Dunkin’ Donuts worker rage quits after shutting off mobile order machine in viral TikTok TikTok: @just_amethyst7A TikToker that goes by the username ‘just_amethyst7’ has gone viral for disabling a machine at her work that informs her of incoming mobile orders. In a video uploaded to the platform earlier this month by just_amethyst7, she can be seen working at a Dunkin’ Donuts in Massachusetts, before suddenly turning off the device that notifies her of mobile orders. “When you shut the on-the-go machine off [because] you are busy enough as is without them stupid a** mobile orders coming in,” the worker says in her video before flipping off the camera. The video features the popular “if that makes me a villain” sound from the HBO hit series Euphoria. TikTok reacts to the viral clip The video currently has just over 50,000 views and has sparked a massive debate among the TikTok community, causing an overflow of responses. “[My] manager got rid of our tablets [because] I kept turning them off when I was busy during the overnight shift (by myself btw),” one user said, siding with the worker. “They can go to a different store, I’m sorry,” another user said. While most were supportive of just_amethyst7’s decision, some had a different opinion. “[No] because I’m still coming and ordering the same thing at the speaker,” another person stated. According to one of the account’s followers, she may have not actually turned off the machine at alle, after the commenter pointed out that she seemingly turned down the volume, not turning the machine fully off. According to a report published by Business Insider, 8% of Dunkin’s transactions in 2020 were from mobile orders, accounting for a big chunk of the company’s revenue – considering the company is worth over 10 billion dollars.

Dunkey “apologizes” for believing Dream cheated his Minecraft speedruns – Dexerto
Dunkey “apologizes” for believing Dream cheated his Minecraft speedruns YouTube: VideogamedunkeyThe saga of Dream’s supposed cheating to achieve Minecraft speedrun records is still dragging on, even after his response to the claims. At least Videogamedunkey has come out with an apology – of sorts – after initially believing the accusations. Never one to be taken too seriously, Dunkey initially covered the drama when the speedrun moderators made their claims about Dream’s “too lucky to be genuine” time in Minecraft. Although he was tongue-in-cheek, his video covering the allegations actually racked up more views than the allegation video itself, so it certainly spread the word of the drama even further. Dream has since posted an in-depth response, claiming to have drafted in the help of an Astrophysicist PhD from Harvard to do the calculations, and the findings appear to disprove the moderators’ math. Dunkey’s message to Dream Not everyone was convinced though – some poked holes in the defense, and were also critical that the name of the Astrophysicist was not given. Whether you believe he cheated or not now comes down to personal choice in who you believe, but Dunkey as at least come out to apologize for ‘jumping on the bandwagon.’ “Somehow I just got sucked into the hype, and the drama, and I got on the ‘Dream cheated’ bandwagon,” he explained. “It wasn’t just me who fell for the trap, all of you thought he cheated, don’t lie.” However, Dunkey didn’t seem totally convinced by Dream’s defense either, poking fun at the ‘1 in 100 million’ figure given by his researcher (still substantially less than the 1 in 7.5 trillion which the moderators had claimed). However, the research presented by Dream actually claimed that the odds were statistically insignificant, and fell within the possibility of random chance. “I think Dream’s video made a lot of great points, and it really disproved all the haters out there,” Dunkey continues in his apology. “Again, I just want to apologize to Dream for jumping the gun on this. It’s really not like the internet to hop on a moronic bandwagon, with absolutely no credible information to back their claims,” he finished, sarcastically of course. Dream’s rebuttal video has now racked up 5.4 million views in only a few days, and generally, the internet seems to be taking his side in the debate, even if there are still some lingering questions about the findings.

One of the pizzas appeared to be ham and pineapple, which in this writer’s opinion deserves to stay where they found it. As the video gained traction on TikTok, many took to the comments to share their thoughts as well. “I ate pizza from the dumpster before, we found it pretty good,” one user commented. Another user replied: “Must of been pizzas they messed up, the hot boxes at Pizza Hut make the pizzas look awful.” “Oh hell no I wouldn’t trust that you don’t know something could be on that pizza but good luck eating it,” said a third viewer. It’s unknown what the TikToker actually did with the pizza after filming the video, as they haven’t uploaded a follow-up. For more entertainment news and other viral stories, head over to our hub.

Dumpster divers go viral after finding live fish thrown into trash – Dexerto
Dumpster divers go viral after finding live fish thrown into trash TikTok: ugckatehahn32A group of first-time dumpster divers has gone viral on TikTok after finding a box full of live fish outside their local PetSmart in Idaho. Dumpster diving is the practice of sifting through commercial or residential waste to find items that have been discarded but are still useful or valuable. Although sometimes stigmatized, it is a method some individuals use to reduce waste, repurpose items, and in some cases, secure necessities like food and clothing. Two new dumpster divers decided to record their first experience diving into dumpsters at their local PetSmart store in Idaho where they ended up finding more than just trash… Dumpster divers find box of live fish A TikTok by the name of Katie filmed her and a friend finding a box full of individually packed live Betta fish in a dumpster. Kate captioned the post: “Found this the dumpster at my local Petsmart” and added in the video: “First time dumpster diving and this is what we found…” In a second video, Katie updated viewers on what’d happened. She said she decided to dumpster dive at PetSmart because she heard stories about the store tossing away “bags full of dog food, collars, leashes, and stuff that could’ve been donated.” While looking for these items, however, she said she stumbled across a box labeled “live fish.” Out of curiosity, she said she and a friend opened the box and discovered the Betta fish. Kate said that she initially didn’t know what to do, as she couldn’t “top off the cups” with water because the fish required “special drops.” She also said that she couldn’t house that many fish herself. With both PetSmart and Petco closed at the time of her discovery, she posted a video of the fish to Snapchat, alerting anyone who viewed it. Confused about what to do with all of the fish as they were unable to bring them home themselves, they soon saw two PetSmart workers walk to the cars. Kate and her friend quickly ran to the workers, who were horrified by what they were told. The employees claimed the fish in the dumpster was a mistake, and one ultimately ended up taking them home. “I really hope it was a mistake. I hope they take it seriously and whoever made this mistake is let go,” Kate said.

Duke & Jones reveal inspiration behind ‘Money Don’t Jiggle Jiggle’ TikTok trend – Dexerto
Duke & Jones reveal inspiration behind ‘Money Don’t Jiggle Jiggle’ TikTok trend YouTube: Amelia Dimoldenberg/ TikTok: dukeandjonesDJ stars Luke Conibear and Isaac McKelvey, AKA Duke & Jones, have explained how they created the ‘Money Don’t Jiggle Jiggle’ remix which took TikTok by storm. With vocals from documentary maker Louis Theroux, the song sparked a viral dance trend. Louis Theroux was already a household name thanks to his hit TV documentaries ‘Weird Weekends’ and ‘When Louis Met…’ However, in 2022, he became an unexpected TikTok sensation after a rap he wrote and performed on one of his programs was remixed by DJ duo Duke & Jones that then went on to dominate the platform. The pair have now shared what sparked their idea for the remix and how the whole project only took them “15 minutes” to complete. ‘Jiggle Jiggle’ was made in 15 minutes Duke & Jones quickly gained fame on TikTok thanks to their hilarious remixes of some iconic internet culture moments. Just some figures to get the remix treatment include Gordon Ramsay, Gemma Collins, and SpongeBob SquarePants. However, their attention was soon drawn to Theroux’s short rap performance on Amelia Dimoldenberg’s ‘Chicken Shop Date’ and it took just 15 minutes for the pair to create the remix. Speaking to indy100, McKelvey said: “He [Tom] was cooking a pie in the oven and it took 15 minutes to cook and I said ‘I reckon in 15 minutes I could get this done.’ So he sets the timer I go off to work on it. “15 minutes later, his pie is out of the oven. I was like ‘alright, this is what I made.’ And then that was what we eventually uploaded as the loop through auto-tune.” Click here if the TikTok doesn’t load The clip went on to pick up over 66 million views, as of writing and sparked a viral dance trend that various celebrities and creators have recreated. Dumpster diver goes viral after mall security calls cops on her – Dexerto
Dumpster diver goes viral after mall security calls cops on her TikTok: glamourddiveA dumpster diver has gone viral after sharing her “worst mall security encounter ever,” which ultimately resulted in the police being called. While it has been around for decades, the rise of TikTok has seen dumpster diving gain a massive following in recent years. Dozens of people are openly sharing their trash dive finds, documenting their adventures, and spreading awareness surrounding businesses’ excessive and needless waste. However, one dumpster diver recently ran into trouble when mall security called the police on her for ‘criminal trespassing’. Ella Rose, who goes by ‘GlamourDDive‘ online, was dumpster diving at a mall when the incident occurred, filming herself scavenging the “loaded” bin. “Security here is super strict so I’m [going to] hurry up,” she can be heard saying in the video. However, Ella revealed via voiceover that she did fail to do so; “I didn’t hurry up because there’s so much stuff in here… it took me so long and I just kept digging. At this point, I saw their lights, so I knew they were coming to confront.” Sure enough, two security guards soon arrived. But while Ella expected them to simply request she leave, they informed her they would instead be calling the police as she had been caught there before. When officers arrived at the scene, however, they were far less phased by the ordeal. One officer told Ella, “There’s nothing wrong with what you’re doing, you’re allowed to do that. I just don’t know if they have an issue with it because it’s their property.” After discussing with security, he told her, “They have every right to come and trespass you from here, I guess they told you before. Not a big issue, but seems like they have an issue at this point.” “At this point, you will be criminally trespassed so you’re not allowed here for a year. After that, you’re more than welcome to come back,” he continued. “Yeah, I’m sorry about that — anywhere else you’re fine.” Viewers gushed over the police officer’s “chill” response in the comments, with one writing, “The cop is a whole vibe.” Be sure to check out all the latest entertainment news on our page here.

Dude Perfect under fire after filming sponsored video in Qatar – Dexerto
Dude Perfect under fire after filming sponsored video in Qatar YouTube: Dude PerfectPopular YouTube collective Dude Perfect have come under fire from fans and critics alike after posting a sponsored video from Qatar, facing accusations of choosing money over “morals“. Since Qatar was announced to be hosting the 2022 FIFA World Cup in 2010, questions have been raised around whether the country is fit to host such an event, with many critics sharing their disappointment that the biggest sporting event in the world will be hosted in the Middle Eastern country, raising concerns over their human rights records. This was exacerbated by reports of huge numbers of migrant workers dying while helping to build stadiums and the right infrastructure for Qatar to put on the tournament. In February 2021, it was revealed that 6500 migrant workers had died since work had started. With the World Cup now right around the corner, though, there has been a huge number of influencers both from within and outside of the football world headed to Qatar to take part in promotional activities, including Dude Perfect — but they’ve quickly faced criticism for it. One Twitter user told them that “It never hurts to do some research on the potential bucket list location,” adding that next time they should “pick somewhere less controversial.” Some also questioned Dude Perfect’s decision to do this after rejecting an alcohol sponsorship. “From a channel that rejected a sponsorship from an alcohol company I thought they had better morals but I guess I was wrong,” they said. The YouTube comments reflect a similar sentiment, also accusing Dude Perfect of changing the name of the video from ‘Qatar World Cup’ to simply ‘Desert’, as well as suggesting that they had actually been deleting comments questioning the decision to support Qatar. Dude Perfect have not publicly addressed the criticism, but they’ve also received a lot of supportive comments on the video saying how great it looks, so they may not address it at all.

Dubai princess uplifted with support after making savage divorce demands online – Dexerto
Dubai princess uplifted with support after making savage divorce demands online Instagram: hhshmahraA Dubai princess ordered her husband to divorce her via Instagram and was met with an outpouring of support from people around the world. Dubai princess and daughter of the UAE Prime Minister and Dubai ruler, Sheikha Mahra bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, shocked the world on July 16 when she savagely demanded a divorce from her royal husband via Instagram. Mahra married into the royal family in May 2023 when she and Sheikh Mana Bin Mohammed Al Maktoum wed. However, the princess claimed that her husband Mana was too busy to be with her, leading to her viral demands. “Dear Husband, as you are occupied with other companies, I hereby declare our divorce. I divorce you, I divorce you, I divorce you. Take care, your ex-wife,” she wrote on IG. Mahra and Mana welcomed their first child, a daughter, in May 2024. While they might have been married for a little over a year, the princess seemed adamant about her decision. Though ending their marriage could have very well brought her reprimand from her Islamic culture, she was met with nothing but support from individuals around the world. “I find it empowering when a woman recognizes her worth and confidently stands her ground,” commented one. “Setting up the example to stand for [what’s] right. More power to you,” added another. “Yes! We support your right,” said a third supporter. If Mahra follows through with her divorce, she won’t be the only female member of her family to have braved the ending of their marriage. Her mom, Greek national Zoe Grigorakos, is reportedly separated from Mahra’s father and Dubai ruler, Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. As the princess sorts out the details of the divorce she hopes for, there has been no news about shared custody of their two-month-old baby.

Dublin woman arrested mere hours after viral ‘portal’ to New York opens – Dexerto
Dublin woman arrested mere hours after viral ‘portal’ to New York opens Instagram/Irish_DailyTikTok/LovindublinA woman was arrested mere hours after a ‘portal’ connecting Dublin, Ireland to New York City opened up. On May 8, a futuristic art installation opened in Dublin and NYC that allowed both sides to livestream with each other, creating a gateway across the Atlantic Ocean. The ‘portal’ gives onlookers a glimpse into the other city and its citizens and people can interact with them, just like you would in a traditional video call. The impressive project has already seen at least one arrest though, and surprisingly, it came from the Irish side after a drunk woman was caught grinding up against the project. In a video shared by Irish_Daily on Instagram, a woman was seen being escorted away from the structure by police as onlookers in New York waved goodbye. Once the woman was removed from the ‘portal,’ the cops appeared to start questioning her, but the video ends before we find out her fate. The woman who originally filmed the video, Liza Linnane, explained in the comments what had happened that forced the cops to intervene. “Basically she was there for about 20 mins very drunk and was slapping and grinding against the portal before guards stepped in,” she said. While Liza claimed the woman hadn’t been arrested, a spokesperson for Ireland’s National Police, the Garda Síochána, told Limerick Live that she had in fact been charged. “She has since been charged in relation to this and is expected to appear before the CCJ District Court at a later date,” they revealed. Despite the drunken shenanigans, the portal looks like it’s been a hit with both Dubliners and New Yorkers so far. Many crowds have gathered on both sides to get a glimpse into the other city and even held a dance-off against each other. This isn’t the first time a portal has opened. The company behind the project, Portals.org, began building them in 2021 when it connected Vilnius, Lithuania, with Lublin, Poland.

Dua Lipa’s reaction to ukulele busker at Glastonbury becomes viral meme TIKTOK: liamcDua Lipa’s reaction to a busker singing and playing the ukulele for her at Glastonbury has become a viral meme on social media. After performing as a headliner at the Glastonbury Festival 2024, Dua Lipa was enjoying some downtime wandering around the 15,000-acre site when a fan with a ukulele approached her. The busker introduced himself to the ‘No Rules’ hitmaker, and said: “I want to play you 30 seconds of my song and if you like it, I just want your reaction.” Reluctantly agreeing and glancing at the camera, she listened as he launched into exactly 30 seconds of his ukulele song. Before he could continue, Dua cut him off, saying: “Well done, mate. So good, so good,” before attempting to make her escape. “Can I get a hug?” the busker then asked, and she politely obliged before walking away with her boyfriend Callum Turner, who was waiting nearby. Although Dua said the performance was good and stayed to listen, her awkward facial expression during the ukulele song quickly became a meme, with fans comparing it to relatable scenarios. “When your mom runs into someone who ‘knew you as a baby’ at the grocery store,” Twitter user lukasbattle captioned a clip of the popstar looking uncomfortable. Another user, lostinmilou, reposted a similar video of Dua awkwardly smiling and captioned it: “Me when a guy tries to flirt with me.” Twitter user MattMcElheron posted the same clip, writing: “Interview panel waiting for you to stop so they can give it to the internal candidate.” Dua’s facial expression eventually turned into a reaction gif, with many social media users sharing it in response to various relatable moments. Last week, A$AP Rocky’s reaction to Rihanna rapping ‘TGIF’ also went viral and instantly became a meme, as netizens added their rendition of what he was likely thinking while watching her.

Dubai Bling fans slam Season 2 for ‘perpetuating stereotypes’ about Asian culture – Dexerto
Dubai Bling fans slam Season 2 for ‘perpetuating stereotypes’ about Asian culture NetflixFans of Netflix reality show Dubai Bling Season 2 have shared their frustrations with the representation on the show, saying that it is playing into popular media stereotypes about the Asian community. Dubai Bling Season 2 aired on Netflix on December 13, 2023. The show is finally making its name among the existing and renowned reality TV programs such as The Real Housewives. However, with increased popularity comes increased criticism, and fans have called out the show for inaccurate representation and ‘perpetuating stererotypes’ of Arab and Asian culture. Here is what viewers have been saying about Bling Empire Season 2. Fans compared Dubai Bling to Bling Empire Fans took to Reddit to discuss their thoughts and express their opinion on the topic. One fan started a thread and compared Dubai Bling to the 2021 reality TV program, Bling Empire, which centered on East and Southeast Asian American socialites. Netflix released Dubai Bling as a spin-off of Bling Empire, however, it seems that it was also criticized by the audience for the same reasons. The fan wrote: “The main reason stated for cancelled Bling Empire was that it perpetuates stereotypes about the Asian community being affluent, but the spin-off Dubai Bling portrays Arabs and Asians in the same way and is still going.” One fan agreed with the original post and added, “Not saying it isn’t, but simply part of the UAE’s push to cultivate a certain image about Dubai and the Emirates.” Some fans pointed out that the real reason Bling Empire was canceled was due to legal issues between the cast and producers. Bling Empire star Kelly Mi Li sued the show Producer in April 2022. The fan commented: “Maybe, but I’ve been reading there were also legal problems with the cast of Bling Empire, so it could just be Dubai Bling’s cast are easier to work with.” Another fan gave their opinion and wrote, “I regularly travel to Dubai so I didn’t think of it this way! I realise it must have a more exotic appeal to westerners. Ironically I dislike the cast of Dubai Bling more than Bling Empire, but they are definitely more entertaining to watch.”

Dua Lipa made TikToker think a family member died because of Instagram post Instagram: fibula, dualipaAfter giving him a shoutout, Dua Lipa accidentally caused a TikToker to think he had a death in his family. Pop artist, Dua Lipa, recently gave an ode to TikToker and comedian Connor Wood on her Instagram. However, Wood received so many messages after Lipa shouted him out, that he thought he had a death in his family. Not only that, but Wood also shared in an interview that he may or may not have been in Lipa’s DMs – but has the singer replied? TikToker “manifested” Dua Lipa sharing his tweet Dua Lipa shared a photo dump on Instagram when she first dyed her hair red at the beginning of November. She included photos of tour dates, behind-the-scenes bits of her photo shoots, and lastly, an old tweet from Wood. Wood’s tweet was from November 22, 2022, and read, “Being in a Dua Lipa photo dump could change my career.” He also responded to a comment by saying, “I think about this all the time.” The day after Lipa made the post, Wood received an influx of messages from friends and family, making him think he must have had a death in his family. When he finally got to reading his messages, he soon realized what had occurred. At last, his dreams became a reality. Wood also spoke with Page Six about the shoutout, saying that it was “all time” and that he started to “act different” after being noticed by the “Dance The Night” songstress. Dua Lipa reignites ‘no trouser’ trend on the cover of New York Times – Dexerto
Dua Lipa reignites ‘no trouser’ trend on the cover of New York Times Twitter: ThePopTingzSinger Dua Lipa rocked the ‘no trouser’ trend for the cover of New York Times Magazine, joining other celebrities in the bare minimum style. As Dua Lipa talked about pop music and podcast content with the New York Times, she reignited the ‘no trouser’ trend that many celebrities have been seen wearing – or not wearing, so to speak. Not only did Dua Lipa recently receive the cover of the NYT, but she also had the privilege of contributing to the Barbie movie soundtrack with her hit track ‘Dance the Night.’ She’s the only female artist to have two albums with more than 10 billion Spotify streams, and is also currently working on her third. Dua Lipa joins celebrities alike in the ‘no trouser’ trend While she works on her next album, due to release in 2024, Dua Lipa has been busy making hits for billion-dollar movies and modeling for one of the most prestigious magazines of our generation. Though her NYT cover consisted of no pants, gray undergarments, a plain white tee, and a slicked-wet hair look with nude glam, Dua Lipa looked confident in her minimalist attire. Dua Lipa may have brought the ‘no trouser’ trend from 2019 back into style, but she wasn’t the first celebrity to fashion the revealing look. Kendall Jenner is actually crowned as the ‘no trouser’ queen alongside Hailey Bieber, as both models have been seen on multiple occasions rocking the trend. Kendall even influenced her sister Kylie Jenner to ditch the pants at this year’s Paris Fashion Week, as the billion-dollar beauty mogul wore men’s inspired white underwear over black sheer tights and a long gray coat with a white tank top underneath. Other celebrities like Beyoncé have left the pants on the rack and have worn multiple bodysuits over tanned sheer tights during her current Renaissance tour. Camila Mendes also flaunted a black leather jacket with a matching black bra and underwear at New York Fashion Week this year. Although it’ll be at least half a year before her next album release, Dua Lipa did reveal to the NYT in her interview that her sound will be “more personal,” as she intends to make music that will make listeners’ bodies feel good.

Dua Lipa’s 2017 eponymous debut album made her an immediate superstar. Songs like “New Rules” and “IDGAF” catapulted her into the stratosphere. But it was her 2020 follow-up, Future Nostalgia, that proved she had a singular voice worth listening to. From “Boys Will Be Boys” (a critique of toxic masculinity) to club bangers like “Don’t Start Now,” the album was and is an iconic pop collection. Now, the pop starlet readies a new chapter, and she demonstrates that she has no signs of slowing down or adhering to any pop standard. She is who she is. Dua Lipa’s “Houdini” has fans addicted On Friday (November 10), Dua Lipa unleashed her brand new single “Houdini,” and fans are losing their minds. Earlier this week, one fan crowned it the “song of the decade” based solely on a clip. Today, a fan proudly declared they were “addicted” to the hot and sweaty dance track. Another pointed out how the song’s release is “actually such a power move [because] it marks the transition to her new sound while still retaining the vibes of the previous era to keep everyone interested before she delves further into the psychedelic genre with the next singles.” A third fan pointed out the similarity to Madonna’s “Hung Up” but with a “more intense dance.” Others simply basked in the song’s sultry vibe, sharing gifs and memes. As of this writing, on Friday (November 10), the “Houdini” music video had 10 million views on YouTube. It sure does have the word “smash” written all over it. “Houdini” serves as the lead-off to Dua Lipa’s third studio album. No title has yet been revealed.

Dua Lipa fans convinced new music is coming after cryptic “miss me?” message Instagram: dualipaIs Dua Lipa releasing new music? Her new hairdo and cryptic IG caption has fans speculating something on the way sooner than later. Dua Lipa may have released a recent single for the Barbie movie soundtrack, but she hasn’t dropped a full album since 2020 when her album ‘Future Nostalgia’ took over the pop world with songs like ‘Levitating’ and ‘Don’t Start Now.’ However, Dua Lipa interviewed with the New York Times back in August when she revealed that her third studio album would be ready sometime in 2024. Though Dua Lipa deleted all of her Instagram pictures, she uploaded one today for her fans to ponder over. She also added a cryptic message, showing off a new hairdo — causing fans to speculate even more about potential music on the way. Dua Lipa fans go crazy over her new look With fans not knowing what the title may be, or further details about song features, Dua Lipa took to her Instagram today to send a cryptic message to her 88.8 million followers saying, “Miss me?” Not only that, but Dua Lipa debuted a new red hairstyle, making fans question what was up with the random post and deletion of the rest of her old IG photos. After seeing her post, some fans urged her to drop new music, saying, “We need some leaks, can’t wait!” While another penned, “Yes girl! When will you announce your song?” Dua Lipa’s new look also prompted fans to comment on her appearance, saying, “Dua, I am so excited for this new chapter.” As well as, “Red hair don’t care,” and “New era, omg!” Dua Lipa hasn’t confirmed exactly when her next music release will be — whether it be a single from her upcoming third studio album or something completely different. However, fans are more than ready for whenever the singer chooses to share more of her artistry.

Druski says he split with Rubi Rose because she was too “expensive” – Dexerto
Druski says he split with Rubi Rose because she was too “expensive” YouTube: V-103 AtlantaInternet-famous comedian Druski is stirring up quite the conversation on social media after revealing one of the reasons behind his breakup with video vixen Rubi Rose. Druski’s relationship with now ex-girlfriend Rubi Rose was short-lived. The two became ‘official’ in April 2024, showing off their romance in a PDA-filled video on Rose’s Instagram stories. However, come Summer 2024, the two stars have seemingly called it quits as per a new statement from Druski. The comedian appeared on V-103 Atlanta at the end of July, where he was asked about his current relationship status. “Yeah, I’m single, man,” he answered. “Listen, God blesses you sometimes with situations. It’s a learning situation, you know. That’s what it’s all about.” According to Druski, there wasn’t anything “bad” that happened between them that caused the breakup. Instead, he realized that his ex-girl was a little too pricey for his pocketbook. “She’s a beautiful girl,” he said. “She’s doing great in life. She’s making money, I’m doing the same. …I don’t know if I was prepared yet, but I learned a lot from it. You better have them pockets ready.” “You just gotta be ready, because you don’t know when you’re pulling that wallet out,” he continued. “You could be at a dinner, and she wants all the expensive stuff on that menu.” (Topic begins at 8:49) While Druski said this wasn’t the official reason behind his split with Rubi Rose, he claims he’s using their breakup as a “learning” experience — and says he might even come back to “spin the block” again. Druski’s comments follow another remark from Rubi in June, who was asked about her favorite love song in a short interview with Rambo is Talking. Her answer was short and sweet: “F*ck love. Okay, I’m single, guys.” For now, these two celebs are flying solo — but it’s clear that the internet is getting a kick out of Druski’s explanation for their breakup as comments and memes swirl across social media poking fun at the situation. DT banned from AFTV YouTube channel after being found guilty of violent stalking – Dexerto
DT banned from AFTV YouTube channel after being found guilty of violent stalking AFTV, YouTubeArsenal fan YouTube channel AFTV has permanently banned Liam ‘DT’ Goodenough, one of its main contributors, after he was handed an increased prison sentence for stalking and assaulting an ex-partner. DT was one of the most high-profile personalities on the channel, with over 250,000 subscribers on his own personal YouTube channel. He also previously hosted the ‘All Guns Blazing’ podcast for AFTV. He stopped appearing on AFTV at the beginning of the 2021/22 Premier League season, citing personal reasons. He was convicted of stalking involving serious alarm or distress on November 5, 2021, initially receiving a 12 month prison sentence, as well as a 10-year restraining order. However, following a referral to the Court of Appeal, the initial sentence was found to be ‘unduly lenient’ and, on January 13, it was tripled. Peoples silence on this entire DT situation is really concerning The blokes “”break”” from AFTV isn’t because of some mental health escape, he’s been in a court case for Stalking and Kidnapping a woman You lot need to speak out @AFTVMedia https://t.co/Hj02KlysPF pic.twitter.com/3uMRed0Xkq — 𝙇𝙞𝙖𝙢🇧🇪 (@OfficialVizeh) January 17, 2022 Solicitor General, Alex Chalk QC MP said: “Goodenough subjected the victim to a shocking and frightening ordeal. I referred his sentence because I considered it did not reflect the gravity of the offending and was unduly lenient. I am glad that the Court of Appeal agrees.” AFTV responds to DT prison sentence Following the increased sentence, AFTV were pressed to give a public response to the situation. YouTuber Liam ‘Vizeh’ Waddington tweeted: “People’s silence on this entire DT situation is really concerning. The bloke’s break from AFTV isn’t because of some mental health escape – he’s been in a court case for stalking and kidnapping a woman. You lot need to speak out @AFTVMedia.” AFTV have now confirmed that he has “no place” on the AFTV page ever again. An official AFTV statement read: “This morning we have been made aware of news regarding DT, who was a regular contributor of AFTV until July 2021. We are utterly appalled and disgusted by his actions and totally condemn domestic abuse, or violence of any kind.” Presenter and AFTV owner Robbie Lyle has previously said that DT’s absence was due to personal issues. As recently as January 13, on the day of the appeal, DT said: “I get a lot of people asking why I am not doing my own videos yet, the simple answer is that I am not ready, I still feel anxious and on edge a lot of the time.” Following the increased sentence, AFTV insist that they didn’t know about DT’s offenses until the increased sentence was publicized on the government’s website. “DT had made us aware of personal issues in his life,” the statement continued. “However, we can unequivocally say that the extent of the information made public by the government today is new to us. “DT appeared on AFTV on 1st Jan when the severity of his legal case was unbeknownst to us. The recent developments come as a complete shock to all at AFTV. In light of the shocking news, DT will be offered absolutely no place on the channel again.” AFTV takes down final DT video The channel has also removed the only video featuring Liam Goodenough in 2022, adding: “We will not be keeping the revenue earned from that video.” DT’s only appearance on the channel since the charges has now been taken down. We will not be keeping the revenue earned from that video. — AFTV (@AFTVMedia) January 17, 2022 Why is DT in prison? Official information regarding the case was posted on gov.uk on January 13. It reads: “Liam Goodenough, 42, stalked his former partner as she went on a date, jealously sending the victim’s brother messages threatening suicide and demanding to know the location of the victim. Using a tracking feature on her phone, Goodenough drove to the hotel the victim was staying at and verbally abused her, as well as assaulting her companion. He then proceeded to photograph her in a state of undress. “Goodenough dragged the victim out of the hotel room to his car, suggesting he had a knife and that her son was in the vehicle. However, when she realized that her son was not in the car she tried to escape. A bystander intervened and the victim was able to get out of the car, while Goodenough escaped.”

Drunk wedding guest punched by groom for ruining cake in viral TikTok – Dexerto
Drunk wedding guest punched by groom for ruining cake in viral TikTok TWITTER: spurkedA groom punched a drunk guest after he destroyed the wedding cake and tried to throw it at the bride in a viral TikTok. In a now-deleted TikTok video, the bride and groom were seen cutting into the wedding cake, before one of their guests approached them. The man, who appeared drunk, grabbed handfuls of the cake with his hand and tried to dump it on top of the bride. Luckily for her, he missed on his first attempt as she moved away. He tried to do it again and also missed. The bride covered her mouth in shock at what she was seeing, as the drunk guest tried to hug the fuming groom. However, that didn’t go as he expected. The groom ended up sucker-punching the man in his face, which sent him tumbling backward. The guest got up and went back for a hug, before other guests stopped him from getting another punch. Drunk wedding guest slammed for being inappropriate The video went viral on Twitter with almost 2 million views, as many users were appalled by the guest’s behavior. “Not okay at all,” one wrote. “I see no groom hitting anyone just taking consequences into his own hands I’d be throwing hands.” “Being the bride, I would have went for him,” another shared. “Cakes cost money, some people like to freeze their cakes to eat a year or so later and it’s like ruined the wedding.” “Getting drunk isn’t an excuse for anything. You don’t gain immunity from consequences cause you decided to get drunk,” a third added. “He is a very horrible man, and he should be sued for the damage to the cake and taken out of the wedding reception,” someone else shared. This is just the latest wedding video to go viral on social media for all the wrong reasons. Earlier this month, a groom faced backlash on TikTok after smashing a wedding cake in his bride’s face.

Drunk women rage in viral airport meltdown as flight to Ireland gets delayed – Dexerto
Drunk women rage in viral airport meltdown as flight to Ireland gets delayed TikTok: rip.raaaTwo drunk women were caught having a complete meltdown at an airport after their flight to Dublin, Ireland got delayed. Flying can be a stressful experience for any traveler — but lately, it seems like more and more airplane-related incidents are taking social media by storm. From a woman claiming one of her fellow passengers was “not real” in a viral video to a plane making an emergency landing after a flier had “biohazard” diarrhea all over the cabin, it certainly looks like flying can bring out the worst in us (both literally and figuratively). However, this latest incident is really turning travelers off from air travel after two drunk women caused a scene in an airport. Drunk women have complete meltdown after flight gets delayed In a viral video captured by TikTok user ‘rip.raa,’ two drunk women were caught having a complete meltdown in Newark Liberty International Airport. The reason for their reaction? Apparently, their flight to Ireland was delayed, prompting them to start screaming. The TikToker claimed that they noticed the two women, who are actually sisters, behaving “erratically” when they arrived to their gate. According to the TikToker, the pair are a lawyer and an RN, who even warned airport police that they “could face trouble for not allowing them on the fight.” The video caught the two gals hugging it out as one of them sobbed, “I’m not gonna let you down.” “Let’s leave the airport and go to the subway,” the other suggests. “We’re goin’ to Dublin!” the other shouts. After haranguing an employee at the help desk, one of the women began screaming at anyone within earshot in what the TikToker called “gibberish,” seemingly distraught that she and her sister wouldn’t make their destination on time. Judging by what she said, the flight crew wouldn’t let her sister on the plane, and she was supposed to be visiting family in Ireland. “Please, somebody help me!” the woman screams, jumping up and down. “Please!” Drunk airport ‘Karens’ arrested after viral meltdown The video then cuts to another shot of the women being escorted away from the premises by security, with one of the women struggling to get free of their grasp. Eventually, the woman falls to the ground and is apprehended. According to statements from an Port Authority of New York and New Jersey spokesperson made to the Daily Dot, one of the women was arrested for resisting arrest and disorderly conduct, while the other was issued a “criminal summons” for disorderly conduct. At the time of writing, the video has garnered over 750k views as comments pour in, stunned at the women’s behavior. “Honestly being stuck in Newark terminal B for 3 hours is enough to make anyone lose their minds, so I get it,” one commenter joked. “Honestly, so nice of the airport to provide entertainment during your delay,” another jibed. “This is the kind of customer service I’m looking for lol.” “I will never understand getting that drunk before a long flight,” another wrote. “I don’t want to be hung over when I land.” This is just the latest airport incident to go viral after a pregnant woman was kicked off a flight for asking for more overhead bin space.

Drunk Kick streamer collapses in bar hours before climbing Mount Everest Kick: imjoel3004A Kick streamer preparing to climb Mount Everest got off to a great start by collapsing in a bar after one too many drinks. Kick Streamer imjoel3004 was in Nepal preparing to climb the highest mountain in the world when he stopped by a bar before the climb. A big outing like that is enough to make anyone nervous, so going into a bar to relax is understandable. However, this streamer might have gotten a little too relaxed, to the point where he lost his sense of balance. Kick streamer drinks too much before trying to climb Mount Everest In the clip, imjoel3004 can be seen chilling out at a bar in Nepal, with several pint glasses on the table he’s sitting at. As he laughs, he loses his balance, falling over backwards and disappearing out of shot. However, the streamer confirmed that he was ok, and came back the next day for more preparations in Nepal for the climb. It’s not the first time Kick’s been home to strange moments, and it’s not even the weirdest thing to be streamed in Nepal this week. Streamers Suspendas and Slightly Homeless were temporarily arrested there after police thought they were speaking to underage girls and asking them to get married. Both streamers were later released, though for a while it looked like they could have been given decades-long jail sentences. On a phone call with fellow streamer Ice Poseidon, Suspendas confirmed that he and the other content creators had all been freed, and that “the whole thing was a big misunderstanding, I guess.” “Some f*cking bullsh*t happened, but I’m not guilty of anything.” For more news and updates on Kick streamers, check out this viral showdown between a streamer and strangers in Japan.

DrLupo takes shots at Ninja’s audience with hysterical live roast – Dexerto
DrLupo takes shots at Ninja’s audience with hysterical live roast Epic Games/Twitch: NinjaBen ‘DrLupo’ Lupo has once against hilariously roasted his friend and fellow streamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins – taking aim at the former Halo pro players audience age. The duo, who regularly stream games of Fortnite duos and squad together, do as all good friends do – joke about each other. However, Lupo’s more amusing but brutal jokes have come when taking shots at Ninja’s viewing audience which is stereotypically on the younger end of the scale. This time was no different, with Lupo’s verbal jabs forcing his pal to walk off stream for over 30 seconds, while he basked in the glory of roasting his good friend and having disrupted his Fortnite stream. After getting frustrated by Lupo’s inability to name the cartoon on which the painting behind Ninja was based upon, the former Halo pro ‘sold out’ and promoted his personal Fortnite Creator Code. Lupo clapped back in hilarious fashion, saying: “Bro, you’re not gonna get anything with that Ninja. 12-year-olds don’t have money, come on brother you know that!” Ninja walked off stream with a laugh on his face, but that didn’t stop Lupo. “Look at his face right now!” Lupo said while trying not to burst into a fit of laughter. Yet, Lupo couldn’t hold back the laughs much longer as he began laughing and added: “He walked away!” just as Ninja disappeared off camera. As he returned to his stream with a drink in hand, Ninja finally broke his silence, jokingly saying: “DrLupo is driving me to alcoholism.” Seeing as Ninja and Lupo are pretty good pals, the only real backlash Lupo is likely to receive is a good return roast. We look forward to hearing what Ninja cooks up for his friend and seeing how he plans to return fire.

Ninja, DrLupo & more slam Joe Rogan for calling video games a “problem” – Dexerto
Ninja, DrLupo & more slam Joe Rogan for calling video games a “problem” Twitter, @DillonFrancis / Joe Rogan[jwplayer 91I9RIGm]After criticizing the gaming grind on his podcast, Joe Rogan trended on Twitter on July 26. Gamers, including Ninja and DrLupo, seemed unhappy with how flippantly he criticized their pastime. In an episode of the Joe Rogan Experience, Rogan described video games as a “waste of time” because they are addictively fun, but not as profitable as other hobbies. This has resulted in major controversy, eliciting unrelenting reactions from the gaming community’s fans and professionals. “Video games a real problem. You know why? Because they’re f**king fun. You do them, and they’re real exciting, but you don’t get anywhere.” Joe Rogan has described video games as a “waste of time” for ‘most people’: https://t.co/8phVgmGYP9 pic.twitter.com/HGVgCfr7mh — Dexerto (@Dexerto) July 26, 2020 “Video games are a real problem … because they’re f**king fun … and you do them, and they’re real exciting, but you don’t get anywhere,” he said. Many of the reactions have reflected that there’s some truth to what Rogan is saying, but some of the most prominent responses have surrounded what feels inherently off-the-mark about his analysis. While it’s obviously true that too much of anything is unhealthy, calling gaming a ‘waste of time’ compared to martial arts is a questionable take for many. The point’s contradiction was highlighted by HasanAbi, who noted that “you can start a dojo if you do BJJ, but you can’t join an esports organization? Or become a Twitch streamer?” Further, DrLupo, one of the most successful streamers, elaborated why Rogan’s take seems too generalized. Listening to this podcast is a waste of time if it’s all you do all day and wait for the next episode. Generalized bad take is bad. Anything can be harmful in excess. Video games have made many people successful, they’re the cause for a majority of my friendships, etc. https://t.co/j86f8VZFPU — DrLupo (@DrLupo) July 26, 2020 Aside from financial upside to serious gaming, popular personalities like Goldenboy echoed Lupo’s point about friendships: “I met my best friends because of video games.” This emphasis on positive, non-monetary benefits coincides with gamers like motivational speaker, Steven Spohn, who credits gaming for helping him ‘fall in love’ as well as Overwatch and Valorant General Manager Michael ‘Packing_10’ Szklanny who professed that “video games saved my life from PTSD.” While many complained that Rogan’s analysis emphasized financials too heavily, esports players conversely accompanied DrLupo and streamers in discrediting the belief that gaming is not lucrative or worth time. The Atlanta FaZe’s Chris ‘Simp’ Lehr made the simple point that esports proves gaming can be financially beneficial while fellow CDL player Tommy ‘ZooMaa’ Paparatto noted that, although “there needs to be balance,” “nothing you do that you enjoy is a waste of time.” This multitude of perspectives reflects just how varied and multifaceted the gaming industry and culture is. This is precisely what Ninja elaborated on in his response to Rogan. Joe Rogan gaming comment thoughts video. Mind was kinda everywhere but wanted to get a little vid out to explain it sooner rather than later. ALSO! Enjoy the full emo hair Ninj right now 🤪 pic.twitter.com/fgb92vUVtF — Ninja (@Ninja) July 26, 2020 “Joe doesn’t really understand the full context of what the gaming community is and how many different avenues you can be successful in.” Ninja expands on why Rogan’s comments seem to belie a less nuanced understanding of gaming’s totality than the scene deserves, using the examples of emerging opportunities like coaching to complement the professions of streamers and players. Ultimately, everyone seems to agree that no hobby, even gaming, is exempt from being unhealthy when it is done in excess. But those embroiled in gaming culture, from casuals to professionals, found that Rogan’s phrasing ignored the hobby’s merits and the industry’s growth. Many, from David Heinemeier Hansson and Talia Mar to Cory Barlog and Snitchery, chimed in to defend against a clip that they felt unfairly represented gaming.

DrLupo reveals how YouTube eventually lured him away from Twitch streaming – Dexerto
DrLupo reveals how YouTube eventually lured him away from Twitch streaming YouTube: DrLupoBenjamin ‘DrLupo’ Lupo revealed the main reason he left Twitch for YouTube, admitting the lucrative deal guaranteed that he and his family will be “secure for life” and there was “no shame” in that. DrLupo turned the internet upside down after announcing a shock move to YouTube. Timothy ‘TimTheTatman’ Betar followed suit shortly after and explained why their new home was far better than Twitch. In an exclusive interview with The Washington Post, DrLupo revealed the main reason why he decided to switch, explaining it was simple as them making him an offer he “couldn’t refuse” because it “secured the bag” for his family. “The financial situation that YouTube presented me, without a doubt is like, you know, I’m secure for life. Everybody’s trying to get to that point. Why would I say no to that?” he said. “Everybody’s just trying to secure the bag, right? There’s no shame in that. That’s literally why everybody gets up and goes to work, right?” It’s not all about the money, though. The deal also means he can afford to spend less time streaming and more time focusing on himself and his family, which he described as “crazy important.” DrLupo admitted that the switch means he’s gone from a “pretty big fish in a lake” to a “little fish in the ocean.” However, he is adamant that the pros will outweigh the cons and believes it will present new opportunities. “There’s so much room to grow and there are so many opportunities to do incredible things with all sorts of content creators on YouTube,” he said.” I think people underestimate the size of the platform and how much you can do with it.”

DrLupo revisits moment he first met Ninja with epic PUBG grenade kill Twitter: DrLupo / PUBG CorpBen ‘PUBG. Since the release of Fortnite Battle Royale, both Dr Lupo and Ninja have become megastars on Twitch, regularly drawing thousands of viewers to their channels as they battle their way to a victory royale. The pair are often seen playing together, and creating hysterical moments for their respective audiences and with that in mind, DrLupo has taken fans back to the first time he ever encountered the former Halo pro player. 600Ninja gets destroyed by DrLupo on PUBG While DrLupo and Ninja are friends now, their very first encounter came as opponents, with the two streamers facing off on PUBG hoping to be named ‘Winner Winner Chicken Dinner’. As Ninja sat on top of a building in Pochinki, he spotted an enemy player running wildly through the grass, with seemingly no regard for what, or more specifically who, could be waiting for him. Eyeing up his target, Ninja pulled out his rifle and began peppering the player with bullets, seemingly doing a lot of damage to the player. Bizarrely, instead of pulling out their weapon and firing back, the mysterious player cooked a grenade and lobbed it at Ninja, timing the projectile perfectly so that it exploded right in front of the stunned streamer, who could only laugh. As the “Better luck next time!” screen loaded up, the name of the player who so brutally eliminated him from the game appeared on the screen: “DrLupo.” Before you go to sleep, enjoy a video of how I first met @Ninja. pic.twitter.com/Hj7sGKr0wA — DrLupo (@DrLupo) May 24, 2019 Nowadays, the idea of the two playing against each other seems foreign, with the pair more regularly spotted teaming up on Fortnite Battle Royale with other fan-favorite streamers like Jack ‘CouRageJD’ Dunlop or Tim ‘Timthetatman’ Betar. One thing is for sure though, no matter how long their friendship lasts, both will always know that DrLupo had the better of Ninja in their first ever encounter.

DrLupo shares emotional reaction to raising insane amount of money for charity – Dexerto
DrLupo shares emotional reaction to raising insane amount of money for charity Guardian Con, Twitch / FreepikPopular Fortnite player Ben ‘DrLupo’ Lupo is more than just an internet personality – he’s used his online fame to raise millions of dollars for charity, and now, he’s done it again in a mere four hours. DrLupo teamed up with Florida-based gaming convention and charity event Guardian Con in late June, announcing his plans to hold a marathon stream to raise $1 million for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, an organization founded to benefit children suffering from cancer and other terminal illnesses. Of course, it wasn’t just any old stream: DrLupo also promised hilarious rewards for each goal met by his charity drive, as well as giving himself some extra, in-game challenges, and even holding an-off stream raffle. Tell everyone you know. Retweet to spread the word. We have records to break. June 23rd, 8 AM – Noon Eastern. https://t.co/rYY8i7G8xo.️:purple_heart: pic.twitter.com/FtUIPidDTs — DrLupo (@DrLupo) June 19, 2019 From 8 AM to 12 PM, DrLupo’s four-hour block on June 23 saw incredible involvement from his viewerbase – resulting in a whopping $920,343.98 raised for charity within that time frame. Understandably, the streamer had an emotional reaction to the amount raised, appearing to hold back tears while thanking his fanbase for donating to the organization. “Thank you,” DrLupo said. “Thank you so much, to every single person that’s donated. To every single person that’s supported St. Jude. To every single person that’s gonna be at Guardian Con. To every single person that freakin’ loves gaming. And most importantly, from top to bottom, St. Jude.” The streamer went on to thank viewers who weren’t able to donate, ending his stream by joking that he would need to take a break to “cry a little bit.” DrLupo’s insane charity stream was met with praise from other major personalities across the net, with the likes of YouTuber Seán ‘Jacksepticeye’ McLoughlin and Fortnite pro Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney offering him their congratulations. “Goated,” Tfue wrote in response to DrLupo’s Tweet on the subject. “Absolutely mind blowing!” Jacksepticeye replied. “Insane,” caster Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop said of the matter. “Love ya, Ben.” This wouldn’t be the first time DrLupo has raised an incredible amount for St. Jude’s, by far: in fact, the streamer managed to raise over $1 million for the organization in late 2018, after holding a 24-hour livestream in December. DrLupo is one of Twitch’s most popular content creators, boasting over three million followers on the site as of June 23.

DrLupo re-signs with YouTube for another year: “I ain’t leaving” – Dexerto
DrLupo re-signs with YouTube for another year: “I ain’t leaving” YouTube: DrLupo ExtendedStreaming star DrLupo revealed that he’s re-signed with YouTube for another year after switching to the platform from Twitch back in 2021, saying he “ain’t leaving” the site yet. DrLupo is one of the internet’s most prolific streamers, having been named as one of the internet’s top 25 most influential creators by TIME Magazine. The broadcaster has raised millions of dollars for charities like St. Jude’s, and has accrued nearly two million subscribers on YouTube on top of his 4.5 million followers on Twitch. In August 2021, Lupo famously switched from streaming on Twitch to YouTube, and has been exclusively broadcasting on the site ever since. DrLupo to remain streaming on YouTube after re-signing with platform It doesn’t look like he’s leaving anytime soon, as he recently revealed that he re-signed with the platform just last month. In an August live stream, Lupo dropped a casual nugget of information for his viewers, saying during a game of Escape from Tarkov: “We went ahead and re-signed with YouTube for another year, just so you know.” “You’ve got me for another year,” he added. “Better f*ckin’ enjoy it. I wanted to double-check to make sure I could tell ya. But yeah, we re-upped for another one, so I ain’t leavin’.” Lupo explained that he wasn’t going to post about it, but preferred to quietly pass the news to his fans during that stream. This marks Lupo’s third year streaming exclusively with YouTube — a move that he initially described as one that would allow him to be “secure for life.” “The financial situation that YouTube presented me, without a doubt is like, you know, I’m secure for life,” he said in an interview with the Washington Post. “Everybody’s trying to get to that point. Why would I say no to that?” he said. It looks like Lupo is in for another lucrative year of streaming on YouTube — although it’s currently unclear where his plans will take him after that.

DrLupo raises over $2 million for St. Jude Hospital in 24 hour stream – Dexerto
DrLupo raises over $2 million for St. Jude Hospital in 24 hour stream Benjamin ‘DrLupo’ Lupo has raised over $2 million for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, after completing an incredible 24-hour Twitch stream. DrLupo is one of the biggest names on Twitch, known for his Fortnite talents and streams with other Twitch personalities, such as Timothy ‘TimTheTatman’ Betar and Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins. One of the most generous Twitch stars, DrLupo is also known for his charity work, particularly with the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, a pediatric hospital and research facility focusing on cancer in children. Despite costing roughly $2.8million a day to run, the hospital does not charge patients. A number of prominent Twitch creators donated generously to the cause. Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins came in with $30,000, while TimTheTatman and CouRageJD both donated $5,000. Despite the mammoth numbers reached, Lupo was keen to stress his thanks to anyone who donated, regardless of the amount. It was ultimately a donation from fellow streamer ‘Wildcat’, who donated $16,420.69 to push the total to upwards of $1,000,000. “Wildcat!” exclaimed Lupo. “With $16,420.69! My man! One million dollars for St. Jude, in less than 24 hours, and we’re not done yet. Do not stop. I wanna see how close we can get to the top of this thing.” The incredible total was reached with roughly 80 minutes left on the livestream, meaning the final total was way over $1,000,000, not to mention sales from DrLupo’s merchandise also contributing to the total. Lupo managed the same astounding feat back in 2018, when he and his wife became emotional after hitting the $1 million mark. The recreation of the previous success is a testament to both Dr Lupo and the gaming community, who have come together once again for a fantastic cause. As Lupo promised, he donated $25,000 to match the amount over $1,000,000. This took the total past $1.1 million, with an hour of the stream left. The clip above also shows the top 50 donors, in which a host of personalities and organizations feature. Update: To push the total amount over $2 million, Twitch itself donated a whopping $1 million to the cause. Among others, fans will recognize RektGlobal, the organization behind CoD’s London Royal Ravens, LazarBeam, the popular Australian YouTuber, and Logitech, computer software manufacturers. The biggest donation, at the time of writing, came from CCKun91, a small Twitch streamer. He donated an eye-watering $37,777.77. Across 2018, the total raised for St. Jude’s was just over $1.3million. Lupo has managed to beat that in only 24 hours this time around. Once again, the gaming community has demonstrated how it can come together for a good cause. Congratulations to DrLupo on achieving another incredible charity stream.

DrLupo leaves Twitch for exclusive YouTube Gaming deal – Dexerto
DrLupo leaves Twitch for exclusive YouTube Gaming deal DrLupoStreamer Benjamin ‘DrLupo’ Lupo is officially leaving Twitch in favor of YouTube Gaming, joining the likes of 100 Thieves’ CouRage and Valkyrae. Following an August 27 tweet teasing something new, the now-former Twitch streamer has made an official announcement. He’s signed an exclusive contract with YouTube Gaming. https://twitter.com/DrLupo/status/1432388183275229190?s=20 Having already built up a sizeable following of 1.7 million subscribers on the rival streaming platform, DrLupo may be off to a great start when he does his first official stream on August 31, 2021. Read More: TikTok is now allowing 5 Minute Videos – According to a report from The Verge, DrLupo has suggested that the platform will also help him as he expands his brand through other entertainment initiatives, possibly suggesting that there is more to YouTube streaming than we currently know. Why did DrLupo leave Twitch? In an interview with The Washington Post, Lupo stated a few reasons why he would leave Twitch for another platform. Despite not disclosing the terms of his exclusive deal, he stated that it was a life-changing proposition. In a quote from the interview, Ben states: “Family time is crazy important, [as is] reducing the amount of pressure because mental health is crazy important, Everybody’s just trying to secure the bag, right? There’s no shame in that. That’s literally why everybody gets up and goes to work, right? So of course, the financial situation that YouTube presented me without a doubt is like, you know, I’m secure for life. Everybody’s trying to get to that point. Why would I say no to that?” The interview also states that Lupo will put more effort into pre-recorded content, allowing him to spend more time with his family. He goes on to mention that his family has a few trips coming up, which would allow the creator to upload more ‘behind the scenes’ vlog content as he wishes. Among the reasons he signed with YouTube, DrLupo also cited that Twitch’s recent influx of hate raids also helped motivate him to show that other platforms can be a viable option. When is DrLupo’s first YouTube stream? Shortly after announcing his move to Google’s streaming platform, DrLupo tweeted his start date for his new platform as August 31, 2021.

DrLupo pokes fun at Dream fans still supporting him after Minecraft cheating scandal – Dexerto
DrLupo pokes fun at Dream fans still supporting him after Minecraft cheating scandal Rektglobal / Twitter, @dreamwastakenBenjamin Lupo — known better around the internet as DrLupo — isn’t just one of the highest earners for St Jude Children Hospital. He’s also known for cracking jokes while streaming Escape From Tarkov on Twitch. With over 4.5 million followers on Twitch and over 2 million dollars raised for St Jude, DrLupo may be known for his immense love for charity fundraisers, but that doesn’t mean that’s all he does. Outside of charity streams, the streamer jumps around between Escape From Tarkov, Apex Legends, Phasmophobia, and indie games like Tribes of Midgard. Cheating in Escape From Tarkov In his August 12 Tarkov stream and during his first raid of the day, Lupo mentions that he’s happy that he hasn’t died to a cheater. Unfortunately over the last few weeks, Tarkov players have been complaining about blatant ESP hacks. These ESP hacks give cheaters wall hacks that allow them to shoot at enemies through buildings. While talking about the cheating problem in the game, Lupo goes on to create a fictional cheating situation, referencing “a little bit of aim-bot” and “a little bit of wall hacks.” Shortly after, he turns to his chat and asks: “Would you guys leave? or would you be like Dream’s fans and stay” referencing the Minecraft creators speed-running controversy, including how his fans stuck by his side the entire time. Who exactly is “Dream”? Minecraft YouTuber Dream — with over 20 million subscribers on the platform — is mostly known for his faceless persona and his “DreamSMP” game server with a celeb-packed player list. Unfortunately, he’s also known for cheating in a speed-running controversy, where he was found to have a plugin on his game which gave him an increased drop rate of items during a recorded speed-run. The YouTuber has dealt with backlash since admitting to his mistake, including from fellow YouTuber, PewDiePie. Now, Lupo has added on, poking a little fun at the streamer during his Tarkov session.

DrLupo is making his son play older video games – Dexerto
DrLupo is making his son play older video games Popular Twitch streamer Ben ‘DrLupo’ Lupo admitted that he is making his son, Charlie, play though the older generation of games, as told in an interview with Business Insider on November 1. Lupo feels that starting the younger generation of players with newer, high-definition titles will make them unappreciative of the advancement in technology and graphics. “If you stick a kid in front of all of these super-high-resolution games with tons of polygons – put him front of ‘Fortnite’ – he won’t appreciate back when it was 8-bit, and all the audio was done on MIDI,” Lupo said to BI. He likewise wants his son to appreciate the history of gaming, itself, and claimed that he would make Charlie play the entire lineup of Nintendo’s titles before getting him started on newer games. “I want him to have an appreciation for the history of how I got to where I am now,” he continued. “He’ll play Nintendo’s entire lineup before he starts getting too crazy.” Three-year-old Charlie has been featured on Lupo’s streams many times, and will likely take up Ben’s mantle of the ‘Lupo family business’ – should he choose to follow in his father’s footsteps. Lupo himself is open to the possibility of a family legacy in streaming, provided that Charlie looks to do ‘something positive’ with his intent. Lupo isn’t the only one to have thought of a streaming family business, either. Notable streamer TimTheTatMan likewise mentioned something similar during a livestreamed gender reveal of his as-yet unborn son, where he joked that he might keep the name ‘Tim’ in the family for a probable streaming enterprise.

Benefiting St. Jude.”

DrLupo hits out at YouTube clickbait following a frustrating Fortnite Winter Royale stream – Dexerto
DrLupo hits out at YouTube clickbait following a frustrating Fortnite Winter Royale stream Popular Twitch streamer DrLupo has defended himself following a stream where he was visibly frustrated at both his chat and gameplay. The American personality has climbed the ranks on Twitch over the course of 2018 and has enjoyed considerable success alongside the likes of Ninja, TimTheTatMan, and Courage. The professional Fortnite caster is known for his jovial attitude and generally light-hearted streams, but because he’s human, that isn’t always the case. While streaming the Fortnite Winter Royale qualifiers, DrLupo was visibly and audibly frustrated at his gameplay, and as a result he started to let the trolls in his chat get the better of him. A number of clips surfaced in YouTube compilation videos by the likes of TwitchCentral, which showed the streamer threatening to ban his chat for telling him to lighten up, and reading out a Tweet from a viewer who claimed he’d no longer watch him anymore because he was toxic. DrLupo has since responded to the YouTube channels who put together the clips, claiming that they don’t provide enough context of why he was frustrated. Highly competitive game play gets people on edge. Streamers included. Myself included. It makes some of us hot headed. I’m definitely guilty of letting things get to me from time to time, but I’ve also always been the person to defend myself. — DrLupo (@DrLupo) November 26, 2018 Stupid people don’t know they are stupid until you tell them. That being said, please remember context is important. Shit tier click-bait YouTube channels will do everything they can for views. They are basically the Vanity Fair of internet content right now. — DrLupo (@DrLupo) November 26, 2018 They also censor things you say, as seen in this picture. 6 hours ago, no replies, no likes/dislikes. They’re basically trash. That being said, sorry to anyone who got offended by what you saw on other people’s YT channels. Remember there is always context. pic.twitter.com/ARmbFJL77S — DrLupo (@DrLupo) November 26, 2018 This isn’t the first time a streamer has hit out at YouTube compilation videos for portraying a narrative that will gain more viewers. Unfortunately for DrLupo, his frustration ended up being in vain as he failed to qualify for the Winter Royale tournament due to not getting enough points.

DrLupo Has Some Advice for Viewers Contacting Him to Say They’re Feeling Suicidal – Dexerto
DrLupo Has Some Advice for Viewers Contacting Him to Say They’re Feeling Suicidal Lightning PandasOne of the most popular Twitch streamers, Ben “DrLupo” Lupo has grown significantly with the emergence of Fortnite Battle Royale, and now streams to tens of thousands of viewers everyday. With such a large audience, DrLupo comes across people in all sorts of situations and going through different struggles. Viewers who are having suicidal thoughts, depression, etc. are alarmingly common, prompting Lupo to address it via social media. It is also the case that Lupo’s audience varies greatly in age range, and with Fortnite being so accessible to very young players and Lupo running a family-friendly stream, he is likely often speaking to children or teenagers when receiving these messages. It’s not just about protecting and helping the viewers sending these messages. Part of the reason Lupo has spoken up, especially for large streamers who get these messages frequently, is because it “takes a toll” on the streamer too. To make matters worse, often the easiest or only way to communicate with a large streamer while they are live is by donating, so to grab the streamers attention as opposed to the message being lost in a busy chat. Because a viewer has then donated, streamers will feel an obligation of sorts to respond to their message meaningfully, as a way of thanks. But when a donation asks for advice when feeling suicidal, it can be difficult for a streamer to know how to properly respond – as DrLupo explains, they are not therapists. Please find a professional to talk to if you need an ear. Therapists exist for a reason, and they are damn good at what they do. I know it doesn’t work for everyone, but it’s a start. Streamers are not therapists. We care, but it takes a toll. — DrLupo (@DrLupoOnTwitch) July 10, 2018 It is not the first time DrLupo has addressed this issue, as he has previously spoken directly to viewers live on stream to give them the same advice – seek professional help. Another issue which large streamers often have are donations which are effectively trolls, telling a terrible story of suicide and depression, but it being completely false and simply an attempt to dupe the streamer into believing it. This makes it even more difficult to respond when someone is making a genuine plea, as the streamer must discern the trolls from the real messages.

DrLupo briefly banned on Mixer for impersonating himself – Dexerto
DrLupo briefly banned on Mixer for impersonating himself Epic Games / MixerSuperstar Twitch streamer Ben ‘DrLupo‘ Lupo was temporarily banned on Microsoft’s streaming platform Mixer for impersonation. Mixer has been in the headlines over the past few days after Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins recently made the switch to the platform from Twitch and will stream exclusively on there for the foreseeable future. However, for Ninja’s good friend DrLupo, the experience with Mixer has been less than ideal, after the popular personality found his account banned on August 4. According to an email sent to him on the matter, access to his account had been removed after their investigation led to the conclusion that he was trying to impersonate DrLupo, despite the account owner and the streamer being one and the same person. “On a more hilarious note for the day, I just got banned from Mixer for impersonation of myself,” he tweeted. On a more hilarious note for the day, I just got banned from @WatchMixer for impersonation of myself. LMAO pic.twitter.com/Frt31Kh5nO — DrLupo (@DrLupo) August 4, 2019 According to Mixer’s official Rules of User Conduct, impersonation is considered a “more extreme” rule violation, and those found guilty have a “much higher chance of resulting in a global ban.” Do not impersonate staff or other streamers. Having similar names is not automatically impersonation but should be avoided especially if one of the users is a partner, staff or other “known” personality. Of course, considering that this instance was clearly not one of those cases, Mixer removed the ban on the account shortly thereafter, likely embarrassed after having been called out on their awkward mistake in front of over a million of DrLupo’s Twitter followers. In light of Ninja’s recent switch to Mixer, many were quick to jump to conclusions upon seeing Lupo’s tweet, even questioning whether he was allowed to have an account on the platform, considering that he was such a prominent Twitch partner. However, the streamer clarified that he was allowed to make an account, as long as it was for talking in chats, which was corroborated with an affirmative response from Mixer’s own Twitter account. “I just have an account so I can talk in people’s chats,” he explained. “That’s allowed, and frankly, probably encouraged.”

DrLupo condemns claims his Twitch community is “racist” and toxic – Dexerto
DrLupo condemns claims his Twitch community is “racist” and toxic ReKTGlobalPopular Twitch streamer Benjamin ‘DrLupo’ Lupo has felt compelled to reiterate his stance against hate on Twitch, amid claims his community is growing increasingly toxic and “racist”. The last few years have seen DrLupo launched into the most followed accounts on Twitch, thanks mainly to his time on Epic Games’ Fortnite, often alongside Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins. However, such a monumental following brings issues, often in the form of individuals intentionally being toxic and making offensive remarks. This is something DrLupo has struggled with of late, with some members of the Twitch community accusing his following of being “racist.” One Tweet accused Lupo of not doing enough to combat the toxicity among his followers, to which the streamer responded, asking: “You’re telling me I’m responsible for the thousands of random people that I don’t know?” On October 30, a moderator for DrLupo’s Twitch shared a lengthy look at the channel’s history of combatting racism and hate in chat. The Google document, entitled Words, is designed to show the extensive amount of work Lupo and his mods go to in order to keep his community as hate-free as possible. Examples given show messages from banned users, as well as messages dating back to 2016, in which DrLupo outlines what is not acceptable among his community. The mod – Twitter user IC1415 – finished his explanation: “To those who would say that silence is happening, I humbly present this in an effort to show that we are not silent on this matter, we actively go after those in the community who bring these hateful words and remove them as swiftly as we can… I, alongside all of the moderation team, stand firmly against racism and wholly believe that it has no place in our community or more expansively, our society.” I want to say something about @DrLupo and his community: https://t.co/S1BQMEYRKb — IC1415 (@IC1415) October 31, 2020 In response to IC’s statement, DrLupo said: “Racism, as always, will never be allowed in my community. Standing up for people is not a “trend” for me. I was raised better than that. Read this. All of it. Be kind to each other.” He also clarified that he did not ask the mod to put the document together, but that they did so of their own accord. Note – I did not ask IC to put this together. I didn’t know he was doing this until part way through Animal Talking tonight. As I’ve said before, and will always say – I will learn more about how I can help to make the world a better place. All we have is each other. ❤️💜 — DrLupo (@DrLupo) October 31, 2020 The document has been viewed widely, with many commending DrLupo’s response to the issues surrounding a small minority of his followers. It’s clear that he is taking a zero-tolerance policy to toxicity and racism within his fan-base, and his mods are right by his side.

DrLupo admits he’s been struggling with streaming but the reason might surprise you – Dexerto
DrLupo admits he’s been struggling with streaming but the reason might surprise you DrLupoBen ‘DrLupo’ Lupo is one of the most popular streamers on the planet but the likable gamer has revealed that he sometimes wonders whether he wasn’t meant to get to where he has. DrLupo saw his popularity skyrocket in 2018 as he became one of the main faces of Fortnite Battle Royale – the game that has taken the world by storm since its release in September of 2017. Now the 31-year-old is within the top 15 most followed streamers on Twitch with almost 2.5 million followers to his name as well as a million subscribers on YouTube. But with that many fans there will, of course, by some people that get a kick out of trolling or insulting him. The trolls he can deal with, he says, but there are some criticisms that get to him. “Sorry I let shit get to me sometimes. I’m pretty sensitive, and I often times take things to heart when well spoken people state negative opinions about me or my channel,” he said in a recent Twitter statement. “Ignoring trolls is easy, don’t worry. I mean real opinions.” Getting ripped into gets old. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again – maybe I wasn’t meant for popularity. I dunno. I understand fully why people get burnt out. I’m fine though. Just need to get some sleep. — DrLupo (@DrLupoOnTwitch) September 28, 2018 He went on to explain that “Getting ripped into gets old,” and even said that he sometimes questions whether he is cut out for the life of a super-successful streamer: “I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again – maybe I wasn’t meant for popularity.” He concluded by saying that he understands “why some people get burnt out,” before saying that he’s fine and will probably feel better after a good night’s sleep. Streamer’s getting “burnt out” is a common occurrence and one that many struggle with at one point or another, especially when dealing with constant criticism, but the response to DrLupo questioning whether he was meant for popularity was met with a resounding “YOU ARE” by the streaming and gaming community. TSM’s Daequan, FaZe Clan’s Nate Hill and Call of Duty pro James ‘Replays’ Crowder all weighed in on the subject, reminding DrLupo that he is “inspiring” and “one of the most genuine people” in the entire scene. You wouldn’t be where you are if you weren’t cut out for it brother! You got this. There will always be ppl who approve of you, and ppl who critique or disapprove. Just gotta do what makes you happy and keep pushing. Health, Happiness, Friends & Family is everything! — Daequan (@TSM_Daequan) September 28, 2018

DrLupo and James Charles named among top 25 most influential internet stars – Dexerto
DrLupo and James Charles named among top 25 most influential internet stars DrLupo / Instagram: James CharlesTIME Magazine has release their fifth annual list of the 25 most influential people on the internet, and joining the likes of Donald Trump and Ariana Grande is a handful of YouTubers and Twitch streamers. TIME explains that their list is based on “global impact on social media” and “overall ability to drive news.” Unsurprisingly, US President Donald Trump tops the list, and was joined by political foe Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. The man behind the GoFundMe to raise money for Trump’s US-Mexico border wall – which has racked up over $25 million in donations – Brian Kolfage, also earned a spot, and political commentator Ben Shapiro also got a nod. But, outside of the politics, largely the list was a who’s who of entertainers. Music artists like Ariana Grande, Cardi B and Lil Nas X earn their spots likely due to their tendency to go viral and massive social media followings. K-Pop group BTS also made the list, and actress Jada Pinkett-Smith, but some of the internet made stars will be the more contentious picks. YouTubers named included Emma Chamberlain and James Charles, but there was no space on the list for PewDiePie – despite being the most subscribed individual creator on the platform, and well ahead of anyone else, with almost 100 million subscribers. Representing the world of Twitch streaming was DrLupo, the variety streamer best known for Fortnite, who raised millions for children’s hospital St. Judes in 2019. Lupo may not be the biggest streamer on the platform if you judge it purely on numbers – in fact, his 3.3 million followers is only good enough for 10th on the overall ranking – but his influence is measured in more ways than raw metrics. In one of the more bizarre entries, the man behind the viral ‘egg’ Instagram account and post also made the list, after his picture of an egg overtook Kylie Jenner for the most-liked post ever. It certainly got people talking, but Jury is still out on why it’s more influential than PewDiePie in 2019. Another controversial pick is that of Carlos Maza, the Vox journalist who took aim first ‘right-wing commentator’ Steven Crowder, and then YouTube as a whole, for not doing enough about hateful content on the site. YouTube since said they would review their policies on the matter. There are some eyebrow-raising omissions (and inclusions for that matter) from TIME’s 25 most influential people on the internet list, but all-in-all it sums up how the past year of the internet has gone. Whether it’s the President of the United States or a viral egg, there’s nothing more influential than the internet itself in 2019.

DrLupo announces all Twitch tips will be donated to charity – Dexerto
DrLupo announces all Twitch tips will be donated to charity DrLupoBenjamin ‘DrLupo’ Lupo is no stranger to philanthropy, but now he’s kicked it to a whole new level and decided to donate all future tips on his Twitch channel to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. [jwplayer Xo8okBKe] Popular streamers are widely considered to be a force for good. They entertain the masses and create tight-knit communities, and some have even made an effort to give something back. Iman ‘Pokimane’ Anys, who was named the highest-earning female streamer this year, capped her donations to five dollars and urged fans to support other causes with the excess. Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg did something similar. Initially, he turned off donations completely. But then he had an even better idea. He turned them back on and started donating them all to charity. Now, DrLupo is doing the same. The 33-year-old American Twitch star has been one of the platform’s most philanthropic streamers. In 2018, he raised more than one million dollars for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Then, less than a year later, he doubled that and raised over two million dollars in a 24-hour stream. Now, he’s at it again. DrLupo is hosting yet another Build Against Cancer stream. It’s happening between December 19 and December 20, and all donations will go to the same cause. In addition, people can also buy an official t-shirt, with all proceeds donated to the cause. The sale numbers alone have already raised around $20,000, and it’s only going up. If that wasn’t enough, DrLupo has also gone above and beyond and made a permanent pledge. “Effective immediately, all tips to the channel will instead go directly to St. Jude via Tiltify,” he said. “This will be the case forever.” “I’m incredibly lucky to have a community that has chosen to support me, my family, and many wonderful causes for so many years,” he added. “Helping those in need, like the children at St. Jude who fight cancer every day, is very important to me.” December 19th – 20th Benefiting @StJude. pic.twitter.com/InAzm9j3Kg — DrLupo (@DrLupo) November 20, 2020 Last but not least, DrLupo also said he’s working with sponsors to organize prizes that will be given to random viewers who made a donation each month. It’s a way to give back to his community as well as thank viewers for supporting the cause. In the end, nobody expects streamers to be charitable and philanthropic, even the most successful ones. It isn’t a requirement after all. But people are thrilled to see so many of them lift their game, and the support has been tremendous.

Driver responds to road rage by Fortnite dancing in the middle of street – Dexerto
Driver responds to road rage by Fortnite dancing in the middle of street TikTok: barstoolsports / Epic GamesA large, burly red truck started to honk frustratedly at a man struggling to deal with bustling city traffic. So, the victim of the road rage got out of his car and started doing Fortnite dances. Fortnite, which was recently updated with 26.10 patch notes, is loved by players for its blend of fast-paced and competitive gameplay and fun and goofy emotes. Dances featured in the game in its beta and have continued to be loved by players as the developers add in more and more viral dances as Fortnite evolves – like the Gangnam style dance and viral TikTok Dreya Mac dance. But it was a rare sight for fans of Fortnite when a pedestrian got out of their car and started to do Fortnite emotes. Pedestrian emotes on Truck Barstool Sports re-posted the video, captioned “bro couldn’t stop emoting.” The giant red truck began loudly honking in frustration at a stationary car in front of it. But then the man in the car opened his car door and started “spamming emotes” that looked suspiciously similar to emotes featured in Fortnite. Furthermore, the dancing man didn’t stop emoting after five seconds. As aptly captioned, “Bro couldn’t stop emoting,” and he kept emoting as he crept ever closer to the driver’s door of the red car. During this time, the filmer of the video who sat looking through their apartment window couldn’t hold in their laugh and began chuckling at their boyfriend as he goads the road rager with his Fortnite emotes. Reaction to the IRL Fortnite emotes Viewers found the whole situation hilarious and imagined themselves in the truck driver’s position. “Imagine how confused the truck driver was,” one commented, “I would have pushed the car out the way lmfao” another added. Others immediately referenced the dancing to video games like Fortnite, similar to when players clutch up a victory royale and start spamming emotes, “He definitely earned a trophy 🏆 and some XP for that!” People praised the man for his bold reaction to the traffic incident, “That’s gotta be a top 10 power move,” but for in-game players of Fortnite, spamming emotes hasn’t always gone so well.

Drivers go viral after road rage turns into brawl in the middle of highway – Dexerto
Drivers go viral after road rage turns into brawl in the middle of highway OPP Highway Safety DivisionTwo drivers in Toronto went viral after their road rage transformed into a wrestling match that took up an entire highway. We all get a bit heated behind the wheel from time to time, but these two drivers in particular took things way too far. During some evening rush hour traffic, two men got out of their cars and ended up wrestling each other to the ground on September 12 earlier this week. It’s currently unknown what caused the two men to become so angry and start fighting each other, but local law enforcement warned that anyone who saw similar behavior should report it to the police. Highway brawl goes viral in Toronto One local police officer took to social media to describe what had happened between the two men. Sergeant Kerry Schmidt said: “You know you’re having a bad day when you find yourself rolling around on the highway, fighting with someone else who you became annoyed with. “This is something that should never be happening. People may have a short fuse, but this could trun violent, it could turn deadly. You don’t know what’s going to happen its really not worth it. You spent more time fighting than you did behind one car length. This is certainly unacceptable any time, anywhere.” For more news and updates on the weird places people have started fights, check out this British rapper who fought off two thieves in a gas station.

Drew Gooden roasts “terrible” TikTok reality show hosted by Alex Warren – Dexerto
Drew Gooden roasts “terrible” TikTok reality show hosted by Alex Warren YouTube: Drew Gooden/ AwesomenessTVYouTuber Drew Gooden has savagely roasted a YouTube reality show about TikTokers called Next Influencer and the results are hilarious. TikTokers are getting their own reality television shows left, right and center. The D’Amelio family will soon appear in their own show on Hulu later this year, and the Hype House even has a show coming to Netflix. But back in January, a reality show based on TikTokers has perhaps given a disturbing taste of what is to come and commentary YouTuber Drew Gooden certainly has some strong opinions on the series. It’s called Next Influencer, produced by AwesomenessTV which is also the company behind movies such as To All the Boys I Loved Before. Hosted by the Hype House’s Alex Warren, the show places ten TikTok creators into a house in Florida for ten days to complete challenges, and rank each other. The group of creators is called Project 305, they’re all from Miami and are tasked with proving they have the creativity and personalities to have what it takes to become “the next big influencer.” The clientele includes a 19-year-old who eats nine tiny packets of sugar for breakfast, and, contrastingly, a student called Raul who wants to become a dentist. Throughout, the contestants have to complete challenges which include throwing water balloons at each other, trivia, and TikTok duets, and the prize for each round? Getting advice from Alex Warren himself. Read More: How to use TikTok’s text-to-speech voice – Drew responds: “Is that going to be the prize every time? Not like a special dinner or an immunity idol, they just get to go ask David Dobrik Jr. one question,” before mockingly adding, “Thank you internet Sherpa, for you have shown me the way.” Drew continued to mock the frequent screaming and arguments, the fact that one guy wrote and allegedly produced a whole song about a girl after three days, and the strange decisions from the production company. He described the group of creators as “adult toddlers,” and “the physical embodiment of ‘if I just talk louder, that means I’m right.’” In reaction to the challenges, Drew sarcastically quipped: “I tell you, what a privilege it is for us to witness firsthand the nation’s best and brightest in action.” Drew concluded: “I was relieved while reading the comments that most people were also hate-watching this. I don’t think anyone was like, ‘Man, this is some quality shit right here.’” Although, ultimately he admitted it was a bit of an addictive watch. Let’s just hope that The D’Amelio Show and the Hype House series will be less painful to watch.

Drift0r & NICKMERCS vs EightThoughts drama: A story of YouTube strikes, SWATting & harassment – Dexerto
Drift0r & NICKMERCS vs EightThoughts drama: A story of YouTube strikes, SWATting & harassment YouTube: Drift0r / EightThoughts / NICKMERCSDrama has erupted among a group of Call of Duty content creators, with YouTuber EightThoughts at the center of it, after he accused NICKMERCS of falsely striking his channel. Fellow YouTuber Drift0r has weighed in, exposing EightThought’s alleged involvement in a harassment campaign against him. EightThoughts had made a handful of videos on his main channel, criticizing NICKMERCS for using exuberant facial expressions in his video thumbnails. As a result of these videos, EightThoughts’ YouTube channel was hit with a strike, which NICKMERCS has confirmed he was behind. On March 19, EightThoughts posted a video stating his channel was “done” as a result of the strikes, and has since started a new channel. NICKMERCS vs EightThoughts drama This sparked some backlash directed at NICKMERCS, as some fans of EightThoughts, and other YouTubers, argued that the strike was unjustified, and a “soft” response to criticism. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k1DdzOvmFjA When a clip surfaced of Nick discussing his strikes, in which he says “we took his channel down, as we should,” it sparked further controversy. However, despite Nick’s wording in the clip, he was not solely responsible for the channel being ‘taken down’, he simply issued a strike. He also disputed the reason for the strike, saying it was not directly about the thumbnail jokes. The channel is still available on YouTube, but EightThoughts has moved to a new one. EightThoughts shared the clip on Twitter: https://twitter.com/SweatyTesties/status/1378820787990196226 NICKMERCS responds to EightThoughts However, NICKMERCS has since claimed that he did not strike the channel because of the criticism of the thumbnails, but rather because EightThoughts told his viewers to brigade him with tweets and insults. This could be considered targetted harassment, and a violation of YouTube’s community guidelines. Read More: Corinna Kopf gives update on David Dobrik – On his Twitch stream, NICKMERCS accused EightThoughts of sending “a horde of people to other people’s accounts, and harassing them.” Nick also highlighted allegations made against EightThoughts from Drift0r. A criminal trial in which an individual known as “blu” was charged with various crimes relating to swatting Drift0r has recently concluded. Drift0r’s history with EightThoughts Although EightThoughts was not charged with any crime, Drift0r alleges that he was involved with Blu in efforts to Swat him, and that Blu even showed up at his house, armed and wearing a ski mask. Drift0r explains that Blu was a discord admin for EightThoughts. “Blu himself has told me he did it for money, he told me he is a troll for hire, and he personally doesn’t hate me […] but rather, EightThoughts was building a ‘troll team’ and planning to do all this kind of stuff.” On Twitter, EightThoughts denied his involvement in these incidents, and also claimed Drift0r had exaggerated their severity: “Stupid yes, not illegal. I told blu don’t.” https://twitter.com/SweatyTesties/status/1379161520689410049 Drift0r says that he has reached out to both Twitch and YouTube’s moderation team in the past, with complaints about EightThoughts, but that neither platform took action at the time. It is against community guidelines, both on Twitch and YouTube, to “harass” identifiable individuals. YouTube states you are not allowed to post “content that incites others to harass or threaten individuals on or off YouTube.” Read More: CallMeCarson resurfaces to DM Ludwig – This is believed to be the basis for the strikes levied against EightThoughts’ channel, both from NICKMERCS and Drift0r. Update April 6 Drift0r published a Twitter thread with clips of EightThoughts, as well as an apparent recorded conversation with Blu in order to prove his claims. Here’s a thread of videos where I prove my claims against Eight Thoughts & Blu. Most of this was publicly streamed on @Twitch & @TeamYouTube . Tagging some people for visibility: @KEEMSTAR @NICKMERCS @SweatyTesties @TheQuartering @JohnScarce The Hooker story: pic.twitter.com/oQEZDNcwxP — Drift0r (@Drift0r) April 6, 2021 In the thread, Blu can be heard saying “all I’m doing is trying to do get you [Drift0r] to snap. That’s all I’m trying to do, get you to have a meltdown.” Blu mentioned that EightThoughts was aware of the reasons for his actions against the YouTuber. Blu’s primary motive for creating trouble is purely for entertainment, he says. Drift0r expects to release more of the “10,000 files across 150GB” soon. Update April 8 Eight Thoughts ‘discord mod “Blu” who showed up to Drift0r’s house with a gun. Just said in interview 8Thoughts & him had a deal. 8thoughts would stream Blu going to Drift0r house on twitch & Blu would keep stream donations. 8Thoughts channels have been banned on YouTube. — KEEM 🍿 (@KEEMSTAR) April 8, 2021 Drama Alert’s KEEMSTAR reports that EightThoughts’ Discord mod, Blu, has confessed that there was a deal in place to pay for him to visit Drift0r’s home with a gun. This goes directly against EightThoughts’ former statement on the matter, in which he said “I told Blu, ‘don’t’.” As of yet, KEEMSTAR has not released any new information outside of this alleged confession and EightThoughts has not responded to this latest contradiction. We will keep this story updated as new developments unfold.

Drew Gooden explains why he’s “disappointed” in Juice WRLD lawsuit – Dexerto
Drew Gooden explains why he’s “disappointed” in Juice WRLD lawsuit Popular YouTuber, critic, and musician Drew Gooden is none too pleased with band Yellowcard’s lawsuit against the recently deceased rapper Juice WRLD, in spite of his passing. American rock band Yellowcard has decided to proceed with a lawsuit against Juice WRLD, who passed away on December 8, 2019 of a sudden seizure at just 21 years old. Yellowcard had originally filed a lawsuit against the rapper due to a similarity between their 2006 composition “Holly Wood Died” and Juice WRLD’s 2018 song, “Lucid Dreams,” claiming that the more recent track is “not only substantially similar to [Holly Wood Died], but in some places virtually identical.” While Juice WRLD later passed away, the band decided to go through with their suit, despite feeling reportedly “torn” about the controversial decision. YouTuber Drew Gooden, a longtime fan of Yellowcard, actively decried their continued lawsuit in a video uploaded on January 2, titled, “I’m Disappointed,” arguing that he couldn’t find any blatant similarities between the two songs. “Their original music, their first two albums especially, I listened to all the time,” Gooden said of Yellowcard. “I know these songs very well. They’re deeply ingrained into my brain. And when I heard ‘Lucid Dreams,’ I didn’t hear the song they’re suing him for allegedly ‘ripping off.’” The YouTuber went on to argue that there “doesn’t seem to be any loss involved” on Yellowcard’s part, and that ultimately, musicians are largely inspired by other artists – and even claimed that Yellowcard’s lawsuit was born out of desperation for money and relevancy. “…they’re so desperate for money that they’re willing to alter their legacy forever to make villains out of themselves, just for a small payday,” he continued. “…I saw ‘#f**kYellowcard’ all over Twitter for a few days, and it’s totally worth it to them, because they’re that desperate for money.” After kicking out their drummer in 2013 and signing to a record label famous for “Kidz Bop,” Gooden feels that the now-defunct band saw an opportunity for quick cash and took it — and while this motivation hasn’t been confirmed, its safe to say that Yellowcard’s lawsuit is earning them backlash across Juice WRLD’s fanbase.

Drew Gooden roasts Ninja’s “underwhelming” MasterClass after failing to launch streaming career – Dexerto
Drew Gooden roasts Ninja’s “underwhelming” MasterClass after failing to launch streaming career YouTuber Drew Gooden recently delved into the world of streaming using Ninja’s ‘How to be a Streamer’ MasterClass, but he didn’t find the results were worth the price of admission. The internet offers an endless number of online courses ranging from 10-minute YouTube tutorials to a degree’s worth of paid college classes. But that means there’s also a bottomless supply of subpar cash grab courses from celebrities and internet personalities. YouTuber Drew Gooden is known for buying questionable products and occasionally changing up his lifestyle for content. A few months ago he attempted to live a healthier life according to Tom Brady, which resulted in a month of suffering with little results. Now, Gooden has taken it into his own hands to put Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins’ streaming MasterClass to the test. The paid course that Ninja launched in March of 2022 was previously in the crosshairs of the streaming community for giving advice that might make viewers feel uncomfortable. Drew Gooden fails at streaming after taking Ninja’s class On July 31, Drew Gooden uploaded the video titled “I took Ninja’s MasterClass and it ruined my life.” In which, Gooden took Blevins’ “month-long” course that promises to help students build their streaming presence. In the first portion of Gooden’s video, he critiques the course calling it “underwhelming” and that it felt like there was a “general lack of caring from anyone involved.” From the editing to the advice given to Ninja’s frequent trailing off, Gooden quickly began to question whether the course was worth the $180 entry fee. On the positive side, Good felt that the course was frontloaded with helpful information regarding necessary equipment, setups for different price ranges, and how to set up OBS. But the back “half” of the course didn’t contain any real substance. The second half of the course was intended to teach streamers how to interact with their viewers and grow their audience. But Gooden showcased how it was essentially a highlight reel of Ninja’s greatest accomplishments that are unattainable for anyone new to streaming. But after the course, Gooden put all offerings to the test. Launching a new Twitch channel with zero promotion on his social media pages, Gooden – using the moniker ‘scoliosisking’ – went live for his first stream. His first seven streams would each last around 1-2 hours, and during that time he would gain a single follower. For his eighth broadcast, Gooden decided to go big with a 24-hour live stream playing a variety of games, dying his hair “Ninja blue”, and ending the spectacle with no followers gained. He revealed that ‘scoliosisking’ has streamed for a total of 40 hours across eight streams. During which 25-30 unique viewers popped in (normally for a few seconds at most) with three of them using chat (one of which was a scam bot). With a work-week’s worth of streaming and $180 down the drain, Gooden walked away from Twitch with a single follower. Drew concluded by urging those who want to learn from ‘Ninja’ to simply watch his live broadcasts. While other MasterClasses are from unique perspectives you can’t get anywhere else, the best way to learn how to be a streamer is just to watch streamers at work.

Drew Gooden is a popular YouTuber who typically makes comedic commentary-style videos commenting on current events or news from the online world. He’s also well-known for being the star of the viral “road work ahead” Vine. However, while he might comment on other YouTubers, he certainly isn’t immune to having to face up to his own actions in the eyes of his fans. On Monday, April 26 Drew posted a video to his Twitter drawing attention to a tweet by the YouTuber from 2016 which was a joke making fun of Asian people. According to Drew, the tweet had recently reemerged and prompted some of his fans to message him explaining that they were hurt by it. He said, “a few of you have been reaching out to me about a really shitty tweet I made in 2016 and I just want to publicly address it and apologize for it… I tried to make a joke that frankly doesn’t make sense, there’s no punchline it’s just two offensive stereotypes back to back. “I am baffled that I ever thought this was funny,” he added This is the laziest form of comedy that there is and I’m so sorry for making such a stupid insensitive tweet. I’m sorry to the Asian community, and specifically to Asian fans of mine who saw this and felt betrayed. He went on to explain why this tweet was wrong: “I want to make people laugh and feel good and this type of shit does the opposite because not only is it not funny but using these lazy racist stereotypes is harmful to the Asian community. Read More: xQc confirms plans for Twitch subathon – The YouTuber revealed that he had actually deleted that tweet a few months after it was first posted and had “regretted it ever since,” before concluding “it’s not up to me to tell you how I feel about it or expect you to forgive me I just wanted to apologize because I’m really ashamed of myself for this and I’m sorry for letting you guys down.” Following on from that tweet, Drew also announced that he would be donating $5,000 to three separate charities. I know it doesn’t undo what I said but I will also be donating $5,000 to each of these 3 organizations:https://t.co/DX86a0XENahttps://t.co/8PAowBHbQ9https://t.co/zY7lOSv1lD If there are any others that you’d like me to match this donation to, please let me know— Drew Gooden (@drewisgooden) April 26, 2021 It seems as though Drew has been met with a good reaction from his followers since he posted the apologies with one user responding: “As an Asian fan of your content (who didn’t know about that tweet), thank you for being sincere, making no excuses, and putting your money where your mouth is. You’re content after that point has proven your learned sensitivity, and more comedians should follow.” As an asian fan of your content (who didn’t know about that tweet), thank you for being sincere, making no excuses, and putting your money where your mouth is. You’re content after that point has proven your learned sensitivity, and more comedians should follow — [Lindsey] (@linsandco) April 26, 2021 As far as YouTuber apologies go, this one seems to be relatively drama-free.

Dream’s Neck Reveal becomes strangest Twitter trend ever after MrBeast’s Rewind – Dexerto
Dream’s Neck Reveal becomes strangest Twitter trend ever after MrBeast’s Rewind dreambranding.com / YouTube: MrBeastThe phrase ‘Neck Reveal’ was one of the biggest trends on Twitter on New Year’s Day, after Minecraft YouTuber Dream made an appearance in MrBeast’s YouTube rewind. But, he managed to reveal just a portion of his neck in a ‘face reveal’ prank. Faceless YouTubers have become somewhat of a phenomenon in the past year, with intrigue surrounding creators who only reveal their voice amping up ten-fold after Corpse Husband’s explosion in popularity. Dream is another example of a content creator who chooses not to show his face, instead he’s fronted by a simple stickman and a vibrant green color that has become iconic among his fans, and instantly recognizable. The Minecraft YouTuber has experienced an unprecedented rise in his following, going from one million subscribers to over 15 million subscribers within the space of just a year. He continues to increase that following via his huge Minecraft SMP server which has become extraordinarily popular on social media. Fans grew excited when Dream announced he would be “starting 2021 off with a bang,” in MrBeast’s 2021 YouTube rewind posting a video of him holding a board over his face that hinted he would do a face reveal. Almost instantly the phrase “He’s Real” trended, with fans surprised to see what is presumed to be the YouTuber in the flesh for the first time. However, there were mixed feelings when in the rewind video he took the board away to reveal a balloon with a face on it instead of his real face in a perfect prank. Topic starts at 5:00 Instead, Dream simply revealed a section of his neck, and fans quickly started making memes out of it on Twitter, and the joke was so popular that it started trending on the site within minutes. https://twitter.com/H0NKJ0SETTE/status/1345118638064467970 https://twitter.com/honkkam/status/1345115997938835461 People also wrote their own hilarious versions of the descriptions Twitter uses when a topic trends. https://twitter.com/ooerscooer/status/1345122295392710656 Fans also started making jokes about his Nike shoes, leading Dream to comment on the bizarre reaction to his MrBeast rewind cameo. Dream’s song ‘Roadtrip’ debuts on Spotify chart as streaming figures revealed – Dexerto
Dream’s song ‘Roadtrip’ debuts on Spotify chart as streaming figures revealed Dream/Unsplash – Matt DuncanAs a gigantic Minecraft Twitch streamer and leader of the game’s biggest SMP, Dream has expanded his horizons into the world of music. His debut single, Roadtrip, has debuted at #67 on the US Spotify chart. Very few content creators enjoyed a surge in popularity in 2020 quite like Dream. Capitalizing on the success of his Minecraft Manhunt series, he created the Dream SMP: a survival multiplayer map that has seen some of Twitch and YouTube’s biggest stars battle it out on one Minecraft server. Since then, he’s become an icon of internet culture. The absence of knowledge of what he looks like is one of the biggest mysteries, to the point his fan-dubbed ‘neck reveal’ became one of the weirdest trends of 2021. Dream looked to capitalize on his newfound popularity by releasing his first music single, “Roadtrip.” As well as going viral on YouTube, it debuted on Spotify, and has completely exploded. Released on Friday 5 February, Dream’s first single, Roadtrip, which was created in collaboration with PmBata, dropped on Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube. A day later, it debuted on the Spotify US charts at #67, with 375,000 streams. .@dream and @parkerbata’s “”Roadtrip”” debuts at #67 on the US Spotify chart with 357K streams. — chart data (@chartdata) February 6, 2021 Its success wasn’t limited to the United States, however. PmBata revealed the single had reached 2.81million streams worldwide, with over 300k unique listeners. Pretty impressive stuff. i know the data isn’t updated for y’all yet, so lemme just show you guys what we on rn… @Spotify pic.twitter.com/LtMCuOtnhn — PmBata (@parkerbata) February 6, 2021 The song has, as expected, blown up on YouTube too, with over 2.3 million views at the time of writing, in only a few days. One fan even made a playlist consisting of just Roadtrip 125 times over. With fans as dedicated as this, it’s easy to see how this song has accumulated so many streams. Who knows how far this song will end up rising in the charts, but there’s little to suggest it couldn’t reach the upper echelons. While it’s naturally hyped up because it’s Dream, the song itself is actually pretty catchy and also short – making it easy to relisten to. Whether this will be a one-off, or if Dream will go on to produce more music alongside his Minecraft content is also unclear. But with the success he’s seeing so far, who knows what the future will bring. His fellow content creator, Corpse Husband, also makes music, although he has been critical of Spotify for not featuring his music in playlists.

Dream’s cat Patches goes viral with over 100k followers on new Twitter account – Dexerto
Dream’s cat Patches goes viral with over 100k followers on new Twitter account Twitter: @dreamsecretclubYouTube star ‘Dream’ has gone viral on Twitter once again — or, rather, his pet cat has, after the Minecraft content creator made a new Twitter account specifically dedicated to his furry friend. At this point, it’s no surprise when the word ‘Dream’ begins to trend across Twitter. Dream is one of the internet’s most popular influencers right now, best known for his humorous Minecraft broadcasts and collaborative videos with other gaming YouTubers. Dream is also noted for being a ‘faceless’ content creator, much like ‘Corpse Husband,’ and the intrigue surrounding his image has garnered him a massive fanbase, who often gets his name trending on social media over matters big and small. This time, though, it’s not due to a controversy or a new subscriber milestone… instead, it’s because Dream created a new Twitter account specifically for his pet cat, ‘Patches.’ The account, named ‘dreamsecretclub,’ currently contains only a few posts with photos of Patches and already boasts over 116,000 followers. However, at the time of writing, Dream has unfortunately set the account to ‘private,’ meaning that only its followers can access photos of Patches that haven’t already circulated the net from those willing to repost them. That being said, this isn’t stopping his fans from fawning over his adorable feline, who have clogged the ‘patches’ search term on Twitter with pics of the tortoiseshell kitty. “To all the people who kept wishing Dream made a side account where all he basically posted were Patches content… thank you for your effort,” one user wrote. “It all has led to this day.” to all the people who kept wishing dream made a side account where all he basically posted were patches content… thank you for your effort. it all has led to this day pic.twitter.com/DOfTh6SzQE — . (@greenmanlovebot) June 28, 2021 “Dream dropping a ton of Patches content out of nowhere makes my entire day,” another said. https://twitter.com/ammiedude/status/1409538801584820224?s=20 Still others have even made fan-art in honor of Patches — and we have to say, it’s pretty impressive! https://twitter.com/camilaiscami/status/1409546017733763073?s=20 This latest instance just further proves that the internet is definitely cat-crazy (as if that wasn’t already clear), and leaves fans wondering if the YouTuber will feature more Patches in any of his upcoming broadcasts.

Dream’s face reveal showed the true nature of the internet – Dexerto
Dream’s face reveal showed the true nature of the internet YouTube: Dream, SkittlefizzOn October 2, massively popular Minecraft content creator ‘Dream’ showed his face to the internet for the very first time — but reactions weren’t all positive, with some trolls immediately insulting the influencer’s appearance. Faceless content creators abound on social media. Names like Corpse Husband come to mind, who has purposefully hidden his appearance from the internet due to issues with self-image and privacy. Looking at the internet’s response to Dream’s face reveal, it’s not hard to understand why Corpse continues to use fan-made avatars instead of a selfie. Although Dream was largely praised by other content creators who Facetimed him during a social media blitz ahead of his official reveal, the internet at large didn’t seem to be impressed by his appearance. Dream’s face reveal prompted a ‘He’s Ugly’ Twitter trend In fact, one of the top trends on Twitter following his face reveal was “He’s Ugly,” with some commenters bemoaning the fact they waited up just for a “mediocre” looking guy to show his face. Unfortunately, it looks like Dream was going to get lambasted no matter what, because much like Corpse Husband, his fans’ expectations were extremely high — and probably unrealistic. Corpse himself spoke on this subject in the past, saying: “When you have millions of people like ‘I think he looks like this or like this’ and you look dramatically different from all of them, it’s like you’re going to let down a lot of people at once, and I’d rather not do that.” Fan expectations and internet trolls With a massive fanbase like Dream’s, one also garners a decent amount of haters. It was almost certain that he would get backlash over his looks because of these two factors, something that YouTube star MoistCritikal pointed out in a recent video discussing the topic. “There’s a lot of people that hate Dream, they hate his fan base, can’t f*cking stand the guy,” he said. “So I feel like no matter what he did here, this was going to happen. This was inevitable.” “He could have done this face reveal and it turns out Henry Cavill was behind the mask… and Twitter still would have eaten him alive, calling him ugly.” This isn’t the first time Dream’s looks have been the topic of controversy. Back in 2021, internet trolls seemingly uncovered older photos of the Minecraft creator, instantly spawning backlash from fans and haters alike as his appearance didn’t meet their expectations and accusing him of ‘catfishing’ — if that’s even possible when a person hasn’t ever publicly shown themselves in any fashion. This kind of negative response essentially enforces an idea that looks are all-important; that nothing matters to the masses outside of one’s desirability. Looking at the average person’s Instagram feed, this doesn’t seem too far off the mark. Dream getting hate for face reveal highlights a bigger problem Therein lies the issue. What does this backlash against Dream say about the state of the internet? The rise of social media has undoubtedly birthed a generation of extremely visually-driven people who are sated by instant gratification. We crave picture-perfect influencers, airbrushed to perfection. If Dream doesn’t meet the standards that some fans have conjured up in their heads, they feel that he’s somehow wronged them. For haters, his appearance is also the perfect fodder for trolls to throw back at him when something goes wrong. At the end of the day, the negative reaction to Dream’s face reveal exposes a massive problem with internet culture. We think it’s okay to boil an entire person down to factors they can’t control, such as their physical appearance. And if that doesn’t live up to the masses’ expectations, it’s okay to fling proverbial poo at them. It’s important to note that Dream has seen a swath of support in wake of these negative reactions from his fans and fellow influencers alike, but that doesn’t erase the instant antagonism his highly-anticipated reveal was met with on social media. Sure, Dream is rich and famous. He’s got resources. He’ll be fine. He’s certainly dealt with worse accusations before. But someone’s status shouldn’t be an excuse for others to behave badly toward them — and luckily, Dream has been planning this reveal for some time.

Dream trolls Kaceytron after she admits to cheating in Mizkif’s Twitch show – Dexerto
Dream trolls Kaceytron after she admits to cheating in Mizkif’s Twitch show Instagram: dreamwastaken / YouTube: KaceytronFans were baffled after YouTuber Dream responded to Kaceytron’s cheating confession with a joke about his own Minecraft cheating scandal, following previous beef between the streamer and Dream’s stans. Back in March, streamer Kaceytron found herself the target of countless Dream stans, after she called out people for not holding their content creators accountable for “gay-baiting” among other things. Fans then started to look through her old tweets and content and “weaponize” it against her, as some believed that her comments were about Dream and GeorgeNotFound stans. While Dream said that “I denounce all hate for anybody, anybody at all,” some of Kacey’s accounts even went on to get banned as a result of mass reporting from fans. Now the two creators have surprised fans in an unexpected Twitter encounter. On May 13, Kacey revealed to her fans that she had cheated in Mizkif’s Twitch show, letting viewers know that she had apologized and refunded the money. Wanted to come forward and admit to cheating on Mizkif’s show, I have apologized to him and refunded. I feel badly for my actions… it just seemed like other people were cheating, so it felt like “”why not?””… — kaceytron (@kaceytron) May 13, 2021 She continued: “Cheating isn’t fun and ruins things, it also sets a bad precedent for more to do the same thing,” adding that she’s, “sorry for disappointing you guys. At least I didn’t hire a team of scientists.” Cheating isn’t fun and ruins things, it also sets a bad precedent for more to do the same thing. Let’s keep things fun and lighthearted and not be the egotistical narcissists that everyone expects. Sorry for dissapointing you guys. Atleast I didn’t hire a team of scientists. — kaceytron (@kaceytron) May 13, 2021 The scientist comment appears to be a reference to Dream’s cheating scandal, in which he was accused of cheating in his Minecraft speedrun record, and went on to hire scientists to attempt to prove that everything was above board. Dream then surprised everyone by replying: “And that day, Kaceytron hated Dream stans so much that she became one. Even going as far as trying to imitate his past controversies, she became what she despised.” Fans of both creators were thoroughly confused, but no one seemed as confused as Kacey herself who said, “Dream, I’m too high for this, I can’t rn… is this real?” The throwback to Dream’s cheating drama and the beef between Kacey and his stans largely seemed to entertain Twitter users, who didn’t expect that combination to pop up on their timeline.

Dream under fire for $50 figure of himself: “Worse than Funko Pops” – Dexerto
Dream under fire for $50 figure of himself: “Worse than Funko Pops” dream.shop / Instagram: dreamwastakenMinecraft star Dream is coming under fire for selling a $50 plush of his famous smiling icon, angering many fans over its price. Dream is one of the most prominent Minecraft creators on the internet. At first, Dream was known as a ‘faceless’ content creator, meaning he refused to show his face online and instead operated under fan-made art and avatars. At first, his avatar was a crudely drawn stick person with an adorably goofy smiling face, which was later used as a mask that he would wear in both real-life photos on Instagram and in fanart. However, Dream famously revealed his face to the internet last year, sparking a wave of both criticism and praise toward the YouTuber, simultaneously. Although he’s happy to show his face now, Dream continues to use his famous smiling avatar in his content. Most recently, fans picked up on a plush figure that he’s selling of this avatar on his official website, which is currently available for pre-order. Dream comes under fire over $50 plush The plushie is officially called the ‘Dream Blob,’ and is a simple, pawn-like figure with a smiling face. It sits at 9 inches tall and has a weighted base. However, it isn’t the plush itself that’s drawing fans’ ire; instead, it’s the price point at which it’s been listed, which is a whopping $49.99. Many fans have taken to social media to complain about the price point for such a small figure, with YouTuber ‘spatnz’ calling the product “worse than Funko Pops.” Other critics took to Twitter to vent their frustrations, with one comparing Dream’s plushie to “that one f*cked up elephant plush from Diary of a Wimpy Kid.” “I promise you, nobody is actually buying that dream plush,” another said. Another user pointed out that the website offers a payment plan for the plushy, which can come in a set with two other figures for $139. Dream has yet to respond to the outrage surrounding the price of his forthcoming figure — but he’s shown he isn’t afraid to hit back at drama in the past, as seen when he addressed outrage around a Minecraft server he made last month.

Dream takes over Twitter after teasing new song with Alec Benjamin – Dexerto
Dream takes over Twitter after teasing new song with Alec Benjamin via Alec BenjaminPopular YouTuber and Minecraft SMP overlord ‘Dream’ is teaming up with American singer-songwriter Alex Benjamin for an upcoming track – and Twitter is blowing up in anticipation. With over 25 million subscribers on YouTube, the mysterious Minecraft content creator, Dream, is a huge figure for the space and has been making a ton of appearances outside of his normal channels. While there’s still plenty of people someday hoping for a full face reveal, the YouTuber hasn’t had a problem landing parts in major collaborations like Bella Poarch’s INFERNO music video. Still, Dream is aiming higher than ever with his next collaboration – and, by the sound of it, is going to play a bigger part than just a cameo. Dream to headline VidCon Anaheim as Featured Creator after internet-breaking face reveal – Dexerto
Dream to headline VidCon Anaheim as Featured Creator after internet-breaking face reveal Instagram: dreamwastakenMinecraft star Dream is taking over VidCon Anaheim as a Featured Creator, marking one of his first major appearances since showing his face last year. We got the chance to speak to Dream about VidCon and life after his face reveal. Dream is one of the internet’s most prominent Minecraft content creators. Boasting over 31 million YouTube subscribers and 6.4 million followers on Twitch, Dream is best known for his wildly creative Minecraft videos and collaborations with other YouTubers in his ‘Dream SMP’ server. Up until last year, Dream was a ‘faceless’ influencer, who hid his mug beneath a mask and used fanart in his profile pictures. However, in a shocking turn of events, Dream decided to pull off the mask in late 2022, sparking one of the most viral moments in online history. Now, he’s slated to headline VidCon Anaheim as a Featured Creator this June, where he’ll have an exclusive merch booth for fans to show their support. For Dream, meeting fans is more fun than ever We got the chance to speak with Dream about attending VidCon, one of his first major appearances since his big face reveal last year. Despite making a huge change to his image, Dream is more than excited to meet his fans in person and thoroughly enjoys having a public presence. “I get to meet my fans! This is awesome,” he told us. “Not just my fans, but other creators and stuff. It brings everyone together and everyone’s in the same area and gets to hang out and at least say hi. It’s super exciting. From my perspective, there’s not really too much to stress over. The only thing would be like, ‘Oh god, I hope my haircut I get before I go is not gonna be butchered or something.’ That’s pretty much the only thing I’d have to worry about. Otherwise, it’s totally exciting and I’m always very excited to meet fans and friends.” “We’re gonna do some cool stuff [at VidCon,]” he added. “We have a lot of plans. We’re still mostly in the planning stages for that, but there’s gonna be some cool stuff. Probably some exclusive merch and some cool, creative Dream and Dream Team related stuff there for fans to check out and take pictures with.” In fact, Dream says he can hardly go outside without being approached by someone — but it doesn’t bother him. In fact, he recounted a heartwarming story about meeting one of his young fans while getting breakfast. “The other day, actually, I went out to get breakfast alone, and there was a mom, a dad, and their son — I think he was twelve. I could tell he recognized me, because he did a double take whenever I walked in. But I wasn’t 100% sure. I was like, ‘Ah, he probably did.’ Until the dad eventually yelled out, ‘Dream,’ to see if I would look over in their direction. So, I did, and they asked for a photo.” “I said sure, but I went over and I was like, ‘I know I just gave you a hug, but can I join you for breakfast?’ And I literally sat there and ate breakfast with them. We chatted for 45 minutes — he was there for Spring Break in Orlando. I love interacting with fans. I love people, in general. That’s the biggest reason why I feel I’ve been successful on YouTube, or at least one of them. I love people. I love how people think. I love just talking to people and interacting with people.” Dream wouldn’t change a thing about his face reveal Overall, Dream has a thoroughly positive outlook on his face reveal — even though there was some backlash to the ordeal. The creator says he wouldn’t change a thing about how he showed off his mug to the world, and even found one of his ‘faux pas’ quite funny. “The only thing that I’d go back and change — and I’m not even 100% that I’d go back and change it, because I think it’s funny — I’d never done a facecam video before. So, when I’m setting up my facecam and Googling, you know, what you should set up, it’s like, ‘Make sure you encapsulate what you think are your good angles.’ I might have went a little too ham on that. I might have had too much of an angle the entire video, which created a lot of funny jokes and memes and stuff about how I’m a crescent moon. I thought it was hilarious. I don’t know that I’d change it, because it ended up being funny.” “The transition was pretty easy. Maybe I would have been more stressed if it wasn’t for the fact there was so much positivity — even being able to just meet my friends. I could be able to see fans and make more content. Just seeing my friends… the joy and the excitement for that overrode any of the negatives.” Dream gives advice to other faceless creators Dream isn’t the only faceless creator out there. In fact, one of the most prominent influencers on the net is Corpse Husband, who uses fanart to represent himself online. When asked for his advice to other faceless creators, Dream had one solid tip: “I feel like, honestly, it’s such a niche. It’s definitely getting more and more common for people to be faceless creators, but it’s such a niche thing. I have my experience, but my experience is just one. I only had one go at it. I’m sure there’s tons of things I could have done differently or strategized for.” “I don’t know what my advice would be. It’s kinda, you know, be yourself. Just know that you do have the option of revealing your face if you want to. Just do what you want to do, and don’t rely too much on the opinions of other people.” For now, Dream himself is focused on getting back into content creation after taking a lengthy hiatus following his face reveal — but he’s also getting back to his roots. Dream told us that, despite his plans to do more IRL content, his main channel will still be focused on Minecraft, the game that skyrocketed him to stardom in the first place. “I have tons of things I want to do that are on the crazier side, but I’m also trying to go back to my roots,” he explained. “One of the biggest reasons I got successful on YouTube from Minecraft was making creative videos, and I did a lot of development and coding, myself, to make crazy, unique stuff that’s never been done before.” “In terms of my main channel and the videos I post, I don’t plan on posting too much IRL stuff. It’s mostly still gonna be just Minecraft, and not even facecam or anything. But I will be able to incorporate myself into my videos more hopefully in the future with videos that are gaming and Minecraft and real life. But the biggest difference, really, is being able to do stuff like go to VidCon. I can actually meet fans and do stuff in real life I couldn’t before.” Fans can purchase tickets to VidCon Anaheim on VidCon’s official website. The convention will take place from June 21 – 24. Dream trolls fans with fake face reveal as “catfishing” rumors spread – Dexerto
Dream trolls fans with fake face reveal as “catfishing” rumors spread Instagram: @dreamwastakenMinecraft YouTuber ‘Dream’ is hitting back at accusations of “catfishing” his fanbase after a purported photo of the star began circulating around social media. The past few days have been a whirlwind of controversy for Dream. After appearing in an interview with fellow influencer Anthony Padilla, Dream came under fire for admitting to throwing out his ADHD medication, claiming he felt “way less creative” while medicated. Shortly thereafter, a massive Twitter thread containing purported racist behavior from Dream took off online, with an alleged DM from the Minecrafter responding to accusations of racism in his fanbase appearing to kickstart the backlash. The YouTube star, who boasts over 23 million subscribers and a sprawling fanbase, has now been accused of “catfishing” his viewers after a purported photo of him surfaced amid the Twitter drama. Fans claimed that the person in the photos is actually Dream, himself, as the individual responsible for getting a hold of the picture allegedly discovered the pic through his family’s personal Facebook profiles. However, it’s not just the photo itself that’s causing controversy — it’s the fact that the purported picture of him isn’t exactly what fans had in mind when imagining what the faceless YouTuber would really look like. This kicked off a tsunami of backlash against Dream, with many critics and fans accusing the YouTuber of using his brother as a possible “body double” for his Instagram photos. It doesn’t look like Dream is getting too riled up about the drama, though, as he posted a cheeky Tweet reacting to the scandal the next day. “Decided to face reveal… please be nice,” the YouTuber wrote, attached to a computer-generated image of a blonde Caucasian man with blue eyes. It appears that much of Dream’s fanbase is divided regarding the purported “catfishing,” with some turning their anger toward Dream, while others worry over his mental health after his family was essentially doxxed by overzealous netizens trying to discover his true identity. Either way, the pressure to match a certain image fantasized by fans must be overwhelming, and Dream isn’t alone in hiding his face from the world; fellow faceless YouTuber Corpse Husband has also cited anxiety and apprehension as a reason for keeping his face off the net after amassing a huge fanbase.

Dream superfan ecstatic after Minecraft star buys her a new car – Dexerto
Dream superfan ecstatic after Minecraft star buys her a new car Twitter: perlawastaken / DreamPopular Minecraft creator ‘Dream’ bought a car for one of his biggest fans — and she couldn’t be more excited about it. Dream is one of the most popular Minecraft-centric influencers on the internet. Boasting over 29 million YouTube subscribers and over 800k followers on Twitch, Dream is also in charge of one of the most popular survival multiplayer Minecraft servers — the premier online destination for a slew of other major internet stars. With so many fans, it seems like it would be difficult for such a renowned YouTuber to pay attention to all of his admirers… but he’s shown just how attentive he is to his fanbase with his latest gesture. Dream buys his fan a new car On May 20, a Twitter user and Dream superfan named Perla revealed that Dream had bought her a new car, posting a selfie showing herself posing next to a black Toyota sedan. That’s not all; in honor of the influencer, Perla named the car ‘the Dream mobile’ — a fitting title, even if the car isn’t green. “Nothing I can say or do could ever show how thankful I am for this opportunity,” she wrote in a thread on Twitter. “From the bottom of my heart thank you Dream. You’ve made a huge impact in my life.” https://twitter.com/perlawastaken/status/1527783021453225984?s=20&t=tFuV-YlrbIs3mUciSR1bRA According to Perla, she’d been experiencing mechanical issues with her old vehicle for some time. The new car is a major upgrade for her, and she’s not shy of expressing how grateful she is to Dream for her fresh wheels. “My life doesn’t even feel real,” she continued. “I have been struggling with my old car for a while, and to finally have a car that I can drive with no issues means the absolute world to me.” https://twitter.com/perlawastaken/status/1527783025668411392?s=20&t=tFuV-YlrbIs3mUciSR1bRA Dream responded to Perla’s tweet with a series of heart emojis, spreading the love and adding another wholesome layer to this already adorable moment. This news follows Dream’s newly-crowned status as one of the most-searched streamers in the United States, coming in at 5th place behind the likes of Ninja, Asmongold, Amouranth, and Pokimane.

Dream superfans hit Kaceytron with TikTok ‘blood magic’ curse as feud continues – Dexerto
Dream superfans hit Kaceytron with TikTok ‘blood magic’ curse as feud continues Twitter: KaceyTron/DreamAs the beef between Kaceytron, Dream, and fans of the Minecraft YouTuber rolls on, it’s taken a strange turn as someone decided to place a curse on the streamer through TikTok. For the past few months, Kaceytron, Dream, and fans of the Minecraft YouTuber have been embroiled in a bizarre feud that has seen Dream’s fans go after the content creator through a number of different avenues. While the YouTuber has denounced those fans who have attacked her, they’ve dug up old tweets and tried to get her banned from numerous platforms through mass reporting. Now, the feud has taken a slightly bizarre turn after the Twitch streamer revealed that she’d been ‘cursed’ by a TikTok from a Dream fan. On May 16, Kaceytron shared the unusual TikTok on Twitter, which shows a Dream fan ‘cursing’ her in response to Kaceytron’s sister saying she’d ‘hex’ Dream fans. “This does not wear off. It does not go away. It is tied to both her and I,” reads one of the captions used in the TikTok. The streamer was, of course, taken aback by it but decided to have some fun too. “I blame all of my poor judgement on the fact that Stans have been cursing/hexxing me for weeks now,” she said. “I was not in the right state of mind. It is not my fault that I fell weak to magic this strong.” … I blame all of my poor judgementon the fact that Stans have been cursing/hexxing me for weeks now. I was not in the right state of mind. Dream sparks Twitter outrage over comments on doxxing – Dexerto
Dream sparks Twitter outrage over comments on doxxing Instagram: dreamwastakenMinecraft star ‘Dream’ is facing backlash on social media after making divisive comments about doxxing during a recent Twitch stream. Dream is one of the biggest Minecraft streamers on the internet right now. Known as a ‘faceless’ content creator, Dream has never shown his face online of his own volition, despite attempts from internet trolls to reveal his identity in the past. It’s unclear if Dream himself was a victim of doxxing in that event, but it’s not an uncommon occurrence for influencers, especially those of the ‘faceless variety;’ last year, Corpse Husband was at the center ‘face reveal’ rumors when fans allegedly got hold of an older picture of the music artist. Dream recently spoke out regarding doxxing — the act of leaking someone’s personal information online, arguing that those with smaller social media followings don’t need to stress about the ordeal. “I’m just gonna express that, if you are a person on Twitter and you have seven followers and you get doxxed on Twitter, the odds of you having something happen to you in your life are so astronomically small it’s not even worth worrying about,” he said in a Twitch stream. “It’s not even worth it remotely. Everybody that I know that is a creator has had their address leaked, has had their name leaked, has had everything leaked about them. It’s very rare to have things actually happen.” NO WAY dream basically just said u getting doxxed because of him isnt that big of a deal💀💀 #dreamOUT pic.twitter.com/TRK86Z12Ba — DΣX (@Dex0us) April 14, 2022 Dream made these comments after going over some of his tweets with fans, one of them being an explanation of a post he made “mocking homophobia in clear support of gay people.” https://twitter.com/Dream/status/1513576272592576519?s=20&t=v1Yuh8KpTl62P2GIMyh0vw Dream under fire for doxxing comments Dream’s comments regarding doxxing have stirred up outrage online, with netizens arguing that having one’s personal information leaked is cause for concern, no matter who you are. “Small chance or not, it’s personal information being put online,” one user said of the situation. “It is terrifying regardless of the situation and shouldn’t be downplayed like this.” small chance or not, its personal information being put online, it is terrifying regardless of the situation and shouldn’t be downplayed like this. having someone know where you live and threaten your family isn’t exactly what you’d call not a big deal lmao — yopobeep (@yopobeep) April 14, 2022 “Isn’t doxxing literally illegal?” another fan asked. “’If someone does this illegal thing to you, just ignore it, it’s fine, nothing bad will happen.’” Isn’t doxxing literally illegal?? “If someone does this illegal thing to you, just ignore it, it’s fine, nothing bad will happen.” — Asrius |🎗| 🐊🐻🐰 (@HikariHenkoYo) April 14, 2022 Dream responds to controversy over “doxxing” comments Dream has since responded to the ongoing controversy, posting the entire clip of his statement where he made sure to clarify that doxxing is “horrible” and disavowed the practice. “If you participate in doxxing of people, if you participate in harassing and threatening people, you are not welcome in my community,” the streamer said. “You are not a part of my community. Dream steps back from social media after responding to grooming accusations – Dexerto
Dream steps back from social media after responding to grooming accusations DexertoDream is stepping back from Twitter/X and is drawing boundaries with fans after dropping his response to grooming accusations and other incidents in a lengthy YouTube video. Dream is a prominent influencer best known for his Minecraft content. Formerly a ‘faceless’ creator, Dream famously took off his mask in 2022 in a moment that went viral online. That same year, Dream was hit with allegations of grooming a minor by a Twitter user named Anastasia — claims he denied in a Twitter/X post calling them “false accusations.” The YouTuber was hit with more allegations in November 2023, when an anonymous Twitter user shared screenshots and videos from a Snapchat account named ‘Dream Dream.’ The user claimed they could “prove beyond a shadow of a doubt” that he had sent explicit messages to an underage girl. In his response to these accusations and other drama surrounding himself, Dream said he was “working on a video responding to everything going on, and it’s my top priority as it’s incredibly serious.” Dream addresses multiple controversies in 80-minute video That day finally came on December 19, 2023, when Dream dropped a one hour and 22-minute-long video addressing nearly every controversy he’s been embroiled in throughout his career — including everything from his leaked childhood photo in 2021 to his infamous argument with Gumball voice actor Nicolas Cantu this November. In the video, Dream denied any accusations of grooming minors. The YouTuber provided multiple screenshots of his conversations with those who’d spoken out, saying Anastasia’s story had many “inconsistencies” and that he’d never shown his face to her — or hardly anyone prior to his famous face reveal in 2022. He also went over his lengthy message history with a person named ‘Amanda,’ saying he attempted to stop her from being able to message him after she continuously reached out on Instagram. “Nothing inappropriate ever happened,” Dream said of their interactions. He went on to deny any accusations of exchanging explicit messages with Amanda or claims that he wanted to meet up with her in Orlando, saying, “None of this is true.” After going over these accusations and other incidents, Dream laid out his boundaries with his fan base, specifically those with “unhealthy parasocial relationships.” Dream denounced any explicit art of himself or his friends, as well as any “serious shipping” between himself and other members of the Dream SMP. Ultimately, Dream said he just doesn’t “want anything weird” and asked fans not to “obsess” over him. The YouTuber also said that he would be taking a step back from Twitter/X following this incident, claiming he will only be using the social site “promotionally.” Now, Dream says that someone else will be managing his account, with him personally posting “positive” things very occasionally. Reactions to Dream’s video have been mixed, with many fans showing love to the YouTuber, while critics have called him out for failing to address other issues and plugging his merchandise in the video description, among other complaints. Dream has also posted two additional videos on his second YouTube channel, which include a gallery of every image he’s ever posted online and an interview with the Uber driver in his viral confrontation with Nicolas Cantu.

Dream slams TikTok after GeorgeNotFound gets banned for third time – Dexerto
Dream slams TikTok after GeorgeNotFound gets banned for third time YouTube: GeorgeNotFound / Instagram: dreamwastakenMinecraft star Dream isn’t taking any nonsense from TikTok after the viral video platform banned fellow influencer GeorgeNotFound for the third time in half a year. GeorgeNotFound is a hugely popular content creator in the Minecraft fan base. Boasting over 9 million YouTube subscribers, the influencer is known for running in circles with the likes of Dream, another huge presence in the game’s community with over 26 million subs. While both creators put out content on various platforms, George’s success on TikTok has been met with some major roadblocks, as the platform has banned him a total of three times. George was first banned from TikTok in February 2021, prompting Twitter to erupt with a #FreeGeorge hashtag imploring the site to unban him. He was banned a second time in August, causing him to warn the platform that he’d quit TikTok for good if he was banned again. STOP BANNING ME @tiktok_us OR IM MOVING TO YOUTUBE SHORTS — George (@GeorgeNootFound) August 24, 2021 It looks like George will have to live up to his words, as he has, once again, been hit with a TikTok ban as of September — not even a month after his second ban. This latest suspension caused fellow creator Dream to slam TikTok for its repeated bans against his buddy in a pointed Tweet. “Because George is too nice @tiktok_us fix your f**king s**t,” he wrote. “He’s been banned three times, had 3 of his last 4 TikToks removed for guideline strikes he didn’t commit, and gets a generic response any time he contacts support. Help him, you morons.” https://twitter.com/dreamwastaken/status/1438251005360095234 George responded to Dream’s post by confirming that he had been banned for a “false” guideline strike… although his reaction was decidedly more lighthearted. “Carried a 65 lb backpack around for 2 hours to make a TikTok just for it to get removed for a FALSE guideline strike after 9 hours when it had 6m views,” he explained, adding photos of “shoulder bruises” from carrying the backpack around. i carried a 65lbs backpack around for 2 hours to make a tiktok just for it to get removed for a FALSE guideline strike after 9 hours when it had 6m views ☹️ @tiktok_us (shoulder bruises from carrying backpack for proof) pic.twitter.com/pMCHpdHzB9 — George (@GeorgeNotFound) September 15, 2021 This has, once again, sparked outrage against TikTok within the Minecraft community, with users across Twitter tagging the platform in an attempt to get him reinstated on the video platform. For now, we’ll just have to wait and see if the TikTok gods are feeling gracious or vindictive… particularly toward influencers of the Minecraft variety.

Dream SMP is apparently a Spotify Wrapped music genre and fans are totally confused – Dexerto
Dream SMP is apparently a Spotify Wrapped music genre and fans are totally confused YouTube: Dream / Unsplash: Haithem FerdiAre you a fan of Glass Animals, Wilbur Soot, Alec Benjamin, or even Cardi B? You might be a fan of the Dream SMP music genre, which has stumped fans after they were notified of its existence in Spotify Wrapped 2021. Dream SMP is more than a Minecraft server and a group of gamers, it seems. The cultural phenomenon is now a music genre, which fans are now discovering thanks to Spotify Wrapped 2021 dropping on December 1. Thousands of listeners across the globe have been alerted to its existence as the platform lists individuals’ top 5 favorite music genres across the year. However, the trend has left Dream fans and haters alike totally confused. In case you were wondering, the top 10 Dream SMP songs according to listn.to include tracks by Wilbur Soot — who is a member of the Dream SMP — Billy Joel, The Fray, and even League of Legends. There’s other tracks Spotify lists as “Dream SMP” from Kendrick Lamar, Cardi B, Glass Animals, Corpse Husband, Alec Benjamin, and more. It’s a rather eclectic mix of music, all things considered. While some in the Dream SMP fandom have embraced their love of the music of their favorite Minecraft stars, others have loathed even being associated with it. “The fact they gave Dream SMP a genre on Spotify means I can’t post my Wrapped anywhere other than Twitter for fear of embarrassment this is the f**king worst,” Twitter user ‘elytrafall’ said. Read More: Stable Ronaldo panics after shock Twitch ban – “Imagine these poor people who just like Lovejoy and get the f**king “Dream SMP” genre in their Spotify Wrapped. I would take it so personally you’d never hear from me again,” ‘47batz’ added. https://twitter.com/elytrafall/status/1466053872812761091 https://twitter.com/maori_achilles/status/1466136199085629440 https://twitter.com/camiinelrapids/status/1466087162319888387 Exactly how the genre came into being is unclear. Dream does have three songs on Spotify, including collaborations with Alec Benjamin and PmBata. Combined they have over 150 million streams. Taking those three songs and creating an entire genre around it has definitely raised eyebrows though. There is a playlist by Spotify diving into “The Sounds of Dream SMP.” However, if you’re confused as to why Dream SMP is one of your top genres in Spotify Wrapped 2021, at least now you know why.

Dream shares personal top 5 streamers amid Content Creator of the Year award drama – Dexerto
Dream shares personal top 5 streamers amid Content Creator of the Year award drama YouTube: Dream / The Game AwardsWith drama surrounding the nominations for Content Creator of the Year at The Game Awards 2021, Dream — one of the creators selected — shared his own personal list of top five streamers in the business. The Game Awards has grown into one of the industry’s biggest events, offering fans of the medium a chance to look back at some of the best games, personalities, and moments from the past year. The show revealed their 2021 nominees for each category on November 16, and there was immediate controversy over one award in particular: Content Creator of the Year. After fans of superstar Minecraft YouTuber Dream hit out at Twitch star Ludwig over his comments on the nominations, the Minecraft mogul himself addressed the controversy by revealing his own personal list of top five streaming personalities. Dream addressed the controversy via his Twitter account, where he issued a statement featuring his own “top five streamer picks of 2021 [in] no particular order.” Included in the YouTuber’s list are six (yes, six) massive personalities: Ludwig, xQc, Valkyrae, Mizkif, and a tie for fifth place between two of Dream’s fellow Minecraft stars, Ranboo and TommyInnit. my top 5 streamer picks of 2021 (English because that’s what I speak) because I see all the controversy around it 😳 Ludwig xQc Rae Miz Ranboo / Tommy (close call & I’m biased)(no particular order) fight me — dream (@dreamwastaken) November 19, 2021 Dream’s list seemed to be received well by most parties, with several of his personal nominees like Valkyrae and Ludwig acknowledging the props he had given them. “They’ve all created such innovative content this year, it would be hard to not have them in the top [five],” one fan commented. Dream agreed, and also pointed out how difficult it was to narrow the industry down to just five names: “There’s so many awesome streamers, it’s really hard to pick just a couple.” there’s so many awesome streamers it’s really hard to pick just a couple. some had insanely high viewers others streamed all the time others broke records others innovated styles of content, some did all of the above. It’s tough there’s so many people that had a big impact — dream (@dreamwastaken) November 19, 2021 The YouTuber also gave some insight into how he constructed his list: “Some had insanely high views, others streamed all the time, others broke records, others innovated styles of content, [and] some did all of the above. It’s tough [when] there’s so many people that had [such] a big impact.” Narrowing down the entire content creation industry to just five names would be a formidable task for anyone. At least Dream fans know where their own favorite creator stands on the subject, which should hopefully cut down on the drama before The Game Awards announce their own winner on December 9.

Dream slammed by critics over “insensitive” Veterans Day tweet – Dexerto
Dream slammed by critics over “insensitive” Veterans Day tweet Instagram: dreamwastaken / TwitterPopular YouTuber and Minecraft star ‘Dream’ is facing backlash from critics over a tweet he posted on Veterans Day that some claim is “insensitive.” November 11 is Veterans Day in the United States. This federal holiday commemorates living military veterans of the United States Armed Forces. This same day also marks Remembrance Day in the United Kingdom, Canada and other countries, which similarly honors military veterans. On this day, many communities will gather together to celebrate their local veterans and honor their service, while others express their sentiments via social media. One social media post, however, has been met with some backlash, coming from the secondary Twitter account of popular internet personality ‘Dream.’ Dream under fire over Veterans Day Tweet Dream is a “faceless” YouTuber best known for his Minecraft content, who boasts a wide fanbase of dedicated viewers. Unlike most influencers, Dream refuses to show his face online, in keeping with such other “faceless” personalities like Corpse Husband. On November 11, Dream tweeted a joking statement referencing a fictional battle that took place in his Minecraft server — an event fans call the “First Great War” of the Dream SMP (short for ‘survival multiplayer’ server). The battle saw the fictitious country of ‘L’Manburg’ secure its independence from the Dream SMP. “Happy Veterans Day to everyone who fought in the L’manburg war,” he wrote, coupled with a few flexing arm and heart emojis. “Your courage and bravery was unparalleled. God bless.” https://twitter.com/dreamwastaken/status/1458848685144616968 While plenty of fans joined in on the joke, others weren’t amused by Dream’s post, finding it disrespectful on a day meant to celebrate real military veterans. “Joking about war isn’t funny,” one user replied. “Instead, you should remember those who fought for your country. … just because you don’t care about it doesn’t mean you can joke.” joking about war isn’t funny :/ instead you should remember those of who fought for your country, you chose to join the war yet you still find ways to joke about it even if you don’t care you should still pay respect. just because you don’t care about it doesn’t mean you can joke — Daisy Smith (@jadelivestream) November 11, 2021 “Dream it’s literally Remembrance Day in the UK, this feels really insensitive,” another fan wrote. “I know you probably didn’t mean this, but could you delete this?” Dream it’s literally Rememberance Day in the UK, this feels really insensitive. Dream slams John Swan for “demonizing” him in YouTube drama – Dexerto
Dream slams John Swan for “demonizing” him in YouTube drama Dream Instagram / John Swan YouTubeDream slammed YouTuber John Swan for trying to ‘demonize’ him after the pair went back-and-forth about the time the faceless Minecraft personality was being impersonated on Discord. YouTube drama has embroiled Dream once again. The mysterious content creator has been getting targeted by people making fake accounts then proceeding to send heinous, at times racist, messages under Dream’s name. This is at the center of what the argument is now, as the two bickered about a time Swan allegedly changed his Discord profile to mimic Dream while messaging people that they’re “friends, [that Dream] hates Zak ‘Skeppy’ Ahmed, and that [Dream was] working on a Minecraft sex mod, and [Dream] saying the n-word,” according to screenshots of their conversation. While this supposed spat was in the past and the two had talked to clarify the situation, Dream referenced the drama in a recent Reddit comment. Swan took offense to that, saying Dream was trying to “smear” his credibility. https://twitter.com/dreamwastaken/status/1361387243903082502 His Discord did change to mimic Dream and some messages were sent out, but Swan claims that it was all at the hands of a kid that got a hold of his account after accidentally leaving himself logged in on another computer. Swan’s story didn’t do much to convince Dream then, and it certainly didn’t change his mind now. “At the time I had hundreds of reasons to be suspicious… How did you know it was on discord right away when I didn’t mention it and our primary communication was twitter? How had we called on discord just before if you didn’t have access?” https://twitter.com/dreamwastaken/status/1361393608964907014 Needless to say, Dream wasn’t impressed with the story and claimed he would’ve been fine talking about this in private, but was frustrated at Swan’s attempt at “demonizing” the faceless YouTuber on Twitter. The two didn’t manage to come to a public consensus, leaving fandoms in the court of public opinion to chime in. Both YouTubers are pretty outspoken, but as far as Dream is concerned, he’s over this episode as Swan is looking to clear his name from the bizarre situation.

Dream shares apologetic DMs from Nicolas Cantu after viral clip exposed harmful rant – Dexerto
Dream shares apologetic DMs from Nicolas Cantu after viral clip exposed harmful rant DexertoDream just released a thoroughly detailed recount of his interactions with voice actor Nicolas Cantu, weeks after their viral exchange took the internet by storm and damaged both of their reputations for different reasons. Back in November 2023, Dream posted a video on X (formerly known as Twitter) revealing an Uber drive involving Nicolas Cantu. The 20-year-old voice actor responsible for the likes of Leonardo in this year’s TMNT: Mutant Mayhem, was shown in a troublesome light. “Being homophobic, antisemitic, ableist, and threatening to kill me,” Dream captioned his post at the time, a video that’s since gone on to accrue north of 130 million views. “This is after he physically assaulted me,” the popular content creator added to his explanation. However, as Cantu was under the legal drinking age at the time of the recording, with the voice actor explicitly confirming he was drunk that night, many on social media quickly turned their attention to Dream. Amid a sea of grooming allegations against him, some questioned why he was involved in the first place. Now looking to clear the air once and for all, Dream just released an 80-minute video covering all manner of accusations leveled against him in recent years. Not only that, but a supplemental 50-minute video also shared an entire interview with the Uber driver involved on the night of the Cantu incident. “I had a terrible experience with this person,” Dream began in the section of his video recounting the Cantu controversy. “I don’t think I’ve ever gotten more hate in my life,” he then said of the fallout after sharing the video online back in November. Detailing a “friend’s party” he went to in Austin, Texas, Dream claimed by the time he arrived, Cantu was “already drunk.” Although the two had allegedly never met until that night, Dream alleged the voice actor was immediately “aggressive” towards him, adding he even “hit [him] out of nowhere.” Later that evening, a few from the party jumped in a shared Uber ride, which is where the original recording stems from. Lashing out at others in the vehicle, including the driver, Cantu went on a heated tirade that previously went viral across social media. What the internet didn’t see shortly after, however, was a series of DMs between Dream and Cantu, which have now been revealed as part of the lengthy exposé on YouTube. Of which, Dream has pledged all profits from the video will go to the Joyful Heart Foundation. Dream discusses the Cantu situation at the 48-minute mark below. The very next day, Cantu sent a lengthy message looking to “apologize for hitting [Dream]. I think I slapped you once which was totally out of line. I apologize deeply for that.” Trying to move on from the situation, Dream left it there, ‘hoping’ Cantu would “learn from his mistakes.” However, the internet soon pivoted away from the focal point of the video and instead targeted Dream. Some conspiracy theories even argued accompanying text messages from the Uber driver were “faked” in an attempt to paint Dream in a more positive light. “People still think I lied,” he addressed in his video. Clearing the air on that matter, Dream got back in touch and interviewed the Uber driver responsible for that trip. In a near hour-long conversation, available in full on Dream’s secondary YouTube channel, fans can listen to the entire chat as they go over the night from start to finish. In one key moment when cops were called after Cantu dropped his phone on a busy road, the Uber driver recalled fearing for the voice actor as he allegedly “spoke down to the cops.” “The way he was speaking to the cops… You’re gonna go to jail if you keep speaking like that,” he said. “He felt like he was better. I don’t want you to go to jail. Most Uber drivers would have left you.” “The way he was acting was unacceptable.” Putting to bed any and all rumors around the legitimacy of the text messages as well, the Uber driver then added: “All those text messages, that was me saying it.”

Dream shares face reveal plans in Anthony Padilla interview: “I plan to take full advantage” – Dexerto
Dream shares face reveal plans in Anthony Padilla interview: “I plan to take full advantage” YouTube: AnthonyPadillaMinecraft YouTuber Dream revealed his plans to do a face reveal in an interview with Anthony Padilla. The popular content creator explained that he isn’t afraid to show his face, and why he expects it to be the next big step in his career. In his tell-all interview with Anthony Padilla, Dream opened up about a variety of topics ranging from his infamous cheating scandal to how his early videos took heavy inspiration from Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg’s iconic Minecraft series in 2019. The former Smosh interviewer was stunned when the masked entertainer announced that he was planning on doing a face reveal in the future. The 21-year-old even detailed the interesting way he would go about doing it. Dream shares face reveal plans with Anthony Padilla During his June 8 sit-down with Anthony Padilla, Dream opened up about how wearing a mask can limit the content he makes. “The biggest downside is just not being able to express myself fully. I want to be able to do things that you can’t do. Like let’s say go and meet people. It’s restricting on the things I can do, like being able to do TikToks,” he said. When asked whether being unmasked would change his content, the Minecraft player responded, “Not really. The smile and the mask that is all going to be a part of my brand even after the face reveal, it’s more so going to be a new chapter. I’ll be able to get to do more things I haven’t been able to do. And my goal is to take full advantage of it.” Dream then revealed he has plans to do a face reveal, and explained how he might do it. “I want to do it with my friends, or some way my fans can participate somehow. So I thought of a meetup, or some kind of event.” The YouTuber added he didn’t want to make the event a big deal. “I would do it in a way where it wouldn’t be the center of things.” (Topic starts at 10:18) Interestingly, Dream touched on the origins of his persona, stating that Aerosmith’s popular ‘Dream On’ song was the inspiration for his username. The mask was also a bit of an accident, and the content creator explained that he didn’t initially intend to hide his face. Read More: What is the Dream SMP? – “I just blew up so quickly. It became a part of the fan art, and the community so quickly. It wasn’t a calculated move, it’s just like something that kind of happened,” he stated. As far as who he would collaborate with once umasked? The star told Padilla he would love to work with Jimmy ‘MrBeast‘ Donaldson.

Dream reveals Quackity SMP drama resulted in threats, stalking & police involvement – Dexerto
Dream reveals Quackity SMP drama resulted in threats, stalking & police involvement Dream has once more clarified the drama between himself and Quackity amidst the recently announced USMP and QSMP Minecraft servers, also revealing the drama resulted in threats, stalking and the involvement of authorities. At the beginning of April, Dream and Quackity announced their new projects, the United SMP and QSMP, respectively. The idea was to gather content creators that speak different languages, essentially bringing communities together. Both YouTubers hoped for their project to be the first multi-language Minecraft server — while unknowingly, they both had the same idea and worked on them at the same time behind closed doors. However, instead, the recently announced SMP servers have caused drama. While Dream addressed the situation in an April 10 tweet — revealing that the two worked on their own projects privately at the same time, which in turn accidentally clashed — the YouTube star has since released another statement clarifying the situation. Dream clarifies Minecraft SMP drama On April 27, Dream put out another statement addressing the drama, this one being a lot more personal. “When me and my friends started working on the United SMP, the QSMP had not been announced at all and Quackity had kept things very close to his chest with what he was working on,” the Minecraft star wrote. “We were all probably thinking the same general thing: We need another Minecraft server to play on.” The YouTuber added: “The idea was just to have a server to be able to just hop on Minecraft and play survival Minecraft again, and after Squid Game, we all agreed that it would be awesome to have it be creators from around the world. So I instantly started working on the translation mod, and was really excited to storyboard ideas for the SMP.” He continued: “After the QSMP was announced, I was surprised and reached out to Quackity, expressing support for the project and letting him know I was working on something to bring creators from around the world together too, and that we should chat about it! “His SMP announcement didn’t mention any translation stuff, and was English and Spanish based, so I still was thinking that, conceptually, they were different enough to co-exist, and even was hoping to share the mod with Quackity if he was interested in using it.” Dream then revealed Quackity didn’t reply to him at the time, where he then reached out to multiple members of the QSMP — who were also interested in playing in the United SMP — and was met with “varying reassurance” that the QSMP is simply a passion project to bring together the English and Spanish communities. Following the official announcement of both servers, Dream explained he reached out to Quackity again, noting the tension that was building between their fan bases – although he was still met with no response. According to Dream, he attempted several more times to reach out to the QSMP founder in hopes of resolving the situation and putting a stop to the ongoing war between their communities — which he claimed could’ve been avoided by “communicating” and “setting boundaries.” Dream further claimed that members of the QSMP and nonmembers that were friends attempted to reach out to Quackity to get clarity, although he says “there were no responses” and it was alluded that creators “wouldn’t be allowed to play on both servers.” “I was still incredibly confused, and I continued to reach out and have even put my project on hold to try and work out what was going on behind the scenes and extend love and support to Quackity and everything he has done publicly,” Dream said. Dream reveals SMP drama resulted in police involvement The Minecraft star began explaining how the situation is harmful to the community as a whole, before adding that he’s experienced an “elevated level” of threats, stalkers, and trackers being placed on family vehicles – all leading to the involvement of the police. “This is all about uniting the world and communities and sharing positivity around the world,” he said. “I love everything that Quackity’s done and I really believe this is a big miscommunication that we’ll all be able to laugh about down the line together. “It’s really not worth all the drama. I want to play Minecraft with friends again, and really can’t wait to start doing it again soon.” He added: “This is all about uniting the world and communities and sharing positivity around the world.” Going forward, Dream will be changing the concept of the United SMP for Quackity’s sake, where the server will undergo a different structural format to differentiate itself from the QSMP.

Dream roasts Andrea Botez’s chess advice to actress Alexandra Daddario – Dexerto
Dream roasts Andrea Botez’s chess advice to actress Alexandra Daddario HBO/Instagram/itsandreabotez/dreamMinecraft streamer Dream embarrassed Twitch chess sensation Andrea Botez after the Envy star gave a potentially match-winning chess tip to Hollywood actress Alexandra Daddario. The Twitch chess scene has spawned some of the platform’s top creators such as The Botez Sisters, GMHikaru, and GothamChess to name a few. With such popularity comes room for possible collaborations with just about anyone and for Andrea Botez, she spotted an opportunity in the form of actress Alexandra Daddario. On May 10, the True Detective Season icon inquired about her chess play, posting a picture of her game board. Despite Andrea Botez seeing a glorious opportunity to help her, Dream was right there to shut down the advice. Dream steals Andrea Botez’s “moment” with Alexandra Daddario After analyzing Daddario’s pieces, Andrea noticed that she had an opportunity to take her opponent’s Queen in a major error. “Alexandra it looks like your opponent is about to Botez gambit,” Andrea replied, referencing the infamous term for blundering a Queen. Before the actress could respond, Dream chimed in, suggesting that the chess streamer was commenting to the wrong Alexandra. “This isn’t your sister. You replied to the wrong person, Andrea,” the Minecraft star joked. “Dream, go away. You’re stealing my moment,” the Envy content creator shot back. Unfortunately for Andrea, it doesn’t seem like the actress saw her suggestion and hasn’t posted an update about her chess match since, though it’s not clear if Dream was to blame for the lack of interaction. Consider it a stalemate.

Dream reveals he only left his house four times in 2.5 years before face reveal – Dexerto
Dream reveals he only left his house four times in 2.5 years before face reveal Dream, Jon Youshaei/YouTubeA year after his highly anticipated face reveal, Dream has opened up about his life and said he only left the house four times in almost three years due to being too paranoid that someone would recognize his voice. It’s been one year since Dream shocked everyone by deciding to show his face for the first time. Before this, he’d been known to hide his face behind a big smiley face mask which has become his signature look. The Minecraft star said back in June 2021 that he would eventually do a face reveal, but that he plans to “take full advantage of it.” And he did just that by building hype over several weeks, revealing his face to fellow content creators one by one, before sharing it with his viewers on October 2, 2022. Since then, he’s kept information about his life quiet. But on November 14, an interview with him and Jon Youshaei was published on YouTube, with Jon asking all about his life after the face reveal and his future plans. Dream reveals he was “too paranoid” to leave his house Appearing in an interview with Jon Youshaei in November 2023, Dream opened up about his life before and after his face reveal, where he went on to reveal he only left his house four times in almost three years due to the fear and paranoia of being recognized. The YouTuber told Jon: “I can count on one hand the number of times I left the house between the end of 2019 to when I face revealed. “I went to the dentist a couple of times, went to the doctor once, went to the Spider-Man movie… that’s four, is that it?” “Over the span of two years?” Jon asked. “Yeah, two and a half years. Maybe I’m missing a time or two but I had groceries brought to me, I just didn’t leave the house. I dropped many shades of like, color. I became very very pale. But yeah, no I did never really leave the house, but when I did, I was very paranoid,” Dream added. He went on to say he’d been driven four hours to another state just to go to the dentist since people knew he lived in Florida and he was scared of being recognized. “I was like, if they hear my name is Clay or they hear my voice and be like ‘wait, wait a second’, then I’d be really worried. “I wanted [the face reveal] to be like, my moment. I don’t want to risk even for a second like taking it away from me.” Dream continued to say that people had been flying drones over his house just to catch a glimpse of what he looked like. “I had a lot of fear,” he said about the time.

Dream reveals absurd precautions he took to hide identity before face reveal Twitter: DreamMinecraft YouTube star Dream has revealed in an interview the absurd lengths he went to in order to stay anonymous — where he even traveled between states for medical appointments. For years, fans have waited to catch a glimpse of what the mysterious masked Minecraft creator ‘Dream‘ looks like. Thankfully, the day finally came on October 2, as the Minecraft star ultimately revealed his face to the world for the very first time. However, for years he kept his identity hidden and now he’s revealed he did it by going to extreme lengths. Dream reveals how he stayed anonymous Dream first began gaining notable traction on YouTube in 2020, where during the pandemic he amassed millions of new viewers. All fans knew was that he lived in Orlando, Florida. But, that was still enough to make him concerned that he’d be recognized in public. Comparing his anonymity to the likes of Spider-Man, the past couple of years haven’t exactly been easy for him. In a recent interview with Bloomberg, the now unmasked YouTuber revealed the insane lengths he actually went to in order to keep his identity a secret. “I’d wake up, go on my computer, get off my computer and eat, get on my computer again, then hop in bed and maybe watch some TV or something,” he told Bloomberg. “Even if it’s a 0.0001% chance, it’s not really worth it,” he added. “I’d rather it be my moment,” the YouTuber stated, before revealing how he’d take precautions such as traveling to different states to the dentist and spending time with family. “I’m going to go to a different state to go to the dentist,” he said. “I went with my mom to go to the movies and eat dinner for the first time in a long time — I went to Georgia.” Now, the YouTube star can finally enjoy life in the spotlight along with some of SMP friends. Showing up a TwitchCon for his first event, fans have already gotten the chance to meet with him too.

Dream responds to “grooming” allegations after videos surface – Dexerto
Dream responds to “grooming” allegations after videos surface YouTube: DreamPopular streamer Dream has taken to X/Twitter to respond to allegations of grooming after screenshots of a Snapchat encounter were shared by an anonymous account claiming that he had groomed a minor. Popular content creator, streamer, and occasional musician, Dream, best known for his Minecraft work, was accused of grooming a minor back in 2022 when a Twitter user claimed the creator flirted with her using a burner account when she was 17. On November 20, 2023, a new grooming allegation was aimed towards the YouTuber after an anonymous X/Twitter account by the name of Burner 22 posted videos and screenshots of messages from a Snapchat user named “Dream Dream”. As the messages are opened on the videos, a black screen can be seen with audio of someone moaning. The snaps also included short, explicit messages from the “Dream Dream” Snapchat user. Going with the video, the tweet read: “I was informed none of the videos in the previously posted messages contain any form of CSEM and they have been sent to me under an anonymous source. **I was given permission to post these** “I can confirm without a shadow of a doubt it was Dreams Snapchat account.” Dream response to “grooming” allegations after anonymous tweet In response to the anonymous tweet, Dream took to X/Twitter on November 21 to tell his side of the story. He started his message by saying he’d been assaulted and lied about by a drunk voice actor. “Then a burner account posted a secondhand claim, telling stories for a ‘victim’ that doesn’t agree or even know what’s going on. This is people’s lives, I’m begging you to listen to what I have to say and watch my video when it’s out, it’s not this week’s joke. “It’s not just ‘haha Minecraft YouTuber is a pedo’, or ‘haha cringe speed run guy got beat up by Gumball!’ it’s incredibly serious and impacts so many lives, my friends, my family, my employees, and all actual victims of abuse, physical & sexual. This is terrible and not ‘haha dream moan audio just dropped’.” He continued to say: “I’m not a pedo, I didn’t groom anyone, and what’s being spread in this particular instance is black and white, and I will lay everything out in my video. Including the situation with me being assaulted, and other situations that are incredibly serious.” He ended the tweet by saying he would post a video on YouTube and that this was just a “temporary statement” and urged fans to “withhold judgment” until they’ve watched his video.

Dream responds to Karl Jobst “uncovering the truth” of cheated Minecraft speedruns YouTube/Karl JobstMinecraft speedrunner Dream has responded to a Karl Jobst video uncovering the truth behind his infamous cheating scandal and subsequent confession. Dream’s Minecraft controversy was quite the popular topic in 2020 and 2021, with the YouTuber achieving near impossible speedrun records and being accused of cheating. While the drama has finally come to a close with the YouTuber admitting he had cheats enabled during his runs, albeit accidentally, which resulted in significantly higher drop rates. Now, speedrun content creator Karl Jobst has created a new video providing new information about the timeline of events, DMs, facts and clears up numerous details of the scandal. The one hour and fifteen minute video goes in-depth, even revealing how Dream ended up contacting an astrophysicist for his extremely criticized defense and the odds of such drops actually happening. Despite Jobst’s conclusion not entirely siding with Dream, the YouTuber was impressed with the video and found it to be very well constructed. “Very well made video. Criticizes me for things I deserve criticism for and criticizes others for the same,” Dream said in response. “Lots of respect for you.” very well made video. criticizes me for things I deserve criticism for and criticizes others for the same. lots of respect for you. whole situation was definitely a huge learning and reflecting experience for me. excellent journalism — dream (@dreamwastaken) June 30, 2021 He continued to call the whole situation “a huge learning and reflecting experience.” Given all the controversy and misconceptions about the scandal and what transpired, it’s good to see that the community may finally be moving past it, especially with Jobst’s new video clarifying things about those involved.

Dream responds to “controversy” over his comments about ADHD medication – Dexerto
Dream responds to “controversy” over his comments about ADHD medication YouTube: AnthonyPadillaDuring his interview with Anthony Padilla, Minecraft YouTuber Dream opened up about being diagnosed with ADHD when he was younger. Some viewers have become critical of the 21-year-old, though, after he revealed that he threw out his prescription medication. For his June 8 episode, Anthony Padilla interviewed Minecraft sensation Dream. In the sit-down discussion, the YouTuber touched on subjects from his speedrun cheating scandal to his plans on doing a face reveal. However, the conversation got personal when the faceless content creator discussed his ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) diagnosis as a kid. Critics were not too happy with him when he explained how throwing out his medication helped him. Dream opens up about his ADHD diagnosis During the 30-minute interview, Dream opened up about being diagnosed with ADHD as a child and how that impacted his education. “I was literally tested for glasses as a kid because I was having trouble in school. I could never pay attention. I was always doodling, drawing. I was doing anything but not paying attention,” he said. He then opened up about being prescribed medication. “I had ADHD medication, and I was like “Nah” … I remember pouring it down the drain.” When asked why, the YouTuber responded, “I didn’t feel like myself [on meds]. I feel like I was way less creative. My mind didn’t drift as much.” Dream followed up his statement by cautioning viewers that he was not an expert on mental health. “I don’t know enough about [ADHD medication] to know whether that was smart of me to do. I don’t want to encourage ANYONE to do that. I haven’t been on ADHD medication since then, but it’s a unique thing to me that I’m proud of.” (Topics starts at 18:49) Despite his warning to fans to not follow what he did, some critics became upset with the YouTuber over his comments and argued that he was setting a bad example for his fanbase. “Hey dream what’s the message behind throwing out the “normal pills” and basically implying that if you have a mental illness do not seek medical help because it’s “bad”? Really weird message to say f**k medication for any form of mental illness basically,” a viral post on Twitter read. https://twitter.com/24framesofnick/status/1402461378691076098 Dream responds to “controversy” over medication comments Dream used his alternate Twitter account to respond to the criticism and exclaimed, “mom wake up the new dream controversy just dropped,” before following up with, “they really be like: he visualized his personal experience as a kid with ADHD and medication for it?!? DISGUSTING.” The June 9 social media posts have since been deleted. This isn’t the first time the YouTuber has discussed his mental state. Dream dropped a single in June called “Mask” that had several lyrics that touched on his struggles with mental health. In his interview with Anthony Padilla, Dream also explained how his ADHD helps him make content: “I feel like one of my biggest strengths is that I am creative. And one of the things that help me come up with ideas is I am thinking quickly.” The content creator also added, “People, a lot of the time, describe it as a lack of focus. But in reality, you just focus on the wrong thing a lot of the time.” The 21-year-old also confessed that it was “scary” opening up about his mental health.

Dream responds to #dreamwaswrong trending on Twitter – Dexerto
Dream responds to #dreamwaswrong trending on Twitter Dream / Mojang StudiosYouTuber and Minecraft content creator Dream has finally responded to the #dreamwaswrong trend on Twitter, using his DreamWasTaken account to assert he disavows the behavior displayed by some of his fans. [jwplayer h3XPfMqQ] Dream and his cohorts, including known creators like Tommyinnit and GeorgeNotFound, are incredibly popular on YouTube and beyond thanks to an infinitum of Dream Team videos and the Dream SMP server. While that level of fame means possibility for mainstream collaboration with the likes of superstar TikTok influencer Addison Rae, it also comes with downsides. Notably, #dreamwaswrong began trending on Twitter as fans blamed Dream for encouraging his stans, some of whom are prone to producing inappropriate fan art involving minors. As critics explain, Dream’s love for his fans supposedly equates to egging on the ways they express their fandom — thereby supporting the production of “CP.” In response, he explained: “I’ve said this before but don’t ship creators that are uncomfortable with it, and especially not minors. It’s disgusting to draw NSFW stuff about minors or anyone that hasn’t explicitly said it’s fine.” I’ve said this before but don’t ship creators that are uncomfortable with it, and especially not minors. It’s disgusting to draw NSFW stuff about minors or anyone that hasn’t explicitly said it’s fine. — dream (@dreamwastaken) January 22, 2021 After addressing the drama directly, by reaffirming that “NSFW stuff about minors” is distasteful, Dream continued on to explain why it’s unfair to misgeneralize his role in the production of such content. In a follow-up tweet aimed at defending his support for his fans, the Minecraft YouTuber said, “With 16 million subscribers that’s 1 out of every 480 people IN THE WORLD that are subscribed. There’s bound to be thousands of terrible people, but there’s also bound to be millions of great ones. If you’re looking for hate or disgusting stuff, you’ll find it. Stop looking.” With 16 million subscribers that’s 1 out of every 480 people IN THE WORLD that are subscribed. There’s bound to be thousands of terrible people, but there’s also bound to be millions of great ones. If you’re looking for hate or disgusting stuff, you’ll find it. Stop looking — dream (@dreamwastaken) January 22, 2021 As he shows, boasting 16 million subscribers on YouTube means that “out of every 480 people in the world,” at least one is a fan of Dream’s content. That is an enormous quantity of supporters, and it should not be surprising that there are “thousands of terrible people” within the millions of fans. This sentiment appears to be echoed by his fans — as many have resurfaced earlier videos showing that the content creator has never specifically encouraged the creation of relationship fanfiction or “CP.” #dreamwaswrong literally when has dream said cp is ok pic.twitter.com/H1pKiHMyVD — ً (@ATSUHlNAS) January 22, 2021 It remains unclear how satisfied people are with Dream’s response, but the overall sentiment appears to be positive. While it feels unreasonable to expect a creator to be wholly responsible for the actions of their audience, this incident does provide a cautionary tale. Considering this “disgusting” group of Dream’s stans, the prevailing community critique remains: If you are an influencer, you have some obligation to directly and quickly curtail negative behavior by those you influence.

Dream responds to backlash against “toxic shippers” in his fanbase – Dexerto
Dream responds to backlash against “toxic shippers” in his fanbase Instagram: dreamwastakenMinecraft YouTuber Dream has called out people hating on “toxic shippers” in his fanbase, reminding them that he also jokes about ‘shipping’ himself with his friends. Dream is one of the most popular Minecraft content creators on YouTube, with over 28 million subscribers on his channel. He’s known for being one of the founders of the Dream SMP, a multiplayer Minecraft server that features plenty of viral creators from the community. The YouTuber has a very dedicated fanbase, and on March 16 he called out people hating on “toxic shippers” from his community. “All these people that hate on the dteam community for having toxic shippers, like. I am the toxic shipper. it’s me,” he wrote. “hello I joke about shipping myself with my friends. I’m also toxic. it’s ME. eat sh*t but also you’re perfect the way u are you little munchkin hater ily.” https://twitter.com/dreamwastaken/status/1503894750537134089 After one commenter claimed Dream is enabling “a bunch of 13-year-old sexualizing adults,” he claimed that shipping does not equal sexualizing. https://twitter.com/dreamwastaken/status/1503901438598123527 Another critic responded: “your only personality is using your RSD to get out of consequences for how badly you react to things.” According to Heathline, RSD or Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria is “characterized by extreme emotional sensitivity to being criticized or rejected, whether real or perceived.” https://twitter.com/dreamwastaken/status/1503905769753911300 Dream hit back: “Go find one instance of me ever remotely referencing RSD?! one instance?! No, this is my first piece of media ever mentioning RSD? interesting. here’s some RSD for you: suck my balls you moron.” The YouTuber’s original tweet has over 170,000 likes at the time of writing, and each subsequent tweet got tens and thousands of likes in their own right, with fans clearly divided on the issue. The Dream SMP fandom dominated Twitter throughout 2021, with four out of the ten most tweeted-about gaming creators on Twitter coming from the popular Minecraft server, including, of course, Dream himself.

Dream responds to #CancelDreamStans trend after death threats and backlash – Dexerto
Dream responds to #CancelDreamStans trend after death threats and backlash DreamMinecraft YouTuber Dream has hit back at critics of his fanbase after the hashtag #canceldreamstans trended on Twitter. Dream is one of the biggest streamers out there right now. After being virtually unknown at the start of 2020, his channel exploded due to the success of his Minecraft Manhunt series and mainstream attention on the Dream SMP – a collaborative Minecraft server involving other popular streamers. With all this success, Dream has accumulated a loyal following of almost 20 million YouTube subscribers, as well as a Twitch channel with nearly four million followers. However, with such popularity has come recurring controversy. Some of his followers have been accused of taking their support too far by sending death threats to people who don’t like his content. Why is #CancelDreamStans trending on Twitter? The feud began when, on March 18, Twitter user Awesome Nintendo Facts quote tweeted Dream. The YouTuber had celebrated entering YouTube’s Top 100 most-subscribed channels in the USA, but Awesome Nintendo Facts claimed the YouTuber was undeserving of his popularity. “This was the least deserved thing I’ve ever seen, there is no reason this guy should be as popular as he is,” they said. “You can enjoy his content if you want, I won’t judge. I’ve just had some bad experiences with his stans, they think being edgy is the funniest thing in the world.” https://twitter.com/nintendofac/status/1372356303587209220 The situation soon boiled over, as Awesome Nintendo Facts accused Dream’s fans of sending him death threats in response to his comment. “My accts are still being flooded with dream stans,” they added. “The community is an absolute s***hole. I do not respect any of the bull**** me or my supporters have been given and you guys need to get a f***ing life already.” They later started the #canceldreamstans to publicize this alleged toxicity. “A ‘Stan’ Is someone who is in essence, a stalker fan. It’s unhealthy and often times toxic,” they said. https://twitter.com/nintendofac/status/1373065150094209028 Dream responds to #canceldreamstans On March 20, Dream explained how asking his fans to stop sending such death threats was unlikely to accomplish anything. “This community has gone way too far,” he said, sarcastically. “A bunch of mostly teenagers enjoying watching content creators and making friends with each other? I have never seen anything quite as disgusting…” “Obviously I don’t support death threats or threats at all, or any kind of disrespect and I call it out all the time in my community. But people who do those things know that it’s wrong and do it anyway.” https://twitter.com/dreamwastaken/status/1373183650125189120 Obviously I don’t support death threats or threats at all, or any kind of disrespect and I call it out all the time in my community, but people who do those things know that it’s wrong and do it anyway. “Just tell people to stop murdering” -murder rate drops to 0- — dream (@dreamwastaken) March 20, 2021 Fellow Minecraft YouTuber BadBoyHalo also came to Dream’s defense. “The fact that people try to label an entire fandom under the actions of a few is awful,” he said. “Dream doesn’t condone any bad behavior and to blame him or anyone else for the actions of others is ridiculous.” Read More: Twitch bans GeorgeNotFound permanently again – This is not the first time Dream has responded to criticism towards his fanbase. Back in January, the streamer condemned the actions of fans who were creating art to ‘ship’ romantic connections between underage content creators, and hit back at those who blamed him for these fans’ actions. Fanbase toxicity is an occupational hazard that comes with becoming a major figure in streaming. As his channel continues to grow, it’s unlikely that Dream being caught up in situations like this will become less common.

Dream responds to claims he “rigged” new Minecraft mob vote – Dexerto
Dream responds to claims he “rigged” new Minecraft mob vote YouTube: DreamYouTuber Dream has responded to accusations that he “rigged” this year’s poll for the new Minecraft mob, after the claims started gaining traction on TikTok. Dream is a YouTuber with over 26 million subscribers, who is best known for his content about Minecraft, particularly the Dream SMP which features some of the community’s most popular creators. However, as a result of his huge following, he also tends to catch the attention of those who are less than fond of the star. After Minecraft announced this year’s poll for a new mod to be added to the game, Dream joked, “I’m going to rig it,” which led to a flood of backlash under the hashtag #DreamShutTheF**kUp. Some even planned to mass report the YouTuber across different platforms on the day of the vote, October 16. On October 14, Dream addressed some of the backlash. “As much as it is funny to joke about people getting deathly mad at a block game, I won’t be advocating for any mob as I understand why some people would be upset with me jokingly influencing the vote last year,” he wrote. as much as it is funny to joke about people getting deathly mad at a block game, I won’t be advocating for any mob as I understand why some people would be upset with me jokingly influencing the vote last year. Dream responds after Kaceytron calls out his ‘stans’ for attacking her – Dexerto
Dream responds after Kaceytron calls out his ‘stans’ for attacking her Dream/Kaceytron/InstagramPopular Minecraft personality Dream responded on stream after fellow broadcaster Kaceytron accused his “stans” of pushing a “false narrative” over some recent drama. The escalating feud between Twitch streamer Kaceytron and fans of Minecraft creator Dream all began when Kacey made a tweet on Friday, March 19, criticizing people for not holding their favorite content creators to the same standards as they do others. After the initial tweet, a number of people started to try and shut her down over it, and began digging through old tweets for more incriminating info. Drama continued well into the weekend, when on March 21, Kaceytron put out a longer statement on Google Docs to try and “clarify” the situation from her point of view. “The action [tweet] of mine described above resulted in hundreds from the MC community literally digging up things from 7 years ago with no context and trying to weaponize it against me, because I said something that they thought was specifically about Dream & George,” she wrote. “Literally weaponizing cancel culture.” In the document, she goes over each accusation that “stans” have thrown her way, and why they aren’t accurate, according to her. This wouldn’t be the end of things, though, as Kaceytron would go on to say she had received various threats and even had personal info – including bank information and phone calls – doxed. Dream broke his silence on the issue during a stream on March 22, where he said he didn’t support hate at all, but also that “Some people take certain things that aren’t hate, as hate.” “I denounce all hate for anybody, anybody at all, I denounce any and all hate. But I think that some people take certain things that aren’t hate, as hate, it depends on the personality,” Dream said on stream. “I’ve seen people say horrible things, I’ve seen people say threats. It happens with every community since the beginning of time, but it’s horrible to see.” While Dream obviously said he wasn’t ok with the hate going on, Kaceytron and her supporters thought the message downplayed the threats and other issues the Minecraft YouTube “stans,” including fans of Dream, were causing while trying to cancel her. https://twitter.com/kaceytron/status/1374264382452985858?s=20 This escalating conflict shows no sign of slowing down anytime soon either, as on March 23, the drama led to “kacey” being the top trending topic on Twitter for a few hours. Dream responds to accusations he used racial slur in old YouTube stream – Dexerto
Dream responds to accusations he used racial slur in old YouTube stream dreambranding.comYouTube sensation ‘Dream’ has been criticized for allegedly using a racial slur in a 2017 Minecraft stream. However, the star has denied the claims, saying they are “very clearly” false. An old YouTube stream from ‘untrusted’, allegedly featuring Dream, dating back to 2017 resurfaced on March 25. In the video, which has since been set to private, they allegedly use a racial slur — “pop pop n*****” — while playing a Minecraft Counter-Strike mod. The other players in the call repeatedly make reference to a player named ‘Dream’ across the 31-minute stream. However, Dream, the now-hit YouTuber with nearly 20 million subscribers, has shut down the claims. The online star said the voice in the clip was “very clearly” not his. “Just so people are aware, people are sharing a video of some random guy saying the n-word and saying it’s me, as well as a random account with a gross name history and saying it’s mine,” he said in a March 25 tweet. “Neither are me very clearly. People are disgusting.” Just so people are aware, people are sharing a video of some random guy saying the n word and saying it’s me, as well as a random account with a gross name history and saying it’s mine. Neither are me very clearly. People are disgusting. — dream (@dreamwastaken) March 25, 2021 Dream denies changing Minecraft name to offensive message The name change accusation comes from a now-viral tweet regarding a Minecraft account allegedly belonging to Dream. An indexed history of the account, which reveals previous names, shows it changing from “JewzDid911”, to “NotDream”, and later to “LoliAbductor” across a span from 2015 to 2017. “It’s ridiculous. Showing random Minecraft accounts that have no connection to me and saying they’re mine — literally a smear campaign,” the YouTube star added. Yeah, it’s ridiculous. Also showing random Minecraft accounts that have no connection to me and saying they’re mine 🥴 literally a smear campaign. thank you bad ❤️ — dream (@dreamwastaken) March 25, 2021 Dexerto has been unable to verify whether this account actually belongs to Dream. The YouTuber added that he hasn’t had any of the IDs associated with the account referenced above, although he said he didn’t get the ‘Dream’ account until 2019. Just so it’s here and not just on my private account; I didn’t have the account name “DeltaNinja” ever (not me), I wasn’t “Dream” until 2019, and the people who originally spread this obviously know it’s fake and are trolling (#dreamisoverparty) — dream (@dreamwastaken) March 26, 2021 Dream allegedly types racial slur on “DreamOnPvP” account Another set of screenshots of Dream allegedly using a racial slur, dating back to 2015, have also surfaced. The screenshots were sent by an anonymous user to ‘Gamingguru456’ on Twitter. They claim the screenshots are from Dream’s old account, “DreamOnPvP.” The videos have since been deleted. Dream responds after imposter makes serious threats using his name and image – Dexerto
Dream responds after imposter makes serious threats using his name and image YouTube: Dream/SoundCloudMinecraft YouTuber Dream has responded after someone impersonating him had been outed as threatening users on different social media platforms. Pretending to take on the persona of someone famous, or at least well known, has been a strangely popular thing to do on social media. Parody accounts pop up, of course, but there others who just flat out pretend to be someone they’re not, trying to convince others that they’re the real one. Sites like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitch had implemented verification processes, and the real people are usually signified with a verified tick or symbol of some kind. That doesn’t stop imposters from trying their hand, though, especially on sites where verification isn’t really a thing – and it can get creators like Dream in a bit of trouble. Minecraft YouTuber Dream found himself under fire from some users after an account bearing his name on SoundCloud was found to be threatening others in a pretty malicious way. One post showing the Dream imposter making threats went a bit viral on Twitter, and the YouTuber stepped in on his backup account to make it clear that it’s not him sending the messages. “For the record, this isn’t me, it’s someone posing as me,” the YouTuber commented under the viral post. “They also linked it on my Spotify, been trying to get it fixed.” For the record this isn’t me, it’s someone posing as me. They also linked it on my Spotify, been trying to get it fixed. — dream (@dreamwastaken) February 7, 2021 It obviously comes as a disappointment to some fans who received positive messages from the imposter, thinking they were in conversations with the real dream. “Dream I got so excited that you noticed me manpan> Though it should serve as yet another example of being careful, and knowing it’s the actual person behind the account when interacting with them. Fakes are pretty easy to sniff out thanks to different verification processes.

Dream responds after John Swan finally admits impersonating him in messages – Dexerto
Dream responds after John Swan finally admits impersonating him in messages YouTube: Dream / John SwanYouTuber John Swan has finally admitted to being the impersonator behind fake Dream accounts on Discord, saying he is ashamed of his actions. Dream says he’s happy the situation is over, but is disappointed in Swan. Earlier in February, drama swirled around Minecraft YouTuber Dream, as users made fake accounts pretending to be him and then posted heinous messages, particularly on Discord. This was then linked to John Swan, another YouTuber over 150,000 subscribers. After Dream called Swan out for being behind the profiles and the messages, Swan retorted by claiming Dream was trying to “smear” his name. Now, Swan has admitted and taken “full responsibility” for his actions, in a lengthy Twitter post on February 27. John Swan admits Dream messages In his post, captioned “taking accountability”, Swan says “there is no excuse for what I did and I take full responsibility.” Read More: MrBeast, Dream & more ‘ratio’ Wendy’s – “I panicked. There is no excuse.” https://twitter.com/JohnSwanYT/status/1365593093450330116 Dream responds to John Swan Following his admission, Dream thanked Swan for taking responsibility, plainly replying: “Thank you for the apology and confession.” Shortly before Swan’s post, Dream had posted a lengthy Twitter thread confirming that Swan was behind the whole thing. “I’m glad this has come to an end, but severely disappointed in John Swan for continuing to lie about me, despite me giving him multiple opportunities to tell the truth. I would like an apology to me and my community from John Swan, but I’ll probably not get one.” I knew about this new evidence about a week ago, and I offered in private for him to confess to me and apologize and delete his tweets and I wouldn’t criticize him publicly for it (without telling him about the evidence), and he still denied it fully and continued to tweet lies. — dream (@dreamwastaken) February 27, 2021 As I was writing this he actually put out an apology, so I take that part back. The rest stands! — dream (@dreamwastaken) February 27, 2021 He retracted the apology statement, following Swan’s post. Swan says he would have made a video about it instead of a Twitter post, but is unable as he is traveling currently. It’s likely that he will release a video upon returning. His channel currently has 176,000 subscribers – eyes will be on that count either increasing or decreasing as fans make their minds up about the situation. Meanwhile, Dream’s channel continues to blow up, currently on 18.7 million subscribers.

Dream ratios Jake Paul with hilarious boxing challenge amid UFC drama – Dexerto
Dream ratios Jake Paul with hilarious boxing challenge amid UFC drama Instagram: Jake Paul / YouTube: Anthony PadillaMinecraft YouTuber Dream chimed into Jake Paul’s ongoing feud with UFC President Dana White by pitching a hilarious boxing challenge of his own, ratioing him in the process. Tensions between Jake Paul and Dana White reached boiling point after the YouTuber-turned-boxer challenged the UFC President to increase fighter pay and provide long-term healthcare within his organization. Paul also said he’d retire from boxing immediately and have one last showdown with Jorge Masvidal in the octagon. White responded by calling Paul a “cheater” and challenging him to do a steroid test, which he accepted. However, their beef was temporarily overshadowed by Dream, The Game Awards 2021 Content Creator of the Year, after he responded to Paul’s latest comments with a challenge of his own. He wants to”kick his ass.” “Three days left on my offer Dana,” wrote Paul. “I’ll retire from boxing forever. You’re running out of time.” Dream popped in out of nowhere, saying: “I could kick your ass” – implying that he’s keen to lock horns in the ring. His response accrued a massive 1,500 retweets and 50,000 likes compared to Paul’s 275 retweets and 15,000 likes, thereby ‘ratioing’ him in the process. This wasn’t the end of their exchange, by far. Jake Paul went on to respond to Dream, joking that he “won Minecraft before you were born, keep Dream’in.” This led to a slew of exchanges on Twitter, with YouTuber Sapnap asking if Dream thought he could beat Jake in the ring. hey kid i won minecraft before you were born, keep Dream’in https://t.co/CaRozdbvqH — Jake Paul (@jakepaul) January 4, 2022 “Yeah man, you got it,” Dream said. “You’d beat his dad up, too.” This remark didn’t go past Jake’s noticed, who responded to the claim: “I’ll out speed run both of you pu$$ies.” I’ll out speed run both of u pu$$ies https://t.co/YYgJzxlYlR — Jake Paul (@jakepaul) January 4, 2022 It’s not the first time Dream has ratioed someone on social media. In February 2021, he ratioed the official Wendy’s Twitter account along with Jimmy ‘MrBeast’ Donaldson and fellow Minecrafter GeorgeNotFound. While it’s unlikely that we’ll ever see an actual boxing match between these two social media giants, it certainly makes for an interesting encounter that no one saw coming.

Dream opens up about #HESUGLY Twitter trend immediately after viral face reveal – Dexerto
Dream opens up about #HESUGLY Twitter trend immediately after viral face reveal YouTube: DreamMinecraft megastar Dream finally revealed his face to more than 30 million fans, but he was met with rude comments that made enough noise to trend on Twitter. Here’s what he had to say. On October 2, the largest Minecraft content creator on the internet finally revealed his face. Dream – aka Clay – would tease the reveal for 48 hours before his YouTube premiere would rack up over 1.5 million live viewers. Of course, #DreamFaceReveal would skyrocket to the #1 spot on Twitter’s trending page. However, the joyous moment was also accompanied by a wave of negativity that resulted in #HESUGLY also making it close to the top of trending. The majority of viewers, regardless of their relation to Dream and his fanbase, agreed that the content creator was a pretty normal-looking guy. Suffice it to say, the internet deemed Dream “traditionally handsome” while trolls flung insults for a myriad of reasons. Dream takes his face reveal hate in stride In an interview with Bloomberg, Dream touched on the hate he received following his highly anticipated face reveal. He stated, “I got texted by so many friends of mine being like, ‘Are you OK?’ I was like, well, yeah, when you have 30 million eyeballs on you, a million, two million people are going to be making jokes or be mean or are not great people. When you take that big of a pool, there’s going to be a portion.” He even touched on how he’s numb to hate during the face reveal video. “I feel like I’ve gotten so desensitized to hate, that I find a lot of it funny… that I probably maybe shouldn’t.” He recounted a time that he received a text message from someone claiming to be an FBI agent, but he laughed it off as someone trolling him. However, it turned out to be a serious inquiry from an actual member of the FBI. So, while the goal of #HESUGLY was to tear down the streamer, he seems to be handling the toxicity in stride. In fact, he’s been spending the weekend with his closest friends at TwitchCon hosting various panels and events, and aims to make more IRL contention in the future.

Dream opens up on his sexuality amid speculation from fans – Dexerto
Dream opens up on his sexuality amid speculation from fans Instagram: dreamwastakenDream has lit a fire under discourse around his sexuality. Long been discussed, the YouTuber took to Twitter with a simple pronouncement that fans are pulling apart word by word and analyzing to the extreme. Dream is the poster boy for Minecraft YouTube. With more than 29 million subscribers on his personal channel, everything he does is leapt upon and fiended for by his hyper-passionate fanbase. Sparking up fresh discussion, he took to Twitter to address discussions around his sexuality, giving out a smattering of details in his signature cryptic style. “I’m not gay, I think women are very attractive, some men are ok too I guess,” tweeted the YouTuber to his 4.9 million Twitter followers, and from there, the retweets and comments took off. I’m not gay I think women are very attractive, some men are ok too I guess — Dream (@Dream) April 11, 2022 This isn’t the first time that Dream has caused a storm with romantic discussions, after recently providing support for ‘Toxic shippers’ in his community. Fans and fellow content creators took Dream’s words and have started fierce discussions about what it could mean. With focus heavily upon the idea that ‘women are very attractive’ pigeonhole’s the YouTuber as straight. “Told you so” quote tweeted fellow content creator ‘KaceyTron.’ In opposition to the idea that this single tweet defined anything about Dream’s preferences, there is also strong argument against the idea that “not gay” is the same as hardcore straight. “I’m not gay” ≠ straight. Other labels exist. Y’all are so fucking annoying. Automatically assuming “I’m not gay” = straight invalidates people who are bisexual, pansexual, etc. thanks for coming to my Ted talk — Devi (@DeviTheDeviant) April 10, 2022 Multiple people in the comments section opened up the concept of labels in rejection of a sexual binary. “I’m not gay ≠ straight” becoming a rallying call for anyone wanting to bring awareness to the wide spectrum of sexuality. With Dream keeping his sexual identity out of the public eye for so long, it makes sense that he’s stoking discussion in the least direct way possible. Garnering support for the his words, whatever they may mean, fellow YouTuber and collaborator MrBeast threw his significant presence behind Dream in the simplest and clearest way possible. “Vouch“
