Epic Games remove Fortnite ads in response to YouTube’s pedophile scandal Epic Games / YouTubeFortnite developers Epic Games have pulled their advertisements from YouTube, following a serious scandal across the video platform concerning pedophilic content. The company removed their pre-roll ads from YouTube after learning that the ads were being featured in questionable videos involving young girls. A spokesperson for Epic claimed that they are pausing their ads indefinitely, until further action is taken from YouTube on the matter. “Through our advertising agency, we have reached out to YouTube to determine actions they’ll take to eliminate this type of content from their service,” the spokesperson claimed, as stated in an interview with Wired. While the issue of pedophilic content is one that has long plagued the platform, the situation most recently came to light due to a video created by YouTuber Matt ‘MattsWhatItIs’ Watson on February 17, where he noted that he was able to find suggestive videos of young girls within five clicks on the site. Watson also noted that, once he viewed the problematic content in question, he was stuck in a ‘wormhole’ of similar, suggested videos – which contained a slew of pedophilic comments. Read More: Study claims that Ninja has millions of “duplicate” followers on Twitch, Facebook, and YouTube – Watson’s video has since gone viral, causing many companies to pause advertisements on the site, including the likes of online spell-checking service Grammarly, Swedish furniture company IKEA, and Epic Games, among others. Thank you for reaching out, Kassie. IKEA US uses brand safety technology on all of our digital ads to make sure they don’t run in unsafe environments. We’re looking into this with YouTube to ensure these measures are working properly. — IKEA USA Help (@IKEAUSAHelp) February 19, 2019 YouTube has since spoken out on the matter, with a spokesperson claiming, “when we find content that is in violation of our policies, we immediately stop serving ads or remove it altogether.” YouTube has previously taken major efforts to remove such content, as evidenced by the site’s ‘ElsaGate’ and ‘FamilyOFive’ scandals from 2017 & 2018, which showed apparent pedophilic intent and abuse toward children.

Epic Games respond to Soulja Boy claiming Fortnite runs on his console – Dexerto
Epic Games respond to Soulja Boy claiming Fortnite runs on his console Soulja Boy has made headlines at the start of 2019 over his blatant knock off consoles, but his claim that his next console release will run Fortnite has prompted a response from Epic Games themselves. Soulja Boy, a Chicago rapper who has made somewhat of a resurgence in late 2018 – early 2019 thanks to controversial product releases and media appearances, continues to expand his ambition in the console gaming market. His ‘SouljaGame’ console was removed from sale after rumors spread that Nintendo were gearing up for a lawsuit, as the console was said to use illegal emulation software – essentially copies of the Nintendo Wii U and GameBoy consoles. However, even the threat of a lawsuit from a company the size of Nintendo hasn’t deterred Soulja Boy’s ambitions, as he has claimed in an interview on Complex’s Everyday Struggle that his next console will be the best yet. Controversially, he also claimed that it would run Fortnite, the world’s most popular game, but in order for a game to be available on any platform it must be licensed by the publisher. Unsurprisingly, Fortnite publisher Epic Games, in a statement to DualShockers, suggested it was unlikely to ever feature on Soulja Boy’s console as anti-cheat measures prevent it being played on a ‘jailbroken device’. You can’t play Fortnite on a rooted or jailbroken device due to anti-cheat measures. However, Epic Games PR Nick Chester did say that they know nothing about the exact device in question – so perhaps there is still hope for Soulja Boy’s Fortnite dreams? We don’t know anything about the device, and I didn’t shut down anything. I answered a question on a topic we’ve already been clear on and is known. — Nick Chester (@nickchester) January 19, 2019 Despite (or thanks to) the controversy surrounding his console, Soulja Boy has been creating a strong buzz around his name once more. He has even lashed out at both Ariana Grande and Drake for ‘stealing his flow’ on songs, and the writer of Grande’s latest single even confirmed that they were inspired by Soulja Boy’s song. Top YouTuber PewDiePie also discussed the ongoing Soulja Boy madness in his January 18 video, calling him out for clearly knock-off consoles. You can watch Soulja Boy’s appearance on Everyday Struggle below.

Epic Games facing another lawsuit over Running Man emote in Fortnite – Dexerto
Epic Games facing another lawsuit over Running Man emote in Fortnite The Ellen Show / Epic GamesFortnite developers Epic Games are being sued, yet again – this time, for using the famed ‘Running Man’ dance an in-game emote. Jaylen Brantley and Jared Nickens, two former basketball players for the University of Maryland, argue that Epic used their dance without permission – and claimed that the company is profiting from African American culture. “Epic has also consistently sought to exploit African American talent, in particular in Fortnite, by copying their dances and movement,” their suit reads. Brantley & Nickens v. E… by on Scribd Brantley and Nickens brought the ‘Running Man’ dance to fame after creating the ‘Running Man Challenge’ in 2016, which later resulted in the two being invited onto the Ellen Show. However, some dispute arose as to who actually owns rights to the dance, as the challenge was originally incepted by students Kevin Vincent and Jerry Hall, who likewise made an appearance on the Ellen Show. Brantley himself admitted to gaining inspiration for the challenge from a video, which showed a Jersey native doing the ‘Running Man’ dance – which has also been credited to New Jersey club dances, at large. This isn’t the first time Epic has been sued for using popular dances as purchasable emotes, either; the company is also facing suits from ‘Fresh Prince’ actor Alfonso Ribeiro, rappers 2 Milly and BlocBoy JB, and even ‘Orange Shirt Kid’ and ‘Backpack Kid,’ to boot. However, Epic’s response to 2 Milly’s lawsuit could point to their stance on the matter, as their attorney stated that “no one can own a dance step.”

Unlike these other partnerships, CodeMiko is a step in a different, more meta direction. Enna Alouette’s “racism” controversy was a “wake up call” for NIJISANJI VTuber – Dexerto
Enna Alouette’s “racism” controversy was a “wake up call” for NIJISANJI VTuber YouTube: Enna AlouetteNIJISANJI star Enna Alouette has spoken out further about “racist” comments she made on stream, stating it was a “wake up call” for the VTuber about her platform. She also asked fans to stop making excuses for her, adding she takes full responsibility. Enna Alouette found herself embroiled in controversy after she made an “insensitive and ignorant” remark on stream, perpetuating a negative cultural stereotype about African Americans. On a collaboration with Kyo Kaneko, Enna stated it was difficult to impersonate the star’s accent because it “kinda tells me you maybe listen to too much Snoop Dogg,” also quipping about eating chicken. Kyo told Enna in the moment she perpetuated the negative racial stereotype, and she eventually was educated on it and apologized for her actions. However, she went even further on her following stream about her ignorance, taking full responsibility for her actions. “I messed up really bad,” she said on October 28. “For the majority of the collab, it was fine. Towards the end, I got, not even a little, I basically hurt a lot of people. I was super insensitive and ignorant on a cultural stereotype, and I also put my friend in an uncomfortable situation. “That’s very embarrassing and I’m ashamed of it. Thankfully Kyo was the one to bring awareness to what I did wrong, more so after the stream we had a call about it, so I appreciate him for doing that.” While Enna received an outpouring of support on social media from her Aloupeeps, she tried to quell the chorus of hearts and messages from those not affected. She stated, “even though I had no malicious intent or anything, it was very wrong and 100% racist.” She also asked for no one to try to justify her comments, and called it a “wake up call” for her behavior on stream. “I’m on a public platform with a very large reach. I’m very aware, when I make apologies or when any influencer makes an apology, it sounds like it’s for everyone but it’s not. Which is why I’m telling you guys to hold back on your hearts and saying supportive things to me right now,” she continued. “I’m talking to the people who I affected and hurt. If you’re not a person who isn’t directly affected by it, please don’t go around saying ‘we forgive you, people make mistakes.’ This is not the time, and this is not a situation where anyone gives any justification to me. Please stop. “I’m going to make sure I’m very mindful from now on [about] how I think, how I act, and what I say. Honestly, I’ve been treading on the bounds a lot throughout my career in NIJISANJI. This honestly was a wake up call, seriously.” Enna ended up canceling her streams for the rest of the week, returning at the start of November. She fully expects for some things to be different though, and she’s not going to try and brush it off. She’s facing her consequences head-on and hopes to grow from it. “If you feel uncomfortable, upset, or angry, these are very valid feelings. I totally understand if you need to step away from me or my content. You don’t have to hear my apology and I don’t have any expectation of getting any forgiveness from literally anyone. “There isn’t much I can do or say, but I promise I will be better, and only time can really show that. Right now I’m just saying pretty words, but I need to work on myself every day. “I hope the silver lining to all of this is to bring awareness to situations like this; for me, and hopefully a lot of other people, to be mindful. And for those who are in the same boat of being ignorant or insensitive towards a cultural stereotype, I hope you guys can learn from my mistake.”

Enraged passenger kicked off plane after getting physical with pilot – Dexerto
Enraged passenger kicked off plane after getting physical with pilot TIKTOK: _benmckayA Virgin Australia passenger went viral on TikTok after grabbing a pilot’s shirt while swearing at him, before getting kicked off the flight. The man in question was filmed getting into a physical altercation with the pilot at the front of a Virgin Australia plane, as shocked passengers watched on. In the TikTok video, the pilot could be heard telling the man to “walk” or they’d “get someone,” but the situation escalated further before the pilot told him, “you’re off mate.” The passenger could be seen grabbing the pilot’s shirt with his fists as the pilot repeatedly told him to “let go.” The man, however, continued to protest. An air hostess and a member of the public then stepped in to help the pilot push him towards the doors. “Don’t f**king touch me you stupid c***,” the angry man was heard yelling. After he got aggressive with the flight attendant, the pilot could be heard giving instructions to “get the cops.” In response, the passenger said he was leaving. In the comments, TikTok users applauded the flight crew for how they handled the situation. “Damn crew did amazing, they shouldn’t have to deal with this… that female flight attendant was fiercely awesome,” one user wrote. “Well done to the crew, even though we’re trained for this, it’s still awful to deal with,” another commented. Virgin Australia said the passenger was removed from the flight for unruly and disruptive behavior, with police called to the airport and travel restrictions imposed on the man. “The safety of guests and crew is our number one priority and we have zero tolerance for any type of unruly behavior on Virgin Australia flights,” a company spokeswoman told news.com.au. This isn’t the first time a passenger has gone viral for all the wrong reasons. Back in November, an airline passenger was recorded threatening a crew member after being denied booze.

The reasons behind the ban are still unknown, though, Twitch has taken some steps they don’t usually do so. Fans reported that they’d received emails confirming that they were being refunded on their subscription to The Doc as he quickly lost his partner status. However, the conclusion to his final stream before the ban has sparked some questions – especially as viewers noted a sudden change in his body language and demeanor. The final eight and a bit minutes from his June 25 stream has been put under the microscope by many fans and interested outsiders. England football legend Wayne Rooney wants Jake Paul fight & Eddie Hearn says its possible – Dexerto
England football legend Wayne Rooney wants Jake Paul fight & Eddie Hearn says its possible Instagram: jakepaul/Wikimedia Commons: All-Pro ReelsAccording to Eddie Hearn, England football legend Wayne Rooney has frequently reached out to him asking to take on Jake Paul in the boxing ring, with Hearn claiming that it’s a “makeable fight.” In recent years, despite how the boxing purists might feel about it, Jake Paul has become a huge money fight in the combat sports world, with millions of dollars on the line and fanfare that extends far beyond the regular reach of boxing. Throughout his career, he has taken on UFC stars like Ben Askren, Tyron Woodley, and Anderson Silva, as well as his most recent fight with Tommy Fury, which was over a year in the making. After fighting MMA fighters and NBA players, a stalwart of another sport is now looking to take him on in the ring, with one of England’s finest ever players looking for the fight. Speaking on That Peter Crouch podcast, Hearn said that he’ll sometimes get a text from Rooney “when he’s had a drink” asking to fight the younger Paul brother, naturally getting Hearn a bit excited at the prospect. He did add that Wayne Rooney can fight, and has had amateur fights in the past, but whether England’s second-highest-ever scorer would seriously want the fight is another question. In another podcast, in a clip now doing the rounds on TikTok, Hearn also added that Wayne Rooney vs Jake Paul at Old Trafford is a “makeable fight,” clearly having given it some thought. Obviously, there will be a lot of people, fighters or otherwise, who will have said they want to take on Jake Paul in some capacity. Wayne Rooney does have a history of fighting, having made headlines earlier in his career for having a friendly scrap with teammate Phil Bardsley, and getting knocked out by his opponent. If he could do it under the bright lights against someone much younger and who has been doing it nonstop for years, however, is hard to say.

Atlanta nurses fired after making comments about patients in TikTok “icks” trend – Dexerto
Atlanta nurses fired after making comments about patients in TikTok “icks” trend TikTokFour Labor and Delivery nurses in Atlanta got fired after posting a viral TikTok sharing their “icks” concerning expecting mothers and their families. In December, a group of labor and delivery nurses from Emory University hospital uploaded a TikTok in which they discussed their patient ‘icks.’ “My ick is when you come in for your induction, talking about ‘can I take a shower, can I eat?’” one said, with another going on to add: “My ick is when you ask me how much the baby weighs and it’s still in your hands.” Many commenters were outraged by the now-deleted clip, with one user commenting on a re-upload of the post, “my ick is unethical professionals.” Another commenter went on to say: “My ick is knowing health care professionals are judging you when you’re going through a traumatic and beautiful experience.” Nurses fired following controversial TikTok Following the backlash, Emory Healthcare staff fired the nurses, and released a public statement on December 8 addressing the situation. “We are aware of a TikTok video that included disrespectful and unprofessional comments about maternity patients at Emory University Hospital Midtown. We have investigated the situation and taken appropriate actions with the former employees responsible for the video,” they said. “This video does not represent our commitment to patient and family-centered care and falls far short of the values and standards we expect every member of our team to hold and demonstrate. “At no time should our patients ever feel they are not being treated with care and respect. Every patient at Emory Healthcare deserves to be cared for by a compassionate, experienced team in a comfortable and safe environment.” Although the original video has now been deleted, reuploads of the post are continuing to circulate on TikTok, with responses to the clip garnering millions of views.

Emotional Streamer Rage Quits His Broadcast Because No One Was Putting Anything in the Chat – Dexerto
Emotional Streamer Rage Quits His Broadcast Because No One Was Putting Anything in the Chat A Twitch streamer named ‘RAGE’ got quite emotional in his latest stream when no one was putting anything in his chat. He got so emotional in fact, that he turned off his live broadcast out of anger, not wanting to continue staring at the emptiness of his chat box. RAGE was streaming ‘We Happy Few’ on August 16 when he noticed that almost every one of his viewers was lurking and not typing. This got him irritated, to the point where he went on an angry and emotional rant about his audience being “dicks” and proceeded to turn off his stream. “All of you guys are dicks, fucking dicks. Two hours every time, I’m always on two hours every time. You guys fucking come in and you fucking act like you’re here, then fucking leave, and that’s how it is. I just have to get used to it, but it’s not fucking fair. Bye! Fuck this stream, I’m fucking ending it. I’m fucking ending it right now! It’s fucking over.” Being a Twitch streamer can sometimes be very difficult and frustrating for a number of reasons, one of which is having an inactive chat. Knowing that there are viewers watching the stream but not seeing any messages being typed in the chat can be a exasperating experience, especially for a partnered streamer like RAGE. Judging by his reaction, this type of things happens often in his stream, and apparently always at around the two hour mark. However, with nearly 13,000 followers and a partnership with Twitch, it’s unlikely that RAGE will let this type of thing stop him from continuing to pursue a streaming career.

Emma Chamberlain shuts down pregnancy rumors – Dexerto
Emma Chamberlain shuts down pregnancy rumors YouTube star Emma Chamberlain has opened up about her personal life and relationship, even shutting down any “pregnancy rumors” that fans might try to spread. The 18-year-old featured on the cover of Cosmopolitan magazine in January, something that surprised herself, saying she ‘couldn’t believe it’. The magazine called her “the most popular girl in the world.” She also spoke with the magazine for an interview, giving more personal details than she often goes into in her YouTube videos. Her videos have helped her attract more than 8.5 million subscribers, and is likely to hit 10 million at some point in 2020, but according to Cosmopolitan, Chamberlain’s “next challenge” is actually her personal life. “I’d like to open up more about my relationship,” sho told Cosmo‘s Dana Schwartz, “But things change so quickly – if I say something now, who knows where my life will be in three months? I could be pregnant.” Knowing that even mentioning the word pregnancy fleetingly could spark hysteria, the magazine made sure to clarify that Chamberlain had no plans of getting pregnant and has an IUD. Back in July, the YouTuber uploaded a video entitled “I’M PREGNANT????”, complete with a fake baby-bulge, before reassuring fans that it was fake. At the time, she explained more about her thoughts on pregnancy. “One day, I am going to be pregnant, and I don’t know when that day’s going to be, probably in like ten years, maybe more.” She also explained that she’s ‘been nervous her whole life’ and scared to have children. Chamberlain then proceeded to live her whole day ‘as a pregnant woman’, even going shopping for baby clothes, and trying to get comfortable while protecting a baby-shaped stomach. For now though, it’s clear that continuing her YouTube success, and expanding beyond it more into the mainstream eye with this magazine cover, are Emma’s current goals. Still only 18, the potential growth for her channel and continued rise as one of the world’s new celebrities will be fascinating to watch over the coming years.

Emma Chamberlain under fire for wearing “stolen” jewelry from Indian Royalty at Met Gala – Dexerto
Emma Chamberlain under fire for wearing “stolen” jewelry from Indian Royalty at Met Gala YouTube: VogueYouTube star Emma Chamberlain is catching flak for wearing some jaw-dropping gems believed to have been stolen from Indian Royalty at the 2022 Met Gala. Emma Chamberlain is one part internet superstar and one part budding fashion icon. As such, it came as little surprise that the YouTuber — who boasts over 11 million subscribers — made an appearance at the 2022 Met Gala to orchestrate interviews for Vogue. Her ‘Gilded Glamour’ look included a cropped top with puffed sleeves and a slinky white skirt… but it was her eye-catching choker that stole the show. View this post on Instagram The necklace features a huge yellow 23.6 carat De Beers diamond in the center, alongside an additional 2,930 other diamonds, totaling a whopping 1,000 carat weight. However, it’s not the expense that makes this choker special; this necklace has quite a history, as well. The piece was notably in possession of Indian royalty Maharaja Bhupinder Singh of Patiala, who ruled from 1900 to 1938. It’s also worth noting that Singh was one of the richest men in the world (and an avid Cricket player) — but his choker suddenly went missing from the Patiala royal treasury sometime around 1948, nearly ten years after his death. It is believed that the choker was stolen by the British, as the necklace resurfaced at a London jewelry store in 1998, where it was subsequently scooped up by Cartier (a company for which Chamberlain is an ambassador). When Chamberlain showed up at the Met Gala sporting the historic piece, the internet instantly went ablaze with comments and criticism surrounding her eye-popping accessory. “Okay so nobody is gonna talk about Emma Chamberlain wearing literally a necklace worn by a south Asian king at the Met Gala?” one user wrote on Twitter. “When it comes to South Asians, it’s always ignored and rejected. SPEAK ABOUT THIS.” https://twitter.com/Nikiforminaj/status/1526065938990243842 “This is way worse than Kim wearing Marilyn Monroe’s dress,” another wrote. “It has a deep and painful history attached to it. Very on theme, nothing screams ‘gilded glamour’ quite like expropriation.” So i just found out emma chamberlain wore the maharaja of patiala’s necklace at the met gala… this is wayyy worse than kim wearing marilyn monroe’s dress. It has a deep and painful history attached to it. Very on theme, nothing screams gilded glamour quite like expropriation pic.twitter.com/XqqHwqusdU — 🦋 (@arianaspovv) May 7, 2022 However, others are coming in defense of Chamberlain and are instead pointing the finger at Cartier. “Cartier are the ones to be canceled,” one user wrote. “Making their ambassador wear a stolen necklace of a glorious history, not a clueless YouTuber… I am sure she wouldn’t have worn it if she was informed of its history.” cartier r the ones to be canceled, making their ambassador wear a stolen necklace of a glorious history not a clueless youtuber (in a good way) i am sure she wouldn’t have worn it if she way informed of its history #emmachamberlain #Cartier #MetGala — Amine (@Aminexthebeat) May 15, 2022 Do you honestly think Emma Chamberlain knew what the f**k she was wearing?” another said. “A whole team of stylists would have been involved with choosing what she wore, and even they were probably unaware. Be mad at @Cartier for owning it, you morons!” Do you honestly think #emmachamberlain knew what the fuck she was wearing? A whole team of stylist’s would have been involved with choosing what she wore and even they were probably unaware. Emma Chamberlain & James Charles finally collab after Sister Squad hiatus – Dexerto
Emma Chamberlain & James Charles finally collab after Sister Squad hiatus YouTube: James Charles[jwplayer mgzBNoPb]YouTube stars Emma Chamberlain and James Charles have finally collaborated again, nearly a year after the unofficial “Sister Squad” went quiet — and fans are hopeful this means the group will make its long-awaited comeback. It seems like every social media outlet has its own content collaborative: just take a look at the Hype House or Team 10, for example, which brought together some of YouTube and TikTok’s biggest stars under a single roof. While not exactly like those two organizations, the “Sister Squad” had its own unique take on teaming up top-tier influencers, with best friends and YouTubers James Charles, Emma Chamberlain and the Dolan Twins becoming an unofficial YouTube group among themselves. Dubbed the “Sister Squad” by fans, taking after James Charles’ own nickname for his viewers, the four content creators often appeared in each other’s videos and claimed to be thick as thieves — until things suddenly went quiet among the group around early 2019. This apparent breakup occurred a few months after James Charles’ viral scandal in May, after former mentor Tati Westbrook accused him of a slew of wrongdoings (including promoting a rival vitamin brand). Nearly two years later, the “Sister Squad” seems to be shaping up again, as Emma and James have appeared in a collaborative video together, where Emma picked out James’ clothes for an entire week. The two could barely keep it together as the video began, with Chamberlain humorously claiming that she was “getting emotional” as she blurted out James’ signature “Hi, sisters!” opener. https://www.instagram.com/p/CEm2yR5gzjG/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link “I didn’t think I would ever be in this room again,” she admitted. “I feel really good. I missed you.” “It’s been a really long time,” Charles continued after giving his friend a fierce hug. “Emma and I recently reconnected after I think like two years. Absolutely insane. …a lot can happen over the course of two years. Its been really amazing just catching back up and really being in each other’s lives again.” Charles went on to claim that he and Chamberlain had reconnected “in private” and are now able to catch up with each other in the public eye, further adding fuel to the fire that something occurred behind the scenes to split the squad apart. However, neither Emma nor James spilled the beans on what actually caused the Sister Squad to split up — but who cares when you’ve got two of YouTube’s biggest superstars back in each other’s good graces?

Emma Chamberlain reveals why she deleted her TikTok with 10 million followers – Dexerto
Emma Chamberlain reveals why she deleted her TikTok with 10 million followers YouTube: Emma ChamberlainYouTube superstar Emma Chamberlain was growing fast on another social media platform, TikTok, before suddenly deciding to delete her account, which boasted over 10 million followers. Chamberlain has now explained the unexpected decision, saying “good riddance.” With over 11 million subscribers on her main YouTube channel, Chamberlain was close to eclipsing that number already on TikTok, in a short space of time. However, that journey has been cut short by the YouTuber herself, posting on Instagram showing that she was deleting her account, with the caption “good riddance.” This caught fans off guard, but on her podcast, Chamberlain has explained why she felt compelled to remove her presence from the platform. Why did Emma Chamberlain delete her TikTok? On her “anything goes” podcast, Chamberlain said that it felt like TikTok was making her lazier, staying in bed too long scrolling. “I didn’t realize how bad the problem was until I cut TikTok out of my life,” she said. “As dumb as it may sound, it has been genuinely a life-changing experience. “It seemed like TikTok kept me entertained in the bed to the point where I would stay in bed so much longer. Within the first few days of deleting TikTok, I stopped laying in bed so much because I would get so bored. It forced me to get up and I felt like I was doing more chores.” In the description of the podcast episode, it reads “After using it every day for over a year, Emma finally deleted TikTok off her phone. While it may not seem like a big deal, it’s made a massive impact on her life. “This episode she’s talking about all the ways eliminating distractions in our life can make it so much better. How removing things like a social media app that we waste our time on, or relationships that drain our energy, can give us the physical and mental space to do the things we really enjoy.” TikTok has a reputation for being a very addictive app, keeping users scrolling thanks to its expertly tailored algorithm. Although you can ‘follow’ users, the majority of the content people view is on TikTok’s “For You Page“, which provides a constant stream of videos that the app predicts you will enjoy based on previous habits.

Emma Chamberlain explains why she hates being labeled an “influencer” – Dexerto
Emma Chamberlain explains why she hates being labeled an “influencer” YouTube star Emma Chamberlain is one of the biggest names in social media — but there’s one term the internet celebrity finds “disgusting,” and it’s often used to describe those in her position. The term “influencer,” as defined by Influencer Marketing Hub, is “an individual who has the power to affect purchase decisions of others because of their authority, knowledge, position or relationship with their audience.” Many online entertainers fall into this category, with names like Tana Mongeau, Logan Paul, and even Twitch streamers like Imane “Pokimane” Anys all deemed “influencers” due to their massive followings. In spite of this popular (and somewhat accurate) term, YouTuber Emma Chamberlain is at odds with the word, as told in an interview with Cosmopolitan’s Dana Schwartz on January 7. According to the vlogger-turned-coffee making connoisseur, the word “influencer” actually “disgusts” her, with Chamberlain claiming that the term differs from her actual job of being an entertainer for her fans. “I think the word ‘influencer’ is kind of disgusting,” the star said. “Let’s use me as an example: If someone is calling me an influencer, they’re saying that my job is to influence, and I don’t think that’s true. I prefer to entertain and be a friend. I don’t want to influence.” Despite boasting over 8 million YouTube subscribers and Instagram followers alike, Chamberlain isn’t comfortable with being branded as a glorified saleswoman: instead, she prefers to connect with her fans and create content, and has even branched out into making her own coffee. However, her stance against “influencing” (much like her coffee prices) are seeing some backlash from critics, with users across Twitter arguing that she can’t escape the influencer label because, well, that’s what she is. Chamberlain’s interview with Cosmo likewise saw her plastered on the magazine’s front page — a development that the YouTuber “couldn’t believe.” “It’s a little weird, because I used to read Cosmopolitan every time I was on the plane,” she said in a January 7 video. “I would get a Cosmo in the airport then read it on the plane. I used to do that every time I’d fly, so it’s pretty crazy.” Despite the critics, it seems that Chamberlain keeps on climbing the ladder of success, and there’s no telling what’s next in store for one of YouTube’s brightest young stars.

Emma Chamberlain has returned to YouTube and the internet is Freaking Out – Dexerto
Emma Chamberlain has returned to YouTube and the internet is Freaking Out YouTube: Emma ChamberlainEmma Chamberlain has returned to YouTube after a six-month hiatus and fans are losing their minds, with her latest video already racking up half a million views. Emma Chamberlain is an extremely popular influencer best known for her down-to-earth fashion and lifestyle vlogs on YouTube. However, she’s also something of a coffee connoisseur, and owns her very own coffee company. This, alongside her status as a bonafide Cartier ambassador, puts her at the top of social media stardom… but she took a major step back from her biggest platform late last year. In 2021, Chamberlain revealed that she would be taking an indefinite hiatus from creating content due to the pressures of making regular videos and the lack of privacy from daily vlogging. Her last upload was published on December 14, 2021. Six months later, she’s finally returned to YouTube with an unexpected, but overwhelmingly welcome, video. In her video, Chamberlain wandered around New York asking citizens for their favorite food spots and the best places to visit using nothing but a handwritten sign and a microphone. It was an adorable affair that showcased the friendly side of NYC, and Chamberlain ended up loving the experience. Although she didn’t acknowledge her comeback in the video directly, she did post a short sentence in the video’s description: “Happy to be back.” It turns out that her fans are also ecstatic about her latest vlog… but mostly because she’s finally uploaded after going dark for half a year. “Emma Chamberlain posting on YouTube has saved my year tbh,” one fan said over on Twitter. https://twitter.com/scarlettevol6/status/1539693650795429888 “I want everyone to know that i walked out of my add math exam and the first thing I saw was the notification from Emma Chamberlain posting on YouTube and I’ve never frozen in place quite as fast,” another joked. i want everyone to know that i walked out of my add math exam and the first thing i saw was the notification from emma chamberlain posting on youtube and i’ve never frozen in place quite as fast — hermione (@roseshallway) June 22, 2022 “Emma Chamberlain has posted on YouTube and all is right with the world now,” another fan said. https://twitter.com/ALEXithymia101/status/1539692778006974467 Even YouTube chimed in on the celebration, leaving a personal message to Emma in the comments on her New York vlog. It’s clear that viewers are happier than ever that Chamberlain is back on YouTube, and we can’t wait to see where this new chapter takes her next.

Emma Chamberlain addresses backlash over allegedly racist photos – Dexerto
Emma Chamberlain addresses backlash over allegedly racist photos Emma Chamberlain, YouTube[jwplayer mgzBNoPb]Emma Chamberlain is one of YouTube’s biggest stars, boasting over 9 million subscribers on the platform for her humorous videos — but the popular entertainer is now being called out over a photo many critics deemed as racist. Chamberlain isn’t known for being problematic, and is most widely hailed for both the relatable content she films for her YouTube channel and her open, honest personality. Despite these traits, the YouTuber became the subject of outrage in late June, after she posted a photo to Instagram that showed her pulling the skin back from her eyes in what some claimed to be an attempt in mocking Asian people. “Luv, this pose is super racist and is literally the slant eyes gesture that little white kids used to bully me with,” one user wrote on Twitter. “Delete this.” https://twitter.com/EmmaKent10/status/1273828204491313153?s=20 “Not miss Emma Chamberlain posting a racist pic mocking Asians’ slanted eyes,” another commented. “Regardless of if it was intentional or not, girly should’ve known better. Especially right now to have thought that was okay, because the insensitivity shows through.” not miss emma chamberlain posting a racist pic mocking asians slanted eyes & regardless of if it was intentional or not girly should’ve known better esp rn to have thought that was okay bc the insensitivity shows thru — jen🌟 (@daylightcanyonn) June 20, 2020 Chamberlain has since spoken out about the photo, which has since been deleted from her Instagram in wake of fan backlash. “It’s come to my attention that some thought I was posing in an insensitive way in my recent Instagram post,” she explained in a Tweet. “That was NOT my intention at all and I’m so sorry to those who were hurt by it. I love and appreciate you so much.” https://twitter.com/emmachamberlain/status/1274783355783938048?s=20 This isn’t the only incident she’s come under fire for as of late: Another video of Chamberlain’s has also come under scrutiny, which shows the star wearing foundation that appears to be a few shades far too dark for her skin tone. The star clarified in a Twitter post that the screenshot was taken from an older video where she used dollar store products to do her makeup, and claimed she removed the upload some time ago after being called out by fans. “I grabbed the wrong shade by accident and didn’t realize the shade was incorrect until I was already putting it on,” she clarified. “…I am learning and growing every day, and I apologize.” https://twitter.com/emmachamberlain/status/1274826516048695296?s=20 Despite her explanation, some critics aren’t satisfied with her response to the scandals, and continue to call out the YouTuber in wake of her separate replies over two instances that have blown up across social media.

Emma Chamberlain “can’t believe” her Cosmopolitan magazine cover – Dexerto
Emma Chamberlain “can’t believe” her Cosmopolitan magazine cover Popular YouTuber Emma Chamberlain graced the cover of Cosmopolitan magazine on January 7, and has released a video and a tweet explaining how she “can’t believe” the fact that she’s on it. Chamberlain embraced a huge period of growth of her YouTube channel from 2018, and has quickly become one of the most popular names on the platform, earning herself over 8.5 million subscribers. She likely couldn’t have imagined the direction her life would go back then, especially not taking over the cover of international fashion and entertainment magazine Cosmopolitan at just 18 years old. In a video released on January 7, the day of publication, Chamberlain took fans behind the scenes of the shoot and also explained what the accomplishment means to her. “I don’t know why they want me, but I am not mad about it,” she started. “It’s a little weird because I used to read Cosmopolitan every time I was on the plane. I would get a Cosmo in the airport then read it on the plane. I used to do that every time I’d fly so it’s pretty crazy.” She went on to show off her day at the photoshoot, showcasing some of the daring and interesting outfits that she wore throughout the shoot, and giving viewers a rare behind-the-scenes look at the operation of one of the world’s largest print magazines. You can see how much the opportunity means to Emma throughout the video, despite how at ease and comfortable she seems with the shoot despite its overall magnitude. She confirms her gratitude at the end of the video, in which she thanks her viewers for their constant support which got her to the Cosmo cover in the first place. On that same day, she tweeted out her video, captioning it a very simple “I can’t believe this is happening. Thank you.” https://twitter.com/emmachamberlain/status/1214655400399687680 Emma Chamberlain continues to go from strength to strength and this is only further proof that she’s destined for huge things, especially being dubbed “the most popular girl in the world” by Cosmopolitan. If this is anything to go by, then 2020 may just be a huge year for YouTubers breaking into mainstream success, but only time will tell.

Emiru’s Super Mario 64 speedrun ruined by Alinity in comical fashion – Dexerto
Emiru’s Super Mario 64 speedrun ruined by Alinity in comical fashion Emiru/AlinityTwitch streamer Emily ‘Emiru’ Schunk was in the middle of a heated Super Mario 64 speedrun when fellow streamer Natalia ‘Alinity’ Mogollon burst into her room, distracting her, and ending the run in the worst possible way. Emiru has moved into friend and collaborator Mizkif’s streaming house, and the pair have been making tons of content together. The duo even faced off in a Super Mario 64 speedrun competition, with Emiru coming out on top. Emiru, also known for her extensive and impressive cosplay feats, has become renowned on Twitch as an extremely skilled SM64 speedrunner. But, Emiru was streaming her latest speedrun of the N64 game on December 8, when things took a turn for the worse. Alinity interrupts Emiru speedrun Alinity paid a visit to Mizkif’s streaming house, during Emiru’s run, and dropped by her room. Emiru, towards the end of a Super Mario 64 speedrun, was nearing her personal best timing. Alinity ran into the room and exclaimed, “Don’t stop speedrunning! Keep speedrunning!” Alinity noted that she was on her way out from streaming with Mizkif and just wanted to stop by and say hello but her greeting ended up distracting Emiru, who said: “How did it go? I’m in my gamer void, so I don’t know.” In comical fashion, as Emiru chatted to Alinity, she directed Mario directly into lava, killing the run altogether. “Oh wait, I’m trolling, I got distracted! I already threw!” The speedrun ended at 21:29:40, missing out on the chance to beat her personal best. “Oh my God, that could’ve easily been twenty minutes if I didn’t get distracted, and do that s**t at the end! But that means I can get twenty minutes.” She concluded by diverting blame away from Alinity: “No, it’s not Alinity’s fault, I’m just stupid.”

Emiru stunned as fan in Korea gives her an IRL donation in public – Dexerto
Emiru stunned as fan in Korea gives her an IRL donation in public Emiru/TwitchTwitch star Emiru received a gift from an eager fan on the streets of South Korea during a trip with her One True King streaming team including roommate Mizkif. Emiru became one of the fastest-growing streamers on all of Twitch at the end of last year, seeing her average viewership skyrocket to over 10,000, bringing in a lot of new fans. After a massive year on the platform in 2021, she capped it off by joining the streaming organization OTK which she called “everything I ever wanted.” Now, she’s accompanied the org on a trip to South Korea, where she got the chance to meet one of her adoring fans in real life. Emiru gets hand-delivered donation in Korea Mizkif was streaming the OTK crew’s adventures on the streets of South Korea when one young fan approached Emiru specifically. The girl asked for Emiru’s signature, then handed Emiru a real-life donation. Inside the box was 15k won (roughly $10) along with tons of stickers and goodies, all Kirby-themed. Emiru has become known for her love of Kirby, as the room she streams from is jam-packed with dozens of plushies of Nintendo’s pink puff-ball. The OTK streamer couldn’t believe the generosity from the fan and said, “Oh my God. So cute, what the heck!” Mizkif joked, “Is that money?! Ten thousand dollars Emi!” Encountering a fan in real life from a different country was a wild moment for Emiru, and shows just how popular she’s become. This moment has been the highlight of the OTK-SouthKorea trip so far, as the group kicked off their travels with Esfand being rushed to the hospital for a thumb injury that could require surgery. Although their trip was slightly derailed, it was nice to see such a wholesome moment.

Emiru talks about why OTK called out Twitch & Grace Van Dien drama – Dexerto
Emiru talks about why OTK called out Twitch & Grace Van Dien drama Instagram: emiru.jpgTwitch star and OTK co-owner Emiru opened up about the org’s response to Twitch’s branded content drama in an exclusive interview with Dexerto — as well as the backlash surrounding Grace Van Dien’s induction into FaZe Clan. The OTK Games Expo is coming up soon, where co-owner, cosplayer, and Twitch streamer Emiru is slated to make an appearance to discuss the organization’s plans for breaking into the video game biz. After experiencing a breakout year on Twitch back in 2021, she’s gone on to become a massive force in the streaming space… an industry that was recently threatened by Twitch’s (now-defunct) branded content guidelines that sparked concerns from broadcasters all across the net. We got the chance to speak with her about those proposed advertising changes, what it was like being the first woman in OTK, and the drama surrounding Stranger Things actress Grace Van Dien’s FaZe Clan fiasco. Emiru talks Twitch’s “scary” branded content guideline drama When Twitch first rolled out its proposed guidelines for branded content on June 6, streamers all across the platform were left fearing for their income. These changes placed heavy restrictions on what kinds of advertisements would be allowed on the site, forbidding any “burned in” audio, video, and display ads. As a result, a slew of top streamers discussed potentially moving away from Twitch and taking their business elsewhere — sentiments echoed by several key members of OTK. The group even penned an open letter to Twitch asking the company to reconsider those guidelines (which they eventually did, completely removing them just a day later). Dexerto bent Emiru’s ear and asked her how she felt about those two days where the future of streaming seemed uncertain, and what platform she thinks OTK might have gone to if those changes actually went through. “Currently, I think Twitch is the best platform for the kind of content that we do,” she said. “But I mean, wherever is the best place to do our events is where we will go. It was really scary when they announced those changes. I’m glad they rolled them back, because had they gone through with those changes, I don’t think any of our shows would’ve been possible. Even things like charity events.” When asked where she would have taken her own stream if things had gone differently, she had a humorously concise reply: “It’s hard to say. I would want to know what they were offering. I think that’s kinda important.” Emiru discusses Grace Van Dien’s FaZe fiasco It’s no secret that women endure less-than-savory treatment from male players in online games. Even esports aren’t free from harassment, with professional players going as far as making sexist remarks about their opponents after discovering their coach was a woman. So, it should come as no surprise that female streamers are regularly targeted and harassed on Twitch and other livestreaming platforms. And, though certain chatters can be banned if they’re spotted making sexist or inappropriate remarks, it can feel like there’s no escape from it when creating live content in comparison to just recording videos for something like TikTok or YouTube. Stranger Things actress Grace Van Dien notably came under fire from all sides after being announced as FaZe’s latest content creator last month — a trend that was only exacerbated when co-founder FaZe Rain took aim at her with several personal insults. We asked Emiru for her take on the situation, and, although things have improved on Twitch since she started streaming in her opinion “Well, I’ve been a streamer for eight years now, and I have seen over time a lot of positive changes for women in the space,” she said. “Before, it was very difficult to be a female streamer and to be, you know, up there with a lot of the guy streamers. “I think it’s easier now, but it’s sad to see that in a lot of parts of the communities, women still aren’t respected or seen as equal. But I feel pretty lucky that within my org, within my section of Twitch, I don’t really experience that as much. But, it is sad to see things like that and I hope that they improve.” This led to a conversation about Emiru’s personal experiences. And, while things have gotten better now, the things she suffered and the stalking and harassment she experienced has clearly stuck with her. Emiru gets real about what it’s like to be a woman on Twitch Seeing as Emiru is one of Twitch’s biggest streamers with over 1.2 million followers on the site (not to mention her 670k Instagram fans), she’s found a great deal of success within the space. However, being a major streaming sensation isn’t all sunshine and roses. Emiru, like many other female content creators, has had to deal with her fair share of stalkers in the past — so much so, that she had to take a break from streaming to handle the toll it took on her mental health. “I would say pretty much every girl that’s a content creator has a [stalker story], unfortunately,” she said of the situation. “Like, it doesn’t matter how big or small of a streamer you are. It is definitely a big problem for women. I would say like, even male streamers get people like that, but for women it’s very scary.” “I do wish that law enforcement took stalking and threats online more seriously,” she added. “Because all it takes is one person. As for platforms, it kind of feels like for a lot of situations, especially for women, you’re kind of alone on that. A lot of the girls in streaming will like, talk to each other, make communities about what to do about certain situations. But, in terms of the platforms, there’s not a lot they can do, unfortunately.” That said, Emiru has played a huge role in improving conditions for women in the streaming space and has done her best to create a community that welcomes everyone. And, with her joining arguably the biggest streamer-run organization on Twitch, that community has expanded massively. In fact, Emiru was the first woman ever to be signed with OTK, followed by Extra Emily earlier this year. We asked her what it was like being a trailblazer on the platform and the first girl in the group — and she admitted that, although it was a bit intimidating at first, she was “excited and honored” to be part of the star-studded organization. “I was really excited and also honored, because I had known a lot of OTK as friends before,” she said. “There are a lot of creators that I look up to in OTK that I wanted to be more like as a creator, myself. It was kind of a scary and big position to be the first girl, but I was really excited to change my content and improve myself.” Now, Emiru is focusing on growing as a creator and running her own shows within OTK — such as the upcoming Cosplay Clash, which is set to take place sometime this June. But when it comes to the future, the streamer says she isn’t sure where she’ll be five, ten years from now… but she still wants to be doing what she loves. “I would like to still be in the entertainment industry — doing what? I don’t know exactly yet.” For more news on OTK’s Game Expo, check out our page right here on Dexerto.

Emiru’s explosive rise proves Twitch still holds all the cards in YouTube rivalry – Dexerto
Emiru’s explosive rise proves Twitch still holds all the cards in YouTube rivalry Twitch: EmiruEmily ‘Emiru’ Schunk’s rise has been incredible to watch for viewers and fans, but for Twitch her springboard into streaming fame is all-important: for them, it proves they still hold all the cards — for now, at least — in their ongoing rivalry with platforms like YouTube and Facebook. This year may have seen far fewer platform swaps for big-name stars, but the ongoing war between Twitch, YouTube, and Facebook is still going strong. The three video platforms — and Mixer, once upon a time — have been vying for control of one of tech’s biggest markets, streaming, for years. The last 12 months saw YouTube strike major blows, including luring top stars Ludwig, TimTheTatman, and more to their red-branded site. In the end, however, Twitch won the biggest battle. It wasn’t a signing either, but a rise. Emiru exploded into Twitch fame in the tail end of 2021, and delivered the Amazon platform its biggest victory in the process. It’s worth mentioning the 23-year-old isn’t new to Twitch, by any means. She’s been streaming on the website for more than half a decade, slowly racking up followers, views, and a loyal fandom following her exploits. October this year, however, saw her hit new heights. In the half-decade prior to late 2021, the popular variety star has hit highwater marks of around 2,000 viewers in her biggest broadcasts. Sometimes, during her lengthy career on the site, she’d only be streaming to upwards of 600-700 fans, many of whom were watching for League of Legends gameplay. She now boasts six times the viewership, and recently clocked over 612k followers. On top of that, Emiru has more than seven thousand subscribers signed up to her channel following two huge months. The newest Twitch star’s latest stream, a four-hour GeoGuessr broadcast, has already clocked up 220k views too, and that’s a lower haul than her usual. Emiru has quickly become a very popular Twitch name and, in the process, proven Twitch can keep losing stars for years and still stay in the streaming war. The concept is simple — on Twitch, cut off one purple head (in this case, Ludwig, TimTheTatman, DrLupo, Valkyrae, CouRage… the list goes on and on) and two more simply take their place. When Ninja and Shroud left for rich Mixer deals, a new-look generation of streamers simply took their place. The same happened when DrDisrespect copped a shock permanent suspension from the platform. Many followed him, but just as many Twitch fans simply pivoted to other Warzone streamers. Then again when TimTheTatman left too. Two years ago Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter ruled the Twitch roost alongside Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys. Now her place has been taken by Kkatamina, Fuslie, QTCinderella, and TinaKitten. YouTube has major buying power, and by all accounts treats their top streamers far better than Twitch bosses ever have, but the platform’s inability to promote new stars from within is a major negative for the website that will just have to keep paying overs for Twitch’s biggest names. And it all boils down to: Twitch is the number one site for streaming, and retains its reputation around new streamers. If you decided to become a gaming streamer tomorrow, you would set up on Twitch from day one. Sure, there’s outliers picking YouTube or even Facebook Gaming, but Twitch has made itself the destination website for aspiring broadcasters to cut their teeth. Then, the same counts for viewership. When looking for new streamers — like Emiru these past few months — fans dig through Twitch before YouTube or elsewhere. This Dexerto writer has no doubt Emiru would absolutely smash it on YouTube. If they wanted to sign her she’d be a valuable asset to the red-branded video giant. But her steep rise to the very top these past few months never happens on YouTube. It’s been a uniquely Twitch element in streaming’s early years, and stays that way heading into 2022. Emiru is just one example too. Ludwig’s rise, Kkatamina’s explosive fame via her subathon, or even Mizkif’s slow build are all inherently Twitch-related too. This isn’t to say YouTube can’t wade into the new-streamer fight soon enough, but it’s an uphill battle for them right now. Buying is easier than developing, but as they continue to expand their website functions, add more features, and keep getting input from top stars about the best upgrades, things will change in their favor in that regards too. There’s always exceptions to the “rules” too, like ZLaner. The Warzone star has blown up in the streaming world on Facebook, but even that was off the red-and-black shoulders (sorry Zack) of DrDisrespect and his immense Champions Club fandom. Read More: Best streaming moments of 2021: Top 5 Ranked – Right now, Emiru is the perfect reminder — YouTube is buying, but Twitch’s fame means it still holds all the cards in the streaming wars. For now, at least.

Emiru stunned after IWillDominate League compliment completely backfires – Dexerto
Emiru stunned after IWillDominate League compliment completely backfires Emiru, IWDominateOTK streamer Emily ‘Emiru’ Schunk was hosting a League of Legends tournament when she tried to offer event commentator Christian ‘IWDominate’ Rivera a compliment which ended up completely backfiring on her. On March 18, streamer organization One True King hosted a League of Legends tournament with its newest member Emiru at the helm. Tons of star streamers participated in the event including the likes of xQc, Mizkif, Sodapoppin, Sykkuno, and others. For the event, OTK landed a few of League’s most popular commentators to provide play-by-play commentary over the games, including The Jungle host IWDominate. When Emiru attempted to compliment him for his skills on the mic and his standing in the League community, Dom turned the compliment on its head. Emiru’s failed compliment to IWDominate In between matches of the event on March 18, Emiru was chatting with IWDominate and fellow commentator Sanchovies. Emiru commended Rivera: “You are one of the faces of League for me. You just represent what a League player is, what they should be, I think.” Without missing a beat, the 31-year-old streamer responded: “Wow, that’s the worst thing anyone’s ever said to me.” IWDominate continued: “My teammates tell me to end my life and that’s even nicer than what you just said.” The trio of hosts cracked up at Rivera rejecting Emiru’s attempted compliment. League players, in general, don’t have the best track record as the game has been known for having a toxic player base. Although it was a compliment meant in good faith, IWDominate turned it into one of the funnier moments of the night.

Emiru reveals why joining OTK is a dream come true: “Everything I ever wanted” – Dexerto
Emiru reveals why joining OTK is a dream come true: “Everything I ever wanted” Twitch: EmiruTwitch streamer Emily ‘Emiru’ Schunk is the newest member of streaming and esports organization OTK (One True King), run by fellow streamers Mizkif, Asmongold, and more. After joining, she’s explained why it’s such a special moment for her, and exactly what she wanted. Emiru opened up in 2021 about her lack of interaction with other streamers, going viral with an emotional moment as she explained that she had struggled with never being given opportunities to collaborate with other influencers. “No other streamers ask me to do stuff,” she explained. “I was so sad. And I was like, I wish that other streamers would ask me to do stuff. Not even streamers smaller than me ever asked me to do stuff, so it wasn’t even like I only wanted to collab with people of a certain size.” This all changed very quickly, as Emiru moved into Mizkif’s streaming house, which is full of other personalities, and of course, many of whom are members of OTK. This helped her grow rapidly and has now become a member of the organization – a massive turnaround in fortunes in under six months. Emiru joining OTK: “I am so happy” On her stream, Schunk explained why it was so meaningful for her. “I am so happy. I can’t explain how… I didn’t even think it would be like this when I first met OTK and started hanging out with them. “OTK is everything I ever wanted. Both in a friend group, and in like, a career. It gives me purpose in life.” Later in the stream, as it also coincided with her birthday, Emiru was showered by gifts from Mizkif, Alinity, and the rest of her new housemates. She managed to hold back tears at various points, and reflected on her journey to joining the organization, and all the speculation from fans that she was eventually going to join by the end of 2022. Turns out, it was the start of 2022 instead, and now the new year will be a big one for Emiru’s streaming career.

Emiru reveals why she and Mizkif were pulled over by police – Dexerto
Emiru reveals why she and Mizkif were pulled over by police Emiru, MizkifTwitch star Emily ‘Emiru’ Schunk explained why she got pulled over by police while driving around fellow star streamer Matthew ‘Mizkif’ Rinaudo, who in the moment was completely shocked. Emiru and Mizkif have become incredibly close since she moved into Miz’s streaming house. The two have streamed together on Twitch quite often since the move, and Emiru even signed onto Mizkif’s streamer organization One True King in what she called, “everything I ever wanted.” Now, Emiru shared a story about the two hanging out off-stream which led to them being pulled over by the police. Emiru and Mizkif get pulled over by police The streamer and cosplayer was driving with Mizkif when she was signaled to pull over by police. “This cop starts flashing his lights behind me,” Emiru explained, ‘and I was like ‘Oh my God! What did I do, I’m not even speeding this time!’ And as soon as I get pulled over the cops like, ‘Can I see your license and scan the barcode?’, and Miz’s like, ‘Is this stolen car?!’” She then revealed the actual reason she got pulled over by the police officer: “It was because my brake lights were out. I didn’t get a ticket or anything. He was like, ‘Get that s**t fixed.’” Luckily for Emiru she walked away with a mere warning from the officer to get her brake lights fixed, and won’t have to pay the ticket the offense usually brings. Although she got off scot-free, she certainly shocked Mizkif in the process.

Emiru reveals plan to move into Mizkif’s streamer house – Dexerto
Emiru reveals plan to move into Mizkif’s streamer house Instagram: @Mizkif/@EmiruTwitch streamer and cosplayer Emiru has confirmed that she’s planning on moving into Mizkif’s streamer house in the near future. Over the past few weeks, Emiru has become a regular guest in Mizkif’s videos and even appeared in a recent OTK soccer tournament. This has led a lot of viewers to question whether she’s considering joining the network, or if she’s planning on moving into the streamer house. Although it wasn’t confirmed by her, Mizkif uploaded a video to YouTube on October 19 titled ‘Emiru is Moving In…’, where he revealed she enjoyed staying at the house and was considering a move. Now, during a live stream, Emiru has finally revealed her plans and it’s got viewers incredibly excited. Emiru wants to move into Mizkif’s streamer house Despite struggling to find streamers to collaborate with earlier in the year, Emiru’s appearances in Mizkif’s and OTK’s content have led her channel to grow rapidly. After seeing how much fun she was having with the group down in Austin, a lot of viewers wondered whether she was going to move down there permanently. Well, during her October 26 stream, she finally revealed that she’s strongly considering moving into Mizkif’s streaming house. “I’m like 95 percent on moving… besides just like wanting to be around other streamers and liking the people here, I mentioned this before, I’ll probably talk about it more after I move, but currently my house in Kansas, I can’t stay there, I have to move anyway”. Although it’s obvious Emiru hasn’t fully committed to the move just yet, it seems likely that she may be joining the group down in Austin very soon. While she may have only been collaborating with the OTK group for a short period of time, she’s already become hugely popular with the viewers. With so many exciting group streamer events and content opportunities going on down in Austin, it would make a lot of sense for her to move into Mizkif’s house. However, for now, fans will have to sit tight and wait for an official announcement that she’s definitely moving in.

Emiru reveals the “stressful” reason she won’t do IRL Twitch streams – Dexerto
Emiru reveals the “stressful” reason she won’t do IRL Twitch streams YouTube: EmiruTwitch streamer and cosplay star ‘Emiru’ revealed the reasons she won’t be broadcasting in public on her own channel anytime soon. 23-year-old Emily ‘Emiru’ Schunk saw an explosive rise to Twitch fame late last year. In the span of a single month, Schunk skyrocketed from 2,000 viewers per stream to well over six times that amount in October 2021. She now boasts over 740,000 Twitch followers due to her humorous streams and jaw-dropping cosplay skills, and has even signed with major streaming org One True King. Twitch fame does come with its caveats, though, as she brought up in a recent cosplay broadcast. During her stream, a fan asked Emiru if she’d be open to doing any IRL streams — broadcasts where Twitch stars share their travels and daily lives in the real world. Although she’s interested in the concept of IRL streams, it doesn’t look like she will be doing one anytime soon due to some scary experiences with stream snipers in her past. Emiru’s fear of stream snipers keeps her from doing IRL streams “I wish I could do IRL, but I’m too scared of stream snipers,” she admitted. “I have an extreme fear of stream snipers because of the stuff that was happening at my house in Kansas.” “I’m gonna be honest, even before that arcade stream for my birthday and my announcement, I was having an anxiety attack,” she added. “I was like, ‘Oh my god, ‘oh my god!’ I was freaking out.” (Topic begins at 3:25) Emiru moved in with fellow Twitch streamer and OTK member Mizkif after allegedly dealing with a situation involving stalking. Luckily, it seems that everything’s been coming up roses for Emiru now, with the star often collaborating with housemate Mizkif and the rest of the OTK crew. Unfortunately, her Twitch stardom is often the target for some… strange instances, as seen in her hilarious stream going through her most “psychotic” unban requests.

Emiru reveals creepy “grooming” messages from big Twitch streamers when she was in school – Dexerto
Emiru reveals creepy “grooming” messages from big Twitch streamers when she was in school Instagram: emiru.jpgPopular Twitch streamer Emily ‘Emiru’ Schunk revealed during a recent Noodle Shop podcast episode that she received creepy messages from “big Twitch streamers” while she was still in high school. Like many of the top creators on Twitch, Emiru has been streaming for quite some time having begun her career in 2015. Since then, the 24-year-old streamer’s platform has grown to over 20k viewers in 2022, and recently joined fellow OTK members Rich Cambell and Tectone to form the Noodle Shop Podcast. During a recent episode, Emiru revealed that she received “creepy” messages from big Twitch streamers while still in high school that included comments about grooming and other things. Emiru reveals creepy “grooming” messages from Twitch streamers During the Noodle Shop Podcast, the OTK trio was talking about how the Twitch community has evolved over the years to become more welcoming to people of different races, genders, and the like. Emiru quickly chimed in and said: “There’s some sh*t that happened to me that would not f**king fly now at all like people would be f**king canceled if it happened now.” “So like, I started streaming on Twitch when I was 17 so I was in high school. There were multiple big male streamers that found me that were way older than me, like five to ten years older than me,” she explained. “They would make jokes about grooming me and picking me up from school. Schoolbus and prom jokes. Some of the biggest streamers on the platform at the time and nobody cared.” (Topic starts at 51:10 in the video) She went on to explain that others would laugh about it when she brought it up to them, and she would get hate for it. “People would call me a slut and be like ‘Oh you’re a clout chaser,’ even though I never contacted them and never hung out with them when they asked me to.. and they knew that I was in high school,” she added. She didn’t name any of the alleged Twitch streamers, but both Rich Cambell and Tectone agree that her story was “awful” and that they hope the platform continues to get better so things like this don’t happen again.

Emiru reveals how her present from Mizkif ended up in the garbage – Dexerto
Emiru reveals how her present from Mizkif ended up in the garbage Twitch: Emiru/MizkifTwitch streamer Emiru revealed how her Christmas present from Mizkif ended up in the trash can after Cyr came over to watch a movie with the group. On October 27, Emiru revealed plans to move into Mizkif’s streamer house just after the OTK founder ended his relationship with his then-girlfriend, Maya Higa. Since then, the female Twitch streamer has been a part of his live streams as well. After moving in, Emiru started learning how to speed-run Super Mario 64 — eventually beating Mizkif after he challenged her. With the holidays coming up, Emiru revealed during her stream how her present from Mizkif ended up in the garbage can after Cyr came over to watch a movie. Emiru’s Christmas present gets trashed On December 20 during her broadcast, she explained that fellow Twitch streamer Cyr came over to watch a movie with members of the house and ended up cleaning the living room due to how messy it was. While laughing about the situation, she explained: “The present that Mizkif wrapped for me was so poorly wrapped that Cyr thought it was trash and threw it away.” However, the present wasn’t completely lost. She added: “It’s okay, the trash wasn’t taken out yet. Mizkif dug through the trash and fished it out. It was covered in trash juice, so he took the wrap off that he did. Now it’s just wrapped in toilet paper hiding under the tree.” She went on to explain that right after Mizkif took care of the present, he grabbed one of her Kirby toys and started playing with it, which Emiru noted was “even worse.” Since moving into his house, Emiru has had several hilarious interactions with various members of the friend group. On December 14, Alinity left her red-faced after she made an adult joke regarding items they just received.

Formed in October 2020, OTK consists of some of the top streamers on Twitch like Mizkif, Asmongold, JSchlatt, nmplol, and Emiru. Occasionally these creators are recognized out in public, especially when they’re doing IRL streams. When the group asked the waitress who her favorite OTK streamer was, their response was hilarious. Emiru mortified after encountering OTK ‘fan’ During her June 20 Twitch stream, Emiru was talking to chat when she recalled a recent interaction with her waitress at a restaurant. “I was wearing my OTK merch and the waitress came over and was like ‘OMG is that OTK merch? A girl after my own heart.’ and I was like ‘Oh, thank you.’ She looked at me, and there was like no sign of recognition at all,” Emiru revealed. “I was talking to Dave and I was like ‘Does she not know that I’m on OTK?’ What the heck was that?’ So Dave went up to talk to her and asked who she watched in OTK. [She replied to Dave] ‘Oh, OTK? I wanna say Ludwig but like I’m not sure.’” Emiru went on to reveal that the waitress came over to the table and said that she thought Emiru was a Ludwig viewer while the rest of the table are Mizkif viewers, leading them to believe the waitress only knew about OTK because of Ludwig’s YouTube videos with Mizkif. Emiru reveals changes coming to OTK amid sexual assault allegations – Dexerto
Emiru reveals changes coming to OTK amid sexual assault allegations EmiruFollowing accusations accusing OTK co-founder Rich Campbell of sexual assault, Twitch streamer and OTK member Emiru has revealed that changes to the organization are coming. Accusations of sexual assault from Twitch streamer Azalia Lexi against Rich Campbell came to light on December 16 — alleging that he assaulted her in January 2022. Campbell later announced he had been asked to resign from his position within OTK, the organization he helped co-found. The allegations towards Rich come just a few months after the organization placed Mizkif on leave following claims that he covered up sexual assault and made inflammatory comments in Twitter messages. Now, according to Emiru, in light of the recent controversies, ‘good’ changes are coming. Emiru reveals changes are coming following OTK sexual assault allegations In a December 18 live stream, OTK member Emiru, who joined the organization in early 2022, confirmed that internal changes will be made within the organization. While the 24-year-old didn’t reveal much, noting that she can’t talk about much yet, the Emiru claimed that things are going to get better. “There are changes that are coming soon in the next couple of months I really want to talk about but I can’t yet,” she said. “Things are going to get better, that’s all I can say. “But, I mean, I’m glad that I’ve had this talk,” the streamer added. “I mean when you’re the type of streamer that I am, and I just don’t say anything then people are gonna ask and speculate about it forever and come up with their own explanations of what happened. “I just didn’t want that, especially because when it comes to me, when people come up with their own narratives, it’s usually sh**ing on other people being like ‘oh someone must’ve done something to her’ and I just don’t like that.” It’s unclear what internal changes we’ll see from OTK, so for now we’ll just have to wait for an official statement from the org.

Emiru mocks Tyler1 after LoL star bails on streamer showmatch afterparty – Dexerto
Emiru mocks Tyler1 after LoL star bails on streamer showmatch afterparty Twitch: Emiru / Twitch: Tyler1Emily ‘Emiru’ Schunk’s friendly banter on stream calls out Tyler ‘Tyler1’ Steinkamp, who apparently showed no desire to socialize before and after the streamer showmatch. A big portion of streaming culture consists of socializing — streamers network among each other, and typically attempt collaborative content thereafter. So it was a tad shocking for popular streamer Emiru when she ran into Tyler1, who showed no incentive to socialize after the $150,000 MrBeast vs Ninja showmatch. According to Emiru, “everyone was like, Tyler! We’re all going to go hang out, go eat dinner, and go to the casino after. Do you want to come with us?” Tyler1 instantly replied: “Nope. I’m flying out at 8PM. I’m leaving right after this. I am not hanging out. I am going home.” Emiru proceeds to laugh while sharing the anecdote — clearly amused by Tyler1’s confidence in avoiding social interactions. The event participants were some massive names in the streaming industry. MrBeast, Ninja, Ludwig, Mizkif, and many huge League of Legends content creators attended. For any other streamer, they could only dream of networking with these influencers But not Tyler1, he’s just built different. While he doesn’t directly socialize — he has his own ways of interacting with popular personalities. When it comes to calling people out with on-stream rants, Tyler1 has become an absolute master of the art. His incredibly blunt and honest call outs have become iconic. After the event, he called out Ludwig ‘Ludwig’ Ahgren for being absolutely terrible at League of Legends, making for a hilarious back and forth between the two streamers. In regards to Emiru and Tyler1, the two are both immensely successful, but it’s evident that they’re both very different streamers with drastically different practices.

Emiru calls CodeMiko “fake as f**k” as she reacts to statement on Mizkif drama – Dexerto
Emiru calls CodeMiko “fake as f**k” as she reacts to statement on Mizkif drama Returning from her trip to Hawaii, CodeMiko had quite a lot of Twitch drama to catch up on, but her reaction to Emiru’s statement on the Mizkif allegations drew spiteful words from the OTK streamer. On September 15, popular Vtuber and variety streamer CodeMiko went live on Twitch for her first stream since her Hawaiian vacation. And since she was gone for a while, she missed some of the drama that has ensued on Twitch over the past seven days. This included Emiru’s response to the allegations lobbied at Mizkif. Both streamers being a part of OTK and Mizkif seemingly helping Emiru through rough times, Emiru defended Mizkif and denied he had any knowledge of the full story regarding CrazySlick and Adrianah Lee. But Miko was skeptical of whether to not Emiru was being genuine and even paused the response video to make comments. Miko scrunched her nose at one point before stating, “What the heck? What was that? Did [Emiru] just smile? Was that a smile? That was a little weird.” Emiru responds to CodeMiko in Twitch chat Miko would pause the video several more times to either point out a weird facial expression or address her chat and later stated that she wasn’t going to claim whether Emiru was fake crying or not. However, she did question why Emiru was getting involved in the drama instead of ignoring it like Nick ‘Nmplol’ Polom. While Miko continued to react to the clip, Emiru appeared in her chat to call out the streamer. At 3:05:15, Emiru can be seen in chat stating, “what is wrong with you” before following it up with “fake as f**k”. Despite responding to her chat quite frequently during the stream, Miko did not acknowledge the messages from Emiru. Even while her viewers spammed replies to Emiru, Miko ignored them.

Emiru defends Mizkif with emotional response to OTK investigation: “No way he knew” – Dexerto
Emiru defends Mizkif with emotional response to OTK investigation: “No way he knew” EmiruTwitch star Emiru offered a tearful defense of fellow OTK member and housemate Mizkif after he was suspended pending an investigation into his involvement in covering up sexual assault claims against Slick. One True King (OTK) officially placed cofounder Mizkif “on leave” from the org on September 21. The move came as the company hired a third-party investigator to look into his involvement in covering up sexual harassment against his roommate Slick. Now, fellow OTK member and Mizkif’s roommate Emiru openly commented on the situation for the first time and ended up defending Mizkif over the allegations. Emiru emotional during Mizkif defense The 24-year-old streamer went live on September 22 and talked about the Mizkif situation. “You guys know I’ve lived with Miz for ten months and I’ve hung out with him every day since I got here. The Miz that I know would never know the full story and just let that happen. There’s just no way that he knew, I’m sorry. That’s just not the person that I know.” Fighting back tears she finished, “He has always been there for me whenever something horrible happened to me without even having to ask.” Emiru joined OTK in January 2022 and moved into Mizkif’s streamer house, and the pair have been tight ever since both streaming together on Twitch as well as hanging out off-stream. As the two streamers formed a close personal friendship, Emiru couldn’t imagine he’d help cover up a sexual assault.

Emiru & Asmongold reveal the “crazy” reason they began Twitch streaming – Dexerto
Emiru & Asmongold reveal the “crazy” reason they began Twitch streaming Steak and Eggs PodcastTwitch streamers Emiru and Asmongold have shared their stories on why they began their careers in streaming. The content creator spaces of YouTube and Twitch have always been really diverse. There are millions of YouTube channels with more than 1000 subscribers, from educational channels to gameplays to niche hobby sharing or tutorials. And with each channel comes a unique story of how and why they came into a success that became a new career path for many of said creators. During the latest episode of the Steak and Eggs podcast with Tectone, Asmongold and Emiru explained what was the reason they began streaming on Twitch. While there is more to unpack there, the most basic motivator for both of the content creators has been earning money. RELEVANT TIMESTAMP – 1:21:05 Emiru & Asmongold “unironically” started streaming for money It should come as no surprise but when someone chooses a career path for themselves it usually is motivated by a combination of interest, skill, and arguably most importantly the salary. This is pretty much what Asmongold and Emiru confirmed about their streaming careers. “I started Twitch because I wanted money,” bluntly explained Asmongold. “That’s unironically why I started streaming, I was making some money on Youtube but like man, ‘we really have to start making some more money here’ and I started streaming on Twitch, and that’s how it happened.” Emiru tells a similar story of her content creation origins but adds some details that better explain the circumstances. “For me, it was pretty much the same cause I was playing League so much, and I also wanted a job at the time,” explains Emiru. “My friend was like ‘why don’t you just play League on Twitch, like, some people get hundreds or thousands of dollars in donations’, and then I mean it worked out so.” While streaming and content creation often combines a career and a hobby into one thing, it is a career at the end of the day so it comes as no surprise that money earned becomes a big motivating factor. Emiru & Asmongold think “awful” Kick viewers will be detrimental to streamers – Dexerto
Emiru & Asmongold think “awful” Kick viewers will be detrimental to streamers YouTube: Steak and Eggs podcastTwitch streamers Emiru and Asmongold have shared her thoughts on why “awful” chatters on Kick will be detrimental to streamers moving to the up-and-coming platform. Over the last few weeks, Trainwreck’s new streaming platform Kick has gained insane popularity among some of the most popular creators. Adin Ross recently made the switch from Twitch to Kick alongside Train and Corinna Kopf. Many have complained about potentially racist viewers on the platform, and OTK co-owner Emiru says this will be detrimental to streamers unless Kick does something about it. Emiru & Asmongold think “awful” Kick.com chatters will hurt creators During the latest episode of the Steak and Eggs podcast with Asmongold and Tectone, Emiru explained why she believes some chatters on Kick will hurt creators. Before she shared her thoughts, Tectone brought up the recent controversy involving people in Kick chat posting slurs and symbols, calling them “awful.” “I get that people see the appeal of ‘I can do whatever I want, the freedom,’ but I feel like it’s so detrimental to actually building a community because you’re driving so many people away,” so explained. (Topic starts at 8:49 in the video) Asmongold was quick to add his thoughts about the situation as well. He said: “It’s like if you’re a normal person and you go into the chat and just a bunch of [hateful symbols], A lot of people are going to see this and go somewhere else. “There is a big audience for this, though. Edgy 17-year-olds are going to f*cking love it. That’s where they’re going to get their viewers.” For more entertainment news and other viral stories, head over to our hub.

Emily Zugay’s profile picture redesigned in viral TikTok video – Dexerto
Emily Zugay’s profile picture redesigned in viral TikTok video TikTok: @EmilyZugay/@_ItsNateAfter Emily Zugay left a comment on fellow TikToker _itsnate’s video, he took the chance to redesign her profile picture as she has done to many other brands. The best part? He’s colorblind. Emily Zugay first went viral back in September 2021, when she used her design skills to create “ugly” versions of big-brand logos. As her videos gained popularity, brands like McDonald’s, Tinder, and TikTok used her work on their official social media pages. The Detroit Lions even made her design into merchandise that they sold in their team shop and hired her to help market it. Now, Emily is getting a taste of logo redesign after an interaction with fellow TikToker ‘_itsnate’ led to him recreating her profile picture. _itsnate redesigns Emily Zugay’s profile picture With almost six million followers, it’s not uncommon for Nate to have a video or two go viral. On December 12, Emily commented on her fellow TikToker’s video that has over 14 million views: “I hate it here.” Her comment gave Nate the idea to do what she’s known for and create his own ‘ugly’ version of the profile picture she was using. Uploaded on December 15, Nate explained his thought process: “I noticed your profile picture is a little outdated so I decided to make a new one for you myself. I don’t have Photoshop so I used the next best thing which is Snapchat. “I first covered my thumb to make a solid colored background, then I drew a stick figure of you that I think accurately represents you. I even got the blonde hair, or at least I think it’s blonde because I’m colorblind.” (Click here if TikTok doesn’t load) He continued to explain the design some more: “I then proceeded to add the cowboy hat that you have in your profile picture because I think it adds personality. I also added your comment ‘I hate it here’ to the hat and it seals the deal. Some people call me an artist, I like to call myself an interpretive architect.” Emily responded shortly after the video was posted, and said: “I don’t forgive you for your video but this is too beautiful to pass up on.”

Eminem releases ‘Mom’s Spaghetti’ sauce but fans are torn on it – Dexerto
Eminem releases ‘Mom’s Spaghetti’ sauce but fans are torn on it Instagram: @eminemEminem has announced that he’ll be releasing Mom’s Spaghetti pasta sauce, reminiscent of possibility his most famous lyric, but not everyone is convinced by it. When fans think of Eminem, Slim Shady’s Lose Yourself is often the first song that pops to mind. Now, two decades after its release, Eminem is still profiting from the success of the iconic track. In his most recent venture, he’s decided to release a Mom’s Spaghetti pasta sauce. According to the rapper’s website, it’s meant to taste like “Leftover sauce the first time around.” Eminem had a mission to create a “Clean take on classic jar sauce…not saddled with nonsense.” It’s packed with lots of goodness, including carrots, onion, garlic, tomatoes, canola oil, red wine vinegar, and plenty of spices. Fans reception to Eminem’s Mom’s Spaghetti sauce The release of Eminem’s Mom’s Spaghetti sauce has seen many excited fans clamoring to pick up a jar. This meant that the first round was completely sold out, but they’ll be restocking with a fresh batch. In a TikTok post advertising the pasta sauce, fans commented on their enthusiasm. One said that it was a great “Novelty item”, that was “Perfect for collecting.” But, is this where the sales numbers really lie? Others said that they’d tried the sauce, and that it was “Meh at best.” Most comments, however, were directed towards the item’s price. One said, “13 (dollars) gotta be the best sauce ever.” Another concurred, “That is cute but no way I’m paying for it.” However, with the sauce still sold out on the website, it’s clear that it’s more than popular with fans. Mom’s Spaghetti isn’t the only strange food item making its rounds in November. Baskin-Robins have announced the sale of their turkey dinner inspired ice cream.

Myers first went mega-viral back in 2021 with a story about her horrible first date at Taco Bell, and has followed it up with a variety of content since then. On top of her comedic videos, Elyse was one of the biggest mental health advocates on TikTok with over 7M followers before wiping her channel clean in Spring 2024. The exact reason behind her hiatus is unknown, but fans believe it’s due to her getting harassed in the comments of her videos. On top of that, she had just revealed her newborn son was facing major health issues. “Taking a break from this app. I’ll see you when I see you,” reads her TikTok bio. The comedian has maintained an upload schedule on YouTube despite her hiatus, and started using Threads in July 2024, but her Instagram and TikTok have remained empty. Many are wondering if this marks Elyse’s return to Instagram, but the content creator hasn’t made her intentions clear. As of writing, her TikTok channel remains empty.

Emilia Clarke’s food challenge with Jacksepticeye goes epically wrong – Dexerto
Emilia Clarke’s food challenge with Jacksepticeye goes epically wrong Instagram: emilia_clarke / jacksepticeyeGame of Thrones actress Emilia Clarke fell out of her seat while taking on the Beanboozled jelly bean challenge with Twitch streamer Seán ‘Jacksepticeye’ McLoughlin. Clearly there weren’t any foul-tasting jelly beans in Westeros, where Clarke portrayed Danaerys Targaryen in the HBO smash hit Game of Thrones, which ended back in May 2019. In an appearance on Jackscepticeye’s Twitch channel though, the “Mother of Dragons” came across the disgusting Beenboozled game, which offers candy which comes in two different flavors – one which is lovely, and one that is absolutely disgusting! Emilia Clarke teamed up with Jackscepticeye, who dressed up as her co-star Kit Harrington. With the Irishman holding the box of beans, a concerned-looking Clarke dipped her hand in, and pulled out a pinkish piece of candy, holding it up and announcing that it was either “Strawberry banana smoothie or dead fish.” After trying to smell it to see if it gave off a whiff on what it could be, the actress popped it into her mouth, but it quickly became obvious which version of the candy she had got, with an expression of horror coming over her face as she spat it out, and slid off the sofa in anguish. “That’s really disgusting guys,” Clarke mumbled into the microphone as she lay on the floor. “That’s really gross.” There wasn’t much sympathy from her YouTuber partner though, who immediately claimed she was dead! After her hilarious trip to the floor, Clarke got up just in time to laugh along with the Irishman, who was begging the stream director not to give fans a wide-angle shot of his Jon Snow costume. Emilia and Jacksepticeye were teaming up to raise money for the actress’ charity SameYou, an organization started by the actress to raise funds and help increase neuro-rehabilitation access following brain injuries and stroke, with the 32-year-old revealing she suffered from two aneurysms. The stream was a resounding success, with the pair raising over $260,000 in their four-hour stream.

Elsy Guevara reveals why she hid her pregnancy in emotional video – Dexerto
Elsy Guevara reveals why she hid her pregnancy in emotional video Elsy Guevara, YouTubeInstagram star and YouTube vlogger Elsy Guevara has finally come clean about her pregnancy, after a long period of hiding her condition from fans despite their concerns about her odd behavior on social media. Guevara boasts a huge audience on Instagram, garnering over 1.1 million followers on the platform, as well as amassing 220k subscribers on YouTube. Considering her popularity, it comes as little surprise that fans picked up on her unusual behavior in past months, which prompted a soul-bearing vlog on February 19 explaining her distant attitude as of late. Through tears, Guevara confirmed fan speculation that she is, indeed, pregnant, and addressed why she hadn’t broken the news sooner. According to the model, the first few months of her pregnancy has been “hell,” with issues in her personal life conflicting with her desire to share a “happy” and “exciting” announcement to her viewers. “There have been a lot of reasons why I’ve been hiding my pregnancy,” she revealed. “To start off with, my whole 3-4 months of my pregnancy, it’s been completely hell. Just because there has been so much going on. …obviously, I wasn’t in the right state of mind to come out and say, ‘Oh, I’m pregnant!’” That’s not all: Guevara also touched on accusations from fans who claimed she is “ashamed” of her condition and even covering up her baby bump, revealing that she’s been receiving “disturbing” messages from hateful trolls online. “It’s been extremely tough trying to stay positive,” she continued. “Especially because I’m very, very emotional. …there has been so much negativity on social media because I’ve been ‘hiding’ my pregnancy or because I’ve been ‘ashamed’ of my pregnancy.” The social media star’s emotional video has since gone viral, standing at the top spot on YouTube’s trending page with over 1.9 million views at the time of writing. Overall, fans have been supportive of Guevara’s decision to share the news with her community, congratulating her on the good news and offering advice on dealing with online negativity. In spite of the drama, it seems that the model is holding her head high as she enters motherhood in front of the camera — a daunting decision for any new mother to make in the modern age.

Elvis fans rage as tourist jumps into pool at his iconic Graceland mansion – Dexerto
Elvis fans rage as tourist jumps into pool at his iconic Graceland mansion TikTok: nannyxmurphy1A British tourist has sparked outrage after jumping into the pool at Elvis Presley’s iconic Graceland mansion — despite signs warning fans to stay out. Elvis Presley is one of the most prolific American stars of all time. Known for historic musical hits like ‘All Shook Up’ and ‘Hound Dog,’ Presley was also an actor who shook up society in the 50’s thanks to his hip-swinging performances that drove fans wild. Presley continued to be an icon of American culture until his death in 1977. His unmatchable style, his many musical hits, and numerous films have rendered him an immortal celebrity who continues to shape culture thanks to works like Baz Luhrmann’s Oscar-nominated film ‘Elvis.’ Elvis fans are still rockin’ far and wide, and many even travel to tour the star’s Graceland home in Memphis, Tennessee — but one fan in particular is sparking backlash online for what they did at the mansion. Tourist sparks outrage after jumping in Elvis Presley’s pool Earlier this year, a TikToker by the name ‘nannyxmurphy1’ uploaded a video showing her hubby jumping into the pool at Elvis’s home in Graceland. It’s hard not to notice the gate preventing tourists from entering the pool area — not to mention the sign posted on it that reads, “Restricted area, do not enter.” The TikToker’s hubby decided to go for a plunge, anyway, much to the apparent dismay of a nearby security guard who was too far away to prevent him from diving in. Commenters were left divided about the video, which has since racked up over 14 million views on TikTok. “How is this funny?” one user asked. “People are so disrespectful and I hope he got arrested.” “It’s people that do stuff like this that ruin attractions that are open to the public, and then people wonder why certain things get taken away,” another pointed out. “Cool. Now it will be blocked off to the general public to see,” yet another said. However, other commenters are arguing in favor of the man, with one user saying: “I think Elvis would say, ‘Finally, someone used the pool!” “What he did was worth it,” another commenter said. “Haha, bet not many can say they took a dip in Elvis Presley’s pool!” Murphy later posted a follow-up video showing herself and her hubby getting escorted off the premises directly after the incident, with her husband saying, “Make me famous,” and Murphy replying, “You will [be].” She also replied to one angry commenter who hoped her partner would “get arrested.” “No, it’s not disrespectful to jump into a pool,” she argued back. “Elvis caught someone jumping into his pool once and he never stopped him. Never got them arrested. [He] told them to stay in the pool.” “That’s what a pool is meant for, is to jump into. …we did get escorted, because they didn’t want anyone else to get the idea to jump into it. And we weren’t banned. How is that disrespectful? By the way, we love Elvis.” This is far from the first time a TikToker has come under fire for their actions abroad. Recently, a man was met with major backlash on the app for walking through a women’s-only train in Japan.

Elon Musk wins Twitter again with The Mandalorian Baby Yoda meme – Dexerto
Elon Musk wins Twitter again with The Mandalorian Baby Yoda meme Tesla CEO and tech billionaire Elon Musk proved his meme game is strong when his Star Wars post about Baby Yoda from The Mandalorian went viral. Star Wars fever is at an all time high as the latest film Rise of Skywalker drops on December 20, and the internet can’t stop gushing over Baby Yoda from the hit show The Mandalorian. The bite-sized character has become wildly popular online, and Tesla’s CEO won over the Twitter community with his viral meme about him. Elon Musk wins the internet with Baby Yoda meme Elon Musk is not new to meme culture as he hosted PewDiePie’s Meme Review in February, and hilariously explained the science of the viral jokes on his social media. However, the tech billionaire showed that he’s still got it when he professed his love for the tiny Star Wars character on Twitter with a perfect meme that had everyone going wild. Combining two viral screenshots from the show, the CEO had The Mandalorian protagonist and Baby Yoda discovering the true love between two brothers. Yoda originally made his debut in The Empire Strikes Back which was released 1980. The Jedi Master mentors protagonist Luke Skywalker, and has become an iconic character in pop culture. However, his popularity exploded again in 2019 after The Mandalorian – a show on Disney+ – re-imagined the character in his younger years, and made the programme a hit. Baby Yoda quickly became the center of many memes, and Elon Musk took the crown with his viral post that had his millions of followers in stitches. The Mandalorian can currently be watched on Disney’s streaming service. The series wraps up on December 27, with the first season only having eight episodes. Regardless of what the next major meme is to blow up, you can expect Elon Musk to show everyone else how its done.

Elon says “Zuck v Musk” fight will be streamed on Twitter – Dexerto
Elon says “Zuck v Musk” fight will be streamed on Twitter Instagram: Elon Musk/Mark ZuckerbergElon Musk said that a fight between him and Mark Zuckerberg will be streamed on Twitter, which he recently rebranded to X. Speculation around a fight between two of the most famous tech billionaires in the world began when Elon challenged Zuckerberg to a cage fight, after both of them posted gym pics of them training. Mark Zuckerberg hasn’t engaged with any of the speculation around the fight with Elon beyond jokes, and there’s no official confirmation that the fight is actually going ahead apart from Elon’s posts. Nevertheless, the richest man in the world seems set on making the fight a reality. Elon Musk says he’s training hard for fight with Zuckerberg In one tweet, which quickly went viral thanks to his 151 million followers, Musk said: “Zuck v Musk fight will be live-streamed on 𝕏. All proceeds will go to charity for veterans.” In another post, Elon claimed that he was training for the fight vigorously, saying: “I’m lifting weights throughout the day, preparing for the fight. Don’t have time to work out, so I just bring them to work. Elon rebranded Twitter to X after taking over the company, and since then he’s made a big push to promote more video content on the platform. He’s made it possible to upload hour-long videos and even used it to launch a presidential candidate. However, we’ve yet to see the branding of “X” properly replace Twitter as the cultural touchstone for the platform. Maybe a huge fight on the site could change that. For more news and updates on a potential fight between Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg, check out Jake Paul’s 100-million-dollar offer to make it happen.

Elon Musk terminates agreement to buy Twitter – Dexerto
Elon Musk terminates agreement to buy Twitter Elon MuskTesla Founder Elon Musk has revealed that he’s terminating his agreement to purchase Twitter, just hours after a report surfaced stating the deal was in “serious jeopardy.” In a report from Reuters, it has been revealed that Elon Musk’s Twitter deal has officially been terminated. Original story below… In April 2022, Elon Musk landed a monumental deal to purchase Twitter outright for a whopping $44 billion. The transaction caused an uproar on the social media platform, where “Leave Twitter” trended for an entire day after the announcement. Although this was approved by Twitter’s board of directors, a new report speculates the deal will not go down as originally planned. Elon Musk Twitter deal in “jeopardy” On July 7, The Washington Post reported that the PayPal founder may not end up obtaining the social media giant after all. The deal has had growing speculation around it since Elon Musk and his team requested data about spam accounts on the website. “Musk’s camp concluded that Twitter’s figures on spam accounts are not verifiable,” WaPo said. “Musk’s team’s doubts about the spam figures signal they believe they do not have enough information to evaluate Twitter’s prospects as a business,” the report suggested. Elon and his team’s increasing doubt about the spam accounts have led them to “stop engaging in certain discussions around funding for the $44 billion deal.” Since the billionaire offered to acquire the company at $54.20 a share, the stock prices have dropped drastically – all the way down to below $37. The newly released details suggest that this is another major reason Musk could try to pull back from the deal, a situation that would be a complicated legal matter if Musk attempts to pull the plug entirely.

Elon Musk’s viral doppelgänger fights fake Mark Zuckerberg ahead of the real thing TikTok: yilingmaTwitter CEO, Elon Musk’s doppelgänger has made the internet’s dream come true, as he faces off with an imposter Mark Zuckerberg, teasing audiences with a preview of Zuck vs Musk’s cage match. The tension between Elon and Mark Zuckerberg has been heating up, the now-CEO of Twitter has sued Mark’s Threads for stealing data from Twitter, owing to similar features between the two. Their fight started long back as they constantly call each other out in subtle or obvious ways on social media. The CEOs collaborated in September 2016 when Zuckerberg’s $200 million satellite exploded in a pre-launch incident, in one of Elon’s SpaceX rockets. Mark tweeted and expressed his disappointment as he said, “SpaceX’s launch failure destroyed our satellite.” Ever since, Musk and Zuckerberg have taken jabs at each other, eventually leading to the cage match. TikToker teases Zuck vs Musk cage fight Comedian TikToker Yiling Ma has posted four clips on the platform of him facing off with a fake Mark with regards to the speculated cage match between the CEOs. Yiling, Elon’s lookalike, was donning a pair of boxing gloves as he showcased how Musk would face off with Mark as he punched him, and locked him up. He wanted viewers to see the fight between him and Zuckerbox, who was a man with a box in his head. The doppelgänger was screaming and said, “Challenge Zuckerberg! Wow!” The TikTok has been watched over nine million times already with fans getting a teaser of the supposed cage fight that the CEOs will probably get into. Elon had expressed his desire to meet Yiling, who can also turn out to be an elaborate deepfake. Although the fight is unlikely to happen, both Musk and Zuckerberg have agreed to it.

Elon Musk’s next step as Twitter CEO might be removing inactive accounts in near future – Dexerto
Elon Musk’s next step as Twitter CEO might be removing inactive accounts in near future PixabayNew Twitter CEO Elon Musk might be planning on removing inactive Twitter accounts and making the removed handles accessible to other users in the near future. Despite rumors circulating for months, it was finally confirmed just days ago that Elon Musk is now the official owner of Twitter. Since taking over, it appears that the new CEO is wasting no time in changing up the social media platform. As well some other big changes, it appears that the owner is looking at ensuring that all accounts on the platform are active and that old or unused Twitter accounts are deactivated. Twitter user Erich Rusch tweeted at Musk, requesting that inactive accounts should be removed from the platform, their Twitter handles being back up for grabs. “Please purge all inactive accounts,” began Rusch. “There are so many inactives sitting on excellent Twitter handles. Rule should be: If you have been inactive for more than a year, you have 30 days to log in. If not, account gets deleted.” Musk responded “definitely” to the post, implying that this idea is something that he could be exploring – or plan on exploring – in the future. However, Twitter users are already pointing out some potential flaws with this idea. Twitter users share their concerns about making accounts inactive One user responded to Musk and asked “what about the accounts of people who have passed away?” Many others have similarly reiterated this concern. Even voicing the idea of having “memorial” accounts for this specific reason. However, this isn’t the only big change that Musk is planning for the social media platform. There are already reports that Musk is planning on changing up Twitter verification to turn the big blue tick into a feature of a new paid subscription service. As well as this, Musk has even teased the return of Vine. Musk is yet to comment further on the removal of inactive accounts. We’ll be sure to keep you updated if there are any updates to the story.

Elon Musk’s Starlink v2 will help IRL Twitch streamers, but there’s a catch – Dexerto
Elon Musk’s Starlink v2 will help IRL Twitch streamers, but there’s a catch Elon Musk/StarlinkElon Musk has revealed that the next version of Starlink will connect straight to mobile devices, which will help IRL Twitch streamers stay connected in the future. However, there’s one problem. Launched in 2019 by Elon Musk and his team, Starlink offers high-speed satellite internet to a wide variety of users around the world. It especially has come in handy to those in more rural areas of the US, or in countries where high-speed broadband or fiber internet speeds aren’t available. In a recent tweet, Elon Musk revealed that the next version of Starlink will be able to connect directly to mobile phones, reducing the chance of entering a “dead zone,” where users have no cell phone reception. This will also help IRL streamers on Twitch in the future, but a second tweet posted by Musk reveals that streamers will have till after launch for its full effect. Starlink V2 will help IRL Twitch streamers in the future One of the hardest things to accomplish when IRL live-streaming is making sure that you are constantly connected to the internet. Many large-scale IRL streamers on Twitch use specialized backpacks outfitted with a computer and mobile hotspot for their streams. Yet, the platform’s mobile app provides users with the ability to broadcast straight from their phone without any specialized equipment which is perfect for many users. Elon Musk’s Starlink V2 will help those streamers stay connected in the future. A second tweet from the Tesla founder reveals that it won’t support the bandwidth required to have a high-quality live stream when it initially launches. Note, connectivity will be 2 to 4 Mbits per cell zone, so will work great for texting & voice calls, but not high bandwidth — Elon Musk (@elonmusk) August 26, 2022 In the tweet, Elon reveals that Starlink v2 will only have internet speeds between two and four megabits at the time of launch. According to Restream.io, the ideal internet speeds for a Twitch stream at 720p resolution and 30fps require a 5 connection to properly stream, with that number rising the higher quality you attempt to make the stream. However, it’s safe to assume that after the product’s official launch, the speeds provided by Starlink will be much higher — giving Twitch streamers the ability to IRL stream without the worry of losing connection.

Elon Musk wants YouTubers to move to Twitter for 10% more pay – Dexerto
Elon Musk wants YouTubers to move to Twitter for 10% more pay YouTube: PewDiePie, LudwigTranscripts from a staff Q&A revealed that Elon Musk told Twitter employees to convince high-profile YouTubers to join his social platform with a 10% pay increase incentive as the streaming wars rage on. Twitter is now in Elon Musk’s hands after his months’ long purchase, fraught with drama, finally concluded in late October. Musk quickly implemented new changes to the platform, the most notable among them tweaks to its verification system, which now allows anyone to purchase a checkmark for $7.99 a month via Twitter Blue subscriptions. Although several top-tier influencers have complained about these changes, Musk reportedly wants to bring YouTubers over to the platform amid conversations about increasing video length on the site. In transcripts provided by the Verge from a Thursday staff Q&A at Twitter, Musk proposed changes to the platform’s video features, theorizing that creators would have more incentive to post directly to Twitter if they could post their entire videos, rather than linking out to their content on YouTube. Musk asks Twitter employees to convince YouTubers to join platform “Provided they are able to post their video on Twitter and monetize the video at least to the same degree as on YouTube, then naturally, they would just post their video on Twitter as well,” Musk said during the call. “But right now, content creators cannot post the length of video that they would like to post and they cannot monetize it, which means they cannot pay the bills.” That’s not all; in the transcript, Musk also proposed approaching YouTubers with exclusive contracts to upload content on Twitter with a 10% pay increase from their current deals. “Let’s just get a bunch of content creators that we think are cool on YouTube and say, ‘Hey, would you consider putting your content on Twitter, and we’ll pay you 10% more than YouTube and see how it goes?’” Musk continued. “Please do it. Let’s take action … So if you can do it after this meeting, I would do it after this meeting.” For now, it’s unclear where the future of Twitter’s video content lies — but Musk is clearly interested in implementing a creator-focused approach as he continues to tweak the site. This news follows the re-implementation of the site’s “official” status for previously verified members, which Musk had initially rolled back after implementing his Twitter Blue verification subscription method.

Elon Musk under fire for inflammatory comments on crediting artists – Dexerto
Elon Musk under fire for inflammatory comments on crediting artists EversorAIt’s no secret that Tesla CEO and tech millionaire Elon Musk is an avid fan of anime and video games, following his appearance at E3 2019 – but the beloved eccentric is garnering a mass amount of backlash, after posting an artist’s work to Twitter without proper credit. Musk posted artwork of Nier: Automata’s 2B on June 15, simply captioned: “2B.” Fans were quick to point out that he’d reposted the image without crediting artist ‘Meli Melo,’ prompting a slew of comments from Musk about “credit” that are leaving a bitter taste in the mouths of fans and critics alike. 500https://twitter.com/Homo_Cakes/status/1140086510986977280 When asked to credit the artwork, Elon replied with a simple, “no,” later elaborating that “no one will ever find out who it was,” when further pressed on the subject. “I wish people would stop crediting artists on Twitter when any fool can find out who the artist was in seconds,” Musk wrote in a now-deleted Tweet. “It’s destroying the medium.” That’s not all; Musk went even further on the topic, writing, “…the constant credit crowd are damaging the ethics of the internet. And if they don’t like me, too bad.” 500https://twitter.com/SaintWasHere/status/1140093242769387525 Musk’s statements on proper credit are inciting outrage across the internet, with users decrying his thoughts on the matter as art theft. “This isn’t cute,” Twitter user SymphWave wrote of the debacle. “This is perpetuating a cycle of artists working super hard on something, only to have their hard work snatched and used for easy likes and retweets. Just because you’re rich and famous doesn’t mean you’re exempt from this bullshit, asshole.” This isn’t cute. This wouldn’t be the first time Musk’s Twitter antics have gotten him in trouble, by far: Musk was made to step down as chair of Tesla in September 2018, after divulging a bit too much information to the social media platform.

Elon Musk urged to buy YouTube after calling out “scam ads” WikimediaCommons: JD LasicaTesla founder Elon Musk is being urged to buy YouTube after posting a tweet where he called out the video platform for displaying “nonstop scam ads.” In early April 2022, Elon Musk revealed that he made a rather large investment in Twitter to the tune of three billion dollars. Just a few weeks later, it was revealed that Elon had come to a tentative agreement to purchase the company for a whopping $44b. Since then, fans have wanted the Tesla founder to purchase other platforms as well — including Alinity, who called for Musk to purchase Twitch and release the reasoning behind Dr Disrespect’s ban. Now after Elon posted a tweet calling out YouTube for “nonstop scam ads,” fans are urging the billionaire to purchase the Google-owned platform. Fans urge Elon Musk to buy YouTube Minutes after his tweet was posted, fans took to the replies urging him to purchase the Google-owned platform. One user posted a screenshot that they hid behind the website’s sensitive content censor that reads “buy YouTube,” with the caption: “Here’s a solution.” While another user had a more thought-out process behind their idea to buy YouTube that includes better management and “free speech.” They said: “Totally. You should buy it and install some real management that supports free speech and knows how to lead engineering teams to identify and stop scams.” Totally. If the deal does fall through, perhaps Snoop Dogg will take over the platform.

Elon Musk thinks Twitter’s new NFT profile picture tool is “annoying” – Dexerto
Elon Musk thinks Twitter’s new NFT profile picture tool is “annoying” JD Lasica, Wikimedia Commons / Twitter / Yuga Labs, 101 Bored Ape Yacht ClubTesla CEO Elon Musk has thrown in his two cents regarding Twitter’s new NFT profile picture option — and it doesn’t look like he’s a big fan. On January 13, Twitter announced that it would be rolling out a new feature that allows NFT owners the chance to flex their exclusive digital tokens in their profile pictures. The tool lets NFT owners show verifiable proof of ownership with a hexagonal image frame, effectively dashing the hopes and memes of right-click-and-saving internet trolls. Although the feature is locked into the Twitter Blue subscription service, the news spread like wildfire across social media, earning some enthusiasm and backlash from NFT owners and haters. Elon Musk slams Twitter’s new NFT profile pictures Despite his status as CEO of one of the most profitable tech companies out there, Elon Musk isn’t exactly a fan of Twitter’s new NFT profile image protection tool. Instead, it seems like Musk wants the platform to take action against scammers and spam bots, rather than spending time on protecting NFT owners. “This is annoying,” he wrote in a January 21 Twitter post commenting on the new tool. “Twitter is spending engineering resources on this bs while crypto scammers are throwing a spambot block party in every thread!?” he added. Twitter is spending engineering resources on this bs while crypto scammers are throwing a spambot block party in every thread!? — Elon Musk (@elonmusk) January 21, 2022 Twitter’s latest feature has already experienced issues, too; one user pointed out that anyone using Twitter Blue can simply screenshot an existing NFT and set it as their profile picture. Apparently, the tool works with any NFT in one’s collection — not just verified tokens, meaning that “someone can just right-click-save any NFT, mint it, and then use it as their PFP.” There’s actually a MAJOR PROBLEM with the new Twitter PFP feature. It appears to work for ANY NFT in your collection. Not just verified collections. That means someone can just right-click-save any NFT, mint it, and then use it as their PFP 😢 You were so close Twitter. Why 😭 — Adam Hollander (@HollanderAdam) January 20, 2022 Musk’s comments come on the tail of ongoing debate surrounding the NFT profile image boom, although there’s no telling if Twitter will change up its newly-released feature to combat this issue or not. For now, it looks like Elon has a potential date with Jake Paul in space. Wonder if they’ll make an NFT out of that?

Elon Musk under fire for sharing bizarre X advert using artist’s work without credit – Dexerto
Elon Musk under fire for sharing bizarre X advert using artist’s work without credit YouTube: TEDX owner Elon Musk is getting roasted for reposting an unusual advert for the social media platform online. Internet sleuths discovered it was made using an After Effects template that the tech billionaire (or the fan account he reposted from) didn’t credit the artist for. Elon Musk’s conversion of Twitter to X has been a bit of an odd journey, to say the least. Recent reports indicated that the company is now worth 70% less than when Musk bought it. Advertiser boycotts and personal feuds in which Musk told Disney CEO Bob Iger to “go f**k himself” can’t have helped. In what might be an effort to counteract the reported loss in value, Musk recently announced plans for paid live streaming on X. A move which proponents of the tech giant praised. One thing nobody can seem to muster up any positivity about, however, is the strangely low-budget advert for X that Musk reposted to his account earlier today. To make matters worse, it appears that it was created using an uncredited free After Effects template for which the creator only asks that they be shouted out when used. Responses to the initial post were an all-out roasting of the video from users. “Looks like an early 2000 bowling alley strike animation,” one user said. “You need to immediately fire whoever is making these 2012 movie maker effects,” replied another. Of course, Musk can’t fire someone who doesn’t work for his company. The original post comes from an account called Tesla Owners Silicon Valley which describes itself as “the most notorious Tesla club in the world”. Washington Post Games Reporter Gene Park soon posted on X with the source of the animation. It turns out it was a free After Effects template made by a YouTube creator called EnzeeFX. EnzeeFX offers thousands of templates for less tech-savvy content creators and gives them away for free. The only thing they ask for in return is to “credit us” which neither Musk nor the Tesla fan club that originally posted their work did. The whole situation is a bit odd given that most people in Musk’s replies don’t seem to recognise that he didn’t commission the creation of the ad. Their ire might be better directed at Tesla Owners Silicon Valley who among other crimes, paid for verification.

Elon Musk tells Joe Rogan why he stopped building “Iron Man” dream house – Dexerto
Elon Musk tells Joe Rogan why he stopped building “Iron Man” dream house YouTube: PowerfulJRE / Disney / MarvelDuring the May 7 episode of the Joe Rogan Experience podcast, tech billionaire and Tesla CEO Elon Musk revealed why he had to stop building his “Iron Man” inspired dream house. Elon Musk made his return to Joe Rogan’s podcast, where he talked about a wide variety of topics from world events to his highly ambitious brain implant called ‘Neuralink.’ The UFC commentator was blown away when the CEO revealed that his “dream house” was inspired by Marvel’s Iron Man. The tech giant, however, explained why he had to stop building it. Related – Shroud: The World’s Most Naturally Gifted Gamer? Elon Musk’s “Iron Man” house During the podcast, the billionaire opened up about his Iron Man influenced house.”What’s a dream house for Elon Musk? Some Tony Stark type s**t?” the podcast host asked. “Yeah, definitely,” he replied. Continuing, the Tesla CEO exclaimed, “Yeah, you got to have the dome that opens up with the stealth helicopter!” Laughing, the UFC commentator exclaimed “Yeah. F**k yeah!” However, the tech giant then revealed he had actually considered building it, and why he had to stop working on the property. “But then I was like “Does it really make sense to spend time designing, and building a house? Or should I be allocating that time getting us to Mars. What’s more important, Mars or a house? Mars. Okay,” he said. “You can only do so many things.” (Timestamp 13:33 for mobile users.) This isn’t the first time he’s talked about his property plans. On May, 1 the tech billionaire made waves when he posted on Twitter that he was going to get rid of his home and material things. “I am selling almost all physical possessions. I will own no house,” he tweeted. I am selling almost all physical possessions. Will own no house. — Elon Musk (@elonmusk) May 1, 2020 Musk confirmed on the podcast that he was serious about the tweets, stating that he was “sad about it” but would start renting a place instead. Further explaining the decision, the Tesla CEO said that people were defining him by his wealth, and using it to attack him. “I think possessions kind of weigh you down. They are kind of an attack factor. People say “Hey billionaire, you got all this stuff” well, now I don’t have stuff, so what you gonna do? In recent years “billionaire” has become a bad thing.” While Elon Musk’s Iron Man style house sounded absolutely incredible, it’s hard to fault the guy for abandoning the project to instead focus on space exploration. This marks the second time the Tesla creator has been on the Joe Rogan Experience, as the billionaire’s first appearance was in September 2018.

Elon Musk Thinks Real Life Matrix is Possible and Smokes Weed on ‘Joe Rogan Experience’ – Dexerto
Elon Musk Thinks Real Life Matrix is Possible and Smokes Weed on ‘Joe Rogan Experience’ Tesla Motors founder and tech billionaire Elon Musk sat down on ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ to share an interesting take on social media and technology – and smoked a blunt, too. Joe Rogan, host of his podcast ‘The Joe Rogan Experience,’ discussed a plethora of topics with Elon Musk, including the idea that technology could lead to a Matrix-like simulation in the future. They started down that rabbit-hole with a discussion on the dangers of social media, where Musk expressed that platforms like Instagram reflect only the best facets of the human experience. Musk held that social media interactions such as this lead to depression in others, who feel that their lives should live up to the glamour of Instagram models and social media stars. Rogan expressed a curiosity as to where social media could take civilization in the future – and Elon’s response was nothing short of fascinating. Musk stated that technology will be ‘indistinguishable from reality,’ and, when prompted by Rogan on whether or not he entertained the idea of a ‘simulation,’ appeared to confirm his sentiments. “If you assume any rate of improvement at all, games will be indistinguishable from reality – or civilization will end. Or, we are most likely in a simulation.” Elon also indulged in certain recreational drugs during the podcast. Joe randomly produced a cigarette containing tobacco and marijuana in the middle of the show and lit it, sharing it with Musk, who innocently asked, “Is that a joint?” Elon’s consumption of the drug might have gone against Tesla company policy. According to an article on NBC News, Tesla’s stock has plummeted 9% since the episode aired on September 6. Elon Musk teases Twitter edit button after buying $3 billion share in company – Dexerto
Elon Musk teases Twitter edit button after buying $3 billion share in company Wikimedia Commons / TwitterJust days after buying a 9.2% stake in Twitter worth $3 billion and becoming the social media platform’s largest shareholder, Elon Musk teased the long-awaited addition of an edit button. Less than a week after Twitter users urged Elon Musk to buy the social media platform after criticizing it, the Tesla CEO went ahead and actually bought in, purchasing 73.5 million shares worth around $3 billion. Musk now owns 9.2 percent of the company, making him the largest shareholder. The second-largest shareholder is The Vanguard Group, which has an 8.79% stake in the company. Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey only has 2%. Elon Musk bought 9.2% ($2.4 billion on March 14) of Twitter becoming the largest shareholder causing the stock to surge This is after he stated Twitter needs more free speech His share is now worth about $3.6 billion via @business pic.twitter.com/dTao6TK0c5 — Dexerto (@Dexerto) April 4, 2022 What’s more, Musk is already trying to take action. Twitter users have been asking for an edit button for a long time now. They thought their prayers had finally been answered on April 1st, but it was only an April Fool’s Joke. However, Musk teased the possibility of actually adding one, posting a poll on his Twitter account asking users whether they want it added as a feature. 600,000 people voted within the first hour, with 76% voting for the amusingly misspelled yes. The poll will be active for the next 24 hours and will likely attract millions of votes by the end. As for whether it will guarantee the addition of an edit button, we’ll have to wait and see. But at the very least, it has re-ignited the conversation. Moreover, Musk becoming Twitter’s largest shareholder has caused the company’s shares to skyrocket 25% in value. He also only invested a small percentage of his wealth, which means an all-out buyout is still possible.

Elon Musk tells Jack Dorsey what he would change if he ran Twitter – Dexerto
Elon Musk tells Jack Dorsey what he would change if he ran Twitter Elon Musk / Jack, TwitterTesla CEO Elon Musk revealed to Jack Dorsey what he would change about Twitter during the platform’s OneTeam 2020 conference in Houston. Thousands of Twitter employees were gathered in Houston for the OneTeam conference to kick off the new decade. During the event, founder Jack Dorsey called Tesla CEO Elon Musk on a video conference to say a few words and share some of his wisdom with those attending. When Jack asked for some feedback and what he would do to improve the company, Elon Musk expressed that he had one particular change in mind. “I think it would be helpful to differentiate’ between bots and real users,” Musk shared, “Is this a real person or is this a botnet or a sort of troll army or something like that?” As someone who often gets targeted by bots with spam replies to many of his posts, it made sense why he would be looking for there to be an easy way to differentiate between the real and automated responses. What @elonmusk thinks Twitter could be doing better. #OneTeam pic.twitter.com/BvAUee7rmn — Mary Jordan (@_maryjordan) January 16, 2020 “How do you tell if the feedback is real or someone trying to manipulate the system, or probably real, or probably trying to manipulate the system?” he continued. Elon also pointed out that groups would often use bots to skew perception even in cases such as political matters, “what do people actually want, what are people actually upset about versus manipulation of the system by various interest groups.” Although the idea would likely be welcomed by Twitter users, many have claimed that it would be quite a difficult one to implement on the platform. Another massive feature that has been in demand from some of the site’s users would be the ability to edit tweets once they have been sent out, however, Dorsey has shown little interest in making it happen as of yet.

Elon Musk confuses everyone with bizarre SoundCloud Harambe song – Dexerto
Elon Musk confuses everyone with bizarre SoundCloud Harambe song Flickr: Jurvetson/BBC NewsTesla CEO Elon Musk once again sent his Twitter followers into a spin with his dive into the deep meme scene, pitting a number of older memes against other each – including a RIP Harame SoundCloud song. Elon Musk is no stranger to memes, especially on Twitter. He memed an appearance on Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg’s Meme Review into life, alongside Rick and Morty’s Justin Roiland, in a bid to help the Swede in his fight for YouTube’s top subscriber spot against T-Series. Following that long-awaited clip, the SpaceX head honcho followed up with a Call of Duty: Zombies revive meme based around the Mars Opportunity Rover finally going offline after 14 years. Has Elon Musk got a music label? Yet, his trip into the world of Tweeting memes is far from over, as he has found a new avenue to explore – SoundCloud songs. Musk shared a SoundCloud link to a meme rap song called ‘RIP Harambe’ from an Emo G Records. The Emo G Records account listed Musk as it’s profile name but it’s unclear whether or not Musk is actually behind the Emo G Records account, or if he has stumbled upon something try to use his name in a joke. Moments after sharing the link to the bizarre song, Musk followed up his initial tweet with: “I’m disappointed that my record label failed,” adding further to the weirdness of the whole thing and leaving puzzled onlookers even more confused. Musk brings quality of emoji meme back He had earlier shared a Duck emoji, referring to a meme from 2018 where people ranked the different looks of emoji on different devices. The tweet racked up over eight thousand retweets and 59 thousand likes. The Tesla CEO then responded to just how popular the tweet had been, posting: “The quality of emojis varies wildly,” again playing into the ranking meme. With the retweets and likes of the SoundCloud link tweet being way passed by the Duck emoji, Musk tweeted: “Duck emoji defeats Emo G Records. Crushing victory.” It remains to be seen just if the Tesla boss reveals if he is actually behind the Emo G Records account and if so, if he releases any more ‘meme’ hits in the future. Until then, he looks satisfied with sharing any meme he fancies with his army of Twitter followers.

Elon Musk teases quitting Tesla for YouTube & Mr Beast wants to help – Dexerto
Elon Musk teases quitting Tesla for YouTube & Mr Beast wants to help YouTube: Mr Beast/PewDiePieSpaceX and Tesla boss Elon Musk tweeted that he’s willing to shelve all his plans and become an internet influencer, so, he’s already been offered some help. While he’s been massively successful with companies like Tesla, SpaceX, and the Boring Company, Elon Musk has always found time to throw out random posts on social media. The South African business magnate has become a meme king to some, posting about everything from his crypto investments, Disney+’s The Mandalorian series, and even his favorite Overwatch character. Despite being named as the richest man in the world, he claims he’s willing to throw it all away in the hopes of becoming an internet influencer. And, some social media stars have even thrown their hat into the ring to help. It was on December 9 when the 50-year-old sent out the tweet that raised a few eyebrows. “Thinking of quitting my jobs and become an influencer full-time, wdyt,” he said to his followers. Naturally, some content creators fired back, offering to swap roles – if he was being serious, of course. Though, they clearly doubted that he was being totally truthful. In the case of Mr Beast, he wanted to help in any way he could. “I’ll coach you on how to get YouTube views!” he replied. That quickly sparked some wild video ideas like “WE GOT STUCK IN A SPACEX ROCKET” as fans want to see the pair collab in the future. Now, is Musk really willing to throw his $300 billion net worth to one side to become a vlogger or TikTok star? We seriously doubt it. He’s not a newcomer to the YouTube world, of course. He linked up with PewDiePie for an episode of ‘Meme Review’ when the Swede was locked in his tense subscriber battle with T-Series. A crossover with Mr Beast could be pretty spectacular, but we’ll have to wait and see if anything happens.

Elon Musk pledges crazy amount for Mr Beast’s viral tree planting project – Dexerto
Elon Musk pledges crazy amount for Mr Beast’s viral tree planting project Update 10/29 3:01 PM PST Elon Musk has tweeted his support for Mr Beast’s project, pledging an insane one million trees. While it’s possible he was joking (he is well known for his science of memes rants), he did seem serious in his support. If nothing else, it should raise awareness of the campaign beyond just Mr Beast’s reach. The original article follows. Jimmy ‘MrBeast‘ Donaldson has recruited the help of his fellow YouTubers to reach his goal of planting 20 million trees, but he may have some unexpected help from Tesla and SpaceX entrepreneur Elon Musk too. On October 25, MrBeast unveiled his plan to plant the millions of trees as a fundraiser on his YouTube channel, and the likes of KEEMSTAR and other top YouTuber’s are also joining in on the #TeamTrees project. There has been some criticism though, but MrBeast responded, clarifying that he knew the project wouldn’t prevent climate change, but that it was still a move in the right direction. Three days into the fundraiser, Donaldson revealed that they had already managed to plant 6 million of the planned 20 million new trees. His viral tweet attracted plenty of attention, not least from Elon Musk himself, who has become increasingly involved in YouTube culture ever since his appearance on PewDiePie’s Meme Review show in February. “Sounds cool. Where are the trees being planted & what kind of trees?” Musk asked, perhaps intrigued to contribute in some way himself. Sounds cool. Where are the trees being planted & what kind of trees? — Elon Musk (@elonmusk) October 28, 2019 MrBeast responded, explaining that the trees are being planted on every continent on earth with the exception of Antarctica, and that the type of tree planted depends on the location. Arbor Day Foundation, who MrBeast is partnered with for the fundraiser, ensures that new trees planted are “native” to the area. The trees are being planted on every continent except Antarctica and the kind of trees planted depends where they are planted. Arbor Day plants trees that are native to their surroundings 🙂 https://t.co/W2ItuwU418 — MrBeast (@MrBeastYT) October 28, 2019 Even if Elon Musk doesn’t plan on contributing directly, just getting his name and approval linked on social media could do wonders for promoting the cause further. At the rate MrBeast is going, the project will reach 20 million well ahead of the expected timeframe, helped by his ability to make almost anything go viral.

Elon Musk shuts down rumor he reactivated Kanye West’s Twitter account – Dexerto
Elon Musk shuts down rumor he reactivated Kanye West’s Twitter account Twitter / Wikimedia CommonsElon Musk has poured cold water over speculation that he personally made the decision to reactivate Kanye West’s Twitter account. The billionaire officially purchased the company on October 27 for a reported $44 billion and has been teasing that several high-profile blocked accounts will be freed from “Twitter jail” ever since. He said: “Twitter will be forming a content moderation council with widely diverse viewpoints. No major content decisions or account reinstatements will happen before that council convenes. In another post, he stated: “Anyone suspended for minor & dubious reasons will be freed from Twitter jail.” Naturally, users have been monitoring several celebrities who have been banned in recent years, including Andrew Tate, former US President Donald Trump, and others. On October 28, just days after being canceled and removed from using all major social media platforms, it was reported that Kanye West’s restrictions were suddenly lifted. These restrictions were enforced by Twitter, meaning the rapper and fashion star was unable to post or interact with other users. His account has always remained visible, however. Elon Musk responds to Kanye West Twitter account rumors Musk has since moved to reassure users that he was not consulted in the decision to make Ye’s account unrestricted. He tweeted: “Ye’s account was restored by Twitter before the acquisition. They did not consult with or inform me.” While he did not offer an opinion on the lifting of restrictions, it is confirmation that the action was taken before the buyout was complete. Kanye West has been almost universally banned or restricted in his access to social media, following a series of controversial comments made by the Yeezy creator in relation to the Jewish community. His ex-wife Kim Kardashian has since moved to condemn what she described as “hate speech.”

Elon Musk reveals why he wants more R-rated video games – Dexerto
Elon Musk reveals why he wants more R-rated video games EJ_SA, Gameslice – Twitch / FreepikTesla CEO and tech millionaire Elon Musk is known both for his work in technology as well as his wacky behavior, as evidenced by his hilarious Twitter tirades – but he’s also an avid fan of gaming, as seen in his appearance at E3 2019. Elon Musk met with Bethesda executive producer Todd Howard to discuss technology, gaming, and Tesla vehicles at E3, which lead to a hilarious interaction with the host in the middle of their discussion. While Musk is currently putting games on the dashboards of his Tesla models, it looks like he’s interested in R-rated material, after being asked what he hopes to see from electronic entertainment in the future. Elon Musk made an appearance at E3 2019, alongside Bethesda executive producer Todd Howard. Musk appeared to be rather flustered at the question, answering honestly that he’d appreciate a little more adult-themed games going forward. “I don’t know if I should say,” Elon warily admitted to scattered laughter. “I mean, like… I don’t know. A bit more R-rated, I don’t know. I’m trying to be honest here. [It’s a] popular theme.” The host then asked Todd about Elon’s apparent predictions, who laughingly questioned if he’d be able to “follow that up.” While Musk admitted that he didn’t have much time for gaming, considering his work with Tesla and SpaceX, he claimed that the last game he spent “a lot” of time with was Fallout 4 – which was met with congratulatory applause by fans. Musk likewise revealed a 2018 racing game at the conference, which is playable with a Tesla steering wheel in the car’s driver seat. “I mean, if you have a racing game and you have a steering wheel…it’s sitting right there, waiting to be steered,” Musk said of the game. Elon Musk roasts TSM’s Myth about losing his virginity because of Fortnite – Dexerto
Elon Musk roasts TSM’s Myth about losing his virginity because of Fortnite Evening Standard / MythAside from being a successful businessman and tech genius, Elon Musk has also proven that he is an expert roaster on social media. The billionaire put his skills on full display as he flamed competitive Fortnite player Myth, who is the captain of Team SoloMid’s pro Fortnite team. Earlier on October 19, Musk posted a tweet joking about deleting Fortnite, which Myth replied to by jokingly mentioning his virginity. “Excuse me Mr. Musk,” he tweeted. “But I think it’s important for me to state that I actually lost my virginity after playing Fortnite. Just saying. Myth’s virginity has been the topic of many hilarious discussions since he became a big-name streamer; the internet is full of memes and clips of Myth talking about losing his “V-Card.” Upon seeing the reply, Musk did not let the opportunity slip by, as he replied with a comment from which there was no return for Myth: “Online doesn’t count.” As one would expect, the comments section of Musk’s tweet was instantaneously filled with replies from seemingly everyone, as they all recognized that Myth had just been flamed hard. Even Myth knew he could not come back from the hole that Musk had put him in, as he essentially waved the white flag with this reply. While this was all just good-natured internet ribbing, it’s worth noting that Musk has taken to interacting with competitive Fortnite players in recent days. He recently was also seen replying to FaZe Clan pro player and popular streamer ‘Tfue,’ who requested Musk to help him get better internet.

Elon Musk says running Twitter has been “painful” and stressful – Dexerto
Elon Musk says running Twitter has been “painful” and stressful YouTube: TEDElon Musk has described running Twitter as “quite painful,” and a “stressful situation.” The sizable workload Musk has taken on has even pushed him to sleep on a couch in the office’s library, he says. The Tesla CEO purchased Twitter last year in a reported $44 billion dollar deal. Since then the social media website has undergone a multitude of changes under his leadership. Many of these changes were made to turn around Twitter’s financial situation with it not declaring a profit since 2019. However, the man behind these decisions hasn’t made them without hardship. Elon Musk opens up about his time as Twitter CEO Elon Musk has revealed how running Twitter has affected his life in an interview with the BBC. In the interview, Musk describes his time at Twitter as “painful,” with the layoffs earlier this year being a particular low point. Speaking on the layoffs, Musk confessed they were “haphazard,” but still defended the decision to go ahead with them: “The company was going to go bankrupt if we didn’t cut costs immediately. If the whole ship sinks then nobody’s got a job.” Despite the stressful situation Musk finds himself in, he wouldn’t commit to saying that buying Twitter was a mistake: “It’s been quite painful but at the end of the day it should have been done. Were there many mistakes along the way? Of course, but all well that ends well.” Twitter’s situation is improving The situation as of late looks to have improved, as Musk expressed: “We’re headed to a good place. We’re roughly breaking even and trending to be cash flow positive very soon. Literally in a matter of months.” A part of these improvements to finances can be attributed to advertisers returning to Twitter. Musk backed this sentiment: “I think almost all advertisers have come back or said they are going to come back.” Addressing the advertisers that haven’t returned yet, Musk said: “If Disney feels comfortable advertising children’s movies and Apple feels comfortable advertising iPhones that’s a good indicator that Twitter is a good place to advertise.” With Twitter’s fortune changing Musk isn’t actively looking to sell Twitter but he did concede that such an outcome isn’t impossible: “If I was confident that they would rigorously pursue the truth, then I guess I would be glad to hand it over to someone else.”

Elon Musk reveals plans to make Tesla Roadster hover on Joe Rogan Podcast Spotify: The Joe Rogan ExperienceElon Musk elaborated on plans to add “rocket technology” to the upcoming second-generation Tesla Roadster in order to make it hover, though safety concerns will have an effect on its capabilities. Joe Rogan is undoubtedly one of the biggest podcasters on the internet, standing at just over 10 million subscribers on his YouTube channel. Despite his move over to Spotify he still maintains a solid listener base, and as ever, continues to have the most high-profile guests flock to his Texas studio to be on the JRE podcast. Tesla CEO Elon Musk has been on the podcast twice before, and each time he has proven to be a hugely popular guest among viewers. The first episode they did together, episode 1169, has over 40 million views on YouTube. After Joe asked when the Roadster might be available, Elon revealed that “we’re finishing the insuring of it this year, and so hopefully start shipping them next year,” before adding, “and we’re gonna throw some rocket technology in that car.” Topic starts at 58:35 Then came the all-important question: “will it hover?” It’s clear that the CEO is keeping hold of his plans from 2018, as he replied: “I want it to hover. And I’m trying to figure out how to make this thing hover without, you know, killing people.” Read More: Incredible aesthetic gaming setup goes viral – He went on to add: “I thought maybe we could make it hover but like, not too high. So maybe it can hover like a meter above the ground or something like that,” in order to stop it from being lethal. Musk revealed that the car would be able to travel while it’s hovering, and although you’d be able to travel “pretty fast,” you’re still going to be “time-limited.” The news that Tesla is still trying to go ahead with plans for an actual hover-car will no doubt be exciting for many, and people will be keen to see whether it really comes to fruition next year.

Elon Musk reveals that he’s paying for celebrities’ Twitter Blue subscriptions – Dexerto
Elon Musk reveals that he’s paying for celebrities’ Twitter Blue subscriptions Twitter: elonmuskThe current CEO of Twitter and Tesla Elon Musk has revealed he is paying for certain celebrities’ Twitter Blue subscriptions. Elon Musk is arguably one of the most controversial figures on the internet. The CEO of several companies including Tesla and SpaceX, the engineer has found universal love and hate, making waves across the internet through his widely followed Twitter account. Musk seemingly loved Twitter enough that he ended up purchasing the company on October 27 last year. Since that time Twitter has had several ups and downs with Musk at the helm, going through tumultuous times with many users hating the changes made on the social media application. Throughout Elon’s time as CEO of Twitter, he introduced a revamp of the subscription service Twitter Blue. Part of this revamp gave users the ability to verify their account and gain the coveted verification tick, provided they were subscribed to the service. However in that time, many have come to dislike Twitter, also dismissing their verification tick in the process. As such many influencers and celebrities have tried to drop the tick off their profile, with the legacy system being recently retired. Elon however has decided to keep the tick for some celebrities however, as he revealed in a response to a tweet. Elon confirmed this in a response to a post about rumors of him paying for celebrities’ Twitter Blue Subscriptions. “I’m paying for a few personally” the CEO replied. Shortly afterward, Musk revealed in a response which celebrities he has sponsored Twitter Blue wise, listing off 3 different stars. “Just (William) Shatner, LeBron (James) and (Stephen) King”. Musk stated. Many Twitter users have made fun of Musk for doing so, with the original Tweet receiving over 4.7 thousand quote tweets with users bringing their opinion on the matter. Elon Musk has yet to respond to the comments made by users, but with how fast things change on Twitter, it may be likely we see no response at all.

Elon Musk reveals Halo is the only console game he’s played – Dexerto
Elon Musk reveals Halo is the only console game he’s played WikiMedia Commons: Daniel Oberhaus/MicrosoftElon Musk, billionaire, social media meme lord, and noted PC gamer has revealed the only console game he’s ever played, and it might surprise a few. Even though he was recently named the most riched man on the planet, and has been hugely success with Tesla, SpaceX, and the Boring Company, Elon Musk loves himself a meme and a random Twitter post. The South African business magnate has been posting memes – even getting to the point where he was focused on just joking about The Mandalorian – and responding to tweets out of the blue for a good few years now. So, it’s no real shock that he’ll just flick through his Twitter mentions and throw out an impromptu Q&A now and again. Though, what might be a shock to some, is that despite his love of PC games, he’s dabbled with consoles. Musk has previously revealed his love for Overwatch, outing himself as a Torbjorn main, but in recent weeks he’s been all about Cyberpunk 2077 – calling it a great game and joking about being able to play it while driving a future Tesla model. Read More: Joe Rogan praises GameStop stock madness – On January 29, he once again sang the praises of the CD Projekt Red’s long-awaited release, when it sparked one fan to ask if he’s ever played a console game. To the surprise of some, Musk responded. “Only Halo,” he said. That garnered plenty of responses, including from a number of Halo devs themselves. “Is this the part where millions of players jump into MCC now?” asked one dev, while others quizzed Musk for his favorite Halo memory. Some, however, couldn’t help but point out the resemblance between the Tesla CyberTruck and Halo’s iconic Warthog. So, who knows, we might see SpaceX mock up something similar to the Pelican or Frigate if space tourism becomes a widespread thing.

Elon Musk reveals plan to take on Twitch with X livestream monetization “perks” – Dexerto
Elon Musk reveals plan to take on Twitch with X livestream monetization “perks” XElon Musk has revealed his aggressive monetization plans for X to compete with Twitch, Kick, YouTube, and other streaming platforms. Since buying Twitter, Elon Musk has been on a mission to transform the social media site, rebranding it to X and instilling multiple features to mixed results. One area that seems promising, however, is live streaming with Elon himself frequently broadcasting Diablo 4 gameplay to thousands of viewers. During a recent stream, Musk announced how X will compete with big streaming sites and incentivize creators to choose on his platform due to its big monetary rewards. Elon Musk confirms X revenue-sharing plan to compete with Twitch According to Fortune, Musk intends for X to give streamers the full revenue for advertisements in broadcasts. “Any advertising that’s in your replies, so if you were to post a stream, any advertising that’s in the replies, you get all the previous… all the advertising revenue. So sometimes that can be quite a lot,” the Tesla CEO said. In addition to the ad revenue, Elon Musk further revealed that X would be “definitely adding tipping” and paid subscriber plans, but it seems to still need some ironing out. Musk explained that the plan is to let streamers choose if they want to have subs or not and gave the example of a viewer paying just one Euro a month, but it may depend on the streamer to set the amount themselves. “You can choose how much, but it’s like, I think one of the perks is like, you can even restrict the chat, or some of the chats, to be just subscribers. So then, you know, the advantage is that somebody subscribing then, they get to chat.” With Kick and Twitch locked in a heated rivalry, X entering the fray would bring even more competition to the streaming space, especially with its planned perks. Currently, Twitch offers a 50/50 revenue split for subscribers while Kick changed the game by offering a 95/5 split, but it seems like X could end up being the best option for those with large followings already.

Elon Musk reveals he makes over $120k a month from Twitter subscriptions – Dexerto
Elon Musk reveals he makes over $120k a month from Twitter subscriptions Instagram: elonmuskTwitter CEO Elon Musk revealed the number of people subscribed to his Twitter account, with the world’s second richest person gaining over $120,000 USD a month from subscription payments alone. Internet superstar Elon Musk has gained a massive surge in following and influence over the past couple of years. As the CEO of both SpaceX and Tesla, the billionaire recently acquired the social media application and website Twitter late last year as well. Musk is easily one of the most controversial figures on the internet at the moment, however, with many recent decisions coming under fire on Twitter. As it turns out, a good number of individuals that follow Elon Musk on the platform also subscribed to him, which is a service that allows users to pay $5 to gain access to bonus content. These features include a subscriber badge, access to exclusive tweets, and access to subscriber-only spaces, giving users a more intimate experience with the account. Elon Musk recently revealed the amount of Twitter users currently subscribed to his personal account and the total is completely mindboggling. In a screenshot, Musk revealed he has about 24.7 thousand subscribers to his account, with each paying $5 for the exclusivity. All in all, this totals to over $120,000 USD per month, making Musk ever wealthier. Many users have commented on the absurdly high amount of income Musk is receiving through this method, with some joking about how long it’ll take for him to make back after purchasing Twitter. “366,667 months until his subs pay off how much he paid for Twitter” a user mocked. Others questioned why Twitter users would subscribe to Musk in the first place, considering that he is one of the most wealthy people on the planet. “People really donating money to one of the richest people on earth” another stated. Musk has yet to comment on the situation as of the moment, but it’s likely the Twitter CEO may swing around to it soon.

Elon Musk reveals he was drug tested by government after Joe Rogan podcast – Dexerto
Elon Musk reveals he was drug tested by government after Joe Rogan podcast YouTube: Joe Rogan ExperienceTesla founder Elon Musk has revealed that he was routinely drug tested by the federal government after his appearance on the Joe Rogan podcast, with concerns from them that he was actually a drug addict. Musk’s appearance on the Joe Rogan podcast has become one of the most popular videos online, with endless memes coming from the two smoking weed together. While Musk had already earned himself a certain level of celebrity and popularity, the podcast with Rogan only helped to skyrocket him to superstar status online, and that definitely hasn’t been hurt by his ascent to becoming the richest man in the world. As a viral sensation, everything he does is watched like a hawk, so when he appeared on Rogan’s podcast, everyone — including the authorities — were on high alert. In his appearance on the Full Send podcast, he revealed the extent of it to the NELK Boys, explaining that the federal government were seriously concerned after the episode aired. “It was pretty nutty, actually,” he explained. “I had to have random drug tests after that to prove that I’m not a drug addict. SpaceX has federal government contracts, and it was still illegal federally, so the SpaceX competitors were like ‘Hey why aren’t you doing anything?’ … I got drug tested for everything.” At the time of writing, the Joe Rogan Experience podcast with Elon Musk has racked up over 60 million views since it first went live in September 2018. It’s unclear for how long Musk was being tested after his appearance, but it would appear he was clean and didn’t cause any alarm bells for the federal government, or else we would no doubt have heard about it. Weed was made legal in California — where Rogan’s podcast studio was at the time of recording — two years prior to the episode being filmed, though since it was still federally illegal, that’s why it became a cause of concern for them and his competitors.

Elon Musk reveals fresh details on Mark Zuckerberg fight as “epic” location agreed – Dexerto
Elon Musk reveals fresh details on Mark Zuckerberg fight as “epic” location agreed Instagram: Elon Musk/Mark ZuckerbergElon Musk has revealed more details about the proposed superfight between himself and Facebook boss Mark Zuckerberg as an “epic” location has been settled on. Influencer fights have increasingly grown in popularity over the last few years, with content creators taking to the boxing ring to settle personal beefs between one another. However, Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg are taking things to a whole new level. Instead of a boxing match, the two billionaires have been talking about stepping into a cage and having a mixed martial arts fight. UFC boss Dana White had been acting as somewhat of a middle man too, claiming it’d be the biggest pay-per-view ever. Musk and Zuckerberg are doing things by themselves though, and won’t be involving the UFC. At least that’s according to the new Twitter/X boss anyway. Elon Musk reveals new details about fight with Mark Zuckerberg The Tesla CEO took to his own social media platform on August 11 to drop some fresh details about the superfight as it inches closer to actually happening. “The fight will be managed by my and Zuck’s foundations (not UFC). Livestream will be on this platform and Meta. Everything in camera frame will be ancient Rome, so nothing modern at all,” Musk posted. “I spoke to the PM of Italy and Minister of Culture. They have agreed on an epic location.” Musk also stated that everything “will pay respect to the past and present of Italy,” which seems to indicate that they’re planning a fight centered around the Colosseum in Rome. On top of that, all proceeds are set to go to veterans. Zuckerberg had previously cast some doubt on the fight happening, saying he wasn’t ‘holding his breath’ given that Musk hadn’t confirmed after he suggested August 26 as a fourth date. As of writing, a date for the fight has yet to be confirmed, but the pair of them are in training. So who knows what will happen.

Elon Musk reveals he has a secret account for “thirst trap” Instagram – Dexerto
Elon Musk reveals he has a secret account for “thirst trap” Instagram FULL SEND PODCASTTesla and SpaceX CEO, Elon Musk, has admitted that he does use a secret Instagram account, calling the platform a “thirst trap”. The business magnate is not one to for half-done opinions on social media platforms, publicly calling out Twitter’s problem with bot accounts earlier in 2022. Now, he’s picked up on another issue – this time on Instagram. However, this time, the difference being he has never had a public account on the Facebook-owned image-sharing website. Elon Musk admits he has secret Instagram account During the August 4 edition of the Full Send Podcast, Musk opened up to the NELK Boys about his experience with Insta. “I do have a secret Instagram account…” he said, after being asked about it. “It’s just so I can click on links and stuff. “I don’t troll anyone, actually I haven’t trolled anyone… Well, I was on Instagram for a while but the problem is that it’s just a thirst trap, you know? It’s a next-level thirst trap [on the women’s side].” The discussion starts at 2:05:53 in the podcast below. He continued: “I found myself taking a lot of selfies and sh*t and I’m like ‘what the f**k man? Why am I doing this?’ Then it was a thing of getting more likes and doing selfies…” Later in the conversation, Musk said that if he ever wants to get a message across to his audience, he prefers to use Twitter – a platform he tried to buy for a reported $44 billion, before the deal collapsed in July. On Twitter, the Tesla chief has over 102 million followers. Whether or not he will start a public Instagram remains to be seen, but based on these comments, it seems he would prefer to lurk in the shadows.

Elon Musk responds to rumors of Donald Trump’s Twitter return – Dexerto
Elon Musk responds to rumors of Donald Trump’s Twitter return Wikimedia: Erick Soares3 / Michael VadonTwitter owner Elon Musk has finally responded to rumors of former US President Donald Trump’s return to the platform after he was banned back in 2021. The internet is amuck with speculation about what’s next for Twitter following Space X boss Elon Musk’s purchase of the platform for $44B and unbanning Donald Trump is on the minds of many. So far, Elon has wasted no time in making big moves, suggesting he could be resurrecting Vine and even implementing PvP “game modes” in the future. As Twitter revamps itself in the weeks and months ahead, speculation has mounted as to whether or not some controversial figures will be allowed back, including Trump – something Elon finally broke his silence on. Elon Musk responds to calls to unban Donald Trump on Twitter Musk’s commitment to “free speech” has been a big talking point for many on both sides of the political spectrum with the ‘Chief Twit’ claiming that “anyone suspended for minor & dubious reasons will be freed from Twitter jail.” Musk’s reign began by firing Vijaya Gadde, a top exec who played a key role in suspending Trump’s account as well as several other higher-ups. While Twitter’s new content moderation policy has yet to be changed, Elon did tease the possibility of Trump being allowed back on the platform. “If I had a dollar for every time someone asked me if Trump is coming back on this platform, Twitter would be minting money!” he said Monday. Elon has hinted at new monetization models in the past, but it’s doubtful that he’s going to start charging users for asking about account unbans. Nonetheless, should the former President ever be reinstated, it’s bound to break the internet. Until then, however, keep it locked to Dexerto for all the latest on Twitter and Musk’s plans for the social media giant.

Elon Musk reveals bizarre idea to put Minecraft & Pokemon Go in Teslas – Dexerto
Elon Musk reveals bizarre idea to put Minecraft & Pokemon Go in Teslas Elon Musk/Tesla/MinecraftTech billionaire and entrepreneur Elon Musk has left gamers across the world baffled, after posting tweets asking how he could combine Minecraft and Pokemon with his car brand, Tesla. If there’s one thing nearly every social media user knows about Elon Musk, it’s that his tweets are often eccentric and bizarre. At the end of April, a tweet suggesting Tesla’s shares were overpriced wiped an incredible $14 billion off his own company’s value. He has gone viral multiple times, including for hopping on the Baby Yoda bandwagon, and for some hilariously weird memes relating to memes themself. His affinity for internet eccentricity was demonstrated again on May 2, when he asked his Twitter followers for ideas on how he could combine his electric car company, Tesla, with Pokemon or Minecraft. He started off his crazy May 2 tweets with four words: “Minecraft has amazing legs”. No one was really sure what was happening, but the tweet was quickly followed up by a pretty weird entrepreneurial proposal. “Anyone think they can get a good multiplayer Minecraft working on Teslas?” he asked. “Or maybe create a game that interacts virtually with reality like Pokémon Go while driving safely? Like a complex version of Pac-man or Mario Kart?” Anyone think they can get a good multiplayer Minecraft working on Teslas? Or maybe create a game that interacts virtually with reality like Pokémon Go while driving safely? Like a complex version of Pac-man or Mario Kart? — Elon Musk (@elonmusk) May 3, 2020 Responses to the tweet were varied. Some users simply steered into (pun intended) the madness of Musk’s tweets, replying with hilarious memes of their own. Others jokingly asked the Tesla billionaire what substances he was on. It’s fair to say that a real-life version of Mario Kart using Teslas (worth hundreds of thousands of dollars) would be an immensely popular spectator sport, but finding drivers for the task might prove more challenging. We’re not quite sure how driving can be safely combined with video games, but Elon Musk has never been one to back down from a challenge.

Elon Musk responds after Tfue buys a Tesla for ridiculous reason – Dexerto
Elon Musk responds after Tfue buys a Tesla for ridiculous reason Twitter / @TTfueProfessional Fortnite player Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney has got the attention of Tesla and SpaceX founder Elon Musk, after the popular streamer purchased a Tesla vehicle for a hilarious reason. Back in October 2018, Tfue sent out a Tweet asking Elon Musk if he could help him “get better internet”, to which the mogul simply replied “Yes”. Surprised that he was even given a response, the Fortnite pro pledged to buy a Tesla, simply because Musk replied to him. Fans presumed that Tfue was only joking, as months went by with no news of a newly purchased Tesla. However, on January 14, Tfue proved that he was a man of his word, posing next to his brand new Tesla Model X, the car manufacturer’s flagship SUV model. This car is incredible :raised_hands::skin-tone-2: @elonmusk pic.twitter.com/pmUR0v3bNk — Tfue (@TTfue) January 15, 2019 Elon Musk took notice too, despite Tfue not being on his following list, the Fortnite player’s Tweet quickly got his attention. Tfue wasn’t done there however, as he had a follow-up request – this time much more ambitious than helping him get better internet. He asked Musk if he had any spare “unusable first stage rockets” just lying around, that Tenney might be able to buy for his warehouse, presumably for entertainment purposes. Do you have any unusable first stage rockets laying around? I wanna buy one for my warehouse… I’m serious — Tfue (@TTfue) January 15, 2019 Elon Musk hasn’t responded publicly to Tfue’s request, and it also appears that he is still having internet issues too – but at least he has a Tesla now.

Elon Musk responds as fans want another Joe Rogan podcast appearance – Dexerto
Elon Musk responds as fans want another Joe Rogan podcast appearance Elon Musk has responded to fan calls for him to return to Joe Rogan’s podcast – The Joe Rogan Experience – for a fourth time. Getting an invite to appear on the Joe Rogan Experience can be a pretty difficult process. Rogan himself has said that his producer’s field requests from people who are interested in appearing and he’ll only take a closer look if he sounds interested in what they want to talk about. That’s led him to talk to people from all corners of the internet – some controversial and some not. Though, he does have a long list of reuccing guests. Some guests have made two appearances, while others like Brendan Schaub, Bert Keishcer, and Tom Segura have appeared well over 30 times each. Elon Musk is one of those who just has a handful of episode appearances, as he’s been on three times. Though, he’s eager to make that four. Elon Musk eager to make another Joe Rogan podcast appearance The South African billionaire first appeared on the JRE back in 2018, but has not sat down for a chat with Rogan since 2021 – when he was one of the first guests following Joe’s signing with Spotify. Since then he’s completed a purchase of Twitter – which Rogan has backed – and. Naturally, fans want them to talk about things. “Will do,” was Musk’s simple message to one fan on October 12 after they urged him to go back on Rogan for a fourth time. Those two words have prompted some excitement from fans, as well as calls for Musk to get Rogan to stream live on X/Twitter as he did recently while playing Diablo 4. It remains to be seen if he’ll get back on the podcast anytime soon, or if it’s something for later down the line. But he’s clearly up for it.

Elon Musk responds to MrBeast’s request to become next Twitter CEO YouTube: MrBeast/YouTube: TEDElon Musk responded to MrBeast just minutes after the YouTuber asked if he could become the new Twitter CEO. After posting a poll on December 18 asking if he should step down as Twitter’s CEO, Elon Musk confirmed that it will happen as soon as he finds a suitable replacement. Since then, many have attempted to step up to the plate including Myspace founder and former CEO Tom Anderson. The latest to throw their hat into the ring is YouTube king Jimmy ‘MrBeast’ Donaldson, and Elon Musk has already shared his thoughts on it. Elon Musk responds to MrBeast wanting to take over Twitter MrBeast threw his hat into the Twitter CEO ring with a tweet on December 22. “Can I be the new Twitter CEO?” he asked. It quickly went viral with hundreds of thousands of interactions and Elon Musk has already shared his thoughts. “It’s not out of the question,” he responded. Fans of the YouTuber and other high-profile accounts responded to MrBeast’s idea as well. “Buy it and then give it away. I can see the video now, holy sh*t,” said TimTheTatman. YouTuber Airrack also replied: “Vouch.” “Probably not a horrible idea, to be honest,” another user replied. All of this comes just days after Elon revealed he was going to step away from being the Twitter CEO after a poll on the site revealed over 50% of voters no longer wanted him to lead the site. MrBeast isn’t the first influencer to pitch himself as the next platform boss either. Popular Twitch streamer Trainwreck wants to take over and invest money into Twitter — although Hasan was quick to mock his idea.

Elon Musk reportedly considering full Twitter overhaul: “It’s a flaming dumpster” – Dexerto
Elon Musk reportedly considering full Twitter overhaul: “It’s a flaming dumpster” TED/YouTubeTwitter CEO Elon Musk is reportedly considering a full overhaul of the social media platform as problems continue to build up for the social media giant. In a lengthy Twitter thread from Dave Rubin, the political commentator detailed a recent visit to Twitter’s San Francisco headquarters and delved into some troubles that are brewing at the company. He met up with CEO Elon Musk twice during his visit where Musk described Twitter as “a Fractal Rube Goldberg Machine.” Essentially, its system is so fragile that it’s on a delicate balance and one wrong move can crash the entire website. Rubin even claimed Musk was thinking of taking down Twitter’s code and starting from scratch. Telling the commentator the entire situation is “a flaming dumpster rolling down the street.” He also suggested that Twitter does enforce shadowbans despite ex-Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey repeatedly saying they do not before his departure. Rubin claimed his own account was hit with the bans, with labels such as, “recent misinformation strike”, “recent abuse strike”, and “recent suspension strike”. He also touched on a KeyWord database Twitter allegedly operates. It’s a machine learning algorithm that ensures the social media platform does not promote any violence or overly explicit content. But Rubin claimed that the database is a mess of “overreaching words” to the point that words like ‘gay’ would make a tweet not advertiser friendly and suppress it in the website’s page by mistake. It must be said that Rubin did not make it clear if these problems arose before or after Musk’s arrival at the company. We’ve already seen plenty of new issues stemming from Musk’s creative direction, but it’s unclear if these particular gripes are fresh or old. We also have to take Rubin’s words with a grain of salt as the political commentator has a history of promoting certain agendas. However, in this instance, we know for certain he was on the ground floor at Twitter’s HQ, lending credence to his reports.

Elon Musk reportedly set to charge $20 a month for verified Twitter accounts – Dexerto
Elon Musk reportedly set to charge $20 a month for verified Twitter accounts Wikimedia/TwitterFor those wanting to keep their big blue tick on Twitter, along with new accounts that want to buy-in, reports claim that Elon Musk is planning on charging verified Twitter users $20 per month as part of a revamped subscription service for the platform. Just days ago, it was confirmed that Elon Musk would be the official owner of Twitter. Since taking over, it appears that the business owner is wasting no time in changing up the social media platform. The first big change that Musk will be enacting is seemingly how the verification status on Twitter will operate. Currently, Twitter users can apply to verify their account, with successful applications resulting in a big blue tick being placed on the account. Verified Twitter accounts are usually given out to public figures and celebrities, companies, along with other influential people in the community. In the lead-up to acquiring Twitter, Musk spoke at length about his plans to rework the platform in regards to its verification process and also how to handle bots. On Sunday, he tweeted: “The whole verification process is being revamped right now.” And while verification has always been a free aspect of Twitter, it has been reported that Musk is planning to make the feature paid. According to The Verge, Musk is planning to introduce a brand new Twitter Blue subscription that will cost users $19.99 per month. In essence, this will rework the optional Twitter Blue subscription – currently priced at $4.99 per month – into a more expensive service. Existing verified accounts will reportedly have 90 days in which to subscribe before losing their checkmark. Meanwhile, any new accounts looking to gain verification appear to be able to do so by opting in to the subscription. The Verge also revealed that employees tasked with this change were told over the weekend and that a deadline of November 7 had been set to launch the feature. Allegedly, if the new subscription is not ready by then, the workers will be fired and let go from their positions. At the time of writing, pricing has reportedly not been set in stone and Musk is yet to speak out on the change. However, we’ll be sure to keep you updated as more information is announced.

Elon Musk reinstates Jordan Peterson on Twitter and reveals Donald Trump return update – Dexerto
Elon Musk reinstates Jordan Peterson on Twitter and reveals Donald Trump return update Jordan Peterson/Elon MuskTwitter CEO Elon Musk has reinstated a handful of previously banned accounts like Jordan Peterson, Kathy Griffin, and right-wing comedy website The Babylon Bee. He also provided an update on potentially restoring Donald Trump’s account. Since Elon Musk’s takeover of Twitter was officialized in late October, the billionaire has made daily headlines by announcing and implementing massive changes to the platform. All the while, behind the scenes, he’s triggered huge turnover as he’s attempted to push the platform towards a vision of “Twitter 2.0” which it seems many employees were not on board for. On November 17, the hashtag “RIPTwitter” became the number one trending topic as users have begun to imagine a life without the bird app. Now, Elon has unbanned a handful of controversial high-profile accounts and commented further on whether former US President Donald Trump could return to the platform. Elon Musk unbans Jordan Peterson, mulls unbanning Trump Musk labeled the company’s new motto as “freedom of speech, but not freedom of reach.” He also clarified that users won’t be able to say whatever they want, despite his previous comments where he’s claimed to have solely purchased the platform to restore the right to freedom of speech. “Negative/hate tweets will be max deboosted & demonetized, so no ads or other revenue to Twitter. You won’t find the tweet unless you specifically seek it out, which is no different from rest of the Internet.” He also revealed that comedian Kathy Griffin, right-wing satire website The Babylon Bee, and controversial media personality Jordan Peterson have all had their accounts restored. Peterson originally was banned from Twitter on June 30 after a transphobic outburst against actor Elliot Page violated the social media platforms guidelines. As for unbanning Donald Trump, who is easily the most notorious tweeter of all time, he said that a “decision has not yet been made.” While a handful of other controversial accounts are now back, the Trump decision is arguably Elon’s biggest one yet. It’s certainly possible that Elon brings back Trump, as the 51-year-old directed Americans on Election Day to vote Republican, the very party Trump was once the head of. However, only time will tell if Elon will restore Trump and his 88 million followers.

Elon Musk reignites Zuckerberg feud with bold duel challenge on Joe Rogan podcast – Dexerto
Elon Musk reignites Zuckerberg feud with bold duel challenge on Joe Rogan podcast Joe Rogan ExperienceThe ongoing feud between Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg has taken an unexpected turn, with Musk once again igniting the rivalry with a bold new challenge. In a recent appearance on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast, Musk has again challenged Zuckerberg to a duel, stating that he’s willing to fight the Meta CEO “anytime, anywhere.” Musk’s fresh new challenge comes after interest in a potential fight between the two had seemingly fizzled out. The idea of the tech-titan showdown arose after Zuckerberg keenly responded to Musk’s initial hint at a fight back in June. Later in August, Musk publicly accepted the fight challenge, but Zuckerberg was quick to note that he wasn’t “holding his breath” that the fight would ever happen. The fight suddenly gained traction, however, and Italy was even down to host the event at the historic Coliseum — a location that later proved to be contentious. “Italy actually was willing to let us use the Coliseum. So I was like, ‘Well, you can’t turn that down, you know?’” Musk said on the Joe Rogan Experience. But with Zuckerberg closely associated with the UFC and UFC CEO Dana White expressing interest in promoting the fight, Musk had concerns about detracting from the historical integrity of the venue. “We don’t want to have tons of ads and UFC branding on the Coliseum because it’s a historical place,” Musk explained. The controversy surrounding the location of the fight led Zuckerberg to believe Musk was never “serious” about fighting him in the first place. And in the other corner, we now have Musk claiming that Zuckerberg simply “pulled out” of the fight. Now, Musk has decided to take matters into his own hands, issuing a new challenge to Zuckerberg. “I challenge him to a duel under any circumstances,” Musk declared confidently on the Joe Rogan Experience. He even acknowledged the potential unfairness of the matchup, given his size advantage. “I’m way bigger than him. This is unfair. I don’t think he should fight me.” Rogan was quick to point out that size isn’t everything, especially against a respected martial artist like Zuckerberg. However, Musk once again referred to his “patented Walrus” move, suggesting he’ll simply lay on top of Zuckerberg to win the fight. As for what’s next between the two, Musk went “full Dr. Seuss,” commenting, “I’m willing to fight him in a house, on a mouse, with a louse.” It remains to be seen if Zuckerberg will accept the duel and settle the rivalry once and for all.

Elon Musk publicly accepts Mark Zuckerberg fight challenge – Dexerto
Elon Musk publicly accepts Mark Zuckerberg fight challenge YouTube: Y Combinator / Smart SenseElon Musk has publicly accepted Mark Zuckerberg’s challenge for a mixed martial arts bout after the Facebook founder claimed Musk wasn’t actually “serious” about a fight. The highly-anticipated match between tech giants Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg could be officially happening if Musk’s latest X (Twitter) posts are anything to go by. It’s been nearly two months since talks of this proposed fight first surfaced online, with Musk claiming he was “up for” a cage match with Zuckerberg in a viral tweet back in June upon the launch of ‘Threads.’ Zuckerberg was quick to accept his offer, notably asking him to “send the location” — but since then, nothing has been confirmed, although Musk was happy to claim their bout was taking place in Italy and would be live streamed on both X and Meta. Elon Musk says “challenge accepted” to Mark Zuckerberg fight Zuck later claimed that he wasn’t “holding his breath” that their fight would actually happen and claimed that his opponent “wasn’t serious” about their proposed match… but now, it looks like Musk has turned the tables on his Facebook rival. On August 14, 2023, Musk posted two tweets taking direct aim at Zuckerberg and seemingly accepting his calls for a fight. “Knock, knock… challenge accepted … open the door,” Musk wrote, tagging Zuckerberg’s Twitter account. That’s not all; Musk also took the opportunity to troll Zuckerberg, writing in a reply, “Thought you might want some tea, so I brought the bags.” Thus far, Zuckerberg has urged fans to exercise caution when believing any of the claims Musk has made about their supposed fight — but now, it looks like Musk has officially accepted the bout following Zuck’s latest comments. Zuckerberg spokesperson responds to Elon Musk’s “challenge accepted” tweet A spokesperson for Zuckerberg has since responded to Musk’s tweets, which many netizens have taken to mean that he might be at the Facebook owner’s home. “Mark is traveling right now and isn’t in Palo Alto,” the spokesperson said, as told by Verge Editor Alex Heath. “Also, Mark takes this sport seriously and isn’t going to fight someone who randomly shows up at his house.” Thus far, Zuck himself has yet to issue a response to Elon Musk, but according to the Meta mogul, he’s already been in talks with UFC Prez Dana White about their battle to make it a legitimate competition with proceeds going to charity — an idea that was proposed by YouTube-boxer Jake Paul not too long ago.

Elon Musk questions if Twitter is “dying” days after $3 billion investment – Dexerto
Elon Musk questions if Twitter is “dying” days after $3 billion investment Elon Musk, TwitterMerely days after Tesla founder Elon Musk became the largest shareholder of Twitter, he publicly questioned if the platform is “dying.” Elon Musk made headlines in early April when he made a massive $3 billion investment in Twitter. The move was seen as a natural fit, as the richest man on Earth regularly spends most of his days posting to the social media platform. He’s already teased “significant improvements” for Twitter, and even made a public poll asking users if they really want the long-awaited edit button. Now, just days after his investment became public knowledge, he’s already questioning the value of Twitter. Elon wonders if Twitter is “dying” On April 9, Musk co-tweeted a list of the top ten most followed Twitter accounts with a bizarre question. Musk said, “Most of these ‘top’ accounts tweet rarely and post very little content. Is Twitter dying?” Elon, who is eighth on the list, certainly posts enough to carry the weight of a group that includes former President Barack Obama and Justin Bieber. But the question was strange, considering he just poured a ton of cash into the company. Most of these “top” accounts tweet rarely and post very little content. Is Twitter dying? https://t.co/lj9rRXfDHE — Elon Musk (@elonmusk) April 9, 2022 His post elicited responses from tons of influencers, including Twitch star Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel, who chimed in with his thoughts. “People use twitter for different reasons. Most influencers use the platform as a tool to propel their brand or whatever they have going on. They aren’t really using twitter. Twitter isn’t dying, big celebs that have nothing going on don’t need to use it as often anymore.” People use twitter for different reasons. Despite Musk’s concerns, it’s unlikely Twitter will die any time soon.

Elon Musk promises to step down as Twitter boss after being voted out in poll – Dexerto
Elon Musk promises to step down as Twitter boss after being voted out in poll UNSPLASH / TwitterElon Musk, the current owner of Twitter and founder of both Space X and Tesla has promised to step down as the controversial boss of the social media platform after being voted out in a recent poll. The newly appointed boss of the social media platform has had a rocky run since he took over in October 2022, publishing new policies unbanning controversial figures like Andrew Tate, reworking the verification badges, and most recently, attempting to ban the promotion of other platforms on the site, which was quickly reversed. Now, in an unexpected poll, Musk has taken to Twitter to allow its users the chance to vote on whether Musk should step down as the head. This is not a new addition to how Musk has been running the platform as he often uses polls to determine new policies or changes to be made. However, this poll is much more serious and has not turned out in his favor. Elon Musk promises to step down as Twitter Head With over 17 million votes, the users of Twitter have voted to remove Elon Musk from his position as the head of Twitter. The results were relatively close, with the percentages being close to 50% on each side, however, the vote has clearly gone against the CEO’s favor. While Musk has undeniably lost the poll, it remains to be seen if he will abide by the result and begin looking for a succession, despite stating he “will abide by the results of [the] poll.” Many users wondered if this was all a stunt to hide the fact Musk already had a new CEO chosen. However, he quickly shot down such rumors by stating “no one wants the job who can actually keep Twitter alive” and that “there is no successor” to his spot. It seems, despite the results of the poll, the future of Twitter is as uncertain as ever and only time can tell regarding a new head for the social media platform.

The song titled ‘Toss a coin to your Witcher’ performed by Joey Batey’s character, Jaskier the Bard, has taken the internet by storm and even Elon Musk has joined in on the action. The popular song was introduced throughout the first season of the show, documenting the adventures of the show’s lead character Geralt of Rivia. Like many who had heard it in the series, Elon Musk revealed that he was also a fan of The Witcher’s song, quoting of the lyrics in his tweet. “Toss a coin to your Witcher,” the Tesla CEO simply expressed. This simple phrase has become the newest meme to be quoted all over Twitter, and Musk loves his memes. Me: dad, @elonmusk tweeted my lyrics! my dad: maybe he’ll toss u a Tesla #Witcher https://t.co/SeGoWh7Kro— Jenny Klein (@jennydelherpes) January 10, 2020 The popular tune has since become the source of many other memes and remixes, with fans looking to add their own unique twist to the popular show’s hit. The TV show has also led to a rise in many content creators and players returning to the popular video game series, which also took inspiration from the original novels by Andrzej Sapkowski.

Elon Musk plans “significant improvements” to Twitter after joining board – Dexerto
Elon Musk plans “significant improvements” to Twitter after joining board Wikimedia/TwitterElon Musk, of Tesla and SpaceX fame, is now joining the Twitter board after becoming the social media company’s largest shareholder, and has announced plans to implement “significant improvements” to the platform. Musk, 50, was confirmed in public filings at the start of April as the biggest shareholder of Twitter with over 9% of the company’s shares, worth over $3 billion. Following this move, Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal announced that Musk would be welcomed to join the board, tweeting “Through conversations with Elon in recent weeks, it became clear to us that he would bring great value to our Board.” In response to Agrawal, Musk confirmed that he would take up the offer, and was keen to be hands-on in his ownership and directorship. Looking forward to working with Parag & Twitter board to make significant improvements to Twitter in coming months! — Elon Musk (@elonmusk) April 5, 2022 “Looking forward to working with Parag & Twitter board to make significant improvements to Twitter,” he responded, also suggesting that the changes would be coming fast – in the coming months. Edit button coming to Twitter? Musk already sparked a frenzy among Twitter users by running a poll for whether an edit button should be introduced, to allow tweets to be amended after posting. Unsurprisingly, the results overwhelming favored yay, or ‘yse’ as Musk aptly put it. Another problem he looks keen to tackle is the infestation of crypto spam bots, which hijack verified profiles in an attempt to trick unwitting users. Elon himself is one of the biggest targets, as these accounts will often impersonate him personally. He dubbed it the “single most annoying problem” on the website. He has also mentioned making Twitter’s algorithm open source. Whether Twitter actually ends up creating an edit button or resolving the plague of spam bots remains to be seen, but clearly, these user-focused issues are at the top of Musk’s agenda. CEO Agrawal said that Elon is “both a passionate believer and intense critic of the service which is exactly what we need on Twitter, and in the boardroom, to make us stronger in the long-term.”

Elon Musk goes private on Twitter to conduct test despite having 127 million followers – Dexerto
Elon Musk goes private on Twitter to conduct test despite having 127 million followers Twitter: Elon MuskTwitter CEO Elon Musk recently set his account to private for a test, despite boasting over 127 million followers on the social media platform. After a long “will he, won’t he” saga, Elon Musk completed his $44 billion deal to purchase Twitter late in October 2022. A whole host of changes have gone live in the months since then, with mass layoffs hitting the company particularly hard. In recent months, for example, users have regularly noticed bugs that impact the experience. Audio errors, playback hiccups, notification glitches, and so on continue to plague the platform. Now, Elon’s testing some of the errors on his personal account. Elon Musk goes private on Twitter for a test Today, February 1, 2023, Elon Musk set his personal account to private in an effort to test whether fellow users “see [his] private tweets more than [his] public ones.” At the time of writing, then, more than half of Twitter’s user base is unable to see tweets from the CEO, whose follower counts tops 127 million people. That Musk laid off the very people who would’ve previously conducted such a test isn’t lost on active Twitter users. “Twitter’s algorithm is in such a poor state to the point the CEO has to do field experiments instead of, you know, an engineering department,” joked journalist Steve Vegvari. Others were also quick to point out the humor in Elon Musk going private on Twitter. Musk noted that he’ll remove the “protected” barrier from his account on the morning of February 2. If and when he plans on sharing the results of the test presently remains to be seen.

Elon Musk offers former YouTube Gaming head job at Twitter – Dexerto
Elon Musk offers former YouTube Gaming head job at Twitter Joshua Hoehne via UnsplashElon Musk has offered a former YouTube Gaming lead a job at Twitter following big ambitions to bring YouTubers over to the platform for 10% more pay. After months of waiting, Elon Musk has finally obtained the keys to Twitter after a $44 billion acquisition was completed on October 27. Already looking for ways for the platform to make money, Twitter has seen the introduction of verification badges for Twitter Blue subscribers, which now allows anyone to purchase a checkmark for $7.99. Among other ideas to get the cash rolling in, such as plans to introduce ‘paid DMs’, Elon is looking to bring YouTubers over to the platform and offer them 10% more than what they’re already paid for their content. The billionaire first suggested the idea during a staff Q&A at Twitter, which he further backed in a reply to a tweet on November 14, where former YouTube Gaming lead Ryan Wyatt joined the conversation to share some insight. “Ran Gaming at YT for almost 8 years. YT’s monetization is pretty damn good and it would be considerable MG’s to ensure this bump,” said the former employee. “But definitely would draw more eyeballs to the platform. Gaming alone had ~350M logged-in daily users at YT when I was there.” Elon replied back with a simple message saying “Join Twitter,” — to which hundreds from the gaming and esports community familiar with the former YouTube lead backed. OpTic Gaming CEO Hector ‘HECZ’ Rodriguez was one of many to get behind the idea. “He might be the only one that can save this,” he said. Many more from the community including top gaming creators vouched for Ryan to get the job, though nothing has come of it as of yet. If Musk is serious about bringing YouTubers over to Twitter, then it certainly would be a smart move to get Wyatt on board.

Elon Musk & MrBeast trade anime recommendations and the internet is loving it – Dexerto
Elon Musk & MrBeast trade anime recommendations and the internet is loving it YouTube: Marques Brownlee, MrBeast / Kodansha, ShueishaTesla CEO Elon Musk and YouTube star MrBeast have gotten into the unexpected topic of anime recommendations, prompting the internet to chime in with their two cents on the best shows. Elon Musk is no stranger to memeing on the internet. His status as a tech giant has apparently no bearing on his ability to joke with the best of the internet’s comedians on Twitter. That being said, Musk also happens to rub elbows with some of social media’s biggest personalities, including the likes of PewDiePie, Corrina Kopf, and David Dobrik. More recently, Musk sparked rumors of being involved in the anime-style, open-world adventure RPG Genshin Impact, after the game’s developers set up a viral campaign to put him in the title. Elon Musk gives a fan his favorite anime recommendations Musk even responded to the situation, claiming that he “couldn’t wait” to be in the game. But this topic soon moved over to anime, thanks to one commenter who asked the Tesla Motors CEO to recommend some shows for beginners. True to form, Musk immediately shelled out a slew of shows listing off hit series like Death Note, Neon Genesis Evangelion, and Ghost in the Shell, along with Ghibli classics like Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke. It seems that he’s also a fan of Full Metal Alchemist and the tear-jerking movie Your Name. Death Note, Evangelion, Ghost in the Shell, Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, Full Metal Alchemist, Your Name — Elon Musk (@elonmusk) October 14, 2021 MrBeast gives his favorite anime recommendations In a completely unexpected turn of events, MrBeast chimed in with his own favorite series. According to the YouTuber, the best shows for anime newbies are Attack on Titan, Hunter X Hunter, The Promised Neverland, Overlord, Darling in the Franxx, and Akame Ga Kill — all high-stakes, action-packed series that are sure to keep viewers on the edge of their seats. Attack on titan, Hunter X Hunter, Promised neverland, Overlord, Darling in the franx, Akame Ga Kill — MrBeast (@MrBeast) October 14, 2021 Musk even gave his official verdict on the debate between who is the better Death Note character between Light or L. As it turns out, it sounds like Musk is decidedly a fan of the series’ resident sweet-toothed genius. Of course, this prompted a massive debate in the replies, with fans judging as to whether or not the two celebs’ recommendations were worth their salt. Thus far, it seems like the general consensus is solid… although everyone has their own (totally valid) opinions. For now, it looks like the Demon Slayer movie is taking the anime world by storm, with the upcoming My Hero Academia movie set to release in theaters later this month.

Elon Musk names baby after plane made famous by Call of Duty killstreak – Dexerto
Elon Musk names baby after plane made famous by Call of Duty killstreak Elon Musk / ActivisionElon Musk and girlfriend Claire “Grimes” Boucher have welcomed a new baby boy into the world and named him X Æ A-12, with the lattermost part referencing an aircraft that most gamers will remember from Call of Duty. Many have wondered what the eclectic Musk and Grimes pairing would name their first child together. While this is Grimes’ first, Elon’s five other children have had relatively common names: Griffin, Xavier, Kai, Saxon and Damian. But this baby is named X Æ A-12, which is…unique. •X, the unknown variable ⚔️ •Æ, my elven spelling of Ai (love &/or Artificial intelligence) •A-12 = precursor to SR-17 (our favorite aircraft). No weapons, no defenses, just speed. Great in battle, but non-violent 🤍 + (A=Archangel, my favorite song) (⚔️🐁 metal rat)— 𝖦𝗋𝗂𝗆𝖾𝗌 ⏳ (@Grimezsz) May 6, 2020 To explain her son’s name, Grimes Tweeted that X references the unknown variable, Æ: her “elven spelling of Ai,” A-12: a precursor to the couple’s favorite aircraft and A: her favorite song, Archangel (by Burial). While the recovering mother mistakenly referenced the S-17 jet, Musk corrected that it was the S-71—a plane that many of today’s FPS players will recall from Call of Duty: Black Ops. While the Lockheed A-12 was only used in flying missions from 1967 to 1968, it is considered a direct predecessor of the Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird, a reconnaissance jet used by both the United States Air Force and NASA from 1966 to 1999. In Black Ops, the SR-71 was an eight-kill killstreak that performed much like the Advanced UAV in today’s Modern Warfare—enabling players to see their opponents’ positions, even those with Ghost equipped, and the directions in which they are facing. Unlike the Advanced UAV, the SR-71 showed players in real time, instead of periodically, and could not be shot down. In real life and in-game, the A-12 and subsequent SR-71 are perfect fits for what Musk and Grimes proffer to admire in aircraft: “No weapons, no defenses, just speed. Great in battle, but non-violent.” While the reconnaissance provided by said aircraft served principally violent ends, it is true that neither jet was ever modified for missile usage—despite different design iterations. The A-12 was the 12th design for the Central Intelligence Agency’s “Archangel” project, and it was smaller, lighter and faster than the SR-71 (containing less fuel and just one seat). Maybe Grimes and Musk will get even closer to Call of Duty and change X Æ A-12’s name to X Æ SR-71 Blackbird once their child hits their teenage years.
