anniversary merch plushies. So there was no better way to cap off the celebrations than a heartfelt rendition of her solo song Astrogirl. “Council will always be five people,” Bae said. “Sana, if you’re watching, we love you — and congrats on one year. We didn’t tell her we were doing this!” Well, there was one better way: Hololive Council had one last collab put together with their first group song, Rise. It debuted during the anniversary stream with all five members singing along, with a couple of tears, about all the work they have put in in the last year. However with millions of fans by their side, the group is walking into their next year with plenty of hope and optimism: “Without you this wouldn’t be possible,” Ceres Fauna closed with.

Hololive Council stars want to give Tsukumo Sana great sendoff ahead of graduation – Dexerto
Hololive Council stars want to give Tsukumo Sana great sendoff ahead of graduation YouTube: HololiveNews of Tsukumo Sana’s graduation has devastated her fellow Hololive Council genmates. However, instead of dwelling on it, they want to give the Speaker of Space a great sendoff in her final few weeks with positive vibes only. Just weeks ahead of Hololive Council’s one-year anniversary, member Tsukumo Sana announced her surprise graduation. The Speaker of Space is set to wrap up her VTuber activities on July 31, announcing so in a tearful stream on July 11. The news, obviously, sent shockwaves throughout the VTuber community. However, they were felt the hardest by Sana’s genmates on Council. While there’s still three more weeks until the big day — and they also had some forewarning compared to the general public — the other four members want to give Sana the best sendoff possible with plenty of collabs and fun memories to be made. All of Sana’s genmates have publicly acknowledged her departure either on Twitter with an air of melancholy. Fellow Australian Council member Hakos Baelz said Sana was “one of a kind” and she “will always be supporting you and will always love you.” The sentiment was echoed by Nanashi Mumei and Ceres Fauna, who tweeted out love hearts in the colors of the Council members. While Ouro Kronii canceled her planned stream because she didn’t “want [her] mood to rub off on others”, Mumei pushed forward with her stream just two hours after Sana’s. “It’s a bit of a hard day for a lot of people,” Mumei opened up her broadcast with. “I love Sana. I just want the absolute best for her. I want her to be happy — I think all of us really want that. I also really want to have a fun time while she’s still here. “We have her for a few more weeks, and I want to make the absolute best of that time with her and I know that’s what she wants so when she eventually graduates we have even more amazing memories. We already have a lot, but even more. I would like to stay positive and make the best of everything and be happy with her.” Other Hololive stars and VTubers have also acknowledged Sana’s efforts and want to make sure she is remembered fondly. “What a bright and beautiful star Sana is, has been and always will be no matter where she goes,” Mori Calliope said on Twitter. “We love you forever no matter what!” “Such a huge space will be left, let’s fill it up with love for Sana and everyone while we can,” Watson Amelia added. And while Sana did state in her graduation announcement she would be leaving behind her friends in Hololive, Takanashi Kiara and others are not going to forget her: “Sana said she’s giving up her friends in Holo but we will always be friends even after!” Tsukumo Sana’s graduation stream is penned in for July 31, with plenty of collabs planned in the three-week interim before she leaves the agency. Whether this includes an early anniversary stream remains to be seen, but it has been teased.

Hololive announces first-ever Australian concert to headline DreamHack Melbourne – Dexerto
Hololive announces first-ever Australian concert to headline DreamHack Melbourne HololiveHololive has announced its first-ever Australian concert as the VTuber brand is slated to headline DreamHack Melbourne 2024. When DreamHack and the Victorian government inked a multi-year deal, ESL FACEIT teased to us that their big headliner would involve VTubers, however, they left it at that. VTuber concerts are one of the rare times fans get to see their favorite personalities on the big stage, with their favorite talents performing original songs. However, it’s quite rare to have the ability to witness one of these concerts in person, especially down under. But in a blockbuster move, Australians will now have a chance to see a Hololive production with their own eyes, as the VTuber group has announced it will be headlining the upcoming DreamHack Melbourne with a concert. Titled as the “Hololive production x DreamHack Melbourne 2024: Down Under”, the group will be headlining the festival with a concert. The concert will feature a who’s who of talents from the English, Indonesian, and Japanese groups. The following talents will be performing live: Houshou Marine (JP) – Tokoyami Towa (JP) – Kureiji Ollie (ID) – Pavolia Reine (ID) – Mori Calliope (EN) – Hakos Baelz (EN) – The concert is set to take place on April 27 at the Rod Laver Arena. According to DreamHack, all attendees with Saturday or 3-day tickets will have access to a general admissions area. However, if you’re a diehard fan of your Oshi, there are ticket upgrades you can purchase from the DreamHack website. A Standard Upgrade for guaranteed tiered seating, or a Premium Upgrade for guaranteed floor seating and a chance to go on a meet and greet. So if you haven’t practiced your Wotagei for your favorite VTuber, perhaps now is the time.

Hololive Council celebrate first anniversary early before Tsukumo Sana graduation – Dexerto
Hololive Council celebrate first anniversary early before Tsukumo Sana graduation YouTube: Nanashi MumeiWith Hololive Council member Tsukumo Sana graduating just before the VTuber group’s first anniversary, the quintet (plus IRyS) brought forward their first anniversary stream with the now-iconic chibi “BEEGsmol” models to celebrate with the outgoing star. Tsukumo Sana might be graduating from Hololive just weeks ahead of Council’s one year anniversary, but that doesn’t mean they can’t have an early celebration to send off their friend. The quintet of Hololive Council, plus honorary member IRyS from Project HOPE, debuted their “BEEGsmol” models early — ahead of their proper anniversary in August — so their outgoing guardian of the universe could join in on the fun. The six of them ran around in the chibified world holding a mock Council meeting, solving a murder mystery, playing some basketball, and checking out some statues — including a golden Yagoo face. The models were all designed by Sana herself as a gift to her genmates before her exit. “I’m very happy that we could have not just a member design them, but Sana so that forever when we enter this place and we look at each other, we see Sana always,” Mumei stated. The one-hour stream rounded out with the six of them on stage singing Secret Base, the ending of Anohana. There were plenty of tears as Council gave Sana one last send-off before her July 31 graduation. The star will not be streaming until that broadcast. “I love you all, thank you so much guys,” Sana said through tears. “Every single one of you are so special. The way you make everyone so happy and you bring so much fun to everyone, you’re so special. Please keep doing what you’re doing.” “I’m glad it was you who was Sana. We know you’re going to do great things,” Ouro Kronii replied. The group took one last photo on stage in their models, before Mumei echoed the sentiments of earlier of what Sana meant to Council. “Thank you for everything. Even beyond smols, you’ve done a lot for us. I’m glad for the time we had together and we’ll still talk. “Even if Sana has graduated, she will still be with us. Her room, everything here, it’s all going to stay. Everything will always be here. Every time we look at each other we see Sana because Sana designed us.”

What is Holocure? The Hololive fan game taking VTubers by storm – Dexerto
What is Holocure? The Hololive fan game taking VTubers by storm Twitter: Kay Yu / HolocureIf you’ve watched a Hololive stream in the last two weeks, there’s a very real chance you tuned into see some Holocure gameplay. The shoot-em-up fan game inspired by the VTuber agency has taken the internet by storm — and it’s not just a flash in the pan. Trends come and go in the streaming landscape, and VTubers aren’t immune to that. Some games just scratch the itch of the community, and then all of a sudden the entire sector is swept away — absorbed into one hive minded experience even for just a fleeting moment. Fan-made game Holocure is like that. The indie shoot-em-up game has made waves in not just the Hololive fandom (as the name would suggest) but beyond. What started as a one-man fan project at the start of 2022 has since become the most popular game for Hololive stars to play, and other VTubers have also been jumping in on the action. Developer Kay Yu was only expecting a handful of people to take notice of his little side project. A full-time animator, Holocure was a fun little project away from the storyboarding and detailed nature of anime and bigger games — a throwback to their university days dabbling in Gamemaker. All expectations were blown away very quickly after the game’s June 25 launch. “We anticipated maybe a few thousand people to play, which seemed reasonable, but it turns out there are almost 50,000 downloads in less than 24 hours… it’s pretty insane, but I’m super thankful for you all playing,” they said on Twitter. The first build of my Hololive fan game, HOLOCURE, is now RELEASED! It is free to play, so please enjoy it to your hearts content. (For now, it is Windows PC only) You can find the download over at itchio (LINK IN REPLY). Check out the page for more info!#holocure pic.twitter.com/AAMH0cVmtM — Kay Yu (@kaynimatic) June 24, 2022 The game has a similar feel to Magic Survival and Vampire Survivor — the latter was very popular in Hololive circles just a few months ago. Yu cited the latter as a big inspiration for the project, although with more of a “focus on specific character traits and effects, and less focus on just the weapons and evolutions.” How Holocure captivated Hololive In Holocure you are trying to “save the fans”. Yes, really. After VTubers took over the world (virtually and literally), an evil force brainwashed them with blinding love for their idols. And you have to fight back against them. That means you’re playing as one of the idols yourself, trying to clear hordes of enemies from the battlefield. You level up by slaying these ‘monsters’, powering up your character (currently one of the Hololive English girls, but this will be expanded soon Yu promises). Being able to step into the shoes of your favorite talent — with special powers and items based off their personality and lore — is a thrill. Let’s also just say the number of in-jokes and references in the game is immense. A-Chan welcomes you into the game in the shop screen, sitting at a desk like one of her usual streams. The BGM is inspired by Hololive original songs Suspect and Shiny Smily Story, just in an 8-bit form to fit the graphics. Some of the powerups, from BL Book to the Cutting Board to smaller things like Piki Piki Piman (a reference to Korone’s chat spamming bell peppers). There’s an adage to the beloved Asacoco duo in two items. You can even ‘collab’ powerups together. Plus one of the main enemies? Shrimps. It’s like stepping into a fever dream of Hololive, and that’s why it’s got the internet going crazy. You can be the judge about how well the “save the fans” tagline plays into idol culture, and the relationship between VTuber and audience. At the time of writing, Holocure has been the focus of more than 50 individual streams by Hololive members. Even those outside of Hololive have been addicted to the game — VShojo star Ironmouse said as much on Twitter. “It’s a free game with such high quality,” Matsuri said on stream. “There’s a part of you that’s like: ‘I want to give them my money!’” Polka added, talking about paying the developers for the fan-made game (they’ve denied taking any money for the project). It’s also got a bright future ahead of it that suggests it could be here to stay — maybe not as a permanent mainstay but as a popular choice for the idols to play on stream. After all, it’s basically self-promotion right? There’s a genuine interest from Yu and the small team behind Holocure to expand out the content, eventually making all the Hololive idols playable in game. Buffs and nerfs are planned for balancing the game out — although some of the idols play into this by cheekily demanding buffs of their own characters (like Kiara). The replayability with leaderboards (soon to be reimplemented) and more fleshed out systems and levels are on their way. If you want a dose of Hololive without just watching through archived streams, there’s no better antidote than Holocure. After all, the fans do need salvation at times.

Hogwarts Legacy breaks Twitch record amid streamer boycott – Dexerto
Hogwarts Legacy breaks Twitch record amid streamer boycott Twitch / WB GamesHogwarts Legacy has already smashed a Twitch record with the most live viewers for a single-player game ever on the platform, despite a streamer boycott. Many players have chosen to boycott the game due to its association with Harry Potter author J.K Rowling, who has been accused of transphobic comments – which she denies. A website has since surfaced, tracking which Twitch streamers have decided to go live playing the video game, so users can unfollow them for doing so. In the midst of the boycott, however, Hogwarts Legacy is crushing it on the live-streaming platform, edging out Cyberpunk 2077 for the title of ‘most watched’ single-player game. Hogwarts Legacy hits over 1 million viewers on Twitch On February 7, the release day for early access, Hogwarts Legacy was being viewed by over 1.2 million people based on live statistics from the directory. As seen below, that tally is over double Just Chatting – typically one of the site’s biggest – and 12 times more than Fortnite. At the time this screenshot was captured, xQc was the top Hogwarts Legacy streamer online with over 108,000 live viewers. The Canadian had hit out at boycotters earlier in the day for berating another streamer, Girlfriend Reviews, which led to them crying on stream. In terms of other top channels, IIIoJuan had over 80,000 watching along, LIRIK was streaming with almost 40,000, and NICKMERCS came in fourth with 37,000. It’s no secret that Hollywood is home to some of the richest people in the country. Alongside the various celebrities, and other high-dollar business owners are swanky supermarkets and expensive restaurants. Hollywood Chef Brooke Baevsky, who goes by the name ItsChefBae on TikTok, shares what it’s like to be a private Chef for some of Hollywood’s top millionaires. Brooke recently revealed how much she spent to restock one of her customer’s pantries, and viewers were left shocked at the total. TikToker shocks viewers with $3,500 grocery bill At the beginning of November, Chef Bae uploaded a video showing someone taking pictures of her half-full grocery cart with the caption: “What was in my $3,515.09 Erewhon Cart for a client?” The private chef listed off a variety of items, including things like organic juices, dragon fruit, purple artichokes, and vegan paleo donuts. Viewers quickly replied to the viral video with their thoughts, with many shocked at the high price tag. “The rich live in a completely different universe than us,” one user replied. Another user replied: “Nothing there even sounds like a particularly expensive item. I was expecting to see a few fabulous cuts of steak and a fancy fish or something.” “I feel like even if you’re wealthy this is such a waste of money lol – could be shopping Whole Foods or Bristol Farms for cheaper & invest the savings,” a third user commented.

Hockey fan obliterated in viral two-on-one arena brawl after challenging man to fight – Dexerto
Hockey fan obliterated in viral two-on-one arena brawl after challenging man to fight Twitter/JeremyChuggsA Dallas Stars fan got absolutely annihilated in a brawl after challenging a much bigger man to a fight in the stands. Fights are a common sight at hockey games, given how players are allowed to drop the gloves and throw haymakers, but you don’t often see fans getting in on the action too. In a now-viral incident, a Dallas Stars fan with a mullet got into a heated war of words with another man – and when the trash talk went too far, he paid the price with a lesson in humility. The fight, which took place earlier in February, has gone ultra viral, amassing over five million views. But despite the fan getting beat down, the internet isn’t having any sympathy for him. Hockey fan gets destroyed in Dallas Stars arena melee In footage uploaded by Twitter user ‘JeremyChuggs,’ the fan with the mullet can be seen screaming at another gentleman and challenging him to throw down. “How about you step down here and I’ll box your a**,” the man said while getting up in his rival’s face. Within a moment, the other man fired off a single punch that rocked the Dallas Stars fan hard, sending him back, but not out. Seconds later, he began to grapple with his foe while a woman joined in. Despite the brawl turning into a two-on-one, the larger man was able to hold his own and restrain the two Stars fans, similar to a recent brawl with a “real-life Undertaker” at a gas station. The mullet man was clearly taken aback, yelling about how he was hit first. The internet was absolutely loving it. “Not only did he get rocked, but as he’s getting pinned down, he’s being called ‘little boy’ while his mullet gets stroked,” one viewer commented. Not only did he get rocked, but as he’s getting pinned down, he’s being called “little boy” while his mullet gets stroked — Chase Senior (@Chase_Senior) February 9, 2023 “Like he almost got his mullet knocked clear off!” another remarked. With so much viral humiliation, we can imagine that this fan may have considered a new hair style to avoid being recognized in the future.

Hogman Challenges CouRage to Fortnite 1v1 after perceived slight – Dexerto
Hogman Challenges CouRage to Fortnite 1v1 after perceived slight Fireworks erupted from normally friendly Fortnite players, resulting in a Twitter back and forth that ended with a 1v1 challenge. Fortnite pro coL Hogman took issue with a clip from OpTic streamer CouRage that discussed the results of the most recent Fortnite Fall Skirmish. CouRage’s partner TypicalGamer was concerned about the talents of the compLexity squad that was behind them in the competition, CouRage responded with “we’re better.” Hogman found the clip and took offense to it, tweeting it out with a 1v1 challenge to CouRage. Oh I was totally gassing up my teammate to keep him confident. But I also 100% believe if I scrimmed everyday and dedicated my all to just competing I’d be clapping them cheeks each time you saw me on the map — OpTic CouRage (@CouRageJD) September 22, 2018 “Hey @CouRageJD, someone sent me this clip of you saying you’re better than the coL players in yesterday’s tourney. I bet you $1,000 you can’t beat me in a best of 5 in playground 1 vs. 1’s,” tweeted Hogman. CouRage responded, saying he was only “gassing up [TypicalGamer] to keep him confident.” However, the second half of his tweet kept the argument going, claiming “But I also 100% believe if I scrimmed everyday… I’d be clapping them cheeks each time you saw me on the map” Finally, CouRage sent another tweet that was half calming the situation down and half escalating the situation. Starting by saying their conversation was not serious, then reminding coL pro that he outplaced them in the Fall Skirmish. It ain’t that serious chief. I’m going to keep streaming. You keep improving. At the end of the day we still outplaced you yesterday — OpTic CouRage (@CouRageJD) September 23, 2018 Hogman received criticism for starting the dialogue between the two, but revealed he was only trying to get a storyline going and potentially a “fun event.” It ain’t that serious chief. I’m going to keep streaming. You keep improving. At the end of the day we still outplaced you yesterday — OpTic CouRage (@CouRageJD) September 23, 2018

Hoax claims TikTok star Corn Kid was found dead in gang shooting – Dexerto
Hoax claims TikTok star Corn Kid was found dead in gang shooting YouTubeA disturbing new internet hoax is claiming that TikTok’s beloved Corn Kid was found dead in a gang-related shooting, but the young corn-lover is alive and well. 7-year-old Tariq went viral on TikTok for professing his love of all things corn, earning him the moniker of ‘Corn Kid.’ However, with such fame unfortunately comes danger. The internet can be a scary place and it’s not uncommon to see trolls create fake news articles to enrage the masses or just trick trustworthy individuals. In late September, a screenshot seeming taken from an NPR article claimed that the Corn Kid was found dead, leading many to voice concern for the youngster. Luckily, the article was fake, but that didn’t stop it from spreading with many believing the hoax was in fact genuine. Corn Kid death hoax spreads The fake article dated September 26 and “written” by Dustin Jones claimed that Corn Kid has been found dead “last Sunday” in a gang-related shooting. A quick search of NPR reveals that the site does in fact have a writer by the name of Dustin Jones, but he never wrote any such article, nor has he ever even posted anything Corn Kid-related. According to Distractify, the fake screenshot seems to have originated on Facebook, but spread to other websites such as Twitter. In actuality, Corn Kid is doing just fine and was even named South Dakota’s official ‘Corn-bassador’ by the state’s governor. Tarik’s popularity even resulted in the creation of a song called ‘It’s Corn’ that has been viewed over 70 million times since being uploaded in August. The Corn Kid is hardly the first celebrity to fall victim to a death hoax. Over the years, Jeff Goldblum, Whoopi Goldberg and more have had hoaxes claim that they passed away.

Hobby store owners blame influencers for break-ins targeting Pokemon cards – Dexerto
Hobby store owners blame influencers for break-ins targeting Pokemon cards Several store owners in Edmonton, Alberta, are attributing the rise in break-ins and card theft to online influencers popularizing Pokemon cards over the last few years. The Pokemon Card Trading Game has been around since the late 90s, and several expansions following the original base set are released year after year. In recent history, TCG fans have seen three or more set expansions released over the course of 12 months. And with each new set, there’s a series of chase cards that value from $50 to $100 to $500+. However, these values pale compared to some of the oldest cards on the market. Namely, 1st Edition Shadowless Base Set Charizard, which regularly sells for hundreds of thousands of dollars, and Illustrator Pikachu, which was sold for millions of dollars. These prices were up on full display when the Pokemon TCG demanded the attention of the internet around 2020-2021. Influencers such as Logan Paul and Mizkif aided in popularizing shiny cardboard rectangles by integrating pack openings into their content. Now, hobby store owners are attributing the attacks on their businesses to the wave of Pokemania wrought by influencers glamorizing the card opening experience. Edmonton store owners targeted by Pokemon card thieves Initially reported by CBC News, several store owners in Edmonton, Canada, have been the target of break-ins and robberies. Their mark: Pokemon cards. And while Pokemon cards may seem like bits of paper with metallic holofoil, these crimes have resulted in the loss of tens of thousands of dollars. Star Lotus Games owner Brandan Capel stated, “The last year-and-a-half has definitely been worse than probably anytime in the last decade.” He reported two instances of stolen cards in February 2022. “There were some online personalities through streaming and other stuff that really hyped up old Pokemon products,” Capel stated, suspecting the rise in crime resulted from influencers breaking into the card game scene. And he isn’t alone in this line of thought. Fellow hobby store owner Brian Tews – Taps Games – stated that Pokemon cards are the primary target of thieves and noted that the rise in crime reflected the popularity of online TCG openings. “When they see the YouTube stories, the news stories, Magic card sells for $180,000, Pokemon card sells for $150,000 — they don’t understand the scarcity on those cards that are selling for that price.” This has resulted in some hobby stores refusing to carry Pokemon cards, including Edmonton’s own Hobz Hobby & Games, run by Jason Wynn. And this fear of theft and destruction of property has spread into big box retailers, with Walmarts around the United States removing playing card sections from their stores. The mad dash for new sets has calmed down, with stores like Target or GameStop having little problems maintaining inventory. Yet, locally-owned hobby stores still feel the effects of 2020-2021’s wave of influencer Pokemon card openings.

Hilarious TikTok showing why you should never say no to grandma goes viral – Dexerto
Hilarious TikTok showing why you should never say no to grandma goes viral L: TikTok R: stewiez71 – TikTokA viral TikTok perfectly summarizes why you should always be respecting your elders, especially your grandmother. When most people think of a grandma, things like sweet and wholesome come to mind, but that’s not all they are limited to. TikTok user stewiez71 filmed an encounter with his grandmother where he tried to turn down some gas money, explaining to her that he didn’t need any of her cash. Surprisingly, she wasn’t having any of this, and went on to force it on him. “Shut up,” she began. “I don’t give a s**t what you want. That is a little bit of gas money for hauling me around.” Stewie kept trying to turn down his grandma’s cash, but she stayed persistent and kept up her aggression. “I don’t give a s**t what you don’t want,” she said to the TikTok user who tried to explain he was already rich and didn’t need it. “Well, I am too. Now you just shut up. You just shut up. The hilarious TikTok quickly went viral, amassing more than 656,000 likes on the app and climbing. Building off the performance of the first video, he actually posted two follow-ups featuring his grandma. In the sequel, we can see his grandma at the hair salon getting her haircut. After she finishes, the two get into the car where she then looks into the camera, exclaiming “Damn, I look good.” As a matter of fact, all of the videos about Stewie’s grandmother perform much better than his previous ones without her, which would usually top out around 5,000 views. It looks like the key to his success will be reliant on how often she wants to appear on camera. For now, it looks like she’s a celebrity in the making. Maybe we’ll even see her with her own account soon.

Hinge date’s “outrageous” message leaves TikTok in disbelief TikTok: chloeemlindsay / HingeA woman on TikTok has shared the bizarre message a past Hinge date sent her in which he claimed he needed to date someone with “less self-respect.” Online dating has changed the game, opening singles up to a bigger dating pool than ever before. With that new territory has come a slew of bizarre and bewildering dating stories previously unheard of, and what better place to share them than on the internet? Now, one woman has taken TikTok by storm after posting a screenshot of the message a past Hinge date sent her in which he boldly admitted to looking for someone with “less self-respect.” Chloee Marie, who goes by ‘chloeemlindsay’ on TikTok, jokingly posted the screenshot in response to a Tweet reading, “I love getting sweet messages, I just keep rereading them.” In the messages, her former Hinge date wrote, “Quite honestly I think I need someone with a little less self-respect.” He attempted to justify his statement, explaining that he couldn’t “live up to” where Chloee was in life. “A girl with less confidence [and] standards doesn’t know she isn’t being treated ‘right’ or not [because] she will just have whatever affection she can get,” the man said. “Meaning I can give less effort… and obviously [you’re] not like that.” Nonetheless, he offered to continue engaging in a sexual relationship with Chloee. Viewers were stunned by the man’s message, rushing to Chloee’s comments to share their thoughts. “So they DO know!?!?!? THE WHOLE TIME!?!?” one person wrote. Another said, “That text belonged in a THERAPY SESSION.” In response to someone asking her to “expose” her former date, Chloe said, “When it happened I friended his mom on [Facebook] and sent her a screenshot.” Be sure to check out all the latest entertainment news on our page here.

Hilarious summit1g stream sniper finds brilliant method of dodging bullets in PUBG – Dexerto
Hilarious summit1g stream sniper finds brilliant method of dodging bullets in PUBG ShortyAwards / PUBGPopular Twitch streamer Jaryd ‘PUBG. High profile streamers who choose to broadcast live for their audience are always prime targets for people trying to catch them out in-game, with the chance of appearing on their broadcast. While some of these interferences can ruin the experience of the broadcaster, CS:GO player kicked into gear and started to swim away from the enemy. With the circle cutting deep into his HP bar, he said: “We’re fucking dead. What the fuck is this guy thinking?” before reaching land first. After aiming back into the water for a few moments, he couldn’t see a thing. Then, the stream sniper emerged from the water and sat in open sight, just on top of a rock. Summit couldn’t help but laugh after seemingly having a clear shot on his opponent, shooting his M24 in their direction a few times, but seeing that they had started to shift from left to right with a hilarious neck swinging motion. Is this the perfect bullet dodging tactic in PUBG? Well, let’s not get too carried away. It wasn’t long before summit1g caught the hilarious player with a shot, but it’s fair to say that they didn’t go down without a few decent dodges. It took the streamer four shots to take them down, with only the final one landing. While this tactic of dodging bullets might have been effective more than once, it was pretty clear that the other player was there for the laughs, rather than there for the kills. If they were actually trying to win the game, there’s a chance that they could have caught summit1g out – all things considered. Instead, it turned out that it was just another one of them pesky stream snipers.

Hilarious remake of Alabama riverboat brawl goes viral as they absolutely nail it – Dexerto
Hilarious remake of Alabama riverboat brawl goes viral as they absolutely nail it Twitter: naimaThe viral Alabama boat brawl has spread like wildfire across the internet, and a group of friends remaking the whole thing in a well-made sketch is giving rise to more memes. In the original video, a group of men had a disagreement about their boats which led to the brawl, with lots of onlookers recording the action. More and more people joined in as the brawl continued, as one man fell to the ground and another swam from a boat side to join the fight. The fight has given rise to plenty of memes and hilarious reactions, but the most effort by far has been this viral reenactment video. Reenactment of Alabama boat brawl The imitation was done by a group of friends, using a swimming pool as the substitute for open waters. A black man representing the guard was charged by a white man, kicking off the fight, and he threw his hat just like in the original video. Re-creating the scene of the Alabama quarrel, countless others came in from the wings to provide an uncanny remake of the whole incident. They even managed to nail the WWE-style chair attack, as the man wielding it joins the fight – although doesn’t actually do any harm, thankfully. The reenactment video went viral on Twitter with 12.5 million views and hilarious memes made about the entire situation. A user commented with an image from Euphoria which says, “Is this f***ing play about us?” And another commented with a gif writing, “It’s the unity in the reenactment, for me.” As for the real-life version, the debacle has resulted in three men being charged for their involvement in the now-infamous riverboat brawl.

Hilarious memes showcase creative uses for man’s inaccessible foyer landing – Dexerto
Hilarious memes showcase creative uses for man’s inaccessible foyer landing X: skylarromines / X: heroicggA man stumped on what to make of the inaccessible foyer landing in his house has been met with hilarious memes as creative internet users offer their ideas. A common feature found in American suburban design is the inclusion of an inaccessible foyer landing above the front door, often nicknamed a “Lawyer Foyer” due to its resemblance to a law firm’s inner entrance. However, what exactly to do with the extra space is a question that has left some stumped — including real estate maximalist Alan Corey. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Corey asked internet users for “any creative solutions” on how to stage the space. And, in true internet fashion, users delivered their most hilarious suggestions. “One of my least-liked design elements of suburban design is this inaccessible landing I see in foyers,” Corey wrote, before asking the internet for advice on “staging”. The esports team, Heroic, transformed the space with some “clean” editing so that the landing peered out into the world of Counter-Strike 2. Another user even edited the landing to showcase the demolition process needed to create Heroic’s design. Another X user, Skylar Romines had a very different approach on how to make use of the foyer landing. Taking note of current trends, Romines recommended Corey fill the space with Target’s popular Stanley Cups. According to Romines, her simple design solution would add “+$200k value” to the house, as fans of the popular cup have proven their willingness to spend large bucks in order to obtain one. In response to Romines’ idea, Corey pointed out the security risks of housing the popular cup; “Need iron bars over those windows!” With so many creative responses flooding in, Corey has been retweeting some of his favorite designs — though it remains to be seen whether he will actually implement any.

Hilarious Moment Summit1G Roasts Radical Heights Live on the Official Tournament Stream – Dexerto
Hilarious Moment Summit1G Roasts Radical Heights Live on the Official Tournament Stream We’re not sure that the Radical Heights developers will invite popular streamer Jaryd ‘Summit1G’ Lazar to play in their next tournament after an awkward outburst. The year is 2018 and that means when a developer wants people to play their games, instead of the usual advertisement, they turn to influencers for promotion. Alongside just paying popular streamers and content creators to play their game, they also organize tournaments so there’s something a little more on the line than public matches. Radical Heights is an independently developed free to play battle royale title by Boss Games, which includes former Gears of War mastermind, Cliff ‘CliffyB’ Bleszinski, on the team. The eighties themed game has received mixed reviews due to its early infancy, but the concept of the multiplayer follows a similar theme to the likes of H1Z1, PUBG and Fortnite. Players jump out of a plane, loot and then proceed to kill everyone left as the map shrinks over time. It’s all fairly simple stuff. As part of a Radical Heights tournament featuring a number of high profile streamers, commentators flicked between the broadcasts of the personalities playing. Unfortunately for Radical Heights, and some degree Summit1G, when they flicked to his screen to watch him die, he was less than complimentary about the title and moaned he had to play it for three more hours. Thankfully the casters appeared to laugh it off, but we’re not sure we’ll see Summit back for the next competition.

Hilarious chaos ensures after Forsen tries to have a strategy talk with his team of viewers in Atlas – Dexerto
Hilarious chaos ensures after Forsen tries to have a strategy talk with his team of viewers in Atlas Thing did not go as planned when Twitch streamer Sebastian ‘Forsen’ Hans Eli Fors tried to have a team strategy talk with his viewers during a game of Atlas. The new massive multiplayer online survival game offers players the chance to assemble teams and complete quests and tasks with large groups of people, which Forsen tried to with his viewers while live-streaming. “Gather around in a circle, going to have a little strategy talk here,” he began saying. However, not long after he said that, one of the players used the in-game speech feature to blast a Ugandan audio clip that started with “Action is coming! Action is coming!” Things began to fall apart shortly after that as chaos erupted among all of the players in the vicinity. Almost immediately, the players beat down and eliminated a dwarf character that was closest to Forsen and then proceeded to attack each other. Forsen could not do much more than just sit there and watch his team implode into vicious mayhem, knowing there was nothing he could do to stop it. Admittedly, from a side perspective, the entire sequence is rather hilarious, especially since it started with a literal warning with the “Action is coming!” announcement. It’s equally funny watching Forsen just stare at his teammates attacking each other, eventually succumbing to the humor of the situation and begin laughing himself. As for the chat, as expected, the viewers began spamming emotes and messages laughing at Forsen and his team, with one sarcastically remarking “Nice army you got there!” Forsen has been seen playing a lot of Atlas since the game’s full release on December 22. While he seems to be enjoying the new MMO, it has gotten relatively mixed reviews from a lot of players, especially after a hidden menu was discovered that was taken straight from the Ark: Survival Evolved game. However, while the game certainly does have its flaws, it still allows 40,000+ players to simultaneously load into the same world, which opens the door for crazy adventures and hilarious moments like the one above.

PewDiePie is the biggest YouTuber in the world, amassing over 103 million subscribers to his channel. The Swedish personality had a massive year in 2019, launching his successful Minecraft series, getting married, and buying a house in Japan. So when he announced he was taking a break after 10 years of daily video uploads, it was understandable. Now a video on social media shows the star having a blast on his time off, proving he made the right decision. Video shows PewDiePie enjoying his break Since taking his hiatus on January 15, Pewds hasn’t been seen much as he deleted his Twitter at the end of 2019, and doesn’t post often on his social media accounts. However, a video posted by Australian YouTuber Joey ‘The Anime Man’ Bizinger showed the Swede belting out a tune at a Karaoke bar with a group of friends, including musician Dave ‘Boyinaband.’ His music of choice? Of course, the The Numa Numa Song by O-Zone which was popularized by the classic 2005 meme. Tweeting the clip, Bizinger said, “I went I went to karaoke with Pewds and he sang Numa Numa a.k.a the best song in Internet history”. I just feel like I need to do this.” While he enjoy his rest, his fans are missing his absence greatly. Over on his subreddit, which was featured in his Last Week I Asked You segments, things have descended into meme chaos while they await the return of their king. This isn’t the first time the Swedish star has performed the The Numa Numa song. After reaching his 100 million subscriber milestone, he streamed Minecraft for over 12 hours, and 10 hours into the stream, he and Jacksepticye hilarious sang the tune. (Timestamp 10:34:14 for mobile users.) Only time will tell when the YouTube king will return to his platform. However if anyone deserves a break, it’s PewDiePie. His years of constant work is what helped propel him to the top of the industry. Fans shouldn’t worry about him staying on break forever. During an interview with his editor Sive Morten on January 17, he said the Swede was “addicted” to making content and couldn’t see him ever quitting.

Hikaru stunned by “garbage” chess cheating allegations after blitz rating record – Dexerto
Hikaru stunned by “garbage” chess cheating allegations after blitz rating record YT: GMHikaruKick streamer and Chess grandmaster Hikaru Nakamura has found himself at the center of a new controversy following his record-breaking performance on Chess.com. Vladimir Kramnik, another chess grandmaster, has taken to his Chess.com profile to seemingly accuse Hikaru of cheating in a cryptic message. Kramnik references an individual’s extraordinary performance in three-minute blitz games and shares statistics that he believes many would find “interesting.” The post clearly points toward Hikaru’s performances of late and raises cheating concerns and allegations. Hikaru, who recently set a new all-time Chess.com Blitz rating record, has now responded to the accusations after yet another grandmaster, Ian Nepomniachtchi, tweeted a screenshot of Kramnik’s message, adding fuel to the fire. Hikaru immediately questioned the intent behind Kramnik’s profile update and Nepomniachtchi’s tweet, labeling them as “garbage.” “Vladimir appears to be referencing my record…is he really accusing me of cheating?” Hikaru tweeted. “[Ian Nepomniachtchi] are you jumping on this accusation as well by tweeting this garbage??” Hikaru is regarded as one of the top chess players in the world and is best known for his rapid and blitz chess skills. The accusation comes just days after Hikaru shattered the Chess.com blitz rating record, achieving a new high of 3336, surpassing his previous record. Hikaru’s chess knowledge and ability are so incredible that even popular streamer Tyler1, who has turned to Chess.com in recent months, hilariously reacted to his puzzle-solving skills in a viral video. This isn’t the first time Kramnik has publicly accused a player of cheating, having previously announced that he’ll boycott Chess.com after stating the site harbors “obvious cheaters” following a defeat to Hans Niemann. Much like this time, Kramnik used his Chess.com profile to seemingly accuse Niemann of cheating non-directly before stating, “I promise I will continue trying my best to save chess from this disease.” Stay tuned to Dexerto for more chess and entertainment news.

Hikaru explains why he’s not upset about losing Chess Streamer of the Year at Streamer Awards – Dexerto
Hikaru explains why he’s not upset about losing Chess Streamer of the Year at Streamer Awards Twitch: GMHikaru/Streamer AwardsChess’ biggest Twitch streamer Hikaru Nakamura, or GMHikaru, has responded to not winning Chess Streamer of the Year at the Streamer Awards, claiming that he doesn’t care and that he’s “won enough” in his career. Chess has always had a decently-sized presence on Twitch, especially when it blew up off the back of the success of Netflix’s The Queen’s Gambit, and spearheading that category was GMHikaru. Even now, he still averages around 10,000 viewers per stream, far ahead of his closest competition, dominating the Chess category. Despite that, Hikaru didn’t win at the Streamer Awards, with the Chess Streamer of the Year accolade instead being handed to Levy ‘GothamChess’ Rozman. Speaking on the snub, Hikaru directly addressed not winning the award, saying that it doesn’t bother him. “Let’s just be honest, I’ve won so many things, so many awards, you think that really I’m going to be super angry about winning this?” Hikaru explained. “If you were to ask me, am I supposed to care about this when I’ve won things like the US Championship? Of course I don’t care.” Hikaru also added that “You look at Levy, you look at Botez, or people of that sort, they’re never going to win anything when it comes to chess. That’s just a reality. So why should I be upset that they win these awards?” Of course, as mentioned, Hikaru doesn’t necessarily need an award to prove his prowess either on the chess board or on Twitch, having won multiple tournaments in his career, played against the very best, and dominated chess streaming for years. If there were to be a tournament among the top chess streamers, you’d be hard-pushed to find someone to beat Hikaru — and ultimately, that’s what his goal is anyway. He just so happens to do it very well while live on Twitch. Another possible “snub” conversation has also been made around xQc, but Hasan argued xQc’s continuing dominance means he’s less likely to win awards each year. Perhaps the same is true of Hikaru.

Hikaru slams Vladimir Kramnik for deleting comments attacking chess cheating allegations – Dexerto
Hikaru slams Vladimir Kramnik for deleting comments attacking chess cheating allegations Chess.comChess Grandmaster and Kick streamer Hikaru Nakamura has taken a stand against Vladimir Kramnik’s “disrespectful” cheating allegations. On November 20, fellow chess Grandmaster Vladimir Kramnik accused Hikaru of cheating in a wildly cryptic Chess.com profile update. The accusation came not long after Hikaru smashed Chess.com’s blitz rating record. Stunned by the “garbage” allegations, Hikaru quickly denied them, but it didn’t stop other chess pros from chiming in with their thoughts. Magnus Carlsen joined in on the controversy by roasting Hikaru over a recent blunder. But Kramnik has since continued with the cryptic updates, using Chess.com’s blog feature to add fuel to the fire with multiple “interesting” statistical updates. In an update on November 26, Kramnik pointed out Hikaru’s best-ever win streak of 79 blitz games, which is considerably higher than the likes of Carlsen with 32 and Alireza Firouzja with 17. Kramnik asks, “Crazy to suspect or the opposite?” again hinting at the idea of Hikaru cheating. Still, Kramnik highlights at the start of the blog that Hikaru “enjoys beating weaker players like 20-0 which both Alireza and Magnus find meaningless I suspect,” which could be argued as the reason why Hikaru’s streaks are far longer than the others. Kramnik’s blog posts have since been flooded with comments from chess players and fans from around the world, all commenting with their thoughts on the accusations. One insightful comment from a mathematician at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poland, among others, has since been deleted by Kramnik after he accused Hikaru of “sending bots” to defend him in the comments section. Hikaru, clearly frustrated by the “very disrespectful” way Kramnik has approached these cheating allegations, has now taken a stand in a recent YouTube video. “Someone doesn’t get to say these things without actual proof. They don’t get to falsely accuse people over and over again without having to pay a price,” Hikaru stated. “It’s very disrespectful and to me, it shows that Kramnik simply has no respect for anybody at the end of the day. You don’t get to make false accusations when you are not an expert. You don’t get to make false accusations when you do not have data to back yourself up.” “I’m very proud of my record playing online, very proud of it, and I have nothing to hide.” Furthermore, Hikaru took issue with Kramnik’s accusation of “faking numbers and sending bots” to attack him in the comments section. “I would have to have an ego literally 100 times the size of my ego and it would have to be beyond chess to literally pay people, pay bots to come and post comments,” Hikaru stated. “I think it’s very disrespectful of Kramnik.” “For Kramnik to basically be insulting all of these mathematicians and statisticians who provided their name and used actual mathematical figures is very, very disrespectful and I think it shows that Kramnik has no respect for anybody at the end of the day.” “It’s sad to see, but that’s really where I’m going to leave it for now because there’s just… I don’t see anything good coming from it.”

Hikaru criticizes Andrea Botez for making jokes at World Chess Championship – Dexerto
Hikaru criticizes Andrea Botez for making jokes at World Chess Championship Twitch/Chess/Instagram/itsandreabotezTwitch chess sensation Andrea Botez is under fire from GM Hikaru Nakamura for asking a joke question to competitors at the World Chess Championship between Magnus Carlsen and Ian Nepomniachtchi. Andrea, along with her older sister Alexandra, has been touring the world as part of a big international tour that brought them from England and France to Norway and now Dubai. Their Dubai trip had the Botez sisters make their way into the World Chess Championship with Andrea able to ask questions at the post-match press conference. Unfortunately for Andrea, not everyone was pleased with her line of questioning, as GM Hikaru called her out during his Twitch stream. Botez asks joke question at World Chess Championship After waiting in line to speak and letting the two competitors answer some serious chess questions, Andrea got on the microphone “reporting” from her BotezLive channel. “Hello, Ian and Magnus, great game today. Another draw, who would have guessed?” she rhetorically asked. “I bet you’re really tired of getting a lot of really complicated chess questions. But, I’ve been dying to ask you, how does the Knight move?” For his part, Magnus cracked a soft smile and gave a serious answer to her “good” question, explaining that the piece moves like an “L” and remarked how it can be unpredictable in Blitz games. With that, Andrea sat down with her chat in awe that she actually asked such a bizarre question at a serious event. However, the comment was also a bit of an inside joke between the two as earlier in 2021, Magnus explained to the sisters how the Knight moves. Hikaru slams Botez for joke question for Magnus Carlsen GM Hikaru wasn’t too pleased with the comment and addressed it on stream, stating how while he understands doing things for content, there are still limits. “I’m going to be honest, in a world championship match, that should not happen,” he said. “Joking aside, it’s one thing to make content, but for a world championship press conference, the most serious event that we have in the chess world, that should not be happening.” While Hikaru even commented on how his criticism could start some drama within the community, he doubled down, yet again reiterating how that question “should not happen.” I want to say THANK YOU to @itsandreabotez for asking Magnus Carlsen how the knight moves at the press conference today. Now we will have several good days of chess drama content between people who are mad and people who don’t care. — GothamChess (@GothamChess) December 1, 2021 Despite Hikaru’s concerns, other big names, such as GothamChess, issued a “thank you” to Andrea on Twitter for providing “several good days of chess drama content between people who are mad and people who don’t care.” So far, neither Alexandra or Andrea have addressed Hikaru’s concerns, but they did retweet GothamChess’s remarks, suggesting they are fully aware of his criticisms.

Hikaru explains why he’s convinced Niemann cheated in chess drama with Magnus Carlsen – Dexerto
Hikaru explains why he’s convinced Niemann cheated in chess drama with Magnus Carlsen Pixabay/GMHikaruChess Grandmaster Hikaru Nakamura has responded to Magnus Carlsen’s recent remarks in the Hans Niemann cheating allegations and why he believes the 19-year-old looks guilty. A series of allegations have rocked the chess world with prodigy Hans Niemann accused of cheating after he bested Magnus Carlsen at the Sinquefield Cup leading to all sorts of wild theories such as the use of an adult toy to cheat. Although Niemann was accused of cheating and even admitted to cheating in games back on Chess.com, the young chess icon has remained adamant that he didn’t break the rules against Carlsen. On September 26, Carlsen broke his silence by doubling down on the cheating allegations, but also revealed he was not able to say everything he wanted to without Niemann’s permission. According to Hikaru, Niemamn only looks worse by not letting the world’s top chess star say everything he wants to about the accusations. Hikaru responds to Carlsen – Niemann chess cheating drama In a YouTube video taken from a Twitch stream, Hikaru delved into Carlsen’s remarks and the problem that Hans faces by remaining silent. After reading a comment saying how Hans will just refuse to say anything and hope the drama moves on, the streamer explained why this would be a bad move. “If Hans doesn’t say anything, the way I see it, it feels like he’s admitting something,” Hikaru said. “That has to be the case. There’s no other actual answer to all of this. I mean, what other answer could there be?” While Hikaru made it clear that silence is not an admission of guilt, the fact that Hans has said he hasn’t done anything wrong makes his silence on Carlsen all the more suspicious. So far, Niemann has yet to respond to Carlsen’s latest comments, but until he lets the chess star say everything, it seems like Hikaru has his mind made up about what really happened at the Sinquefield Cup.

High school teacher slams Andrew Tate for “ruining” freshman class – Dexerto
High school teacher slams Andrew Tate for “ruining” freshman class An American high school teacher has claimed that controversial internet personality Andrew Tate is “ruining” their freshman class. Four-time kickboxing world champion Andrew Tate has gone viral across TikTok, YouTube, and even Twitch in the last few months. Many critics find his views offensive and misogynistic, with even the likes of Jake Paul slamming him for teaching fans you need expensive cars to be cool. Now, with the school year starting, teachers are claiming Tate’s young audience has been causing trouble in the classroom. The school year has just recently begun in the U.S, and sadly children have apparently picked up some bad habits over the summer thanks to the likes of Andrew Tate. School teacher slams Andrew Tate According to a high school teacher and Reddit user ‘pomleli’, freshman pupils are making misogynistic claims in class. So far, the teacher had spoken to six families about the bad behavior already this school year. “Have y’all heard of a sexist, misogynistic, disgusting excuse of human being known as Andrew Tate? Well, I promise you all your middle school & high school boys have & they’re addicted to his content,” the teacher wrote in a Reddit thread on August 17. “Just this week I had to have 6 convos with families about their sons saying sh*t like ‘women are inferior to men’ ‘women belong in the kitchen’.” The teacher continued to explain how students even refused to complete their assignments if it was sourced from a woman. Additionally, three male students apparently refused to read an article from a female author because “women should only be housewives.” Out of the six parents the teacher had spoken with, five of them were mothers who were “absolutely mortified” by their child’s behavior. The last parent, which was the father said “we’ll he isn’t wrong” about the inexcusable comments in class. “It’s been only 2 weeks of school & these young boys are losing it. I’ve never heard such vitriol from young boys since this Andrew Tate guy came on the scene,” the teacher claimed. “This rise of incel and misogynistic rhetoric is terrifying.” Recently, TikTok has confirmed that it will be clamping down on “misogyny and other hateful ideologies” after an investigation revealed just how much content that violates guidelines is being promoted.

Hershey’s Park responds on TikTok after Macklemore has viral run-in with security before show – Dexerto
Hershey’s Park responds on TikTok after Macklemore has viral run-in with security before show Twitter: MacklemoreHershey’s Chocolate World has responded to Macklemore on TikTok just days after the singer had a viral run-in with security while riding his scooter inside of the store at the park. Back in 2012, Macklemore took the world by storm with his hit song “Thrift Shop,” becoming one of the most popular singers that year. He went on to release another album in 2016 before taking a hiatus until 2021 when he and his duo Ryan Lewis released ‘Next Year,’ their first single in years. Just like many musicians, Macklemore made his way to TikTok that same year as a way to promote their music and connect with fans. Fast forward to August 13 and the Grammy-winning musician posted a video showing a run-in he had with security at Hershey’s Park that promptly went viral on the short-form video app. Hershey’s responds after Macklemore’s viral run-in with security In the video, Macklemore explains that he was almost kicked out of Hershey’s Park before his show later that night as he was buying chocolate to throw out into the crowd. He rode into the store on his scooter and was quickly stopped by security. “Todd said we could actually do it,” he explained. “The head honcho. He said I’m the head honcho it’s cool with me. You have to keep it on the ground, all two wheels on the ground as long as you’re secure.” Security didn’t know who Todd was, so they kept an eye on Macklemore throughout the store as he got his chocolate and left before they had a chance to kick him out. (Click here if TikTok doesn’t load) Just a day later, Hershey’s Chocolate World responded with their own video with two employees inside of the store. One of the workers claims to be the infamous head honcho, Todd, and the other is a member of security. At the end of the recording, they tell Macklemore that he’s welcome back to the store anytime and they are going to treat him to an after-hours shopping spree. Hero dad saves baby trapped inside hot car by destroying window – Dexerto
Hero dad saves baby trapped inside hot car by destroying window TikTok/lindahdz91A heroic dad is going viral on social media for saving a baby trapped inside a scorching hot car in 100-degree weather. It’s been one hell of a hot summer, with record temperatures across the globe – and as such, keeping cool and hydrated has been the meta for surviving until fall. The hot weather doesn’t spare anyone, and one Texas dad had to take drastic action after accidentally leaving his son locked inside his car after forgetting his keys. In a video that’s spread across TikTok, the Texas dad became a hero for his son and family by wrecking his windshield in a desperate attempt to get his child to safety during the heatwave. Dad wrecks car to save baby inside car during heatwave We’ve all seen stories about people smashing car windows after seeing a dog locked inside a vehicle on a hot day, so you can only imagine how nerve-wracking it must have been for this dad. Armed with a crowbar, the dad can be seen smashing the windshield in order to get his child out to safety, while others in the H-E-B parking lot look on in amazement. After unforgivingly pounding the window and making a big enough hole, the man’s wife was able to climb through the windshield and get the child free by passing him to his father. People reports that the incident took place in Harlingen, Texas earlier in July during a 100-degree heatwave. Since the video was posted, it’s been viewed over 7 million times, going quite viral. Luckily for the family, EMTs and police arrived on the scene and determined the baby was fine, so no charges were filed. This dad isn’t the first baby-saver to go viral. Earlier this year, a toddler made waves on social media after saving his newborn brother from choking to death.

Hero grandma goes viral for stopping alleged Walmart shoplifter – Dexerto
Hero grandma goes viral for stopping alleged Walmart shoplifter TwitterA heroic grandma has won the internet’s heart after a video surfaced of her trying to shop an alleged shoplifter at a Walmart in Canada. It’s not every day that you see an elderly person step in to confront strangers, but that’s exactly what happened in an incident caught on film when a man appeared to leave a Walmart without paying. In the video, a man is seen leaving a Walmart with a shopping cart full of goods and a bike when another individual, presumingly the one filming, asked if he was “going to pay for that.” “Yeah,” the alleged thief replied while still pushing his cart towards the exit, trying to leave in a hurry. What he didn’t expect, however, was for a brave elderly woman to take matters into her own hands. https://twitter.com/Tr00peRR/status/1488195374116491267 Elderly woman fights accused shoplifter After using her own shopping cart to block his path, the woman yelled “excuse me” and tried to pull off his balaclava and reveal his face. Once she successfully pulled it off, the man kept trying to get away and found himself in a tug-of-war as the grandma pulled on his cart. “F**k off, a**hole!” she exclaimed with the confrontation escalating and eventually even successfully stopping him from taking the goods with him. “You jack up the price for everybody else, cause of you a**holes!” Video of the incident was originally posted to Facebook by Darrell Johansen, who claimed he had alerted police and that there were other theft issues at the Campbell River Walmart. “I spotted this guy within five seconds of entering the store and knew he was about to run, and this is the result,” he wrote, according to Newsweek. “Whoever this lady is that ripped his mask off, I’ll take you as my partner in crime-fighting anytime.” In the time since being uploaded, the clip has been reposted to Twitter and has been viewed over 800,000 times with many commending the woman for her actions, though some noted she is lucky the man wasn’t armed. Regardless, potential thieves may want to think twice with this grandma ready to throwdown and roll back her sleeves if things get confrontational at Walmart.

Here’s why the ‘Taylor Swift workout’ is going viral on TikTok YouTube: Late Night With Seth Meyers / TikTok: benntheredonethatA treadmill routine set to Taylor Swift’s music is taking TikTok by storm. Here’s everything you need to know about this latest viral workout craze. TikTok is a hive for viral content of all kinds. From popular pasta recipes to dance challenges and more, the short-from app is a perfect place for creators to take over the internet. The latest trend that’s sweeping the site is an exercise routine — but this isn’t your grandma’s jazzercise class. This particular workout uses Taylor Swift’s music to keep up a pace on the treadmill for a cardio session that’s guaranteed to get you moving to the beat. What is the Taylor Swift TikTok workout? The Taylor Swift workout was popularized by TikToker Allie Bennett, whose video on the topic has garnered a whopping 3.3 million views at the time of writing. The premise is simple — gym goers simply need to open up Bennett’s playlist filled with T-Swizzle’s music and find their pace with the first song, ‘The Man.’ From there, it gets a bit more challenging: You should add .1 mph each time the song changes, gradually increasing to a brisk run at the next to last song. For a cooldown, simply go back to a walk for the very last song. And there you have it — a simple cardio routine set to some timeless bops. Click here if TikTok fails to load. Bennett also added some extra advice in the comments section: “Do this at whatever incline you feel like (I usually do eight and then take it down to one when I run)!” The workout has accrued hundreds of thousands of likes, with viewers who tried it out for themselves gushing about the routine in the comments section. “I just did this today and I cannot thank you enough!” one user wrote. “Best workout I’ve had in months! I’ll be doing it daily! Thank you, thank you!” “Lemme tell you, this workout is no joke,” another said. “It is so good.” This is far from the first gym routine to go viral on TikTok; earlier this year, Lauren Giraldo’s 12-3-30 treadmill workout caught the interest of exercise enthusiasts across the app, and is still hugely popular months later.

Herman Li shocks DragonForce fans by sneaking behind them during IRL stream – Dexerto
Herman Li shocks DragonForce fans by sneaking behind them during IRL stream Wiki commons / TwitchDragonForce guitarist Herman Li shocked fans at the power metal band’s Switzerland tour as he snuck behind them for a song during his IRL stream. IRL [In-real-life] streaming has become incredibly popular on Twitch with tons of broadcasters showing off their day to day lives and exciting events. Even famous guitarist Herman Li has joined the trend, chatting with his fans and playing his guitar on Twitch. He even took it up a notch and began to broadcast DragonForce tours in February, showing off what the band gets up to. Herman Li was streaming a concert on Feb 16 when he decided to do something special for fans that were all the way at the back. He and bass player Alicia Vigil snuck off stage and took a back route to the bar, shocking fans who could barely see the stage with a front-row performance. At first, no one noticed them, but as soon as the song picked up and they fired up their instruments many fans turned around, with a mix of shock and joy, and began to rock with the DragonForce members. Twitch chat absolutely loved it as well, spamming PogChamp emotes and generally being shocked throughout. The duo only stayed at the bar for the band’s signature song, Through Fire and Flames, before returning to the stage to a hail of applause – no doubt many coming from fans who had absolutely loved the unique experience. DragonForce’s European tour finished on Feb 16, so fans may not see Herman Li performing on Twitch until March 5, when the band begins their American tour. Although, he’s still likely to broadcast on the streaming platform before that, even if just to chat with fans.

Here’s why Charli D’Amelio’s Instagram account has been deleted – Dexerto
Here’s why Charli D’Amelio’s Instagram account has been deleted YouTube: Charli D’AmelioIn the early hours of Friday, May 15, Charli D’Amelio’s Instagram page mysteriously completely disappeared, and nobody was quite sure why – but now we know. D’Amelio is TikTok’s most-followed star, with over 50 million followers on the platform and, most likely, career prospects that will keep her set up for life. Naturally, with such a huge online presence, her popularity expands to other social media platforms too and has amassed over 18 million followers on Instagram, but now the account doesn’t exist at all thanks to a huge mishap. Although at first fans were absolutely baffled, the air was quickly cleared by Charli’s mother, Heidi, in a funny tweet that really shows exactly what kind of people the D’Amelio family are. Saying that she was woken up at 4am by a mixture of laughing and crying, Heidi says she found the noise coming from Charli herself, obviously in hysterics as she managed to accidentally delete her own Instagram account. Following it up with a simple “love you CharChar,” Heidi and her family clearly aren’t that concerned about the matter, and will probably be expecting to rectify it as soon as possible. 4:00AM: I hear crying/laughing that woke me up-It’s @charlidamelio reacting to accidentally deleting her own Instagram account🤔🤦🏻♀️💜🤣love you CharChar🤗 — heididamelio (@heididamelio) May 15, 2020 Charli herself hasn’t yet commented on the accident, though she did put out a tweet shortly after simply saying that she’s “not the brightest.” So it’s clear that Charli, somehow, managed to delete her own Instagram account and the 18m followers that came with it. When she can get it back, or if she even can at all, remains a mystery. Judging by how lighthearted both Charli and Heidi are speaking of the incident suggests it will be rectified in the long run, but fans might have to wait a little longer before any Charli content hits their Instagram feed again.

Within 24 hours Rewind 2018’s release, it became apparent that the eight-minute video could potentially take the undesirable title of ‘most disliked YouTube video ever’. However, it still faced some extremely stiff competition. Contents Who has the most dislikes on YouTube? The likes of PewDiePie’s ‘Can this video get 1 million dislikes?’ video, the rather unpopular Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Reveal Trailer, Jake Paul’s ‘It’s Everyday Bro’, and even Logan Paul’s apology video after his Suicide Forest scandal are just to name a few. Then there are songs that split the YouTube community, like Justin Bieber’s ‘Baby’ – a song released in 2010 that still manages to annoy some people. PewDiePie’s actually asked for dislikes, so he can be proud of his final placing. An incredibly high dislike total for a video is rarely a good thing, unless you’re purposefully seeking them out like PewDiePie, but which video is the current dislike king? Well, Wikipedia have been keeping an up-to-date record, so here’s the official list. Here’s Who Will be Fighting on the KSI vs Logan Paul Undercard – Dexerto
Here’s Who Will be Fighting on the KSI vs Logan Paul Undercard KSI / TwitterThe August 25 boxing event boxing match between KSI and Logan Paul is drawing ever closer, but who else is fighting on the undercard? The most notable fight other than the main event is, of course, the co-main, which will see KSI’s younger brother Deji face off against Logan Paul’s younger brother, Jake Paul. However, there are a number of other interesting bouts on the undercard that have gone largely unnoticed as all focus has been on the war of words between the Olatunji and Paul brothers. The current undercard, which includes names like JMX, FaZe Sensei, AnEsonGib, and Jay Swingler, is as follows: Deji vs. Jake Paul – AnEsonGib vs. Jay Swingler – JMX vs. Coach Richard – Call me Ham vs. Jrizzy Jeremy – MOMO vs. RossiHD – FaZe Sensei vs. overtflow – Rackaracka vs Scarce – It is currently uncertain what the order of the fights will be, and the card could be subject to change if any of the contestants drop out. One of the most notable names to not be included on the card is that of Joe Weller. Read More: KSI Responds to Logan Paul’s Sexual Harassment Allegations: “A terrible attempt at trying to knock my credibility” – Weller, who lost to KSI in the first YouTube boxing event in February, recently released a video where he said that he wants to get back in the ring and is willing to fight anyone, but no opponent has been found yet. The matchup between FaZe Sensei and overtflow promises to be the highest quality, as both fighters are experienced martial artists, but the entertainment factor from the other bouts cannot be underestimated.

Heinz reveal pickle flavor ketchup ahead of National Pickle Day – Dexerto
Heinz reveal pickle flavor ketchup ahead of National Pickle Day HeinzHeinz have announced that they’ll be releasing an all-new pickle-inspired flavor in keeping with National Pickle Day. November is a month when lots of food celebrations seem to take place. With Thanksgiving fast approaching, and National Sandwich Day having just passed, fans can now look forward to National Pickle Day. National Pickle Day takes place on November 14. This holiday was first invented in 1949, by the Pickle Packer’s Association. As the name suggests, they were a company that focused on the improvement of the pickle-packing industry. With surging popularity, and more varieties of pickles becoming widely available to US audiences, National Pickle Day has become somewhat of a staple. This has led food brand, Heinz, to produce a brand new pickle-flavored ketchup. What does the new pickle-flavored ketchup taste like? When fans first see the new pickle-inspired treat, they might think that the product isn’t, in fact, real. We’ve seen this many times in the past, where AI creates brand new food items, such as the Easy Cheese/Oreo combination, which turned out to be fake. We can guarantee, however, that this is a real release, and will be dropping in early 2024. In terms of what the product tastes like, it’s supposedly super tangy in terms of flavor, but with the unmistakable sweetness of ketchup. The brand’s director, Katie Peterson, said: “Increased desire for tasty, yet unexpected condiments has served as our innovation north star for the last several years.” This isn’t the only strangely-flavoured product to be released this month, as Baskin-Robbins just announced a turkey dinner-inspired ice cream flavor.
