Michael Reeves builds laser baby to celebrate season 2 of The Boys – Dexerto
Michael Reeves builds laser baby to celebrate season 2 of The Boys YouTube: Michael ReevesTo celebrate the season two release of superhero action series The Boys, YouTuber Michael Reeves set about the task of building a functional laser baby to mimic the one seen in the show’s explosive first season. 22-year-old Michael Reeves is a YouTuber with over 5 million subscribers, known for his silly but equally very impressive technology builds and gadget related videos. In his previous video, he built a chair that gives people a small electric shock if they can’t beat a Where’s Waldo puzzle fast enough. Now, to promote the new season of The Boys, Michael was set the task by Amazon to build a functioning replica of the laser baby featured in season one, that in the show has the power to cut two people in half. But of course, Michael wasn’t going to give Amazon exactly what they wanted from him, and set about making his own interpretation of the guidelines, making jokes at Amazon’s expense along the way. He began by sawing into a dolly baby’s head and pulling out its eyes (proving to be a vaguely disturbing experience for both Michael and his audience,) before inserting the laser diodes into the sockets. Michael used this new and improved baby to set alight the replica doll he was sent by the show itself, by using low powered lasers and placing a laser-activated sensor inside the other baby for a fiery reaction. He used CO2 canisters of fake blood to simulate bodies being “cut in half” and finally recreated the original laser baby scene with his technological masterpieces. At the time of writing the video has over 4 million views, people loving the recreation of the weirdest character. Season 2 of The Boys releases on September 4 2020 on Amazon Prime.

Michael Bisping slams TikTok & YouTube boxing craze: “Someone’s going to get hurt” – Dexerto
Michael Bisping slams TikTok & YouTube boxing craze: “Someone’s going to get hurt” Instagram/Jakepaul/mikebispingFormer UFC champion Michael Bisping had some choice words for TikTokers, YouTubers and influencers trying to get into the fight game amid the rise of Jake Paul’s boxing career. Ever since Logan and Jake Paul began fighting other influencers and professional athletes in the ring, other celebrities have entered the fray to partake, such as with the infamous YouTubers vs TikTokers event. Now, while speaking on The Fighter vs The Writer podcast, Michael Bisping revealed his true thoughts on the influencer boxing trend and how nervous he is for some of these folks stepping into the ring. First, he commented on Jake Paul’s rise to boxing stardom and actually gave some props to the YouTuber. Michael Bisping praises Jake Paul’s boxing career “He’s got a massive following. I think a lot of people are quick to doubt him, quick to write him off, although I do think he’s dispelling that myth a little bit and people are starting to come on board,” Bisping explained. Part of the reason for Paul’s credibility to grow comes in the form of his opponents and their caliber, especially with his next fight coming against former MMA champ Tyron Woodley, who Bisping actually predicts will lose to the YouTuber. “The first one was KSI or someone like that I’m not sure. Then the basketballer, again whatever, but then he fought Ben Askren. I said I knew that was a perfect matchup. Even though Jake Paul comes across as a bit of an idiot, he’s pretty smart because that was the perfect matchup. That was genius matchmaking,” he said. Bisping warns influencers fighting isn’t a game Despite Bisping’s views on Paul, he isn’t as big of a fan as other influencers stepping into the fight business and warns that someone could end up suffering a major injury. “What I’m not a fan of is because Jake Paul’s done that and you see other people doing it, Logan Paul’s doing it, and now you have every motherf**ker on the planet thinking they’re a fighter,” he blasted. “Every motherf**ker on the planet thinking that it’s easy and you can go in there and have these fights. It’s not a f**king game. You see there was something with some TikTokker’s recently and they were all having a fight and these celebrity fights.” He then brought up the upcoming bout between Game Of Thrones star The Mountain and Eddie Hall, which has been postponed due to injuries. “We’ve got ‘The Mountain’ or someone fighting, these two big massive juiceheads or strong men or power lifters or whatever they are, forget their names, they’re fighting soon and it’s like this big thing,” he added. “Ooh we’ll just make everyone fight one another and it’s great and it will all be a laugh. It’s not a laugh. It’s to be taken seriously. Someone’s going to get f**king hurt eventually,” he warned. Bisping insisted he was only harsh because he’s worried for peoples’ safety and he has needed multiple surgeries throughout his career as a professional fighter. “I’ve had about 25 surgeries throughout the course of my career and you’ve got these f**king idiots going in there that have never conditioned their body to the kind of damage that it’s going to take,” the 42-year-old stated. It will be interesting to see how the influencer community responds to Bisping’s warning, but with the popularity of these fight events continuing to grow, it may just end up falling on deaf ears.

Michael Bisping threatens Logan Paul after claiming he’d beat him: “I’ll tear your head off” – Dexerto
Michael Bisping threatens Logan Paul after claiming he’d beat him: “I’ll tear your head off” YouTube: Michael Bisping/Logan PaulUFC legend Michael Bisping threatened to “tear” Logan Paul’s head off after the YouTuber claimed he could beat Bisping in a fight. Even though he hasn’t got a perfect boxing record after losing to KSI and hasn’t fought in quite some time, Logan Paul still has the confidence that he could beat pretty much anyone. ‘The Maverick’ did manage to take Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather to a draw, but that bout was contested as an exhibition. Like his brother Jake, Logan has backed himself to beat quite a few fighters from the Mixed Martial Arts world as well, including Michael ‘The Count’ Bisping. That happened on Bobby Lee’s Tigerbelly podcast, and Logan didn’t just back himself in a boxing match against Bisping, but believes he could beat him in a backyard or street fight as well. Michael Bisping bites back at Logan Paul’s claim he’d beat him in fight Well, those comments got onto the former UFC Champion’s radar as he addressed it during the January 6 episode of his Bisping & Smith podcast. “Bobby Lee is throwing names at Logan Paul and whether or not he’d beat them in a fight, and he goes Michael Bisping, oh yeah I’d beat him,” Bisping said, noting that Logan called him “old” to boot. “I am old, bro, Logan Paul, you f*cking don’t know what you’re talking about and I’m not going to sit here and say I’m very, very hard and tough, but the path we’ve been on, come on, it’s a different path,” he added. “Bro, you don’t want to be f*cking locked down a dark alley with me after I’ve had six cans of Sapporo. I will tear your f*cking head off, Logan Paul.” Timestamp of 1:15:50 Bisping did credit Logan for being an “entertainer” but noted that he’d be “arrested for manslaughter” if the pair ever did get into a fight. It is a fight that is unlikely to happen either inside the ring or out of it, seeing as Bisping has a long-term eye injury and won’t get cleared.

Michael Bisping defends Jake Paul for not taking “tough” boxing fights – Dexerto
Michael Bisping defends Jake Paul for not taking “tough” boxing fights Screenshot via YouTube: In Depth With Graham BensingerUFC legend Michael Bisping defended Jake Paul for not taking “tough” fights, pointing to how “dangerous” combat sports can be regardless of whether someone is a newcomer or veteran. Jake Paul’s foray into the world of boxing has been met with pretty strong opinions over the last few years, both in support of his move and critics taking aim at the quality of his fights. While the YouTuber-turned-boxer has been able to defeat former UFC fighters inside the ring, he has yet to take on a ‘real’ boxer that has grown up honing their skills in the sweet science. That has, naturally, drawn some criticism and claims that he’s ‘avoiding’ boxers in favor of fights where he may have the upper hand. Michael Bisping, who Jake has traded verbal jabs with over the years, has always been quick to have his say on the YouTuber’s fights and claims, but even he can’t knock him for not taking “tough” fights. The former UFC champion, who has been in talks to fight Jake before, posted a video on June 11, talking about the dangers of combat sports following the tragic death of South African boxer Simiso Buthelezi. Pointing to the rise of influencer boxing events over the years, Bisping noted the sport remains “dangerous,” even for someone like Jake who has decent skills and a few fights under his belt. “Yes, Jake Paul. Of course, Jake Paul, he’s boxing people these days but he’s being smart,” Bisping said. “He’s not looking for tough fights, is he? I don’t blame the guy because it’s very, very dangerous. It’s not for everybody.” Timestamp of 2:30 Bisping further expanded on his point about the dangers of boxing, noting how “masses” and “YouTubers” want to get involved, but maybe don’t respect it enough. As we’ve seen, some influencer events have taken safety precautions by using head guards to minimize the impact of strikes but others don’t. Who knows if that’ll change in the future.

Michael Bisping makes Jake Paul PPV claim regarding potential Nate Diaz fight – Dexerto
Michael Bisping makes Jake Paul PPV claim regarding potential Nate Diaz fight YouTube: In Depth/Instagram: Nate DiazUFC legend Michael ‘The Count’ Bisping claims that Jake Paul has been “struggling” with his pay-per-view numbers and isn’t sure a fight with Nate Diaz would bring what he’s thinking. Even though he’s preparing to fight Hasim Rahman Jr. on August 6, Jake Paul always has one eye on the future and who he might be fighting the next time he steps into a boxing ring. The YouTuber-turned-boxer is confident that he’ll defeat Rahman at Madison Square Garden and believes it could even “open the door” for him to fight ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson – a fight that he also believes he’d win, and perhaps easily as well. Aside from that, there is also the possibility that Jake mixes it up with another UFC fighter seeing as Nate Diaz will be out of contract before long and there has been interest in making a fight happen. Though, Michael Bisping isn’t sure that fight would bring in the mega number that some, including Jake, may be expecting. Michael Bisping claims Jake Paul’s PPVs are “struggling” Ahead of UFC’s Fight Night in London on July 23, ‘The Count’ posted a video to his YouTube channel discussing Diaz’s final fight in the Octagon, where he’s set to come up against Khamzat Chimaev. While giving his analysis of the fight, Bisping touched on Diaz’s future, which could easily include that long-awaited fight with Jake. “Jake Paul has it in his mind that him and Nate Diaz are gonna do millions of pay-per-view buys. I think that probably would do some big numbers, but Jake Paul has been struggling,” the UFC legend said while also referencing Jake’s recent shots at Conor McGregor’s PPV sales. “McGregor smashes it out of the f**king park every time he does a pay-per-view. It’s massive numbers. Jake Paul was bragging on that video that the one with Tyron Woodley got 200k pay-per-view buys, which isn’t bad. But you don’t make any money on 200k buys if you’re in the UFC.” Timestamp of 6:00 As Bisping notes, the fight would probably make both fighters a nice chunk of change, but maybe not the eye-watering amounts that they’re thinking. With Jake having a tricky test in the form of Rahman Jr, who knows if he’ll keep his undefeated streak and even get to fight Diaz. We’ll just have to wait for the fallout from the August 6 fight.

Michael Bisping blasts “pretender” Jake Paul & claims he’s dodging Anderson Silva – Dexerto
Michael Bisping blasts “pretender” Jake Paul & claims he’s dodging Anderson Silva YouTube: Michael Bisping/Jake PaulUFC legend Michael Bisping has hit back at Jake Paul’s conditions for them to fight, claiming the YouTuber should fight MMA icon Anderson Silva first as that’s an actual option on the table. Jake Paul is stepping back into the boxing ring in August, but as of now, he doesn’t have an opponent announced just yet. Though, he has been in a war of words with plenty of potential opponents including UFC legend Michael Bisping. The verbal, and virtual, jabs between the two have been pretty vicious to this point. Jake has repeatedly mocked Bisping’s long-standing eye injury, while ‘The Count’ has stated that it’d be an easy night’s work for him. With the YouTuber urging the UFC legend to get a license so that they can make the bout happen, Bisping has clapped back at the number of hoops he is seemingly having to jump through. After Jake wanted legal confirmation that Bisping is no longer under contract with the UFC, and therefore free to take on a boxing match, the Brit urged him to stop and just fight Anderson Silva instead. “Jake ‘The Pretender’ Paul, first it was fight me, then was show me you can get licensed and now it’s show me you’re not under contract. Mate I wouldn’t give you the steam off my piss,” Bisping tweeted on April 20. “Just accept the Anderson Silva fight which I KNOW for a fact has been offered. Jake???” Jake The Pretender Paul @jakepaul first it was fight me, then was show me you can get licensed and now it’s show me you’re not under contract. Mate I wouldn’t give you the steam off my piss.Just accept the Anderson Silva fight which I KNOW for a fact has been offered. Jake??? https://t.co/64jUEqvhTk — michael (@bisping) April 20, 2022 While Jake didn’t offer up a response to Bisping’s post, his Most Valuable Promotions brand stepped in on his behalf, claiming that Dana White “controls” the former UFC champion. “Important REMINDER JAKE fans: Tommy Fury and Anderson Silva are both fighting over the next 4 weeks,” they also said, defending the YouTuber from any claims that he might be dodging fights. When @bisping admits he’s actually still under UFC contract 5 years after retiring. Dana White controls him. Also important REMINDER JAKE fans: Tommy Fury and Anderson Silva are both fighting over the next 4 weeks. https://t.co/tiYDXENHfg — Most Valuable Promotions (@MostVpromotions) April 20, 2022 At this point, it appears a fight between Jake and Bisping is unlikely to happen, but things can change quickly in the fight game. His opponent for August is still up in the air, but the YouTuber has been adamant in wanting somebody who can match him in name value. So, we’ll just have to wait and see.

Miami mall shut down by police as rumors of “8-10ft” aliens inside go viral – Dexerto
Miami mall shut down by police as rumors of “8-10ft” aliens inside go viral Twitter: JustXAshton, MattFrenchArtFootage of cop cars swarming a Miami mall has sparked rumors of “8-10ft shadow aliens” being responsible for the massive police presence called to the shopping center. Chaos broke out at the Bayside Marketplace in Miami, Florida on New Year’s Day after a large group of “unruly juveniles” sparked a riot at the open-air mall. Reports state that the teens were shooting off fireworks and causing panic among shoppers. The sound of fireworks caused one resident to mistake them for gunshots, who called police to alert them of a potential shooting situation. As a result, a massive swarm of cop cars gathered around the shopping center around 8 PM that evening. Footage from the event went viral across social media days later— but not for the reasons you might expect. Miami mall ‘alien’ incident goes viral on social media Several threads have now gone viral online as netizens claim that, instead of teenagers disrupting the mall, “8-10ft tall shadow aliens” were to blame for the swath of police that showed up at the scene. “Some witnesses are reporting 8-10 foot shadow beings were being shot at by people, with others fleeing,” one viral post claims on Twitter/X. “Supposedly people went into fight or flight mode.” Still others are zooming in on one of the videos taken from the incident, with one user claiming to see a “gray creature walking in between these police cars and the building.” However, still, more netizens aren’t convinced that aliens were the ones responsible for the incident, with many mocking the theory in humorous posts. Are the Miami mall alien rumors true? So… were there really aliens at the Bayside Marketplace? Thus far, no official reports have claimed as such, nor do they include any supposed witness statements about tall shadow creatures that are circulating online. In fact, Miami police have now debunked the claims of aliens running amok at the Bayside Marketplace. In response to a viral video seemingly showing a shadowy figure, a Miami PD spokesperson said: “What is seen in this clip is the shadow of someone walking. If you look at the bottom of the shadow, you can see the person. No creature.” Despite this, plenty of social media users are still convinced that the number of officers who showed up to the scene was “disproportionally large for kids fighting with sticks.” Reports from NBC Miami state that four teens were arrested as a result of the riot for assaulting a man at the scene. Miami police say that two of the teens are facing charges on “burglary unoccupied conveyance, grand theft, battery, and resisting an officer without violence.”

Michael Bisping and Dillon Danis trade barbs on Twitter over KSI’s boxing skills – Dexerto
Michael Bisping and Dillon Danis trade barbs on Twitter over KSI’s boxing skills YouTube: TheMacLife, JJ Olatunji, GQ SportsRetired mixed martial artist Michael Bisping is backing YouTube star KSI in his upcoming boxing match against Welterweight Dillon Danis, trading verbal blows with him over Twitter. KSI is gearing up to take on MMA star Dillon Danis on January 14, 2023 in one of his biggest boxing matches yet — and he’s got a major name in his corner. KSI and Danis had been snapping back and forth via social media for some time prior to signing a contract, sparking rumors that the two would be meeting in the ring to finally settle their differences. In late November, Danis confronted his YouTube rival in person at the weigh-in for a Misfits Boxing x DAZN event, getting into a scuffle with the influencer and even trading blows with Anthony Taylor outside the venue. The very next day, it was revealed that the two rivals would be fighting come 2023. Right now, fans are divided as to who will come out on top… but KSI has a major player who’s confident the YouTuber will take home the victory. Michael Bisping backs KSI over Dillon Danis for upcoming fight Actor, sports commentator, and mixed martial artist Michael Bisping threw a veiled insult toward Danis on Twitter after the latter asked Bisping who he favored for the upcoming bout. “Tough call,” Bisping wrote in a sarcastic reply. “I mean you’re known for having devastating boxing skills right. I fear KSI may have messed up here.” KSI shot back with his own verbal barb, writing: “Lmao, you have felt my power on pads, and back then I was terrible. Dillion is sleeping whether I train or not.” The YouTuber is referencing a past training session he had with Bisping, which he also uploaded to Twitter shortly thereafter to show off his skills even when he was “terrible” at the sport. “Here we have Bisping singing my praises when I was terrible,” he wrote. “Imagine what I’d do to Dillion now?” This marks KSI’s third bout after his return to boxing, with the British internet star most recently taking on rapper Swarmz and Mexican pro boxer Luis Pineda in his ‘two fights, one night’ event over the summer.

Miami corrections officials say Nikita Dragun wasn’t held in men’s jail after arrest – Dexerto
Miami corrections officials say Nikita Dragun wasn’t held in men’s jail after arrest YouTube: Nikita DragunOfficials at the Miami-Dade corrections facility have denied claims that transgender influencer Nikita Dragun was held in a men’s unit after reports sparked backlash online. Transgender YouTube star and model Nikita Dragun was reportedly arrested on the weekend of November 5 after appearing nude at the Goodtime Hotel pool in Miami, Florida. Dragun was charged with felony battery on a police officer, misdemeanor disorderly conduct, and misdemeanor battery after allegedly throwing water on an officer and security guards before being detained on a $5,000 bond. At the time of writing, Dragun has been released from jail — but reports state that the influencer was referred to by he/him pronouns in a police report and was allegedly placed in a men’s ward, according to a recorded conversation between Dragun and Judge Mindy Glazer during her hearing. In the conversation, Nikita asked Judge Glazer if she “has to stay here in the men’s unit still.” Judge Glazer replied that she “doesn’t make the rules” at the facility but encouraged Dragun to ask a bondsman for separate accommodations. However, the Miami-Dade Corrections facility is denying any claims of placing Dragun in a men’s unit as per reports from NBC 6 South Florida. Nikita Dragun was not held in men’s unit, says Miami-Dade corrections facility “Inmate Dragun never made it beyond the booking process prior to release; therefore, she was never placed in a men’s unit,” spokesperson Juan Diasgranados stated. “All inmates undergoing our intake process remain in an open seating area, in the presence of correctional staff.” Diasgranados also claimed that Dragun was placed in a separate holding cell due to her “high profile status” as an influencer on top of purportedly being escorted by an LGBTQ officer during her stay. Thus far, Dragun has not released a statement speaking on her arrest, which has sparked a debate online regarding her purported treatment at the Miami-Dade correctional center.

Miami influencer deletes Instagram after arrest over $381k fraud charges Instagram: DanielaRendonAn Instagram influencer based out of Miami, Florida has deleted her account after she was arrested over allegedly using $381k in disaster relief money to fund her glamorous lifestyle. Daniela Rendon, a real estate broker and Instagram influencer based in Miami, Florida received $381,000 in relief funds meant to help her business stay afloat. She allegedly used the funds to pay for her glamorous lifestyle instead, and now she’s deleted her account and is facing fraud charges. Instagram influencer facing charges for fraud According to the US Attorney for the Southern District of Florida, Daniela Rendon was charged with fraudulently obtaining relief loans and grants. To access the funds, she allegedly enrolled with a payroll processor to give checks to herself, family members, and friends. Also included in the report, the US Attorney alleges that Rendon used the funds to lease a 2021 Bentley Bentayga, rent a luxury apartment in Florida, pay for plastic surgery, and refinish some of her designer shoes. Soon after the news broke, Daniela’s Instagram account went private and has since been deleted entirely. Amassing over 30,000 followers, the influencer was known for showing off her lavish lifestyle featuring expensive clothes, cars, yachts around Miami, and more. She’s being charged with seven counts of wire fraud, two counts of money laundering, and one count of aggravated identity theft. If found guilty, the mother of three faces up to 20 years in prison. MGK slaps adam22’s mic in heated confrontation over Eminem battle – Dexerto
MGK slaps adam22’s mic in heated confrontation over Eminem battle Rapper MGK and his beef with Eminem may be long finished, but he still has a grudge with some of his critics such as YouTuber Adam ‘adam22’ Grandmaison. Back in 2018, MGK and Eminem were engaged in a rap feud stemming from a tweet about Eminem’s daughter in 2012. In the song “Not Alike” on Eminem’s 2018 album Kamikaze, the rapper name-dropped MGK and that caused a back-and-forth battle between the two. MGK dropped “Rap Devil” where he criticized the Detroit rapper’s age and how long it took for him to come back with a response to the tweet. In response, Eminem released “Killshot” and after that, many pundits deemed the battle to be effectively over. Adam22 released a video saying MGK was “mutilated” in a nearly 14-minute video, and the general consensus agreed with him. Even though we’re now about a year and a half out from that battle, MGK appears to have a razor-sharp memory, as when he ran into the YouTuber interviewing FaZe Banks, the rapper walked up to Adam and slapped his mic before walking away. Adam took this opportunity to reopen an old wound and poke a little fun at it. “MGK not too happy about me saying Eminem won that battle,” he tweeted with a clip of the incident. MGK not too happy about me saying Eminem won that battle 😂😂😂 pic.twitter.com/8zT9LamO7B — adam22 (@adam22) December 15, 2019 While many think MGK lost the battle, the Cleveland rapper has still been doing pretty well for himself. In 2018 alone, he starred in the Netflix film Bird Box and was part of rock band Fall Out Boy’s Mania tour, where he performed his diss track Rap Devil. In 2019, he released his album Hotel Diablo which debuted at number five on the Billboard 200, which isn’t too bad for someone whose career was proclaimed dead by many following his feud with Eminem. Things between the two rappers have quietened down in 2019, but as we’ve seen with rap battles before, all it takes is a simple tweet to stir something up again.

MGK has a major problem with the Eminem feud – Dexerto
MGK has a major problem with the Eminem feud Breakfast Club Power 105.1 FM / BillboardRapper and actor Richard ‘Machine Gun Kelly’ Baker spoke on his feud with Eminem in an interview on the Breakfast Club Power 105.1 FM morning show. While the interview touched on many aspects of the rapper’s career, MGK admitted that he felt his beef with Marshall Mathers was becoming one-sided through social media. He specifically mentioned a video taken while he performed at a Fall Out Boy concert, where the crowd appears to be booing his guest performance of diss track ‘Rap Devil.’ However, those boos appear to have been edited, as a few other video clips taken during the performance feature no such negativity. Kelly compared their feud to a boxing match, where he felt the audience was throwing figurative banana peels into the ring. “You fake-edited boos into a performance of me performing Rap Devil,” he said in response to the matter. “You can’t edit the narrative to be what it’s not.” He likewise stated that there have been edits of ghost-writing in some of his songs, as well. MGK was confident that he’d beaten Eminem in their contest, and compared his opponent’s diss track to “Rocky’s last movie.” “Your boy’s knees are weak… you’ve got to accept it,” he claimed. “The legend just got punched in the mouth.” He also addressed claims that he’d written ‘Rap Devil’ seven months ago, referencing footage of himself recording the song on the Friday of ‘Kamikaze’s’ release. MGK and Eminem’s recent beef began with ‘Kamikaze,’ an album by Eminem that took shots at a slew of music artists, Machine Gun Kelly included. MGK then released ‘Rap Devil’ in turn, to which Eminem responded with his song, ‘Killshot.’ While the two rappers have been going back and forth for a while, it appears as though their feud is coming to a head – especially with MGK’s newest EP, ‘Binge.’

Metal vocalist pauses song mid-stream to give troubled fan life advice – Dexerto
Metal vocalist pauses song mid-stream to give troubled fan life advice Known for captivating metal crowds around the world, Trivium’s vocalist Matthew Heafy engaged on a more personal level with a troubled viewed throughout a recent Twitch stream. As a Grammy-nominated vocalist, Heafy is often on the road performing in front of thousands while touring. In his down-time, however, the frontman often performs from the comfort of his own home, streaming live on Twitch. Throughout a recent broadcast, Heafy paused in the middle of a song to address one particularly distressing message from a fan going through some extreme difficulties in their life. As a worrying message flew by in the chat, the vocalist stopped what he was doing, rested a guitar on his lap, and did what he could to spread some positive advice. “You’ve got a lot of friends here… don’t even think those thoughts,” Heafy said, calling on his viewers to fill the chat with supportive words of encouragement. “When you’ve got something tough going on, what I do…I put that into songs. If you’re not a songwriter, write down some words. They don’t have to be poetic, they don’t have to be anything, just write down how you feel.” While Heafy’s creative outlet can only provide so much reassurance, the singer emphasized the importance of therapy and addressed how everyone should be engaging with professionals regardless of their current mental state. “You need to see someone professionally. I see a therapist a couple of times a month, every month. It’s good for you, you need to be doing it. Seeing a therapist is like getting a massage, it’s like seeing a chiropractor, it’s like having a beer… it’s good for you. If anyone ever says it’s bad for you they’re full of sh*t.” As well as chatting to his fans, Heafy often performs a litany of tracks from Trivium’s deep discography dating back to 2003’s Ember to Inferno. However, the vocalist also tends to broaden his range and tackle all sorts of varying challenges put forth by those in his chat. Most recently, Heafy put forth his own take on the latest Netflix hit. ‘Toss A Coin To Your Witcher’ has become a viral sensation and the singer was quick to master his own rendition, iterating over and over before one final live recording. Heafy went on to stream for a number of hours after addressing the troubled viewer, with an endless influx of support also flowing in from many of his 100,000 plus followers on the platform. There’s no denying the words of others can invoke significant change in our lives. Here’s hoping that the heartfelt advice from Trivium’s frontman and his chat brought a smile to the troubled viewer. Metallica faces backlash over past comments amid Stranger Things fame – Dexerto
Metallica faces backlash over past comments amid Stranger Things fame WIKIMEDIA: DALLAS FLETCHERMetallica is facing backlash from some ‘Stranger Things’ fans, over comments they made in the past. The heavy metal band got a boost of popularity among younger music fans, after ‘Stranger Things‘ played their song ‘Master of Puppets’ during a crucial scene. However, the veteran band is currently facing controversy from young fans who have just discovered them. The new generation of music fans are now trying to cancel Metallica over “problematic” comments they made in the past. Metallica’s past controversies resurface It all started last week, when TikToker Serena Trueblood called them out in a video. The content creator uses her platform to discuss various artists and past controversies linked to them, and over the weekend, she chose to cover Metallica’s problematic past. In the clip, which already has over 265,000 views, Trueblood details how former bassist Jason Newsted appeared to do a Nazi salute onstage. She also shares that the band mocked the then-recent death of Nirvana’s front man, Kurt Cobain, who committed suicide in 1994. Furthermore, Metallica’s singer James Hetfield was accused of racism, as Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose alleged that Hetfield referred to rapper Ice-T using a racial slur. ‘Stranger Things’ fans want to cancel Metallica The comment section of the original video is currently turned off. However, screenshots show that it was filled with young ‘Stranger Things’ fans wanting to “cancel” the band for their past scandals. A recent viral tweet, by user hendrixnroses, reads: “Stranger things/Eddie stans trying to cancel metallica now for their problematic past is funny to me idc.” The tweet shows two screenshots from the comment section of Trueblood’s TikTok video. “I LITERALLY ripped the tag off my Metallica shirt half an hour ago :(” one fan commented under the original video. “God I wish I watched this before I bought my Metallica shirt” another fan added. While new fans were disappointed with the band’s past controversies, older fans in the replies sided with Metallica. “Not Axl Rose being used as a source for Metallica getting canceled, he’s literally known as one of the worst people in the industry.” someone wrote. “Bands like the Beatles and Metallica are honestly too influential to be ‘canceled’ like they’re literally institutions in music and culture ??? You can’t cancel them for the past” another person quipped.

Messi’s viral Instagram post overtakes Bella Poarch’s most-liked TikTok – Dexerto
Messi’s viral Instagram post overtakes Bella Poarch’s most-liked TikTok Instagram: bellapoarch, leomessiFootball star Lionel Messi’s viral Instagram post from the 2022 FIFA World Cup has become the most liked social media post of all time, even surpassing Bella Poarch’s famous ‘M to the B’ TikTok. Argentina took home the victory at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, marking a long-awaited comeback since the country’s last World Cup win in 1986. Lionel Messi, the star of the show, posted a celebratory photo to Instagram to commemorate the occasion, showing himself lifting up the coveted trophy for the camera lens. The post also contained several other photos from the iconic moment, including a heartfelt statement on taking home the trophy for Argentina after such a long time. According to reports, the post racked up over 43 million likes in 24 hours’ time — and now, it has become the world’s most-liked social media post ever. At the time of writing, Messi’s photo has accrued over 64.3 million likes, beating out Instagram’s previously viral ‘world record egg’ pic and numerous other posts about his own chess match against Cristiano Ronaldo. Messi’s Instagram photo becomes most-liked social media post of all time It has even beaten out every single other post on any other social platform, including a record-breaking post made by Bella Poarch in 2020. Poarch, a TikTok star and music artist, first broke onto the online scene with her viral clip lip syncing to the song ‘M to the B.’ Her simple head-bopping moves and facial expressions saw the short video garner over 60 million likes. In comparison, Twitter’s most-liked post is a Tweet announcing the tragic passing of actor Chadwick Boseman in 2020, which has over 7 million likes. Messi’s World Cup photos have also surpassed YouTube’s most-liked video, the Despacito music video, which currently holds over 50 million likes. Poarch’s clip still ranks as TikTok’s most-liked post of all time — but it looks like Messi’s Instagram post has beaten it out by over four million likes. Thus far, Poarch hasn’t yet responded to her hugely viral clip being overtaken by one of football’s biggest stars… but it’s clear that Argentina’s win has captured the hearts and minds of fans all across the globe in a huge way.

Metal band livestreams entire concert free on Twitch due to coronavirus – Dexerto
Metal band livestreams entire concert free on Twitch due to coronavirus Twitch: codeorangeofficialCode Orange livestreamed a full concert for free on Twitch after their album release show was called off due to ongoing coronavirus concerns. Having released their new full-length album, ‘Underneath,’ on March 13, Code Orange was set to perform in front of a hometown crowd to celebrate. Due to the concerns around COVID-19, however, the show was scrapped at the last minute. Rather than canceling their plans entirely, the American hardcore band took to the stage in Pittsburgh regardless, and performed in an empty arena while thousands of fans tuned in from all around the world on Twitch. “This show was going to be a cathartic release of all the hard work that has been put in over our band’s long career,” a March 14 statement read as the band announced the cancellation of its show. Instead, they revealed plans to perform “in an empty venue” while live on Twitch. Taking to the global stage the next day, the hardcore band performed for just under an hour as more than 10,000 unique viewers tuned in. Rattling off heavy hitters from the new record, the performance was complemented by a high-budget production with multiple camera angles, special effect overlays to help set the tone, as well as all of the other lighting and visual effects you’d expect to see at a concert. Watch LAST ONES LEFT: Fear of the End // 3.14 9pm EST from codeorangeofficial on www.twitch.tv While the livestream turned an extreme negative into a positive and allowed fans around the world to experience their first show since going off the road to create ‘Underneath,’ the artists have all been hit hard by the coronavirus outbreak. “At the end of the day, we’re fu****,” lead vocalist Jami Morgan outlined in an interview with popular YouTuber Anthony Fantano. “We’re trying to figure stuff out. We have what I would call a ‘little bit of a solution’ that I think will be pretty cool. But yeah, it’s been hell.” Depending largely on ticket sales and merchandise revenue, not being able to tour and promote the latest record would be a huge hit for any band, though it seems Code Orange has a backup plan in place. Perhaps more shows will be streamed on Twitch soon in order for fans to show their support. You can listen to the brand new Code Orange album in full through your streaming platform of choice, and buy merchandise to support the artists too. Code Orange aren’t the only musicians to take to the internet in the wake of the coronavirus. British music label, Defected Records, also recently announced an entire ‘virtual’ festival that will be taking place on March 20 to make up for a lack of live shows while people around the world go into quarantine.

Merryweather brought webcomics back to life, then VTubing came along – Dexerto
Merryweather brought webcomics back to life, then VTubing came along Supplied: MerryweatherLucius Merryweather has worn many hats. He’s an author, webcomic creator, and now a VTuber. However everywhere he’s gone, he’s left a legacy of innovation in his wake, reviving and revitalizing online storytelling forever. If you’re on the ‘anime side’ of Twitter, Merryweather will be a name you’re probably familiar with. You might not follow him, but his comics are quoted by many on a daily basis. He probably get retweeted onto your feed, with each new drop cresting tens of thousands of likes. The biggest hits in the hundreds of thousands. His personal Twitter account, focusing on his VTubing more nowadays, has a following nearing 400,000. His brand account, Merryweather Media (in his name but certainly not solely his own), has more than a million. Iconic characters like Nintendo Switch-chan — an anime personification of the console — still deck the halls of conventions across the world. That’s years on from her debut as just a ‘meme character’ in his broader creative universe. But the truth is Merry can’t draw. He isn’t the artist, but the writer (and in many cases the mind behind the short 4-koma, or four-panel, style comics his studio produces). That doesn’t make his spirit any less creative. In fact, it made him more industrious with how he got into internet fandom, and then stardom, in the first place. When we spoke, he was walking around his hometown in Denmark. He was visiting for a couple of weeks while he awaited his visa to return to work in Japan. Nature was rustling in the background as he regaled stories of every aspect of his life. From the first words he said on that two-hour call it was evident he was born to be a storyteller. The biggest challenge was getting started in the first place. “Denmark is a small country, there were only a few thousand visitors to these annual conventions, but it was the first time for me to really get into and experience anime in this way,” he told Dexerto, recounting his first con experience back when he was 14. “What I saw when I entered this anime convention was spectacular. There were a large number of people who liked exactly what I liked, who cosplayed characters I knew from anime, and there were events based on things I knew about. It was the first time I really related and felt a part of something in a larger way. “I was standing there and I was feeling a part of it but I didn’t know what to contribute. I’m not a cosplayer, I’m not an artist, I’m not making anything. I’m not a gamer. “I thought to myself ‘if I’m to be here, I need to make some effort to be part of this environment.’ It’s a magical experience and I want to be part of it. I thought, what can I do? I can write.” Writing is one thing, but people don’t go to anime conventions to read light novels. In fact, light novels have fallen by the wayside in media since peak popularity in the late 2000s and early 2010s. He didn’t have any money. Merry’s parents paid for his bus ride there and back, and enough to get into the convention. That alone was a big ask. He didn’t even know what a commission was at that time to get some art and bring his stories to life. But that didn’t stop him from trying, walking around the artist alley and asking anyone from the 11 tables there to draw his ideas. “I went up and asked [the first person] ‘can you draw my manga? I’ve written a story.’ She said ‘no, why would I do that,’” he scoffed. “She started explaining how she’s been to Japan, pitched to Shonen Jump — she started telling me about her career, basically to say ‘hey little teenage boy, f**k off.’ “I then took one step to the left and asked the guy next to her. His name was Joakim Waller and he is also a Swedish manga illustrator, part of the same studio. “It was a bit silly in hindsight, but he was too polite and perhaps too shy to say no. “His response was ‘maybe someday.’ That was good enough for me.” It wasn’t a perfect plan, but it set the wheels in motion for Merry. The rise of webcomics online Merry didn’t realize it at the time, but he was trying to break out into the webcomics scene. Webcomics were massive in the days of the early internet. XKCD, Cyanide and Happiness, Ctrl+Alt+Del and many others had taken forums by storm, and set the bar for early meme culture. It wasn’t seen as a serious pursuit though. At the time, artists like Waller were trying to get that lucrative manga publishing deal. Even if they weren’t Japanese, there was still a growing demand for print manga. Webcomics, the “newspaper-style comics on the internet”, was in a lull of popularity. Merry tried for months to get Waller on side though, pestering him with scripts. After nearly a year it paid off. He got Joakim onboard for a print deal in a Danish manga magazine called Comic Party. They were paying around $200 a chapter, or around 50 pages of work. The two got to work and had a polished story ready for release. Then, the volume before they were expected to publish, the magazine was liquidated. They ran out of money, and the work they did went down the drain – almost. Merry turned to a website called mangamagazine.net. Waller was burned out by the entire process and swore to never return to webcomics, but agreed to publish the work because there was nothing else to do with it. He uploaded it, bit by bit, garnering a small following in the process. When the content ran out, he had to find other ways to keep publishing. “I would be able to save up enough money from my allowance to find a way to order a comic,” he laughed. “I remember my mom was very upset at me because she thought I was getting scammed. She saw on my account that I was sending money to various artists… she didn’t know what I was getting out of it. “Most people, if their 16-year-old son was sending hundreds of dollars to foreign countries, you’d stop and think ‘what’s going on here?’ I tried my best to explain it to her, she kind of struggled to understand how much they cost and why I’d be spending money on that.” This was a strategy Merry followed for years. He had his stories like The Steam Dragon Express, Tale of a Time Wizard, Crimson Gain, Magical Police Girl. Every six months he’d order a batch of one-shots with his allowance and publish them slowly. But then he saw Lucky Star. The 4-koma format was all the rage. But beyond its punchiness, he saw it as a way to stretch out bang for his buck. This led to his first hit story called Magnolia Online, something he described as “Lucky Star meets Sword Art Online”. He created it with Filipino artist Power-J. “Everything you see me doing now — Internet Explorer-chan, Goth Girl and The Jock — it all stems from this one moment where I wanted to try and save money and get more frequent updates with Magnolia Online. “By switching to four-panel comics, it let me publish at an increased frequency, and it set the foundation for what I’d later consider the thing that made our studio popular.” From there it snowballed. Merry was able to earn a little bit of money through various deals with the 4-koma publishing. He also got a job as a telemarketer at a Danish phone company, and all of his disposable income went into making comics. He had earned enough that he moved to Japan on a working holiday visa for a short while, and it kept paying off. “Knowing I wasn’t going to earn as much money in Japan than Denmark, I prepared for it because I knew I wouldn’t afford making comics to that level, but I still wanted to continue. “We started up a Patreon for The Crawling City [with artist Paroro]. I just wanted $400 a month. If I could get $400, I could do 4 panels a week, continue the comic, pay the artist and that was it. “It ended up being $1200 a month which was great because I could make even more comics.” Evolving with the times Merry wasn’t the only person doing 4-koma manga like this to share on various platforms, but he was the one who proved it could be successful. It was a calculated decision, even if there was a bit of luck involved too. People had gone from reading manga on their desktops to mobile. But there was an inherent problem with that. “I don’t know if you’ve tried to read manga on your phone, but you need a very big phone for that to be a good experience. You need to zoom in on each panel, it’s not fun. “My comics were able to be read on phone, they fit perfectly because they were vertical. My vertical comics were able to be enjoyed in a way that a lot of my colleagues’ work weren’t.” While a lot of his contemporaries pushed forward with the full manga style, Merry’s more accessible and digestible stories took off. Apps like Webtoon elevated the medium further, and with it, the industry had to evolve. The 4-koma style, or the infinite-scrolling manhwa (Korean manga) style is now the gold standard for webcomics and most digital manga. But it wasn’t the formatting alone that made Merry a household name in the space. He found a way to keep up with his audience, tapping into meme culture with series like Internet Explorer-chan, a story illustrated by Princess Hinghoi which personified the clumsy web browser and its rivals. “When we posted Internet Explorer-Chan, something kind of changed. [It] blew up to an immense degree. The first chapter got over 10,000 retweets, which was crazy at the time.” “Internet Explorer-chan was meant to be a one-off, an experiment. But it became so popular that we could not resist making it a full series.” Meme comics became Merry’s schtick for a while. Stick Bug-chan and Moth-chan were two such characters following in the same vein of taking absurdist youth humor, personifying the concepts into anime girls, and making even more memes out of it. Simply, it was called ‘Meme Girls‘. The payoff in terms of engagement soon turned into the first bit of vitriol he faced online for his works, years into his career. The tides changed where the memes were too much and ended up dividing his audience. “I remember my surprise when I was reading the quote retweets of our comics where there was a lot of vitriol all of a sudden. I tried to tackle this in a few different ways, but it’s mostly gone away now. “They disappeared when we stopped focusing on memes and started on narrative comics again like Goth Girl and the Jock.” He also found creative ways to keep pushing his work, using some of the industry’s worst-kept secrets to boost his popularity (and notoriety). “I had this philosophy — which I still have today — is you should post everywhere you can. Even if it’s one person seeing it, that’s an extra real human who can become part of the community. “I was struggling to figure out where the piracy sites stole their comics from, but I found them and started posting them pretending they were Japanese comics, and all the piracy sites bots stole it. It gained us thousands of dedicated readers who still follow us to this day. “I’ve had some people discuss the ethics of that, and I thought about it a little bit, and I came to the conclusion I don’t see an issue with it. We didn’t condone piracy. “What I did back then was a good thing because it converted a lot of people who were reading pirated manga into reading Webtoon and official webcomics. There was a whole world of legal manga that didn’t have eight malware p*rn ads next to it that you could easily go and enjoy in convenience.” Setting up Merryweather Media All these successes, and no shortage of stories, led Merry to create his own studio. Using artists he had worked with for years, he started Merryweather Media. He would be the CEO and lead writer, hiring writers on salary — not just contracts — to keep creating the comics that made them all famous. “I have a lot of artists I work with and communicate with in their own unique ways. They’re very unique people, it’s a fun challenge, and we have a little family going on in the studio. We have about 12 full-time artists working with us, and they have their own quirks. I enjoy it a lot.” This brings us back to the aforementioned Joakim Waller. After going his own way to try and make print manga a career, he has returned to work alongside Merry, 10 years later, on projects such as VShojo Mythos. “He was still trying to make comics… but he never got paid very well for it because print manga doesn’t pay very well,” Merry explained. “I asked him what he was doing now, and he said he was working at a meat packing factory and getting paid pennies. “I said I’d double that and told him to come back to art full-time, do webcomics with me,” he said, getting incensed at rehashing the details. “His art is worth so much. It was a crime against humanity when I heard his story. He even got a back problem from working there. It was awful.” Merry is proud to pay his artists a salary. Gone are the days when he roamed Danish conventions and their artist alleys with not a penny to his name. He offers thousands of dollars a month, mostly to artists in South East Asia and other less-wealthy areas with nevertheless skilled creators, to draw his viral comics. He has secured some major brand deals. He has written stories for Discord and is one of Webtoon’s most successful creators. VTubers can’t get enough of his art, whether it be in the form of 4-koma manga or lore videos. It’s not a mega profitable enterprise, but merch and other forms of monetization are keeping it afloat. And while it’s hard to convince people to spend their $10 here instead of on a big-name subscription service, there’s a dedicated audience who do. “A lot of creative fields, they don’t traditionally pay super well. It’s hard to make money off these fields. “People have to realize when you’re in the entertainment business, you’re competing with massive corporate giants. A lot of people spend their money on going to the movies, Netflix subscriptions, and places where you get the most bang for your buck. “Being an artist who draws funny stuff or makes meme comics, asking for $10 a month is a big ask. There are people willing to pay for it and people who do, and it’s great there are those people who want to support artists. You can get a more unique experience. But we are definitely outgunned by big corporations, even in the anime field. “A $10 a month Crunchyroll subscription is going to get you access to as many 20-minute anime episodes as you’d want. If you’re reading a comic from our studio, you get 10 panels per episode — and while I think we provide a good quality thing, it’s definitely niche.” VTubing and finding a different audience The transition from webcomics to VTubing was a pretty natural one to Merry. While he hasn’t abandoned webcomics entirely — or even predominantly — the virtual content creation world has opened up previously unimaginable channels of expression. For once, he doesn’t really get misconstrued as the artist behind his work. What he can create on stream is similar to the stories he weaves through his writing. The imagination shines, just in a different way. There are many familiar faces in the medium too. Many of the voice actors Merry has worked with over the years to narrate some of his works, like Jonah Scott, are now VTubers. Creators like Lost Pause and AkiDearest, who were popular in the same circles as Merry, brought awareness to the medium. “It has been the same ecosystem that has evolved throughout the years,” he explained. “People have come and gone. “VTubing is a natural escalation I find. People are becoming anime characters — we’ve talked about them long enough, now we’re becoming them. “There’s Takahata101 who used to be in Dragonball Z Abridged and now he is a VTuber himself. A lot of these people, characters, they reoccur and it’s fun to see the evolution of everything. It makes me wonder what things will look like in 20-30 years if it’s going to continue.” He was an early viewer of Kizuna AI, and wanted to get on the train early to launch an English VTuber. But there were limited resources at the time. It wasn’t until Project Melody that he felt inspired to try again. “She was making headlines all over the place and caused the whole VTubing revival in the west,” he said. “She got pushed a lot in the mainstream media, and then a lot of other VTubers came out of the woodwork like Zentreya, Ironmouse, and stuff. The whole VShojo crew popped up around then.” He had an actor and everything lined up for the first VTuber project he tried before that fell apart. For this second time around, close friend Lumi was the catalyst for it all — except this time, he would become the streamer. “I remember she was like ‘we could try that.’ I needed a girl who had acting experience to be a VTuber, and then we were able to get it started. “Originally I was just Lumi’s mod, watching and giving advice behind the scenes, and then she was able to take over on her own, we switched over to Twitch, and then I also became a VTuber. “I was texting a Japanese artist and asked about getting an illustration for Lumi. They gave me the prices for their Live2D models, and so while they misunderstood me, I took it as an opportunity to get my own Live2D. That’s how I became Merry the Dog.” VTubing for Merry isn’t just a different way of streaming. It’s an entirely different form of content creation from webcomics. It serves a different purpose, and taps into an audience he previously couldn’t reach. “Our main problem as a studio is everything we do is hand drawn, stuff we have to produce. There’s no way for us to reasonably mass-produce content. VTubing, as long as you have the model ready and done, you can mass-produce content five hours a day. “It gives people a lot to chew into, and it builds a very strong community which we were never capable of doing with our comics — at least to that level. We’ve had people who are dedicated readers and fans, but it’s been a secondary thing. “We have people’s part-time attention [with comics]. With VTubing, there’s the potential of having their full-time attention, and that’s what I consider valuable.” Bringing storytelling into VTubing His storytelling ability isn’t just limited to the webcomic form. VTubers, with their plethora of own stories, invites Merry to put his own creative touch on his things. While lore’s place in VTubing is hotly disputed, for him it’s just “fun”. He and his studio have worked on major videos for the whole of VShojo, NIJISANJI’s XSOLEIL branch, and Hololive’s Mori Calliope. He’s currently republishing a webcomic series with NIJISANJI star Vox Akuma. Various indie talents have procured his services too, and fans can’t get enough. “It gives people an opportunity to see these characters they might have grown attached to in situations that would be difficult to put in a stream. “Something like VShojo Mythos is like you’ve got the actors, you watch their show, now watch a movie where they play their characters with a fully-fleshed narrative. Ironmouse in a stream, it would be very difficult to visit hell and engage with all the different characters and have full-scale battles. “I know some VTubers play around with the theatrical stuff, but you can’t do it fully-fleshed. Lore videos and stories based on VTubers bring the opportunity to do things like that, that you cannot do in a stream environment.” VShojo Mythos is probably the most expansive of the projects. It’s Marvel Cinematic Universe meets VTubing. Nearly every single member of the agency has received a video at some point in time. Some, like Ironmouse, have gotten multiple. “It started out being Nyanners and Ironmouse getting lore videos. They both requested me for them because Nyanners knew I did eldritch horror and Ironmouse had seen Mori Calliope do a short video series with us. “I got a message two weeks before her debut asking to do a lore video for her. That was hardly any time, so I was like all hands on deck, we’re going to do an 18-minute-long lore video. There was some apprehension at the beginning about taking the story too seriously, but I think everyone really liked the video.” Thanks to Mythos, Merry became a household name in the VTubing realm, and he felt like a Hollywood star. “It was very Hollywood vibes,” he laughed. “I got to go to Anime Expo, be behind the scenes during Kson’s reveal, me and Lumi. Overall I just enjoyed my experience with them. “I think a lot of the lore climaxed when Melody got her video, because that gave mainstage to a lot of different members. It was 30 minutes long, and it was a big deal. I lost money on that one. They gave me the same budget on each of them, but we often go above and beyond. “With a lot of the members leaving, it was a privilege to be their writer, and I think we managed to do something pretty great and unique, and it’s something people are going to remember forever.” Merry’s VTubing journey, much like his webcomics start, set the standard. Now lore videos are a frequent addition to any budding streamer’s debut. They might not have the same production quality as one of his own epics, but more are tapping into their own creativity and telling stories their own way. For him, he now enjoys a new way to express himself online. No longer is he the misunderstood author of some corny meme comics. People get to watch him play games, or hear his stories for hours — much like he did with me walking around aimlessly in Denmark. It keeps him on his toes, and keeps his mind fresh. “I don’t like only doing one thing at a time because it burns me out. That’s why I like doing multiple comics. “VTubing is the same. It’s an opportunity to do something that isn’t just writing comics and I value it greatly because of that. It gives an opportunity for people to get to know me, not just through what I write.” As our conversation wound down, I asked him how he had time for everything. Between being a CEO, an acclaimed writer, and streaming five hours a day, there’s not a lot of spare time. But his creativity keeps him going, it’s a machine that feeds itself. But after sharing his stories through this fantasy lens, and even dolling up online as a virtual character, VTubing has let him showcase a bit of his authentic self. “On the webcomic side, people have a lot of ideas on who I am. I remember there were people online who said ‘I thought he was a neckbeard.’ “I’m kind of a weird person though. I don’t fall under any particular stereotype. I’m from Denmark, my mum is a Turkish immigrant, my dad was a taxi driver. “Some people think I come from a really rich family and that’s how I was able to afford making a webcomic studio. No, not really. I’m just a weird European.”

Merriam-Webster officially adds slang like “rizz” & “simp” to dictionary – Dexerto
Merriam-Webster officially adds slang like “rizz” & “simp” to dictionary Merriam-Webster / Unsplash.com: Joshua Hoehne, YouTube: Kai CenatMerriam-Webster has officially added popular slang terms like “rizz,” “simp,” and more to its dictionary…and netizens don’t know how to feel. The internet is responsible for a ton of popular slang — some of which we’ve covered right here on Dexerto. For instance, the word ‘rizz’ took off in part thanks to Twitch star Kai Cenat as another word for ‘charm’ or ‘flirtation.’ The term has absolutely exploded in popularity, even spawning spin-offs like ‘unspoken rizz’ and creating a viral meme involving young influencer Baby Gronk. Now, the Merriam-Webster Dictionary has added the word ‘rizz,’ alongside 690 other slang terms, to its ranks as official words. “Rizz,” “Simp,” “GOATED” & more officially added to dictionary On September 27, Merriam-Webster updated its lexicon with a slew of new words, including some slang like ‘jorts,’ ‘thirst trap,’ ‘beast mode,’ and even ‘GOATED.’ A short list of some of the more surprising words added to the dictionary are as follows: Doggo: dog – Simp: to show excessive devotion to or longing for someone or something – Bussin’: extremely good : excellent; especially : delicious, tasty – Mid: neither very good nor very bad : so-so, meh – NGL: not gonna lie – TFW: that face when — used especially on social media or in text messages to introduce a relatable scenario or an image that evokes a specific feeling – Bingo Card: a list of possible, expected, or likely scenarios — usually used in the phrase on one’s bingo card – Cromulent: acceptable, satisfactory – Netizens were left somewhat shocked but mostly pleasantly surprised by Merriam-Webster’s ‘cromulent’ addition of these words, leading to some hilarious reactions on social media. “I really love bussin’. The kids give me new life with their amazing, creative use of words, but that one is especially positive and creative,” one user wrote on X/Twitter. “My tween daughter is super stoked about ngl,” another said. Meowko demands ban for Kick streamer Johnny Somali for harassing her in Japan – Dexerto
Meowko demands ban for Kick streamer Johnny Somali for harassing her in Japan Kick/johnnysomali/Twitch/meowkoTwitch star Meowko was left wanting controversial Kick streamer Johnny Somali banned after he started harassing her during a live broadcast. Johnny Somali has become one of the most infamous IRL content creators on the internet, frequently harassing locals in Japan and getting attacked by them for his actions. Somali even ended up being hit with a 72-hour ban on Kick following several instances of racist behavior in Tokyo, but it doesn’t seem like the streamer has learned his lesson. In early September, Meowko was streaming on Twitch when she ran into Johnny Somali and the situation became quite uncomfortable very quickly. Meowko breaks down after Twitch harassment by Johnny Somali During a broadcast, Somali, who is permanently banned on Twitch, kept going on about how he’s the “most famous” in Japan, much to the shock of Meowko. “I’m on Kick. We don’t like Twitch streamers,” he said, causing her to walk off. “Bye-bye. Get banned b*tch. Get banned! You better not show me on your stream, you’ll get banned.” A few moments later, Meowko was in tears following the incident after getting dropped off by a kind taxi driver. Twitch’s rules prohibit streamers from having banned creators on their broadcasts, something that Meowko knew well and she definitely didn’t want to be banned again as she explained the situation on X/Twitter. “I was able to avoid the ban because I responded quickly with the Twitch staff,” she said, suggesting she had been in contact with the site about the incident. “I cried because the taxi driver on the way home was such a nice guy. I hope this person leaves Japan soon. I felt helpless because I couldn’t do anything even though I was right in front of my eyes.” Meowko further added that she’s not sure why Johnny Somali isn’t banned from more websites given the constant controversy he causes. “Seriously tho I have no idea how those kind of creator is still having place to say something on internet like this,” she added. Shortly after the incident, Somali got his comeuppance yet again after harassing even more people on the street, leading to a man finally having enough and punching him in the face. Only time will tell if Kick decides to ban the streamer yet again as more and more people get increasingly annoyed with his antics.

Meowko slams Twitch after receiving fourth ban Instagram: meowkololTwitch variety streamer Meowko slammed Twitch after copping her fourth ban from the platform. Meowko is one of Twitch’s most popular variety streamers on the platform, often seen going live in the Just Chatting category. But, despite her continual growth, she has now received multiple brief bans from the platform that have kept her away from streaming a consistent schedule to her nearly 300k followers. On October 19, the Japanese broadcaster received her fourth ban from the site and hit out at Twitch for the decision which she deemed unfair. Meowko blasts Twitch over fourth channel ban Meowko revealed after the October 19 ban become public that it would only last for 24 hours. However, her frustration with Twitch’s ban stoked her to slam the company on social media. She called the ban “not a big deal” but also pointed out that there’s “zero reason” why she was suspended. “I know that it seems like Twitch and their community don‘t like me at all but I can’t change anything about it so I’m just going to stay strong.” The streamer also revealed that she did formally appeal the ban. She concluded her message by adding, “be right back.” In a tweet sent moments before this one, she agreed with a follower who said she was banned for “looking too good.” According to StreamerBans, the October ban was Meowko’s first since August 23, when she was banned for one day. Although the ban is just for one day, the continual brief punishments from Twitch have clearly left her frustrated.

Meowko claims she was banned from Twitch yet again over strange bio mishap – Dexerto
Meowko claims she was banned from Twitch yet again over strange bio mishap Twitter/meowkololTwitch streamer ‘Meowko’ has been banned from the platform over for she has claimed is an extremely strange reason. Variety streamer Meowko is one of the most popular on Twitch, sporting over 350,000 followers who tune in for her Just Chatting and other broadcasts. Despite having a strong following, it hasn’t always been a joy streaming for the Japanese broadcaster, as she’s been banned multiple times over the years. Now, on May 30, she was hit with yet another ban for a reason that she doesn’t quite understand at all, leaving viewers stunned. Meowko reveals bizarre reason for fifth Twitch ban Shortly after being banned on Twitch, Meowko hit up social media to announce that she was suspended for three days. According to a message from Twitch, the violation occurred “in her channel profile,” but this doesn’t make very much sense to her at all for one key reason. See you all in 3days, this weekend will be fun🧡 pic.twitter.com/TwE0rLjE6I — Meowko (@meowkolol) May 30, 2023 “My profile bio which I haven’t changed for 3 years was against TOS apparently,” she said. The fact that her profile had no issues for such a long time, even amidst numerous other bans, is certainly quite odd. In any case, it doesn’t seem like she cares that much about the three-day suspension. “Anyways, I was not gonna be streaming for the next few days due to traveling to South Korea,” she added, indicating that this won’t inconvenience her in the slightest. It’s definitely possible that this was a mistake by Twitch and she will end up being unbanned before the three days are up, but this is certainly one of the oddest ban reasons we’ve seen so far this year. Previously, we’ve seen streamers’ “innocent” emotes get banned, and Forsen had to deal with a week-long suspension after tuning into “dubious” AI VTuber content.

Men save security guard from attack as riverboat ride becomes chaotic brawl – Dexerto
Men save security guard from attack as riverboat ride becomes chaotic brawl TikTok/TwitterA group of men had to swim their way into combat to help a security guard in a 4-on-1 fight after he was jumped when a riverboat ride became violent. It’s not often that you see strangers intervene when there’s a wild brawl happening, but that’s precisely what happened in Alabama when four white men began to beat up a black security guard. According to TMZ, on Saturday August 5 at Riverfront Park, locals complained that a riverboat could not pull in because a smaller boat blocked the space. When a security guard tried to rectify the situation, all hell broke loose. In a video uploaded documenting the events, once the guard tried to get the people to move, he was jumped, but luckily for him, others decided to swim over and provided some much-needed backup. Riverboat ride becomes massive brawl after men attack security guard Slowly, but surely, reinforcements came to the guard’s aid and evened the numbers, leading the original attackers to retreat. This time, staffers from the riverboat apparently saw what went down and decided to get involved, taking the fight to the men’s own turf, throwing one off the boat and firing punches at his face. The scene became bedlam with over ten people getting involved, men being tossed into the water and the men who started the fight by attacking the security guard now severely outnumbered. At one point, the melee even turned into a WWE match as one of the men got hit in the head with a folded-up chair. In the end, the police showed up and started handcuffing some of the individuals. However, Montgomery’s mayor, Steven Reed has promised there will be consequences for those who began the fight. “The Montgomery Police Department acted swiftly to detain several reckless individuals for attacking a man who was doing his job,” he said. “Warrants are being signed and justice will be served.” As crazy as this brawl was, this is hardly the first time that a security guard has gotten physical with a group. In another instance, a security guard dubbed a “real-life Terminator” took on multiple people at once and decisively won.

Meme YouTuber claims he lost channel after DMCAs from Nikocado Avocado – Dexerto
Meme YouTuber claims he lost channel after DMCAs from Nikocado Avocado YouTube: More NikocadoPopular meme YouTuber ‘KraccBacc’ claims that he lost his channel due to DMCA claims from fellow creator Nikocado Avocado after making edits of him in a few videos. Although YouTube is populated with a slew of prominent meme accounts, KraccBacc was one of the more popular meme-making channels, boasting around one million subscribers until his profile was suddenly taken offline in mid-January. The creator took to Twitter to explain the situation, saying that he was hit with several DMCA notices — claims sent from a company or creator asking YouTube to take down a video due to copyright infringement. According to YouTube’s guidelines, if a channel receives three copyright strikes, one’s “account, along with any associated channels, is subject to termination, all the videos uploaded to your account will be removed, and you can’t create new channels.” YouTuber claims Nikocado Avocado behind channel deletion KraccBacc alleges that the person behind the strikes was YouTuber Nikocado Avocado, who is known across social media for his mukbang videos, where he eats large quantities of food. Notably, the YouTuber created a mobile game making fun of Nikocado called ‘Nikocado Bulk,’ where players control a character meant to resemble Nikocado Avocado. The aim of the game is to dodge obstacles and eat as many bags of Taki’s and energy drinks as possible per level. KraccBacc cited the game as a possible reason for his channel’s deletion and warned other creators to avoid making content about him in their videos, as he also made several edits of him that could be reason for the possible DMCA notices. “If you are a YouTube channel, especially a meme channel that isn’t ‘oompaville’ making content about Nikocado, [I] highly recommend you stop,” he wrote in a January 3 tweet. “Your channel is at risk.” According to KraccBacc, Nikocado allegedly struck two of his videos over “privacy concerns,” and shared another screenshot from his account showing the uploads that had been taken down as a result. The creator also published a statement regarding the ongoing situation, saying that YouTube was taking “a bit longer than a week” to sort out the dispute. “The channel may or may not come back, and that is my lesson,” they wrote. “Either way, I hope to use what I learned about the algorithm if I were to make a completely new channel, since I love making videos.” Luckily, YouTube appears to have been actively communicating with KraccBacc as recently as Janaury 12, with the official Team YouTube Twitter account reaching out to him in a public response saying: “I know our Creator Support team is in-touch with you and working hard regarding this.” For now, the fate of KraccBacc’s channel is up in the air as the meme creator continues to work with YouTube amid these latest copyright strikes. Nikocado has yet to publish a formal response to KraccBacc’s channel deletion – but we’ll keep you updated on the situation right here at Dexerto.

Men cheating with Instagram bots spark debate on relationship etiquette – Dexerto
Men cheating with Instagram bots spark debate on relationship etiquette Unsplash: julien TromeurThere’s been a spike in men sexting AI bots on Instagram behind their partners’ backs, sparking a debate on what constitutes cheating. A healthy and balanced relationship comes with respecting one another’s boundaries. This allows both parties to understand the expectations and responsibilities in the relationship, hopefully avoiding heartbreak at the end. One highly debated and common boundary surrounds the consumption of adult content as some feel it comes under cheating, whether obtained ethically or not. While others see no issue, for those against the practice there might just be one more boundary to put in place for your next relationship — sexting AI Instagram bots. TikTok user Daphne, who goes by ‘daphodilhoe’ on the platform, shared her own story of catching an ex sending cheeky messages behind her back to a bot. “He wants to show me this meme so he pulls up his Instagram… as he’s scrolling in his DMs I see something that says ‘hey, winky face, here’s the link,” she explained. While her former boyfriend tried to blow off the message as just a “football thing”, she quickly found out he had in fact reached out to the bot first by replying to one of its Instagram stories. “Just disgusting that boys fall for that bait at all,” Daphne said. “How stupid are you?” While viewers were torn over whether or not messaging an Instagram bot constitutes cheating, Daphne was clear on her boundaries when it came to the matter; “It’s cheating; you had the intent to talk to another girl in a provocative kind of way.” In support of her stance, one person wrote, “If you consider it cheating, it’s cheating, [especially] if he knows how you feel about exclusivity in the relationship.” Check out all the latest entertainment news on our page here.

Meghan Rienks hits out at YouTube after channel is hacked by rogue brand – Dexerto
Meghan Rienks hits out at YouTube after channel is hacked by rogue brand Meghan Rienks, YouTube / Freepik.comSocial media star Meghan Rienks is calling out YouTube after her secondary channel was hacked by a rogue beauty brand — and the issue remains unsolved despite multiple attempts at restoring it over the course of months. Rienks uploaded a video on the subject on March 2, where she gave fans an in-depth explanation for the sudden disappearance of her main YouTube channel back in fall 2019. According to the YouTube star, a hacker had tried to gain access to multiple social media accounts, including her YouTube channels, Twitter, and SnapChat profiles. While Rienks changed her passwords and thought everything was resolved, this was not the case, as she later found that her main channel was showing as “removed,” and was hidden from viewers trying to look up her videos. That’s not all: her second vlog channel was completely taken over by a rogue beauty brand months later, who replaced all of her content with beauty compilation videos that she described as “ripped from Instagram” accounts. However, this wasn’t the most frustrating part of the ordeal — Rienks tried multiple times to contact YouTube in an effort to restore both her channels, leading to typo’d emails and even notifications her contact had “gone on holiday,” as well as confusing responses that seemed to have been composed by bots. The rogue videos on her hacked channel were also accompanied by comments from bot accounts, and her email account associated with the vlog channel had been deleted, adding an even more disturbing layer to the already frightening case of Rienks’ YouTube drama. She likewise claimed to have come across forums where her account was sold by hackers for a mere $500 price point, which has since resulted in the loss of thousands of subscribers. Needless to say, the content creator was left baffled beyond belief, with her situation catching the eyes of fellow YouTubers like Shane Dawson, who brought awareness to the issue with his viral retweet on February 23. Hey @YouTube @ytcreators @TeamYouTube this is really scary. Help? https://t.co/rgJpQXOZhR — Shane Dawson (@shanedawson) February 23, 2020 Finally, YouTube agreed to hop on a phone call with Rienks after her forty-five minute long video explaining the debacle caught fire — and, according to her Tweet on the subject, did not go well. update: it wasn’t great https://t.co/j1Edk2sClX pic.twitter.com/NYUZ4FF5kH — Meghan Rienks (@meghanrienks) March 5, 2020 For now, it looks like both Rienks and her fans are left in the dark as the YouTuber continues her efforts to recover a massively subscribed channel she once owned.

However, the internet has thoughts and called her out for posting a GoFundMe page, after not donating money herself. Social media users took to Reddit and other platforms to express their displeasure at realizing that Fox was not among the list of contributors for the donation campaign. A person tweeted: “As if she isn’t rich as f— and could help their friend immediately.” But these critics finally received a response from the actress as she posted an Instagram story addressing all the backlash. What was Megan’s response to critics? “Hey weirdos,” she wrote. “Do any of you have the emotional intelligence to consider that maybe she doesn’t want her celebrity clients donating large sums of money to her because it creates a dynamic in her working relationships that makes her uncomfortable?” Megan added that she was asked by Brittney to make a GoFundMe page for “Michael’s medical expenses” which would help him out as he is fighting a pancreatic cancer diagnosis. She urged her fans to help Boyce out. “Many people can donate small amounts of money to help them reach their goal while clarifying that anything that Boyce needs from her she will provide for it privately,” she said. Fox continued: “One thing you are not accusing me of is being miserly or lacking generosity.” She concluded her statement by saying the “bunch of psychos” should try something tomorrow if they can. This isn’t the first time the actress has addressed criticism for an Instagram post, as last time she clarified a dress that she was wearing wasn’t her skin but a part of the dress. At the time, she wrote: “Before you start angrily typing — those are not my nipples, calm down.” So, she’s hardly one to back down.

Megan Fox removes MGK from her Instagram, quotes Beyoncé lyrics about cheating – Dexerto
Megan Fox removes MGK from her Instagram, quotes Beyoncé lyrics about cheating INSTAGRAM: meganfox / machinegunkellyMegan Fox has sparked breakup rumours after deleting Instagram photos with Machine Gun Kelly, and quoting a Beyoncé song about cheating. The actress hinted she’s split from her fiancé, when she removed all traces of him from Instagram, and uploaded a post with a cryptic caption. “You can taste the dishonesty/ it’s all over your breath,” Megan wrote in the caption, quoting the lyrics from Beyoncé’s track ‘Pray You Catch Me’ about her husband Jay-Z’s affair. The post included photos of herself posing in a skimpy black outfit, while joined by a male pal. There is also a video of an envelope being burned in a fire pit. Moreover, fans noticed that Megan unfollowed Machine Gun Kelly, and she’s now following Eminem, who’s publicly feuded with the musician for years. MGK, however, still has photos of the actress on his Instagram page. In the comment section, fans speculated that Megan removing all photos of the musician from her Instagram profile is a sign that the couple may have split. “Letter burning in a cauldron, it’s a wrap for you baby,” one wrote. “Sending love. Going through a break up is already hard, I’m sure it’s 10 times harder doing it in the public eye,” another added. Others thought the ‘Emo Girl’ rapper might have cheated on her, due to the cryptic caption. “If he cheated he is CANCELED. How could you possibly even fathom doing this to her?!” one commented. “Bro she just followed Eminem. This is war some sh*t went down,” another shared. “Lyrics off the Lemonade album after she found out about Jay-Z cheating I’m SCREAMING,” a third wrote. The pair were last seen together at Drake’s Super Bowl party, just hours before the actress’ shock post. Thus far, neither Megan or MGK have responded to the speculations.

Meet the finalists for GAME’s Next UK Gaming Influencer – Dexerto
Meet the finalists for GAME’s Next UK Gaming Influencer DexertoWith contestants narrowing down for the chance at becoming a salaried streamer (and other prizes like an Xbox Series X), we’ve interviewed the finalists for GAME’s Next UK Gaming Influencer. GAME want to bring an up-and-coming gaming influencer into their organization and have decided to do so by holding a wide-ranging contest involving media opportunities and chances to showcase their personality. Ever-helpful, Two Angry Gamers are along for the ride as contest judges. To get a better sense of how each of the final five approaches gaming content and the contest, we’ve asked each a set of questions. While they all love gaming and content creation, they have their unique differences as well. In no particular order, here are the contestants rounding out the final five: 1) Elliott, or DxGtv, who is a self-proclaimed “daddy by day, gamer by night”; 2) Caster, streamer and soundboard-lover Matt Heyhoe; 3) Reece Spice, variety streamer and host of Memory Card Full; 4) Jamie Depledge, of Best Nerd Life, who is committed to the nerdiest content in gaming, tech and events; and, finally, 5) Tazziii, a content creator, host and major socks aficionado. The five finalists: DxGtv A self-professed “daddy by day, gamer by night,” DxGtv is all about impassioned gaming and proving that older gamers can still click heads, have fun and engage with their communities. The influencer space in gaming is so competitive, what makes content stand out, and how do you manage to engage with an audience and keep them hooked? [DxGtv] “Content needs to be connecting; audiences need to feel that they are part of it, in the room with you, on your journey, your quest! My key focus is to envelop the audience into my world, what I am doing. It’s real-time interaction and that’s what I love. Think of it like a DxGtv home for all of my followers, a safe place, a bit of escapism where you are part of the DxGtv family. It’s all about throwing myself into it, anyone that follows me can see the passion I have for gaming and entertainment. Think of the Greatest Showman…..but for gaming. We are all there for the same reason, the love of the game and sense of community. They stay because they like what they see and how I do it. The entertainer, friend and dad of the DxGtv family!” Where do you see yourself in five years with your plans as a content creator? [DxGtv] “Other than GAME’s next gaming influencer winner? Ha. I would love to have hit over 1,000,000 subscribers and have a thriving streaming channel all built around positivity in gaming and a community that stands together. On top of this, I would like to build a second channel that’s based on video uploads. But, lastly, I have a dream to own a physical space, a gaming centre where gamers of all ages could visit to enjoy a mini LAN experience, competitively playing against their friends or local kids. Working on projects in London that would help get underprivileged kids out of trouble and into a community that cares for them. Using my skills to actually help others achieve more with their lives would be my “die happy” success moment.” What content creators do you take the most inspiration from, or aspire to be as successful as? [DxGtv] “I have 3 inspirations: Nick Eh 30, NICKMERCS and SypherPK — I look to take the best attributes of all three and apply that to my channel. Nick, I see the positivity in gaming and how it can help shape lives of those we meet and engage with through our passion. NICKMERCS is honest about his personality and his feelings. Finally, SypherPK is incredibly intelligent. Like me, he isn’t the youngest of players and instead he aims to be the smartest.” You’re in the final 5 – but if you win, how would the boost from Xbox and GAME help elevate your content? [DxGtv] “Not only would it be super awesome, it would also allow me to retire and live on a desert island…Only kidding! It would be huge. It would show anyone what you can do if you love what you do and are passionate about it. I’m not the youngest gamer in the world, granted, but what a super awesome message for everyone to keep doing what you love!” Matt Heyhoe A caster, streamer and overall gaming aficionado, Matt Heyhoe brings a dynamic love to his stream and his community — capitalizing on unique sound effects for his Twitch channel. The influencer space in gaming is so competitive, what makes content stand out, and how do you manage to engage with an audience and keep them hooked? [Heyhoe] “For content to stand out, I think you really have to create some sort of ‘unique selling point’ that can separate you from the many others. As an example, when I am creating live content on Twitch, I often use voice changers/sound boards to add a little extra drama, tension or comedy to whatever has just happened! It might not be anything huge, but not many people use it (yet!). You also have to be invested in the content yourself. I love playing football and watching sports, so I create a lot of sports content, as I feel that I am more enthusiastic about the things I love and that transfers into much higher quality and entertaining content for the audience!” Where do you see yourself in five years with your plans as a content creator? [Heyhoe] “In five years I hope to still be creating live content and expanding into more pre-recorded YouTube content, whilst still doing commentary/casting/hosting work with various companies, hopefully seeing more of the world if the opportunities arise!” What content creators do you take the most inspiration from, or aspire to be as successful as? [Heyhoe] “I take inspiration from all kinds of content creators, because you can always learn new things by watching others. I have often picked up new tips and tricks (adding transitions, using terminology and even picking up some great one-liners) from watching others. I think every content creator has something different to offer, even under the same category, and you can always learn something new!” You’re in the final five – but if you win, how would the boost from Xbox and GAME help elevate your content? [Heyhoe] “I’m hugely grateful to have been selected for the final five and I’m really excited to see what content we all create and it will be great fun to work and compete alongside them in the coming weeks — If I was to win, I would be able to produce even more content and branch out into even more games/genres.” Reece Spice – Memory Card Full Host of Memory Card Full and a variety streamer, Reece Spice has his hands full in the gaming world and, whether it’s Valorant or an indie game, he’s always creating content. The influencer space in gaming is so competitive, what makes content stand out, and how do you manage to engage with an audience and keep them hooked? [Spice] “For me, it’s never been or felt like a competition. I started making content and streaming because it’s something I love and am passionate about. I just try to create a happy and safe space for people to come hang out, where I’ll be as interactive as possible with anyone and everyone who comes to watch and if they leave with a smile or I have made them laugh then I have done my job and they often come back for more.” Where do you see yourself in 5 years with your plans as a content creator? [Spice] “Well to be a full-time content creator would be the dream, and that could and I hope goes one of two ways: work within the gaming industry making video content for a bigger channel (and keep MCF going as a hobby channel just for me). Or, my channel blows up beyond belief and I can turn it into a publication and it is the place everyone comes for gaming news, reviews and, most of all, massive amounts of entertainment.” What content creators do you take the most inspiration from, or aspire to be as successful as? [Spice] “I take inspiration from so many places and people when it comes to creating content. I absolutely adore Outside Xbox, Outside Xtra, Eurogamer, Retrokrystal, Endija and Spaztac13, but my biggest inspirations are Ms. Danielle Booth and Mr. Shaine Hutchings. They keep pushing forward with me and are constantly growing. It’s been such a pleasure to start this streaming adventure with them and it’s only getting better.” You’re in the final five – but if you win, how would the boost from Xbox and GAME help elevate your content [Spice] “The boost from Xbox and GAME would be unbelievable and would allow me to spend even more time perfecting the craft of streaming and content creation, pushing me into my dream of being a full-time content creator. The sky would be the limit with both of these backing you. Jamie Depledge – Best Nerd Life Committed entirely to living a nerdy life to the fullest, Jamie Depledge creates gaming content weekly and is committed to bringing his design and animation skills to great content about games, tech and events. The influencer space in gaming is so competitive, what makes content stand out, and how do you manage to engage with an audience and keep them hooked? [Depledge] “To make good quality content, I think a big factor is whether or not the creator can assess what value their content has. You’ve got to balance between being your own biggest critic and actually having fun. I’m trying my best to balance those two things and create the best value for my viewer’s time as I can. They are nice enough to watch my videos, so the least I can do is keep them entertained.” Where do you see yourself in 5 years with your plans as a content creator? [Depledge] “In the short term, I want to visit more places and do some videos about that. There’s a few media/gaming museums that I’m planning on visiting, as well as some markets that I can’t wait to get back to. In a broader sense, I just want to create more content and build my gaming collection. I’ve enjoyed doing both of these things and I regret not starting sooner. I’ve had a lot of free time recently, as many of us have, and creating content has really helped with my mental health during lockdown.” What content creators do you take the most inspiration from, or aspire to be as successful as? [Depledge] “My favourite content creator is Clint Basinger, otherwise known as LGR. He has a fantastic mixture of videos on his channels that focus on a wide spectrum of topics related to the gaming industry. His stuff is both informative and fun, and he also seems like a pretty decent, down-to-earth guy. I also watch channels like Boundry Break, The Speedy Diver, NitroRad, Arlo, JablinskiGames, RetroRick, OutsideXbox & Outside Xtra, NintendoLife and NostalgiaNerd. And those are just the ones related to gaming. You gotta get inspiration from lots of different places, you know?” You’re in the final five – but if you win, how would the boost from Xbox and GAME help elevate your content? [Depledge] “Getting a boost from Xbox and GAME would be an amazing thing. For a long time, I’ve wanted to do a gaming marathon challenge to raise money for charity through something like GameBlast or Macmillan Game Heroes, for example. I recently did a fundraiser for Movember and that was really fun. I’m also a fan of indie projects so I like the idea of helping to support them, and potentially introducing them to a wider audience. Lastly, I would probably upgrade some of my equipment. Even if I don’t win the competition, being chosen as the final five is a big confidence booster, and it’s really motivating too.” Tazziii Tazziii is a content creator, esports host and socks aficionado. Driven by a love of gaming, she’s all about immersing in the community through any form of entertaining content. The influencer space in gaming is so competitive, what makes content stand out, and how do you manage to engage with an audience and keep them hooked? [Tazziii] “For me, content stands out when it’s genuine and brings someone’s own perspective or flare to it. I want to make content that people can keep coming back to by focusing on creating an environment that they enjoy being in. My content does best when it’s genuine, I guess I just work on myself a lot so that I can be in a good state of mind and then the ideas just flow.” Where do you see yourself in five years with your plans as a content creator? [Tazziii] “I’m not a planner, I’m a dreamer and my dreams are hard to explain as they are not set things, more like concepts. Content creation is part of a bigger picture, the bigger picture being my life, and honestly I don’t know exactly how it will fit in it in five years. All I know is gaming has been a part of my life since before I could walk and it’s going to continue, so naturally I’m always going to share content involving gaming. My Mum always tells me I find a way to involve gaming in everything.” What content creators do you take the most inspiration from, or aspire to be as successful as? [Tazziii] “I take little bits of inspiration from lots of different people, not just content creators. I get to interview loads of cool people on the podcast I co-host, Story x Story, I’m always inspired and thinking about how I can apply their lessons to my own path.” You’re in the final 5 – but if you win, how would the boost from Xbox and GAME help elevate your content [Tazziii] “Other than the obvious exposure and opportunities that it will bring, the biggest thing for me is the fact it gives me the opportunity to completely focus on making gaming content for three months. Plus, well if I win I get an Xbox Series X, honestly I’m already imagining opening it, it might sound weird but I can already smell that new console smell and am mentally planning an unboxing video.”

Meet the TikToker going viral for saying “Charli D’Amelio” 100,000 times – Dexerto
Meet the TikToker going viral for saying “Charli D’Amelio” 100,000 times Instagram: devincaherly, charlidamelioA TikToker has taken over the internet for saying the name of the platform’s most-followed content creator, Charli D’Amelio 100,000 times in a row — and he’s not the first one to lay claim to fame in this manner. TikTok star Devin Caherly has caught the eye of social media users around the globe after taking on a jaw-dropping challenge, which he announced in a video on November 29. Claiming that he would say the name of Charli D’Amelio — the site’s most popular creator with over 101 million followers — 100,00 times, his quest soon became a viral sensation, with his original announcement video garnering over 309,000 likes at the time of writing. Caherly kept track of his project by using an online counter, which he would press each time he said D’Amelio’s name. However, he didn’t ask fans to just take his word for it; he even live-streamed the entire ordeal, but it didn’t turn out as planned. Unfortunately for Caherly, as soon as he hit the 999,991 mark, his counter suddenly reset, leaving him completely devastated (although we have to admit, his failure made for a pretty funny TikTok). This isn’t his first experiment of this nature, either; Caherly has also said Charli D’Amelio’s name for every ten likes he’s gotten, as well as every ten comments within a 24-hour period. Caherly’s endeavors ring similar to those of massively popular YouTuber Jimmy ‘Mr Beast’ Donaldson, who has also said the names of social media stars like ‘PewDiePie’ and Logan Paul 100,000 times in the past. That’s not the only way in which Caherly is similar to Mr Beast; he’s also given out quite a bit of cash and gift cards for his 2.7 million fans — although we can’t say it’s the same as Mr Beast opening a free bank or tipping waitresses in legitimate gold bars. Either way, it seems that Caherly has opened up quite a career for himself, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds in store for this young creative.

Meet Prime Tracker’s founder: The story behind the viral app’s creation saved by KSI – Dexerto
Meet Prime Tracker’s founder: The story behind the viral app’s creation saved by KSI Instagram: drinkprime / Tom BastablePRIME Hydration is the #1 paid Shopping App in the App Store right now — but its current prosperity almost didn’t happen. We spoke with the app’s founder about the highs of achieving online success and the lows of facing deletion from one of his idols. Last year, YouTube stars KSI and Logan Paul famously ended their rivalry to create a joint project that took the internet by storm. Dubbed ‘PRIME Hydration,’ their sports beverage intended to replenish electrolytes without the need for tons of sugar or calories. Since its launch in early 2022, PRIME Hydration has released two new flavors, a series of flavor packets, and now even boasts a line of energy drinks that have already sold out online in the United States. However, getting your hands on a bottle of PRIME isn’t an easy task, even a year later. Supply issues and online resellers have been making problems for fans who just want to support their favorite creators, with some stores even outright banning the sale of PRIME to certain individuals due to the drink’s viral nature. Luckily, someone has come along to save the day. The PRIME Tracker app helps fans in the UK find out which stores have PRIME in stock in real-time — and although it’s a godsend for PRIME fiends now, it was in danger of deletion not too long ago. We spoke with PRIME Tracker founder Tom Bastable about his journey in creating the viral app, being recognized by KSI, and how he recovered after receiving a deletion notice in the midst of PRIME’s heyday not even a year ago. Why Tom Bastable created the PRIME Tracker app Tom Bastable claims he created PRIME as a direct response to ASDA’s “embarrassingly prehistoric stock system,” hoping to help fans of Logan Paul and KSI to get their hands on the drink in an easier, more straightforward way. “At first, ASDA were listing PRIME for sale via their online grocery system,” Bastable explained. “No one would end up getting these orders, because their stock system is too slow for PRIME’s demand, and the stock they said was in-stock wasn’t. I later found out it also relies on manual counts etc., too. It’s a joke, considering the world we live in and the incredible system Tesco have implemented. “ASDA then stopped the social media team from communicating delivery dates – and that was it. I had the idea for the tracker before things got to this point, I waited for a few weeks hoping someone else would make it – after no one did, I didn’t really have a choice, as the idea was one of those that kept screaming out to me.” Why is PRIME Hydration never in stores? Despite PRIME being a ‘prime’ product on the market right now, the beverage has experienced many issues with supply and demand, as many fans have complained about not being able to find it in stores or stock being sold out very quickly. Bastable has the inside scoop on why PRIME fans might not be able to find stock near them — and he says it’s likely due to fans buying, and then reselling the bev to turn a quick buck. “We have a lot of data which is becoming more accurate as we grow and more insiders come forward, so we have a good idea of what’s happening,” he began. “ASDA staff buying stock to resell is a problem. We know that a few specific stores receive good amounts of stock, but it never hits the shelves. We don’t know this because of KSI’s comment on the Fella’s podcast, we know this because of our numerous ASDA insiders that talk to us on our Discord, and the reports we see in the app. So this is a contributor, but I don’t think it’s the main reason we can’t buy it easily. “I believe the main reason we’re still tracking PRIME and not buying it with a meal deal every day are resellers. It’s like a new Crypto gold rush — if you spend £2, you’re almost guaranteed a 5x return. Who’s going to say no to that when the UK’s going through a cost of living crisis?” How does the PRIME Tracker app work? After relying on ASDA’s “inaccurate” stock app, Bastable has since turned to fans to help report when their local stores have PRIME in stock, using a system to verify their location, including photos, to get accurate info. “We implemented a crowd-sourced system that would rely on users reporting stock as they find it. Funnily enough, this didn’t work too well as the demographic PRIME has loves a bit of pi**-taking. 80% of reports were fake, it was a total mess,” he admitted. “[For version 3], we paid a team of freelancers to phone around every known store that would actually receive stock to find it. This is when accuracy started to improve, but costs also increased. “We still phone around to stores that we don’t get routine user reports for, but we’ve also updated the app to GPS-verify each user report and make submitting a photo of stock mandatory. This has made user reports a credible asset again and surprisingly accurate.” PRIME Tracker creator describes “emotional” app takedown notice While the app is a great success right now — with Bastable claiming it’s been in the Top 3 downloaded apps on the App Store since November — this wasn’t always the case. In fact, PRIME Tracker faced deletion in 2022, prompting him to put a hold on the app for some time. Bastable says he got a takedown notice back in August 2022, calling the whole ordeal “emotional.” “It was a single line, cold email that I received via LinkedIn after some hard months of working on the app and honing the verification processes,” he explained. “There was also a phone call that followed from another person. This now obviously wasn’t the case, considering he’s just featured the app in a video, but at the time that feeling of thinking that someone I’ve idolized for a decade wanted something I’d made taken down, or even that they were annoyed by it, really sucked – and is the reason I complied and temporarily stopped tracking PRIME.” That being said, after “several weeks of self-loathing,” Bastable started up a Discord channel and got back to it. He says that fans of the PRIME Tracker gave him the confidence to start again. “That was the first real interaction I had with the app users outside of occasional Twitter messages, and it made me realize how much these guys liked the app. After a month or two of 10k+ Discord users asking for the app to come back (big shoutout to our amazing Discord staff), we re-designed it slightly and re-released it. I was a little bit worried at first, as I was still convinced JJ hated what I’d made – but as soon as more and more users sent us their success photos on Twitter it made it all worth it.” KSI supports the PRIME Tracker app Luckily, Bastable didn’t have to worry about any negative feedback from KSI for long. Come 2023, Bastable’s app was praised by the YouTuber in a video, where he described it as a “good app to try and find some PRIME” amid the ongoing shortage. “Never did I expect JJ to pull out his phone and start using [the app]!” Bastable exclaimed. “And recommending it? And showing a demo of it? Just typing this out I’m getting hyped about it – it’s just the best feeling.” “I just can’t thank him enough. Seeing someone you’ve idolized for a decade show appreciation for something you’ve poured everything into is a once-in-a-lifetime thing.” What’s next for PRIME Tracker Right now, Bastable says that an Android version of the PRIME Tracker app is coming at the end of the week — so by January 16, Android users should be able to track PRIME near them. There’s also a V5 update to the app on the way, which will “improve accuracy and should hopefully include upcoming delivery dates so that users are informed of a store’s next delivery date.” According to Bastable, “They’ll even be able to sync it with their calendar.” That’s not all; the Tracker will also include the available stock for PRIME Energy as it releases in the coming months. But despite all these forthcoming changes, he’s still remaining “realistic” about the app’s future. “We’re not planning too much further ahead PRIME-wise as it stands, as we’re being fairly realistic in that we know we won’t be required once stock/demand stabilizes. I do think though that there’s the potential to build a platform from what we’ve made here, and it’s something we’re considering. Since JJ included us in his video, the platform’s exploded – so there’s definitely a lot of thought to be done with regards to my career and future potential as a tracking platform.”

Meet the drag queens on Twitch paving the way for LGBTQ+ streamers – Dexerto
Meet the drag queens on Twitch paving the way for LGBTQ+ streamers Cash Monet / Londyn Bradshaw / DeereWhen Londyn Bradshaw was asked to be a Twitch Partner during Pride Month, they made history on the popular streaming platform by becoming the first Black drag artist to receive this recognition. “I always said I wanted to help make a space for people of color on this platform,” they tell Dexerto. “It’s a relief, in a way, because it shows that Twitch trusts me to help create that space. I’m excited that we get to do that, and it’s cool to be seen.” Londyn is a member of Stream Queens, a growing team of drag artists who stream to audiences around the world on Twitch. Many of them play popular online games like Dead By Daylight or Mario Kart together, while others put on live performances or do transformations. Perhaps most importantly, the team welcomes everyone. While the popular TV show RuPaul’s Drag Race has brought drag to the mainstream, it has faced criticism for not being inclusive enough. But on Twitch, anyone can have a platform, from queens to kings and beyond. “I saw this potential for queer artists to thrive and be seen on Twitch,” Stream Queens founder Deere tells us. “Making drag and queer people accessible, and visible, has and will continue to help us find a sense of belonging by finding each other.” What started out as a small team has since grown to include almost a hundred diverse drag artists, each with their own talents and niche interests to share. One of these people is Cash Monet, who like many others began streaming on Twitch while in lockdown. “I never thought I would be the kind of person to host shows or introduce other performers, but Twitch really helped me be more interactive and broaden my audience immensely,” she says. “Sometimes this is the first time a viewer will see a drag artist or even a gay person!” While pursuing their passion and entertaining viewers may be the main appeal of streaming, Cash Monet has also used her platform to raise money for the charity Stop AAPI Hate. It’s one of the many ways drag artists are using Twitch for good. “From the beginning of doing drag, I knew I wanted to make sure that I was doing more than just being a performer,” she explains. “I might not have money to give since I’m living the artist lifestyle, but I do have time to give. Fundraising is something I can do without spending my own money.” It’s not all love and positivity, of course, as Twitch is known for having its fair share of trolls. The live nature of the streaming platform means anyone can tune in and spread negativity in the comments section, something Londyn Bradshaw has experienced firsthand. “I was on the front page for Pride this month, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many ways to say racial slurs. I was kind of shocked, to be honest,” Londyn tells us. “There are quite a lot of trolls in the world of Twitch – and then you get the Bible thumpers who say I’m going to hell.” “As a person of color, you deal with racism when you’re outside walking down the street,” they continue. “On Twitch, you have mods who are very kind and help delete those comments. If you’re putting yourself out there, you have to be aware that it won’t always be a positive response.” Deere has also faced the darker side of Twitch. When they got their own ‘PogChamp’ emote, they faced a barrage of homophobia. But just like Londyn, they’re willing to deal with any hate that comes their way if it means they can inspire others. “I will gladly take on trolls and become a target if it can normalize queer people in spaces not made for us,” explains Deere. “It’s all worth it in the end if it can become easier and easier for those being themselves after us!”

MeatCanyon receives surprise 3 day suspension on Twitch – Dexerto
MeatCanyon receives surprise 3 day suspension on Twitch MeatCanyon | YouTubeTwitch streamer and YouTube animator MeatCanyon has been suspended on Twitch for 3 days. The reason behind his ban has yet to be revealed. MeatCanyon has exploded in popularity over the past few years, with his animations about figures in the pop culture and YouTube space like, Nikocado Avocado, Dream, Elon Musk, and even the recent TikTok hearing getting their own satirical parody animations. He’s since gone from being purely an animator to more of a variety creator, using his art and storytelling skills to livestream on Twitch and create a second YouTube channel for videos he makes that aren’t focused solely on animation. However, MeatCanyon has been hit with a 3 day suspension. Though the reason has yet to be revealed, viewers that were watching as he got banned have their suspicions. MeatCanyon hit with surprise Twitch ban while streaming In some cases, Twitch streamers get banned from the platform due to something they did while they were offline, or a ruling on their content delivered directly by Twitch. While the latter may have been the case with MeatCanyon as well, he was banned while he was streaming. In a tweet discussing the ban, MeatCanyon didn’t give out the reason for his temporary removal from the platform. He might be looking to stream on YouTube for a bit until he gets access to his Twitch account back, but he still plans to return to Twitch following the ban. While MeatCanyon himself hasn’t revealed the reason for his Twitch ban, people who were watching at the time think it may have been because he was listening to copyrighted music on stream.

Media company instantly gets banned from Twitch after disaster stream – Dexerto
Media company instantly gets banned from Twitch after disaster stream LeLive/TwitchThe launch of French media company Webedia’s LeLive program didn’t go to plan, as the Twitch channel was plagued with problems before it found itself being banned after only a few hours. The LeLive launch kicked off on Monday, February 3 as Webedia looks to expand its online presence by adding to a brand-new Twitch program for younger viewers on their pre-existing YouTube, Dailymotion, Mixer, Molotov TV, Snapchat, TikTok, Twitter, and Facebook channels. The program is supposed to offer evening streaming – kicking off at 5PM CET and running through until midnight. Guests who have made their name from content creation, being an influencer, or just a general celebrity are getting involved. Yet, their arrival on Twitch is going to have to wait. During the launch stream on February 3, the stream was only a few minutes old when one of the presenters, Kevin Razy, walked onto the stream and struck up a conversation with some of his other hosts. However, when referencing “YouTube money” in their talk, Razy dropped a racial slur immediately after. While the full broadcast of the stream has since been deleted and isn’t available anyway, some viewers were able to quickly capture the clip and re-publish. In the aftermath, though, the channel has found itself banned – seemingly because it had been reported due to the use of a slur. (@Dr_Wasabii) February 3, 2020 With the channel being struck down by Twitch, some jokesters stepped in and took over the official name with demands of €5,000 to hand it back over. Even when they were online and broadcasting though, it wasn’t like LeLive had the smoothest of streams to begin with. Fans on Twitter and in Twitch chat complained about issues with sound delays and other glitches. The channel did manage to get them figured out just before they got banned, however. Fans will still be able to check it out on the likes of YouTube, Mixer, and Facebook, but whether or not they’ll be able to return to Twitch anytime soon still remains to be seen.

Gabby King, a McDonald’s worker who goes by the name flawlessfacesbygabby on TikTok, slammed customers who ask for things like fresh McNuggets and extra sauce, calling them “annoying.” After her video went viral, it sparked a debate in the comments with some users arguing that fast-food customers shouldn’t expect their orders to be made fresh. (Click here if TikTok doesn’t load) McDonald’s worker sparks debate over “annoying” customers Shortly after her video was uploaded, users flooded the comments with their thoughts about the situation. Some viewers argued that fast-food customers shouldn’t expect their food to be made fresh due to time constraints in the drive-thru, while former workers argued that it never bothered them to make something fresh if they were asked to. One user commented: “It literally never bothered me to make it fresh.” Another user replied: “Honestly it’s not rude or disrespectful you want to pay for fresh food, right? You don’t want old food do you?” “Asking if the food fresh in a fast food place is wild,” another user remarked. A former fast-food worker explained that they “hated” when people asked for fresh food: “No because why would they ask if it’s fresh? I hated when people told me to get their burgers fresh like I’m just a cashier I don’t make the food.” For more TikTok news and other viral stories, head over to our hub.

McDonald’s workers already fed up with viral Grimace Shake trend – Dexerto
McDonald’s workers already fed up with viral Grimace Shake trend TikTok/McDonaldsMcDonald’s workers are seemingly growing pretty tired of the Grimace Shake as TikTokers keep bombarding them with orders for the trend. Over the last week or so, TikTok has been obsessed with the Grimace Shake trend. If you’ve not seen it yet, it’s basically a trend full of videos where users buy a Grimace Milkshake from McDonald’s, drink it, and become incapacitated. The drink has returned as a limited-time offer alongside a meal to celebrate the character’s 52nd birthday, but its popularity has meant it has stuck around a little bit longer than perhaps anyone planned. Though, it seems like McDonald’s employees wouldn’t mind if it went away, as they appear to be growing a bit annoyed by customers ordering a whole host of Grimace Milkshakes. McDonald’s worker goes viral getting annoyed at Grimace Shake order TikToker thattiredchonker managed to capture this annoyance during a recent trip to the fast food restraunt, as he and friends wanted to order five Grimace Milkshakes separately from the meal. While the McDonalds worker accepted the order, there was a long period of silence that the TikTokers said spoke volumes. The TikTokers couldn’t contain themselves during that silence, bursting out into laughing while they waited for a response. “The silence was so loud,” read the on-screen caption on their video which has now been viewed more than 8 million times. “McDonalds tired of this.” Viewers quickly agreed with their caption, adding stories of their own interactions when trying to order the new Milkshake. “I ordered a grimace shake and the girl legit sighed in annoyance,” said one. “Ours pretended the ice cream maker was broke,” added another. “The guy at the pickup window was complaining about “another grimace shake” when we pulled up to get our food,” commented another. As noted, it is only around for a limited time so it won’t be long before the trend goes away. Though, TikTokers are still having fun with it.

McDonald’s worker slams customers who demand fresh fries – Dexerto
McDonald’s worker slams customers who demand fresh fries WIKIMEDIA: DINKUN CHENA McDonald’s worker expressed her frustration at customers demanding fresh fries from the establishment, causing some controversy on social media TikTok is a platform that’s full of hacks customers can utilize in fast food establishments to get cheaper deals. There are also many videos showing fans how to recreate popular food items. For example, fast food expert Jordan demonstrated how to make Aunty Anne’s Pretzel Bites for only five dollars. With the exponential price increase in these formerly cheap restaurants, it’s understandable that people would want to grab themselves a bargain. However, a McDonald’s worker has slammed customers who try to get “fresh fries,” every time. This comes from a popular TikTok hack, which encouraged customers to order their fries without the salt, prompting workers to make a fresh, unsalted batch. In the video’s, TikTok’s Grace states, “If you go to McDonald’s and ask for no salt on your fries just to get them fresh, and then ask for a handful of salt packets, you are the worst kind of customer. Just ask us to make them fresh.” It seems as though many McDonald’s advocates agree with Grace. In another TikTok video that gained 32,300 views on the very first day, Chef Mike, who regularly shares inside knowledge prompted: “Yes, this is a great strategy if you want fresh fries. However, the fries are usually regularly cooked, so they’re supposed to not be too old, but… you can just ask, ‘Hey, I’m willing to wait; can I have some fresh fries?’” Commenters weighed in on the “fresh fries” debate The viral video has since gone on to collect over 81,000 views, and has sparked some debate on the platform. One contended that ordering them without salt was beneficial, stating “Most places would just reheat them for a couple of seconds, if you ask without salt you make sure they really made them.” Another concurred, “You get paid to do what we say, if you don’t like it go work another job. Lazy.” Grace responded, saying “Lmao not enough. If you just want them fresh, tell us.” One commenter proclaimed, “I’m gonna start being the worst kind of customer now.” However, many were offended by the video for totally different reasons. One McDonad’s fan claimed, “I always ask for no salt because I don’t want the salt. Y’all put way too much salt on them.” Many were quick to agree, stating “I ask for no salt cus’ I don’t like salt.” Whether customers agree or not, the controversial video has clearly sparked a debate. Another TikTok star went vial in October, when she shared how to get cheap meals every time you visit McDonald’s.

McDonald’s worker sparks debate after sauce tip goes viral on TikTok – Dexerto
McDonald’s worker sparks debate after sauce tip goes viral on TikTok Unsplash: Jurij KendaA McDonald’s worker has taken to TikTok to share her complaints about how customers order sauces at the drive-thru, sparking an online debate. Since the 1930s, drive-thru’s have allowed customers to purchase their meals without having to ever leave the comfort of their cars. It’s a service that’s supposed to be quick and easy, making it understandably frustrating when something in an order is missing. Now, in an attempt to ensure their sauces are where they’re supposed to be, some McDonald’s customers have allegedly been choosing to order their condiments at the last window of the drive-thru. While this may seem like the perfect solution to a pesky problem, one McDonald’s employee has taken to TikTok to ask people to stop. Saffron, who goes by ‘saffronkatiie’ on TikTok, regularly posts content based on her experiences working at the fast-food restaurant. Documenting her journey of becoming “the most famous McDonald’s worker,” Saffron recently shared a “PSA” with her 77,800 followers on their sauce ordering habits. “PSA to all McDonald’s customers,” she wrote. “If you want sauce, ask for it when ordering your food, not at the last window!” Saffron’s goal may be to help customers behave more courteously, but viewers defended the method of ordering on the basis that it was the only way of ensuring their sauce wasn’t missing. “Nope. Too many times I’ve asked when I ordered only to realize it was never put in the bag. That’s why people ask at the window,” one viewer commented. Nonetheless, it doesn’t look like Saffron is planning to stop posting fast-food PSAs anytime soon. Her latest advice? Stop asking for salt at the window after ordering fries without salt in the hopes of getting a fresh batch. Only this time, Saffron has turned off the comments so it’s unknown how viewers reacted. McDonald’s worker goes viral ‘quitting’ over kitchen catastrophe – Dexerto
McDonald’s worker goes viral ‘quitting’ over kitchen catastrophe TikTok: jennaakiley/UnsplashA McDonald’s worker has gone viral on TikTok after she threatened to quit, again, after there was a “catastrophe” in the kitchen. TikTok may have started out life as a platform designed for creators and artists to show off their creative skills, but it has pretty much become the go-to social media platform for anyone who thinks they’ve got a viral video. Well, one of the most popular sub-genres of the short-form video app has been around fast food. We’ve seen customers lose their cool because their order was messed up, delivery drivers will flat out refuse to drop food off, and other mad moments. However, the most recent one to go viral involves TikToker Jennaaakiley, who threatened to quit her job as a McDonald’s chef “again” after there was a pretty big mess in the kitchen. McDonald’s chef ‘quits’ again after kitchen issue That’s right, Jenna has been going viral over the last few days, with her short video racking up over 1.5 million views at the time of writing. In the short clip, the McDonald’s worker says “This is why I’m quitting, I’m putting my two weeks in again” as there is a mix of ice, chocolate, and coffee splattered on the floor. Funnily, one of her co-workers quickly responds with “You can’t quit” as Jenna continues to show off the “never-ending catastrophe” of the kitchen. Naturally, some viewers found the whole thing rather hilarious. “Two weeks? I’m leaving in 2 minutes,” said one. “The “you can’t quit” woulda caused me to clock out right there,” added another. “See how she said “u can’t quit” all I heard was ‘I’ll pay u more for you to stay’ ask for a raise or you’re quitting,” another commented. Others picked up on the fact that Jenna said she was quitting “again” and the TikToker noted that the job has been “testing” her recently. However, it doesn’t seem like she’s actually quit just yet, given she’s made further videos.

McDonald’s worker rages at “entitled” customer and TikTok is lovin it – Dexerto
McDonald’s worker rages at “entitled” customer and TikTok is lovin it TikTok: GhettoGarageBuildssA video showing a McDonald’s manager raging at a customer who keeps asking for their drink to be remade has gone viral, and TikTok is loving her energy. Occasionally while browsing through TikTok, you’ll come across a video showing a random interaction that has gone extremely viral. The interactions can consist of anything from a “brutally honest” airport warning to an Airbnb host serving dog food. A video showing a McDonald’s manager yelling at a customer who keeps asking for their drink to be remade has gone viral on TikTok and viewers are lovin’ it. McDonald’s manager goes viral The interaction went viral thanks to a shorter clip posted by TikToker ‘ghettogaragebuildss,’ who people believe is the person getting yelled at. The McDonald’s manager shouted: “Obviously, we cannot satisfy you the first time and we’re done trying. So get out of my drive-thru.” (Click here if TikTok doesn’t load) Users quickly took to the comments to share their thoughts on the video. One user said: “I like her. She’s not Mchaving it anymore! Customers, stop being exhausting, it’s just fast food.” While another exclaimed: “I have a feeling she gives GREAT customer service and whoever was behind the camera is 100% in the wrong.” Ghettogaragebuilds posted a longer video of the full interaction to provide context about why he’s getting kicked out of the drive-thru. In the video, the worker shouted: “Because every single time we make your drink, it is wrong. And, you guys called my employee vulgar names.” (Click here if TikTok doesn’t load) As the shorter video went viral, more viewers took to the comments on the longer upload to share their thoughts. “People are so entitled” one user explained. While another tagged McDonald’s in hopes that the lady in the video will get a raise: “@McDonald’s we love this lady! Give her a raise and promotion. Customers don’t have the right to abuse employees.” It’s clear that viewers are all for the McDonald’s manager, and believe customers should treat service workers better because maybe if they did… incidents like this wouldn’t happen.

McDonald’s worker goes viral for singing to customers on late night shifts – Dexerto
McDonald’s worker goes viral for singing to customers on late night shifts Unsplash.com: Brett Jordan / TikTok: ukrichardwalkerA McDonald’s worker is taking TikTok by storm for his charming habit of singing to customers who come in to get their fast food fix after a night of partying. Ah, fast food — the perfect hangover cure or late-night pick-me-up after an evening out on the town. A McDonald’s worker in the United Kingdom is well aware of his establishment’s popularity with late-night crowds… and he’s decided to have a little fun with the situation. Richard Walker is employed at the Liverpool Street McDonald’s in London, a major hot spot for people looking for a quick bite to eat. When the sun goes down, he transforms his McDonald’s location into a boisterous karaoke affair, belting out tunes to a shop crowded full of customers waiting on their orders. Walker’s TikTok account is full of videos showing himself singing popular songs from artists like Bruno Mars and Bob Marley… and sometimes, the entire restaurant joins in. Click here if TikTok fails to load. The fun-filled vibe of Walker’s videos has taken on a viral status, and it all started due to his volunteer work for McDonald’s charity organization, Ronald McDonald House. “I used to sing once a week for an hour raising money for Ronald McDonald House charities exclusively, and occasionally made people laugh,” Walker said in a statement to Newsweek. “But you can see where the night shift needed my specialty, so our business manager moved me to overnights.” “The night shift is full of late travelers and their friend Jack Daniels,” he added. “I sing at least once a night every night, with a mix of Bob Marley, Bruno Mars, and some English favorites like Robbie Williams and Oasis.” “Depending on how well staffed we are I can sing with customers all night – and like the Backstreet Boys song says, ‘I Want It That Way.’” Click here if TikTok fails to load. Commenters are definitely here for this version of the world’s most famous fast-food restaurant, with viewers chiming in on how fun Walker makes the otherwise mundane experience. However, others are curious if corporate has said anything regarding his TikTok-famous hustle… but according to Walker, “‘corporate’ has had nothing to say to me and I’ve been at this for years.” It seems like Walker is bringing a little bit of joy to his place of work — and people are truly “loving it.”

McDonald’s worker goes viral on TikTok with secret burger trick – Dexerto
McDonald’s worker goes viral on TikTok with secret burger trick TikTok: DampoutsolesA McDonald’s employee has gone viral on TikTok after sharing their secret burger trick that has viewers around the world laughing. Some of the most popular videos on TikTok include a fast-food employee showcasing life in the kitchen, at the counter, or at the drive-thru window. A few recent examples are a drive-thru worker that raged at an “entitled” customer, and the workers that experienced a customer diving through the window to make her own food. McDonald’s worker explains why she ignores drive-thru customers – Dexerto
McDonald’s worker explains why she ignores drive-thru customers A McDonald’s worker is going viral after explaining why she chooses to ignore certain customers who get a bit impatient in the drive-thru. Though fast food restaurants may ensure that one’s food will be done in a timely manner, a burger and McFlurry can’t be handed to someone without the manual help of a human being. Not only do McDonald’s workers assemble the restaurant’s food, but they also take the orders. And like any person, one would expect respect from those they are dealing with while on the job. Sure, McDonald’s customers may feel that they are entitled to ‘fast food’ and quick service, but for impatient customers of one particular McDonald’s location, they’ll have to wait a little longer for their inability to do just that: wait. TikTokers side with McDonald’s employee on ‘impatient’ customers For one TikToker who works at a McDonald’s, a ‘Happy Meal’ means more than just its name, as she believes that customers should be patient and kind while ordering from the eatery she works at. Though having to wait behind multiple cars in a drive-thru line may get on someone’s nerves, the McDonald’s worker who goes by the name of maccasworkaddict on TikTok, has her own way of handling those somewhat ‘pesky’ people. Since working at McDonald’s, the TikToker has come across customers that she has refused to serve or take orders from, sarcastically captioning her now-viral TikTok video, “You can’t keep ignoring the car in the drive-thru just because they screamed ‘hello’ as soon as they get there.” Those who viewed her TikTok were quick to jump on her side of the story, saying, “This is why I don’t work at McDonald’s anymore. I can’t deal with the customers screaming at me every two seconds, imma lose my patience.” Another shared their experience, saying, “Driver gets to the speaker box and not even two seconds later when I’m about to greet them, they drive to the window and go ‘the speaker wasn’t working.’” One fellow McDonald’s worker even said she’ll scream, “One moment” until the customer ceases to speak. Though many TikTokers felt that maccasworkaddict’s actions were served with validity, some people urged the McDonald’s worker to stay patient herself, saying, “How about just saying, ‘One second, I’ll be right with you.’ I say ‘hello’ because I don’t know if they know I’m there.” The McDonald’s worker who goes by the TikTok name of “maccasworkaddict” was asked by Daily Dot to comment on her experience with impatient customers, but has not made a statement yet. And though there are always two sides to one story, one thing is for sure, and it’s that McDonald’s will continue to do well despite the occasional unhappy customer, as their yearly revenue capped at about $23 billion in 2022.

McDonald’s worker accused of lying to customer about ice cream machine being broken – Dexerto
McDonald’s worker accused of lying to customer about ice cream machine being broken mitnniie_miinniie/TikTok, Jurij Kenda/UnsplashA TikToker went viral after filming her confrontation with a McDonald’s worker after they apparently said the ice cream machine was broken – despite her seeing other workers using the machine. Even though they’re a fast food place, McDonald’s is known for their ice creams. Not only because their ice creams are delicious, but also because of how rare it can be to actually get to order one. Not knowing whether or not their ice cream machine will work has become a gamble, something people have been knowing to try to stop by creating apps to log which machines are working each day. While many of these investigations hinged on the idea that the machines were truly broken, others alleged that there may be some deception at play. Several McDonald’s workers have also come forwards to reveal that they do in fact lie and say the machine is broken just so they don’t have to clean it afterward. Recently, a user on TikTok claims to have caught one of these employees in such deception. McDonalds customer forces worker to make her an ice cream In a clip with over 48,000 views, TikTok user Miinnie claims she called out an employee’s lie about the ice cream machine and then forced them to make her an ice cream. The video showed a worker inside the drive-thru standing by the ice cream machine with his back towards Miinniie. “POV: When McDonald’s lied and said the ice cream machine was down but you caught him making one and now he had no choice but to make you one,” she writes in the text overlaying the video. However, the video doesn’t actually include the employee claiming that the machine was broken, so it’s impossible to know if it really happened, or the TikToker made it up. With over 52,000 views in just a day, several people took to the comments to express their thoughts – and some former McDonald’s workers even revealed some secrets about the infamous ice cream machines. One person wrote: “I worked there, ice cream machines work fine, they told me not to take ice cream orders bc they didn’t feel like making it.” Another said: “One time they told me it was broken and I said “no it’s not” AND THE KIDS SAID “ FINE “ and I got my ice cream.” “Usually it’s broken because whoever took it apart to clean didn’t put it back right & they don’t try again till next week’s scheduled cleaning,” a third person wrote. This is not the first time McDonald’s has been a trending topic on TikTok. Another user previously slammed the fast-food restaurant for getting her the wrong order, meaning she was left with just a bun with some lettuce and mayo.

McDonald’s worker baffles viewers with bizarre device to scramble eggs – Dexerto
McDonald’s worker baffles viewers with bizarre device to scramble eggs TikTok: paulie_dangerousA McDonald’s worker has offered some behind-the-scenes insight into how eggs are scrambled at the popular fast food restaurant, and the contraption is “crazy.” Multinational fast food chain McDonald’s is a popular stop for many seeking a quick breakfast, with scrambled eggs a favorite among customers. Now, a McDonald’s worker has revealed just how these signature eggs are made, showing off a new device the fast food giant uses for its popular breakfast item. Paulie Szczech, who goes by ‘paulie_dangerous’ on TikTok, left social media users torn over whether or not the bizarre contraption was actually beneficial. “New scrambled egg contraption here at McDonald’s,” Paulie wrote across his video, calling the device “crazy” in the caption. The contraption in question is a metal rectangle with four divided square sections wherein an employee poured scoops of liquid egg mix. Unsure how much to put in, the workers ultimately decided on two scoops before moving the contraption back and forth across the metal grill, resulting in some spillage and uncertainty. “The system [has] already failed,” one worker can be heard saying in the video. “I got to level here, I like the old way better.” Nonetheless, the group of employees ultimately came around to the device after determining they had to let it “sit for a while”, calling the end result “not bad”. “That’s a lot of wasted time,” one viewer commented. Another offered some advice, citing their experience as a Crew Trainer at McDonald’s, “It’s 1 scoop. Let it sir for a few seconds, then slowly move it back a forth.” Another pointed out that the contraction was actually commonly used by the fast food giant and had been for a long time; “New? I used the same scrambler 20 [years] ago when I worked at McDonald’s as a Teenager.” Be sure to check out all the latest entertainment news on our page here.

Upon further inspection, the health inspectors discovered multiple health code violations during building work there. According to the inspectors, they found “construction dust on surfaces of food preparation counters, equipment and flooring.” The inspectors were surprised to find even more health code violations, including the beverage machine and lack of barrier between the construction and food service area. This has led to the complete closure of the restaurant, with the owner looking to conduct an internal investigation to discover the source of the pipe.

Going viral with his ratings of each McDonalds job role in his location, the TikToker began at a widely disputed area: “Starting off with fry station, I absolutely hate this piece of sh*t. It is a 0 out of 10 for me.” For many McDonalds employees learning the ropes, jumping on the burger grill or fry station is a rite of passage, with many TikToker commenters pitching their thoughts. One user, @miguelsantos835 claimed “I love fry station, I’m a monster at fry station, we never run out of fries when I’m at fry station.” Click here if the TikTok doesn’t load The McDonalds TikToker stated that after the fry station, working “up front” is a “6 out of 10”, while “presenting” is a “7 out of 10.” “Next we have running. Now running…running can be fun, but when it gets hectic in here you just want to leave,” continued the TikToker. The role of running was swiftly awarded a “7 out of 10.” Lastly, @mcdonaldshacks_101 rated his own position, simply dubbed “pit” as a full-blown “10 out of 10.” However, the top-tier rating hasn’t sat well with some TikToker commenters. One user said that “bro pit is a punishment.” Others have countered, with another adding: “I love cooking in kitchen, feels like a game to me but then I’m kinda bored when I finish refilling all the trays with food.” Whatever job role a McDonalds employee may be doing though, we thank them for their fast food service.

McDonald’s is bringing the McRib back and the internet doesn’t know how to feel – Dexerto
McDonald’s is bringing the McRib back and the internet doesn’t know how to feel Instagram: peopleAs McDonald’s brings back the McRib in participating locations, the internet isn’t so sure how they feel about the savory sandwich making a comeback. The McDonald’s McRib is easily one of the chain restaurant’s most buzzed-about sandwiches. Though it’s been weaving its way in and out of the McDonald’s menu for years, it’s finally set to make another return. The McRib will only be sold in participating locations and won’t be back for long — so fans of the savory sandwich will have to act fast. Although it’s been one of McDonald’s most popular offerings, customers have reacted to its return with contrasting opinions, taking to the internet to share just how good they think the McRib is. The McRib will return to participating McDonald’s in November The McRib made its McDonald’s debut throughout the US in 1981. The sandwich consists of barbecue sauce, pork ribs, pickles, and onions between a long bun. It’s been retired from the menu multiple times, having returned in 2020 after eight years without it. Since then, it’s been featured for a limited amount of time. The McRib also went on a ‘farewell tour’ in 2022, where it was on the McDonald’s menu for those who praised its delicacy over the years. Though its ‘farewell tour’ is well over, the McRib will be making yet another return at participating locations this November. While many McDonald’s customers love the sandwich, others aren’t too happy about it coming back. After the announcement of the McRib’s return, displeased McDonald’s fans took to the internet to share their opposition, saying, “We don’t want that bulls—t, bring back the snack wrap.” Many others agreed, saying they would prefer McDonald’s bring back the chicken snack wrap which features a selection of sauces, cheese, and lettuce. One person even regarded the McRib as distasteful and argued for McDonald’s in the US to add better items to the menu, saying, “The McRib is so nasty. Like why can’t we get a new food item that other countries have? Can’t even get a damn snack wrap no more.” However, some people were fairly happy with the McRib announcement, saying, “Glad it’s not the last time we can all enjoy eating it. Too bad it’s not a permanent part of the menu.” As well as, “The McRib is back! Let’s go!” While another joked about its on-and-off return to the menu, saying, “Not interested in this abusive relationship, lol.” The McRib isn’t the only McDonald’s item making a return to the menu. Various locations are also now offering spicy McNuggets as well as pumpkin & crème pies. And though the McRib will only be back for a certain amount of time, it’s clear that the hate-it-or-love-it sandwich has a well-earned spot on the McDonald’s menu after years of success.

McDonald’s refuses service to demanding customer over french fry argument – Dexerto
McDonald’s refuses service to demanding customer over french fry argument TikTok: sarah_conner1After arguing with multiple McDonald’s employees over french fries, a customer was refused service. A woman was dissatisfied with the amount of fries she was given in her large McDonald’s fry and began arguing with two employees. The moment turned so sour that the McDonald’s employees refused her service. Though the customer was in the drive-thru, she began recording the situation which has now turned into a viral TikTok. Viewers have since commented on the debauchery, saying you should “never” argue with the people who prepare your food. Demanding McDonald’s customer calls employee “really rude” When a McDonald’s customer didn’t get her large fry order with enough fries, she called out the chain’s employees, asking them to give her a new order that was fuller than what she was given. In her recording-gone-viral, the customer said that the McDonald’s cashier was “being really rude.” She then requested that the specific worker “didn’t touch” her food. But when the customer kept pushing for a new order, refusing to pull up like she was asked multiple times so the drive-thru could continue, she was finally refused service. At one point, a second McDonald’s worker came to help the initial worker dealing with the customer. They then gave the customer her money back for the large fries she ordered and said, “We’re not serving you here no more.” Those who have viewed the viral moment have commented, “She wanted to speak to Ronald himself.” And, “Fast food employees do not get paid enough for this.” Many others applauded the McDonald’s employees for giving the customer her money back and saying no to her. Though the customer took her money back, she did say she’d be talking to the owner of that McDonald’s to settle the dispute.

In a clip sparking debate on the platform, TikToker ‘kaileighhm’ was at a McDonald’s drive-thru asking about getting some sauce when a worker opened the window with a drink in her hand. “So, I can’t have sauce?” she asked the employee. “Oh yeah, you’re going to throw water on me?” In an instant, the employee tossed the ice-filled cup at the woman, prompting her to give a thumbs up and suggest she would be calling the cops on her. “Who’s calling the cops now? Because I asked for some sauce?!” she exclaimed. Although the video abruptly ended there with the employee going into the back, users were left with more questions than answers. However, plenty of commenters took the side of the TikToker, praising her for remaining calm while some even said they would have broken the drive-thru window in response. It’s not clear where this video was filmed what kind of sauce was requested or if McDonald’s will be taking action, but this is just the latest in a wild number of dramatic drive-thru disasters that have taken the app by storm.

McDonald’s employee goes viral as man tries to “trauma dump” before ordering TikTok/UnsplashA TikToker has gone viral after trying to “trauma dump” during his McDonald’s order, only for the drive-thru employee to completely shut him down. TikTok may have started out life as the go-to platform for creatives to share their art, music, and other works, but it has become so much bigger over the last few years. It’s now a social media platform for pretty much any type of video you can think of. That, naturally, means viral videos too. These have always had a place on the internet, whether it be pranks, inspiring moments of charity, or someone taking a fall and everyone else laughing at them. Well, one of the latest videos to go viral on TikTok comes in the form of harry866 trying to “trauma dump” while driving through the McDonald’s drive-thru, only for the employee to not want to hear any of it. McDonald’s worker completely shuts down “trauma dump” at drive-thru The TikToker’s clip has racked up over 1 million views since being posted on September 5th as viewers were left astounded by the employee’s reaction. In the short video, Harry approached the McDonald’s drive-thru speaker and immediately tried to inform the employee about his relationship going sour. “So, I just got cheated on and I’m really upset about it,” he said. However, the employee quickly clapped back. “You want to order something, yes or no? Ok, I don’t care about your life,” she fired back. Viewers, naturally, found her response hilarious and revealed what they would have done in her position. “She interrupted you twice that’s crazy,” said one. “I’m so nosey I would’ve let him finish his story,” added another. “She went straight to the point “Boy… I don’t get paid enough for this… what you want!?” another commented. The TikToker was left impressed himself, saying that the McDonald’s worker had “slayed” with her snappy response. So, it should be a waning to anyone thinking about trying the same thing. Just order your meals.

McDonald’s employee saves Florida man kidnapped by woman at Walmart – Dexerto
McDonald’s employee saves Florida man kidnapped by woman at Walmart Instagram: ktla5newsA man was saved by an employee of McDonald’s after he made them aware that he was being held hostage. A 33-year-old male was shopping at Walmart in Sweetwater, Florida when a woman approached him and asked if he needed a ride. When he accepted the offer, he hopped inside her U-Haul truck and was soon accused of stealing the woman’s credit card, which turned the encounter eerie. Though the victim wasn’t able to get away while in the Walmart parking lot, the woman stopped at McDonald’s — giving the victim a chance to tell an employee that he was being held hostage. Victim was bitten by kidnapper Allegedly, the victim knew his captive Cristina Arrojo as well as her assailant, Marcelo Asenjo Garcia, as the three were roommates. Though Arrojo accused the victim of stealing her credit card, he denied having done so. When he tried to get out of the truck after their disagreement, Garcia punched him and forced him back inside the U-Haul. When Arrojo and Garcia took off with the victim, they reportedly became hungry and chose to stop at McDonald’s. While there, the victim attempted to call the police inside the bathroom but was unsuccessful when Arrojo bit him. The victim then made contact with a McDonald’s employee who he was able to tell about his hostage situation. The police were then notified, but the victims were gone by the time authorities arrived. However, Arrojo and Garcia were later found by police and arrested. Arrojo and Garcia have both been charged with kidnapping. Arrojo has also been charged with robbery by sudden snatching, battery, burglary, dealing in stolen property, organized scheme to defraud, and petit theft. The two are currently being held without bond.

McDonald’s employee breaks TikTok with hilariously polite drive-thru service – Dexerto
McDonald’s employee breaks TikTok with hilariously polite drive-thru service Unsplash.com: Crystal Jo / TikTok: kirstenbaker75An Australian McDonald’s employee is taking TikTok by storm thanks to his hilarious — and extremely polite — way of informing a customer they’d missed the window for hotcakes. Everyone hates rolling up to their favorite fast food restaurant, hoping to order their go-to meal combo, only to be told that the restaurant is out of that particular item. This can hold especially true for certain mealtimes, usually breakfast, which many fast food joints only serve at certain times of the day — usually from early morning until lunchtime. While this is a common occurrence, it stands to reason that employees might deal with the occasional disgruntled customer who’d rolled up just as breakfast was no longer being served… but luckily, one worker has found the perfect way to deal with this matter. McDonald’s worker goes viral for hilarious customer service skills This was the case with an Australian couple who rolled up to the drive thru at their local McDonald’s when the driver asked the employee at the window if they had “hotcakes at this time?” The worker’s response was nothing short of epic. “I do regret to inform you that, due to recent changes in policy, we only do hotcakes between the hours of four AM and ten-thirty AM,” they said in a tone that suggested they were having a bit of fun with the whole ordeal. “I do apologize for being the bearer of bad news,” they continued. “Is there anything more I could assist with? Could I perhaps interest yourself or your co-conspirator with two cheeseburgers for the price of one?” “No thanks,” the driver replied. “How unfortunate,” the worker said, before informing the pair that their total was “three-thousand, three hundred eighty cents.” Click here if TikTok fails to load. The TikToker recording the exchange was laughing throughout the entire video, which has now gone viral with over 1.4 million views. “The customer service is unmatched, someone promote this man,” she captioned the clip. There’s no doubt that this McDonald’s worker certainly know how to handle customers — but they probably didn’t know they’d go viral for their customer service capabilities. This is just the latest McDonald’s moment that’s taken over the app, after a TikToker revealed some unexpected items from the fast food chain’s menu in Italy.

McDonald’s employee divides viewers over complaint about customer codes – Dexerto
McDonald’s employee divides viewers over complaint about customer codes TIKTOK: minutemaidbros2 / PIXABAYA McDonald’s employee has left TikTok viewers divided after sharing a complaint about drive-thru customers using codes from the fast food chain’s app. The McDonald’s app is one of the most downloaded apps in the world, as it allows customers to earn points for their in-store purchases which they can then redeem on free food. But while this app may bring joy to many people, it can be a bit frustrating for McDonald’s workers, as expressed in a recent video posted by TikToker Jasper (@minutemaidbros2). In the viral clip, which has amassed 1.1 million views on TikTok, the employee filmed himself facepalming and shaking his head over an interaction with a fictional drive-thru customer. “Hi [welcome] to McDonald’s how may I help you?” he asked the imaginary customer in the text overlay of the video. “I GOT A CODE,” they replied, eliciting an annoyed expression from the worker. TikTok users in the comments had mixed reactions to the clip, with many being confused by the employee’s frustration with the customer’s response. “Isn’t easier for everyone??” one person questioned. “Aye ain’t it easier for you I just give you 4 digit code and that’s it,” another wrote. “The automatic voice be telling you do you have a code? Then the employees pressed when you trying to tell them you got a code” a third said. Others empathized with the content creator, believing he was annoyed at customers who place their order without reciprocating his greeting. “What about a ‘hi I have the code,’” one commented. “My mom doesn’t even say that she says the code # and I always lecture her for it I’m so sorry,” another added. “God my grandma and bf do this I get so embarrassed like say hi back at least,” someone else shared. McDonald’s drive-thru worker goes viral for sharing order machine secret – Dexerto
McDonald’s drive-thru worker goes viral for sharing order machine secret TikTok: get0utm3swamp/ McDonald’sMcDonald’s fans were horrified after a drive-thru employee of the fast-food restaurant revealed a shocking order machine secret on TikTok, with many swearing that they’ll be careful what they say when making their orders in the future. TikTok has become a place where both former and current employees of some of the world’s biggest companies have shared some surprising facts about what goes on behind the scenes. For instance, a Panda Express worker used TikTok to call out the company for supposedly not giving her a break during an 8-hour shift. Then, there was the Domino’s employee who argued he was “fired” after his less-than-flattering TikToks about its pizza-making process went viral. Now, a TikToker has revealed a little-known fact about life working behind the scenes at the McDonald’s drive-thru. TikToker shares McDonald’s drive-thru secret In a video posted on May 16, TikToker ‘get0utm3swamp‘ revealed that when customers finish making their orders with the machine at the McDonald’s drive-thru, the workers behind the scenes can still hear what people are saying through the speaker. “Just an FYI, as a McDonald’s worker, I can still hear you after your order. I only stop hearing you once you pull away from the speaker,” she claimed. “So keep your music and sh*t talking lower.” Viewers were horrified by the revelation and some of the embarrassing information they may have unknowingly shared with a McDonald’s employee. Click here if TikTok doesn’t load However, she quickly reassured TikTok users that she sometimes hears some “funny” moments: “I’ve heard moms and dads be like ‘if you don’t tell me what you want right now I swear to God, we are making this lady wait for your dumb***s.’” She clarified that she was aiming the comment toward people who hurt her feelings for bad-mouthing her for “just doing [her] job.” Although, she admitted that she’s also unwillingly “heard a lot of stuff” she shouldn’t have. Drive-thru users will have to heed get0utm3swamp’s warning, as according to her, this situation can take place at “any place with a drive-thru.”

McDonald’s drive-thru worker exposed by her own mom for bad customer service – Dexerto
McDonald’s drive-thru worker exposed by her own mom for bad customer service TikTok: neesa_redThis McDonald’s drive-thru worker might just want to work on her customer service skills after her own mom called her out for being rude and asked to speak to a manager. Deciding to surprise her daughter working at McDonald’s, this mom got more than she anticipated after receiving some less-than-positive customer service at the fast-food chain. Pulling up to the service window, Neesa, who goes by ‘neesa_red’ on TikTok, confronted her daughter about the “rude” service she received. Neesa filmed the interaction, posting the hilarious clip to TikTok in a now-viral video. “I’d like to speak to your manager,” Neesa can be heard saying in the TikTok. Not taking her very seriously, her daughter bursts into laughter, replying simply with “$14.06.” The two continue to go back and forth for a bit, with Neesa stating, “You were rude as hell taking my order, and that’s not how you do customer service.” Still giggling — and looking slightly embarrassed to be called out – her daughter claims any interpreted rudeness was only because she couldn’t hear her mom’s order properly. While Neesa tries to give some helpful advice for future service, she is interrupted by her daughter hilariously asking, “Is that cash or card?” With over five million views on TikTok, many loved and related to the cheeky mom-daughter interaction. “It happens, as a McDonald’s employee so many things make us mad,” one commenter posted. Another shared their own similar story, “I remember arguing with a customer when I was [a] teen, they pulled up and it was my aunt.” For all the latest entertainment news, be sure to check out our page here.

McDonald’s customer sparks debate after claiming his order contained a “wet rag” – Dexerto
McDonald’s customer sparks debate after claiming his order contained a “wet rag” TikTok: jawbreakersdjA McDonald’s customer has sparked an online debate after claiming to have received a “wet rag” instead of a crispy chicken snack wrap. While many fast food chains offer a secret menu for those who know what to ask for, a wet rag is unlikely to be on any customer’s mind when ordering a quick meal. However, that is exactly what one customer claims to have received after ordering a crispy chicken snack wrap from McDonald’s. Joking that they had “unlocked a new secret menu item,” the baffled buyer took to TikTok to share their unusual purchase — resulting in an online debate about whether the horrifying order was real. Going by ‘jawbreakersdj‘ online, the Melbourne-based DJ and drag show producer took to TikTok following the mishap. “Tell me why I just got a crispy chicken snap wrap, I open the bag and this is what I see,” Jawbreakers said, revealing a rolled-up wet rag inside the McDonald’s packaging. “It’s a wet rag!” “When I felt it, I was like, ‘Okay, that looks like a chicken wrap’… I wasn’t really focused, but it is definitely a wet rag,” they continued, with a later screenshot included in the video claiming Jawbreakers would be getting free food for the mix-up. Viewers were torn when it came to the TikTok’s legitimacy, with some convinced that Jawbreakers had made up the bizarre scenario; “No way this is real.” Nonetheless despite the absurdity of the order, many were convinced the mix-up was real — including both current and former McDonald’s employees. “I know this is real [because] as someone who worked at McDonald’s in [Australia] we had the exact same rags,” one person commented. Another said, “It’s the back area cloth.” Be sure to check out all the latest entertainment news on our page here.

As both cars moved through the McDonald’s drive-thru, the woman pointed at her horse and called out, “that’s Rocco.” In the comments, viewers were left in hysterics, and couldn’t get over the fact that Rocco was nodding to the TikToker’s question. “‘Is that a horse in your car?’ Horse nods. McDonald’s customer has major freak out after demanding fries – Dexerto
McDonald’s customer has major freak out after demanding fries TikTok: viralbangerOne man made a scene at a McDonald’s in Maryland, reaching through the drive-through window and trashing the place as he demanded fries. One man was fed up with the service he was receiving at a McDonald’s and began reaching through and wrecking the place in a bizarre rage. The reason for the man’s attitude is unknown, but fast food chains have been the staging for many other strange altercations in the past, like one McDonald’s that had been the cause of over 900 police calls. The video has gone viral across social media as people are confused and desperate for an update – “Please tell me he got arrested!” One person begged. Man destroys McDonald’s for two bags of fries The video, from a security camera inside the Maryland McDonald’s, showed the man throwing a variety of drinks at the employees as he complained about the service and demanded food. Commenters were appalled by the customer’s behavior, and even more shocked by how the employees reacted, feeling that the workers were way too nice to the man. “These employees are way too nice,” one said. “The fact they STILL gave him the food after that…..” another pointed out. Others found the altercation hilarious, especially the fact that the man made such a commotion all for two bags of fries. “Them Mickey D’s fries do be BUSSIN’!!!!” One joked. “When they tell you to pull Inna parking spot in front,” another jested. Fast food customers have been trending on TikTok recently for their complaints, whether they’re making posts on social media flaming workers for incorrect orders – like one woman who even got a reply from the worker who made their subway sandwich – or causing problems in-store like this man in Maryland.

McDonald’s customer orders ‘air’ to see what they’d deliver TIKTOK: anthonyjojolaA McDonald’s customer went viral on TikTok after ordering just ‘air’ through the DoorDash app to see what they’d actually deliver. In a viral video posted by content creator Anthony (anthonyjojola), he said that he ordered a cheeseburger from the fast food chain through DoorDash. He showed viewers that he ordered his burger with no cheese, pickles, mustard, ketchup, onions, meat, salt – or a bun. “Dear Lord, if they deliver air I’m going to lose my sh*t,” the TikToker wrote in text over the 11-second clip, which has garnered over 242,000 views. “McDonald’s doesn’t know what to do. I might have just caused world war 3,” the text overlay read. Despite ordering a ‘nothing burger,’ his order cost him a little over $2. However, the delivery fee, service fee, and taxes brought the total to $10. At the end of the video, Anthony’s DoorDash driver was seen delivering the food to his door, but the video cut off shortly after. “The saga comes to a close,” text-overlay read. “Only now realizing we sent these girls through a winter storm for an air burger,” he jokingly captioned the video. In the comments, Anthony revealed that the driver only delivered an empty box. TikTok users were surprised that he went through with the order, and paid for nothing. “Why did you order it though??” one user questioned. “Honestly surprised McDonald’s didn’t cancel the order,” another added. “Bro spent $10 and someone’s time for a bag,” a third wrote, to which the content creator replied, “I simply don’t care.” “You better have tipped that poor delivery driver,” someone else said. This is just the latest DoorDash-related video to go viral on the social media app. Back in November, a TikToker sparked a debate after eating food that was mistakenly delivered to him.

McDonald’s customer devastated after her 400 free coffee cards become ‘worthless’ – Dexerto
McDonald’s customer devastated after her 400 free coffee cards become ‘worthless’ CTV screenshot/PixabayA McDonald’s customer who had collected over 400 free coffee cards was left frustrated after the chain decided to discontinue the program. For years, McDonald’s customers have been able to fill out cards and earn a free coffee for every seven purchased, but all those cards have been rendered obsolete. Back in 2022, McDonald’s announced its on-cup reward cards would be coming to an end in Canada, but some customers who had no idea their collected free coffees would be unusable. Vinnie Deluca, who had collected 416 cards over the years, explained that she was baffled that she was no longer able to redeem them. “I tried to use them and was told they were no longer accepting them and that they had expired, but there is no expiry date on them,” she told CTV. “My 416 cards worth of free coffees have zero value right now.” Another loyal customer, Catherine Schuck, said that her 80 cards were now void and expressed frustration at the situation. “For them to say we know you purchased 600 coffees and you have the cards, but too bad,” she said. The chain made the change in part of its focus on the McDonald’s app and defended the decision, saying that customers were given ample warning through in-restaurant signs and other forms of communication that the free coffees had to be redeemed before December 31, 2023. Nonetheless, some customers believe McDonald’s should honor their free coffees in some capacity, but the restaurant doesn’t have plans to convert the rewards for its app.

McDonald’s customer dives through window to make her own food in viral TikTok – Dexerto
McDonald’s customer dives through window to make her own food in viral TikTok TikTok: @greergreer / Unsplash.com: Brett JordanOne determined woman has shocked the internet after taking matters into her own hands when her local McDonald’s closed, prompting her to make her own order at the fast-food chain. We’ve all been there: It’s late at night and you’re craving an order from your favorite fast-food joint. However, when you roll up to the drive-thru, the restaurant is already closed, leaving you hungry and annoyed (y’know — hangry). This particular situation happened to one woman who wasn’t about to go hungry for the evening. In a viral Tiktok uploaded by user ‘greergreer,’ the woman — dressed in formal party attire — can be seen standing at the drive thru window speaking to the staff at her local McDonald’s, clearly not phased that they had stopped taking orders. Instead of going back home, she literally stepped through the window into the kitchen, prompting some shocked screams from the workers there. That’s not all; she even asked the manager on duty if he could train her to make her own food. “McDonald’s corporate — it’s my first day training,” she said. “I’m inadequately dressed, so you are not responsible…” Click here if TikTok fails to load. It’s unclear if the woman was under the influence or not, but the video capturing the moment has gone viral, racking up over 500,000 views. Thus far, it looks like commenters are pretty amused by the woman’s determination, with most saying that they’d just let her make her own food at that point. “She climbed all the way through that window, let her make it LMFAO,” one user wrote. “Mannnn, if y’all don’t teach her how to make her own 10 piece,” another said. “NOT HER SAYING ITS HER FIRST DAY OF TRAINING!” yet another laughed. This is just the latest fast food-related debacle to take over TikTok after one user went viral for spilling the tea on some of McDonald’s biggest trade secrets on the app.

McDonald’s customer claims “discrimination” after being kicked out after 30 minutes – Dexerto
McDonald’s customer claims “discrimination” after being kicked out after 30 minutes TikTok: jensenaharrisA TikToker has gone viral after uploading a video of himself being kicked out of a McDonald’s despite it being pretty empty, claiming it’s “discrimination” and viewers are urging him to sue. TikTok has been home to a number of confrontations between restaurant workers and visitors, with a number of arguments going viral on the platform over the last few months. In the case of TikToker Jensen Harris, who posts under the username jensenaharris, he was left stunned after McDonald’s employees in Rhode Island kicked him out of the store after being there for 30 minutes. In the post, which has gotten over 520,000 views, the TikToker is seen arguing with staff over whether or not it is McDonald’s policy to kick patrons out after 30 minutes, even if the store is pretty empty. TikToker goes viral being kicked out of McDonald’s after 30 minutes The TikToker showed that there is a “no loitering” notice in the restaurant, but there is no similar policy on the official McDonald’s website. “That is not the policy of McDonald’s, that’s not,” the TikToker said to one of the members of staff. He was also urged to stop recording and leave the restaurant as the two continued a back-and-forth. As the staff stopped communicating with Jensen, they called the police on him, with five officers being sent to the store to get him to leave. The TikToker uploaded another post on January 11, claiming that he’d been able to sit there for well over an hour on another day. “This policy is BS. This is racism. This is discrimination. This is wrong in so many ways and I’m here to tell you justice will be served,” he added in the caption. Plenty of viewers backed the TikToker, urging him to take legal action against McDonald’s. “Lawsuit and get in contact with corporate! call them out!” said one. “Lawsuit for sure,” added another. It remains to be seen if the TikToker will take legal action, but plenty of viewers believe it would have merit.

McDonald’s Crocs divide fans On the whole, the response has been rather divided on the new McDonald’s Crocs, with some commenting, “I need those slides,” and “Awesome!! Can’t wait.” Others, however, think they’re just a little bit on the strange side. One questioned “What happened to them? This looks like a murder scene. Did they lose a war with Burger King ?” Many, however, are disappointed that their favorite character, Grimace, comes in the form of a slide rather than a croc. One asked, “Why the f**k did they only make Grimace sandals?” and “Grimace should’ve been regular Crocs, I would’ve bought that.” Grimace became a viral sensation on TikTok in 2023, making rounds on the internet with the hashtag, #GrimaceShake. Mcdonald’s released a limited edition Grimace Shake, and TikTokers everywhere recorded themselves drinking the purple beverage. In the videos, users would cut to another clip of themselves having ended up in strange locations, implying that Grimace was the reason for their ordeal. Whether commentators love or hate the Crocs, users point out that one thing’s for certain, Mcdonald’s Missed a golden opportunity not naming the products, “Mc-Crocs.” In other news, a woman has released a McGriddle dupe that’s got fans talking.

Mayweather vs Logan Paul: Battle for clout? Jake Paul says brother is a “fake fighter” as bout approaches – Dexerto
Mayweather vs Logan Paul: Battle for clout? Jake Paul says brother is a “fake fighter” as bout approaches YouTube: Jake Paul / Instagram: Logan PaulYouTube star Logan Paul might have scored the fight of a lifetime after securing a bout with none other than Floyd Mayweather — but little brother Jake Paul isn’t convinced that he’s throwing down for the right reasons. The Paul brothers are in the midst of a completely unexpected transition from full-time content creators to professional boxers. Ever since Logan threw down with rival influencer KSI in August 2018, they’ve been set on making the sport a career — but the jury’s still out on if they can make it happen. That being said, they’ve continued to make their mark in the space, with Jake Paul having scored three fights in the interim (all of which he’s convincingly won). Coming fresh off his 2nd Round victory over former NBA pro Nate Robinson, Jake is making his exploits known to the world by calling out every high-profile fighter out there for a potential battle — but it seems like he isn’t a fan of his brother’s upcoming match against Mayweather. View this post on Instagram In a December 31 interview with TMZ, Jake called his older bro a “fake fighter,” and even claimed that he had taken the match for attention, saying the exhibition is detrimental to the sport of boxing. “My brother is f**ked,” Jake said of the situation. “It’s bad for the sport. I think it’s just for clout. You know, my brother’s a fake fighter. I’m the real fighter. He’s 0-1, I’m 3-0.” That being said, he made sure to wish his brother the best, but isn’t convinced that he can go the distance against the 50-0 pro. “But I wish him the best of luck,” he continued. “Don’t get in there with the guy who’s never even been knocked down. He got knocked down once, and it was by accident.” Jake isn’t the only one who predicts a swift end for Logan; even the legendary Mike Tyson predicted that Mayweather will “beat his f**kin’ ass” in the ring during a podcast several days prior. View this post on Instagram Considering the odds against him, it comes as little surprise that Logan isn’t the crowd favorite — but there’s still a chance that he might surprise us all.

Mayahiga sings unique version of xQc’s classic setup rant – Dexerto
Mayahiga sings unique version of xQc’s classic setup rant Streamer Maya Higa give one of Twitch’s most famous clips new life when she broke into a beautiful rendition of Félix ‘xQc’ Lengyel’s classic setup rant. Maya is one of the breakout stars of 2019 on Twitch, skyrocketing to the top of the platform’s Just Chatting section thanks to her amazing animal-based live streams, and hilarious moments with her boyfriend Mizkif. The streamer is also a good singer, and one of her first broadcasts saw her singing to her audience saw her make $900 in donations, something that lead to an awkward but hilarious conversation with her parents. Maya still breaks out into song occasionally on her channel, and during her November 14 stream, debuted an amazing new version of one of Twitch’s iconic moments. While singing memes suggested by her Twitch chat, her audience started posting the words to xQc’s rant about how elaborate some streaming setups are, comparing them to the kind of thing NASA uses to fly spaceships. Read More: Fortnite star THump banned on Twitch – The 21-year-old broke into a beautiful version, but even she couldn’t make it the whole way through, breaking down into fits of laughter once she got to the part about using cameras to show their pets on stream. The song was incredibly accurate though, and if you want to compare it to the original version screamed by the former Overwatch pro, you can watch it below. Unsurprisingly, Maya’s viewers were delighted with the song, spamming her chat with praise and reactions as she laughed at the meme, with some suggesting that she slam the desk just like xQc does when games like Overwatch aren’t going this way. The streamer has yet to react to his fellow streamer’s version of the song, but it’s very likely he’ll have something to say, although who knows what could come out of the mouth of xQc.

Mayweather Pacquiao 2 | Rematch coming in 2019? – Dexerto
Mayweather Pacquiao 2 | Rematch coming in 2019? Mayweather Pacquiao was arguably the most anticipated fight of all time. The two boxing greats could be on a collision course for a 2019 rematch! Pacquiao Broner Speculation and hype is intensifying as it is looking more likely that Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao will once again meet in the ring. Mayweather was in attendance for Pacquiao’s latest fight against Adrien “The Problem” Broner. The undefeated Mayweather watched the Philippine Congressman claim a comfortable unanimous decision over the American, Broner. Officially, Pacquiao beat Broner by scores of 117-111, 116-112 and 116-112. However, in reality this was arguably a little harsh on the 40 year-old Pacquiao. The current (regular) welterweight champion, landed more than twice as many punches over the duration of the 12 rounds. Pacquiao Wants the Fight After the fight, and using his champion status to his advantage, Pacquiao stated, “If he wants to come out of retirement, then announce it and challenge me. I’m a champion and I don’t pick any opponent.” During the Showtime’s post-fight interview with Pacquiao, Mayweather himself was asked by Showtime sportscaster Jim Gray, “Are you going to accept that challenge?” With the camera on “money” Mayweather, he coyly looked away and didn’t respond. It is looking more and more likely Mayweather and Pacquiao have a rematch of their 2015 fight. Pacquiao has made his feeling clear. “Tell him to come back to the ring and we will fight,” Pacquiao said in reference to Mayweather’s current retired status. The only ever eight-division world champion has been angling for a rematch ever since their first fight. Mayweather, Tenshin and McGregor Meanwhile, Mayweather temporarily halted his retirement to face Conor McGregor in a boxing match. McGregor, a former two-weight UFC champion, fighting in his first professional boxing match, succumbed to a 10th round TKO stoppage. This fight was the 2nd biggest PPV draw ever behind Mayweather Pacquiao 1. More recently, the controversial Mayweather, fought in a boxing exhibition bout against Tenshin Nasukawa. This fight took place under the Rizin promotion and was widely criticised. The 20 year-old Nasukawa is a kick-boxer who normally fights at the 121 pound weight division. However, this three-round exhibition took place at a weight of 147 pounds. This, along with the skill gap between the two, at least in terms of pure boxing, was the primary reason for the criticism behind the bout. Mayweather completely outclassed his opponent which ended in a first-round finish. Back in September 2018, Mayweather had stated that he intended to come back and face Pacquiao in December 2018. This didn’t materialise but at the very least does show Pacquiao is on his radar. After all, there a few people who aren’t called Pacquiao, who could generate the type of money needed to get Mayweather in the ring. Despite being one of the highest paid athletes of all time, it is widely speculated that Mayweather may need to come out of retirement for the money. He lives an unsurprisingly lavish lifestyle which is rumored to have taken a toll on his wealth. The intent and motivation from Pacquiao’s side is clear. He has been outwardly open about wanting the rematch. However, with Mayweather having a win over Pacquiao already, there is perhaps less competitive motivation from his side. If the two are to meet in 2019, or later, it will likely be financially motivated from Mayweather’s side. Is Mayweather Pacquiao 2 Going to Happen? With Pacquiao coming off two wins and Mayweather approaching 42 years of age next month, it makes sense for the rematch to happen sooner than later. Mayweather does have the likes of McGregor, and even Khabib Nurmagomedov as potential opponents. Both of these are under contract with the UFC though. Dana White, UFC President, has expressed reluctance to allow a fighter of his to get in the ring with Mayweather again. As a result, and if this holds true, Mayweather doesn’t have many other options beyond Pacquiao. Moreover, bookmakers are even offering odds for a 2019 rematch between the two. Based on these odds, Pacquiao is a 2/1 (+200) underdog as of writing.

Maya speaks out following Atrioc deepfake controversy: ‘Disgusting & violated’ – Dexerto
Maya speaks out following Atrioc deepfake controversy: ‘Disgusting & violated’ Instagram: maya_higaTwitch streamer Maya Higa has spoken out on the controversy surrounding fellow streamer Brandon ‘Atrioc’ Ewing, who was revealed to have watched deepfake content featuring herself and other top Twitch stars, sparking severe backlash from those involved and the wider streaming community. On January 30, 2023, Atrioc, joined by his wife, went live on Twitch with a tearful apology, after accidentally showing a tab open on his PC that showed he had been looking at deepfake content of some of the most popular women on the platform. The original clip quickly went viral, with thousands of users sharing their thoughts on the situation, including other top Twitch streamers — and those involved. Pokimane and QTCinderella were among those who responded to what had happened, with Poki simply demanding that people “stop sexualizing people without their consent.” Now, Maya has made a statement, calling back to when she was raped in 2018, and comparing it to the current situation. “In 2018, I was inebriated at a party and I was used for a man’s sexual gratification without my consent,” she said. “Today, I have been used by hundreds of men for sexual gratification without my consent. The world calls my 2018 experience rape. The world is debating over the validity of my experience today. The debate over our experience as women in this is, not shockingly, amongst men. None of you should care or listen to what any male streamer’s ‘take’ is on how we feel. “I have created zero sexual content in my three years on Twitch. Despite this, my face was stolen so men could make me into a sexual object to use for themselves. If anyone doesn’t think it’s a big deal that MY NAME is in headlines where thousands of people are commenting on the sexualization of MY BODY against MY WILL, you are the problem. This situation makes me feel disgusting, vulnerable, nauseous, and violated, and all of these feelings are far too familiar to me.” Finally, she told those arguing about the validity of her and other women’s concerns that “This is not your debate. Stop acting like it is.” This sentiment echoes that of many women who have responded to the incident, including those named, stating that it is not a man’s place to try to defend Atrioc or the objectification of women without their consent. Atrioc has since apologized again and revealed that he will be taking a break from streaming, followed by Ludwig — QTCinderella’s boyfriend — sharing the posts of the women affected on Mogul Mail, showing support for both QT and the others involved.

Maya stepping away from online platforms “indefinitely” amid Mizkif allegations – Dexerto
Maya stepping away from online platforms “indefinitely” amid Mizkif allegations Following allegations that Mizkif instructed his then-girlfriend Maya to “downplay” Adrianah Lee’s sexual assault accusations, Maya has issued a final statement on the matter where she claims she will be taking an indefinite break from all online platforms. On September 19, Twitch streamer Trainwreck hurled lofty allegations at his peer Mizkif that claimed he used his friends to cover up sexual assaults. The two that were named were MitchJones and Maya Higa. According to a leaked Discord call between Mizkif, Trainwreck, Asmongold, xQc, and Barry; an eye witness claimed that Maya had “gaslit” Adrianah Lee into downplaying her allegations against Maya and Mizkif’s close friend CrazySlick. Before the call had leaked, Maya had come out with her own statement on Twitch where she claimed she wished she would have stayed out of the situation and admitted that her status could have inadvertently affected Lee’s Twitlonger regarding the sexual assault allegations. Maya’s final statement on Adrianah Lee situation On September 25, following the leaked Discord call, Maya would issue what she calls her “final statement” via a TwitLonger. She claimed that she was not given the opportunity to represent herself during the call, and that “false allegations” were made that prompted her final response. She stated that she did not intend to cause more harm with her response, but wanted to speak on her intentions the day she and Mitch went to talk with Lee about the Slick situation. “I did not go to the house that day with the intention of manipulating Adrianah’s story. I did not cover up sexual assault. This would not be possible as even Adrianah did not consider the incident to be sexual assault until this past Monday (09/19/2022), as she said on her stream,” Maya wrote. She went on to state that Lee’s feelings had “rightfully” changed and that she “supported” Adrianah. Maya claimed that her actions in 2021 were influenced by the information provided at that time: Adrianah claimed she wasn’t raped but was made uncomfortable by Slick. “At the time, I thought this was the right thing to do. I fully understand that it was wrong, given my position, to insert myself into that situation. I apologize for the power dynamic and the harm it might have caused. I am deeply disappointed in my judgment and choices and I am deeply sorry to Adrianah for my involvement.” She apologized several more times throughout the TwitLonger and condemned Slick for his alleged actions. Maya ended her statement with the announcement that she would be stepping away from “online platforms indefinitely”.

Maya reignites Twitch tier list drama by placing Hasan and Amouranth last – Dexerto
Maya reignites Twitch tier list drama by placing Hasan and Amouranth last Twitch/nmplolTwitch streamer Maya may have reignited yet another fire on the platform by placing Hasan and Amouranth last in her tier list. Tier lists have become a part of internet and video game culture. From ranking fighting game fighters, fast food joins and flags – they’re everywhere and allow anyone to rank everything and anything. Lately, Twitch tier lists have caused an abundance of drama in the community with xQc facing backlash for placing Pokimane and Hasan in B tier for his top steamer list. Despite the French Canadian burying the hatchet with the socialist streamer, Maya’s new tier list has already sparked some controversy with her ranking of the site’s funniest content creators. Maya tempts fate with funniest streamer tier list While Maya gave Trainwreck and 39daph high placings, she decided to place Amouranth Hasan in F-tier. “Amouranth has made me laugh before with self-aware jokes. That being said, funny is not what she does,” Maya explained, putting the OnlyFans star in the bottom. When it came to Hasan, Maya said that while she quite likes him, he has never made her laugh intentionally. “I’m so sorry Hasan, but he’s like way down here,” she said, placing him dead last in F tier, much to the gasp of Nmplol. “He’s not supposed to be funny! He’s not supposed to be a funny streamer. That’s not his thing.” This decision ultimately made Nmp briefly walk out, perhaps due to the potential drama the placement would cause. On Reddit, Maya’s ranking of Hasan was met with some scrutiny with users wondering why they were making more tier lists to begin with. “Why are they even doing this after the fallout from xQc’s tier list and why is Maya helping them farm drama?” one wrote. “This is the expected result and exactly what they wanted.” “Maya thinks it’s fine cause they are not trying to be funny but they are all streamers and all try their best to entertain,” another said. “People will look at others’ rating and compare and it never feels good to be ranked at the bottom of anything, especially from a peer.” It’s unclear what Amouranth and Hasan will have to say about their placements, but it seems like the Twitch community is already riled up as the tier list drama continues.

Maya reveals new Twitch plans after returning from two-month break – Dexerto
Maya reveals new Twitch plans after returning from two-month break Twitch: MayaTwitch streamer Maya Higa has just returned from her two-month break from content creation and has revealed her plans for the future. Just two months after taking her indefinite break from Twitch, Maya Higa made good on her announcement that she was set to return to streaming on November 16. In a short, one-hour-long broadcast, Maya revealed some of the thoughts she had during her break, including her final decision to return to Twitch to continue educating people on animal conservation. Maya also revealed a slight shift in her plans for the future of her channel, with more streams to educate her community in the works. Maya reveals new Twitch plans after break After over a month of trying to figure out different ways to support Alveus Sanctuary without the income from Twitch, Maya decided that she wanted to come back to continue animal conservation education on her channel. With that, Maya revealed that the content on her personal channel as well as the Alveus Sanctuary will slightly change with her return. The creator still plans on doing singing and meal-prep broadcasts during her four-day-a-week schedule, but twice a week will consist of IRL streams around Alveus Sanctuary. To further her focus on conservation education, each of her personal streams will end by raiding the Alveus Twitch channel, where they will have special content each day of the week for fans to enjoy. (Topic starts at 45:20 in the VOD) To help her do all of this, Maya said that during her break she moved out of her old home and purchased a “tiny house.” Although it doesn’t have water, sewer, or electricity hooked up to it yet, the new home will allow her to focus on what she loves doing as it’s placed right on the sanctuary’s property.

Maya announces Twitch return after Mizkif controversy Instagram: MayaHigaMaya Higa is finally making her return to Twitch streaming after she announced an “indefinite” break just after allegations against Mizkif surfaced on Twitter. At the time of writing, their YouTube channel for the series has amassed over 90,000 subscribers and over two million views. It’s unknown what Maya has up her sleeve to talk about during her return stream, as Mizkif mentioned in the past that he’s unable to talk about the situation — and it’s likely that Maya is as well.

Maya describes awkward talk with parents after she made $900 streaming Instagram: maya_higaTwitch streamer Maya Higa has revealed the awkward conversation she had with her parents after making $900 in donations during her fourth broadcast on the platform. Maya first started streaming on Twitch back in February 2019, but has quickly become one of the most popular stars in the site’s ‘Just Chatting’ category, regularly drawing thousands of viewers to her channel. The 21-year-old found instant success on the Amazon-owned platform, but after a particularly fruitful stream during her fourth broadcast ever, the American was forced to have an awkward conversation with her parents who didn’t quite understand how she had made almost $1000 in just four hours. While watching a clip of herself playing guitar from her early time on Twitch, Maya shared the awkward encounter she had with her parents following the end of her successful broadcast. “I made, for some reason, $900 in donations on this stream,” she told her audience. “I don’t remember how many viewers I had, but it was my fourth stream, and I got $900.” “The next morning, I woke up and went to the kitchen and told my parents, and they were like ‘but not real money though.’ I was like: ‘No, it’s in my PayPal. I was just sitting there signing,’ and they were like but what were you doing? I don’t think my mom explicitly asked what I was wearing, but they thought that I was stripping.” Since then, Maya has seen incredible growth on her channel, and now sits with 104,000 followers, and regularly broadcasts herself watching clips by herself or with boyfriend Mizkif, or IRL streams that often involve her love of animals and conservation. After so long on the platform, Maya’s parents are sure to now understand how donations on Twitch work, but it comes as no surprise that they would be suspicious when their daughter arrives at the breakfast table claiming she’s made $900 from people watching her online!

Although Max himself hasn’t come out to explain what has happened to his channel, it seems very likely that he has simply deleted his account. Whether or not he comes back is another question, but with many of his peers not impressed by his actions, MaximilianMus might be out of action for a while.

Maximillian details the future of his famous fighting game YouTube channel – Dexerto
Maximillian details the future of his famous fighting game YouTube channel Maximillian Dood/YouTubeMaximillian Dood is already one of the most prolific fighting game YouTubers, but it seems he has plans to grow his channel even farther in the new year. The YouTuber has been reflecting on his last ten years of content creation on the platform with a series going over the major events and videos that he produced each year of the decade. When he finished the series, his latest release focused on the upcoming year, things that Max is looking forward to and a somewhat surprising admission from the fighting game aficionado. The main thrust of the video is simple: Maximillian is tired. He’s been working at his channel solo, editing videos largely on his own. Specifically he noted that some of the content that he produced did not even end up going live on the channel. As such, he announced that he would actually be somewhat taking his hands of the reins of creating videos on his own, rather letting someone else do the grunt work while he continues to appear in videos. “I’m going to relax my viceroy grip on the channel, and allow for a little bit more consistency,” Maximillian said. “It’s tough for me to say that, but I’m just going to pay someone else to do it. “It may not be the best for me monetarily, but I think it’s a lot healthier for things that are meant to end up on YouTube actually making the translation to the channel.” And before you fighting game fans worry, this actually should result in more content, not less. Maximillian reflected that he’d already done this with his other joint channel Yo!Videogames back in 2013 with longtime collaborator Simmons, who was able to transition that into his full-time career. At that time, Max was not only working his channel, but also managing Yo!Videogames and would sometimes edit as many as nine videos a day. As it stands, when Max was being consistent, he was editing as many as 60 videos a month, or an average of two per day. “With this year being an incredible year for me, I just can’t keep going as I have been,” Max lamented. “I am burnt the f**k out, which is why there hasn’t been a ton of consistent videos. […] I think this decision has been overdue for about three years.” If anything, this announcement seems to have re-energized Maximillian as he heads into the new decade. Maximillian has been creating content for the fighting game community since 2011, when he became well known for the Assist Me series around the launch of Marvel vs. Capcom 3. While this series (and most of his scripted content) has been discontinued, his reactions, breakdowns of ongoing events in the fighting game community, and streams have become renowned. They have become respected as one of the best sources of fighting game news and opinions that are held up by the community at large for discussion, if not outright agreement. It seems that this will not change, and his legend will only grow as we move into the roaring 20s.

MattHDGamer wants answers from Twitch after “freezing revenue” overnight – Dexerto
MattHDGamer wants answers from Twitch after “freezing revenue” overnight YouTube: MattHDGamerMattHDGamer is demanding answers from Twitch after the Amazon-owned streaming platform has withheld earnings. MattHDGamer has been a long-standing creator in the FIFA community. Starting his YouTube channel all the way back in 2010, the 32-year-old has amassed an impressive 2.4 million subscribers to date. Recently, the YouTube star has begun focusing efforts on streaming, going live every day for several hours playing EA FC 24, where he typically averages more than 300 viewers. However, on April 8, the FC 24 broadcaster put out a cry for help, explaining Twitch has frozen and withheld his earned revenue. “Hey guys, Twitch has partially suspended my channel and won’t tell me why. I can still stream but all revenue is frozen,” he wrote on Twitter/X. “They won’t help. Absolutely gutted. Just when I’ve got into full time streaming.” In another post on social media, the streamer urged the Amazon-owned platform to quickly resolve the issue — which he says could take weeks. “I’ve streamed 148 hours last 30 days, and absolutely love it,” he said. “Needs resolving asap. They said it can take more than 2 weeks.” According to Matt, Twitch found botting or suspicious activity, which he suspects came from a raid, triggering the platform’s systems to take action and partially suspend his channel. As a result of the discrepancies, Twitch has turned off video and audio ads on Matt’s channel and will withhold all advertisement revenue for at least two weeks. However, revenue from bits and subscriptions will remain available to the streamer. Fans have urged Matt to consider streaming on other platforms such as Kick or YouTube while he waits for the issue to be resolved.

Maximilian defends why he covers so many different fighting games – Dexerto
Maximilian defends why he covers so many different fighting games Twitter/maximilian_Maximilian Dood is one of the most popular Fighting game content creators on both YouTube on Twitch. On October 3, Maximilian broke down why he chooses to cover so many different fighting games after a viewer criticized the types of games he covers. With so many different fighting games on the market and all sorts of different genres from anime fighting games to 3D fighters and 2D fighters, it can be tough to keep up, let alone be a fan of each one. However, for Maximilian, all fighting games are important and worthy of his attention. Max with Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada “I don’t care if the fighting game you play is ‘better’, ‘worse’ or ‘dead’, or ‘dredge’ or ‘weebed’,” the streamer said using air quotes. “I don’t care. All I care is that people play fighting games,” the popular content creator said. However, while that doesn’t mean he can’t have opinions or even biases towards one genre, it doesn’t change his goal. “I’m going to have my preferences, absolutely,” Max said. “All I care about is that people play fighting games. That’s been my goal for making content literally forever. I don’t care which one you play, it’s just to get people to play them.” The Fighting Game Community supporter went on to explain how he wanted to see more people go to tournaments and designed his Assist Me series knowing full well that people would grow out of some of his content once they reach a certain skill level. The goal is just to make more fighting game fans in general. “I’m completely fine with that,” Max added. “It enables more people to play fighting games, it enables more people to learn about the fighting game community and it enables more people to purchase fighting games for the fact that more fighting games can be made.” He then discussed how there are a lot of fighting games on the market to play with a new game coming out every few months or so. To this, he credits Capcom’s recent struggles as a good thing because it’s allowed other fighting games to shine. Not that Max wants Capcom to do poorly. “If anyone wants Capcom fighting games to do good, it’s me. And the last two have been rough. Very rough.” Max covers all sorts of fighting games, such as Killer Instinct. Who is Maximillian Dood? Since joining YouTube in 2007, Maximilian Dood has racked up an astonishing amount of subscribers with over 1.15 million. His coverage ranges from Super Smash Bros to Mortal Kombat and from Marvel vs Capcom to Tekken and Street Fighter and many other games in between. He is perhaps most well known for his Assist Me series of videos, which featured skits starring “Dr. Doom” and himself as they encounter various characters from the Marvel vs Capcom series as they learned how to play as them. He is also perhaps the most well-known fighting game streamer on Twitch, with 715,046 at the time of writing.

Matt Rife slammed after “disgusting” response to people offended by his jokes NetflixStandup comedian Matt Rife has come under fire for his new Netflix special that’s causing controversy, as well as his subsequent joke “apology” video. Comedian Matt Rife, who found fame largely through TikTok, has come under fire for his response to viewers who have taken offense to his latest Netflix special, Natural Selection. While Rife is known for pushing the boundaries in his stand-up routines, his new Netflix special is causing backlash online due to him making a joke about domestic violence at the beginning. However, rather than apologizing for this, the comedian has responded in a way that is causing even more controversy online. TikToker samanthafekete posted a video about the drama, which currently has over 1.2 million views. In a new Instagram story, Rife posted a video of himself on stage, writing in the post, “If you’ve ever been offended by a joke I’ve told, here’s a link to my official apology video.” The link directs to a page that sells “special needs helmets.” Users across social media have been blasting the comedian for this post and his special as a whole. TikToker users wrote that they “audibly GASPED” when they saw his response. Others calling it “disgusting.” One Twitter user wrote, “What is the hype with this matt riff raff or whoever. like dude is so unfunny if that is even a thing. Not to mention he isn’t even cute at all. How? like his standup on Netflix is insufferable.” Another added that they thought the “Matt riff special was mid.” Of course, this isn’t the first time the comedian has found himself in the middle of online backlash. Time will tell if Rife does issue a more genuine apology for the special and for the subsequent Instagram story. After more entertainment news and updates? Matt Rife hits back at plastic surgeon hinting that he “created” his jawline – Dexerto
Matt Rife hits back at plastic surgeon hinting that he “created” his jawline TikTok: ManyFacesOfChicago/Instagram: MattRifeComedian Matt Rife has hit back at a plastic surgeon on social media who hinted that he “created the greatest jawline ever seen,” prompting many to believe he was talking about Rife. On November 15, 2023, Matt Rife released his third comedy special and his first to be available on Netflix. It’s a great accomplishment for any comedian, and we can assume it happening was helped by his popularity on TikTok. However, one of the jokes he opened the special with sparked a bit of backlash. Matt also responded to the backlash, causing even more pushback against the comedian. A plastic surgeon joined in on the hubbub, posting a video where he says he “created the greatest jawline ever seen,” leaving many to believe he was talking about Matt Rife — and prompting the comedian to respond. Matt Rife hits back at plastic surgeon on Instagram On November 28, TikToker ManyFacesOfChicago, who is also a plastic surgeon, posted a video showing his reaction to “creating the greatest jawline ever seen just for my patient to get cancelled right after.” Over 14k comments have been made on the now-viral post, and the large majority of them assumed that the post was about Matt Rife. The surgeon posted the clip on Instagram as well and got the same reaction, prompting Rife himself to comment on the video. Not long after, the comedian deleted his thoughts. “Lying about medical history is illegal, just FYI,” he said. The surgeon hasn’t commented on the interaction since Matt’s comment was made and deleted, but we’ll be sure to update you if he does. In the meantime, keep it locked to Dexerto for more news.

Matt Rife mocks cancel culture in new skit for crowd work Netflix special – Dexerto
Matt Rife mocks cancel culture in new skit for crowd work Netflix special X/MattRifeComedian Matt Rife is returning to Netflix on August 13 with his new crowd work special, Lucid. In the trailer, Rife mocked cancel culture and those offended by his previous special. Matt Rife made his Netflix debut in 2023 in the form of his special, ‘Natural Selection,’ which caused an eruption of backlash online after Rife made a joke about domestic violence at the beginning of his set. Rather than apologizing, he doubled down and mocked his critics – something the 28-year-old did once more in the trailer for Lucid. In the trailer, Rob Riggle plays a Netflix exec at the streaming platform’s HQ, where he holds a pitch meeting to discuss Rife’s next special. Riggle then asks a team of Netflix employees, all played by Rife, about the concept for the special and rebukes common misconceptions about the comedian. “Wasn’t he canceled?” one asks. “He didn’t get canceled. He’s been out on tour for a year and a half, sold out, worldwide,” Riggle fires back. “Didn’t his last special, like, totally flop?” asks a blue-haired version of Rife. “It was the most-watched special of the third and fourth quarter of last year and that was by watch time, not just views. And it wasn’t even close.” Eventually, a janitor, also played by Rife, wanders into the meeting and suggests that the next special should focus on his crowd work – something that Rife has become famous for. “We’re actually gonna give the people what they want,” Riggle proclaims as the trailer ends. Rife’s new special comes as Netflix is seemingly gearing up to sign comedy podcast Kill Tony. Netflix has been getting more involved with live content, such as securing the rights to Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson and WWE programming in 2025. Lucid will debut just over one week after Joe Rogan’s Netflix return with his live special, Burn the Boats, which aired on August 3.

MatPat tearfully announces YouTube retirement and fans are shocked – Dexerto
MatPat tearfully announces YouTube retirement and fans are shocked YouTube: The Game TheoristsMatPat has tearfully announced that he will retire from his YouTube channels, including Game Theory, in March 2024, leaving fans shocked. MatPat has been making content on YouTube for over thirteen years, famously uploading his first-ever Game Theory episode back in April 2011. Since then, it’s been off to the races for the YouTuber, who has launched a bevy of other channels like The Film Theorists, The Food Theorists, and even The Style Theorists over the past decade or so. Casual viewers might know MatPat best from his viral Game Theory episodes discussing the miles-deep lore of the Five Nights at Freddy’s franchise (an accomplishment that even saw him snag a cameo role in the movie last year). But now, his YouTube empire is coming to an end. Thirteen years and 18 million subscribers later, MatPat has announced that he is officially stepping down from his career as a YouTuber and handing the reins off to “someone else.” MatPat retires from Game Theory YouTube channel after 13 years MatPat revealed this news in a January 9 YouTube video, where he tearfully explained his reasons for leaving his career path behind. “We knew that honestly, we didn’t want to do this forever,” he claimed. “As much as I love you and I love overthinking things, and I love theorizing, I don’t love late nights. I don’t love that Steph and I have been work first for over a decade.” Ultimately, MatPat feels that he’s missed out on time with his family due to his grueling work schedule on YouTube, saying that his life has “changed” in major ways over the last ten years. Over the next ten weeks, the Theory channels will host nine more theories before uploading a final video that the YouTuber called ‘MatPat’s Final Theory.’ He also revealed that the Theory channels will be passed on to key members of the team in his absence — but he will remain with the project in creative and directorial roles. That’s not all; he also claimed he’s starting a “lo-fi mystery series” called ‘Lore-Fi,’ which he’s excited to show off in the future. While it seems that MatPat isn’t completely stepping back from The Game Theorists or any of his other channels, he will no longer be the face of the company, marking a massive shift that’s leaving fans both somber and excited for the future of the brand. Creators react to MatPat’s YouTube retirement A slew of other YouTubers and streamers have given their well-wishes to MatPat following his emotional announcement, with the likes of Quackity, TommyInnit, CouRage, and more expressing both their sadness and happiness over the fate of the channel and MatPat’s upcoming endeavors after March 9. “Much love MatPat,” wrote TommyInnit. “You are an absolute f*cking king.” “What an incredible journey,” CouRage tweeted. “Thank you for so many awesome memories. MatPat rips into Colleen Ballinger with jaw-dropping Streamys skit – Dexerto
MatPat rips into Colleen Ballinger with jaw-dropping Streamys skit YouTube: Colleen Vlogs, Streamy AwardsYouTube star MatPat delivered a scathing segment taking aim at disgraced creator Colleen Ballinger in a jaw-dropping moment at the Streamy Awards. Colleen Ballinger is an OG YouTuber who’s best known for her comedic character ‘Miranda Sings’ — but she’s fallen out of favor after a huge scandal rocked the internet earlier this year. Although allegations surrounding Ballinger’s alleged inappropriate behavior toward young fans have been around since 2020, the accusations kicked up once again in June, with more fans claiming she “exploited” them. Ballinger infamously responded to the allegations in a ten-minute long video where she sang a song while playing a ukulele, claiming her management team had “strongly advised” her not to “say what I want to say,” but “realized they never said that I couldn’t sing.” The YouTuber’s apology video, which has since been dubbed ‘Toxic Gossip Train,’ was mocked relentlessly online — and was once again lampooned during the 2023 Streamy Awards. MatPat shades Colleen Ballinger at the 2023 Streamys During the Streamys, YouTube star MatPat (of Game Theory fame) took to the stage for a mock “in memoriam” segment, where he poked fun at social media platforms that had taken some major Ls over the past year (including Twitch’s 70/30 sub split drama and Elon Musk’s X/Twitter rebranding). Throughout the skit, a woman sat in a chair on stage and played the ukulele. It wasn’t until the end, when MatPat went to take away the instrument, that it became clear he was pointing a finger at Colleen Ballinger. “But it was the tragic loss of this one thing that truly hit the creator community the hardest,” MatPat said. “Something whose train unfortunately left the station with one ill-advised, ten-minute long video.” MatPat moved to take away the ukulele, saying, “I’m sorry.” The woman then stood up and said, “No, I’m sorry,” before walking backstage. MatPat gave the crowd a knowing look and said: “Looks like someone knows how to apologize.” The internet was left with their jaws on the floor at how brazen MatPat was in lambasting Ballinger, who he used to collaborate with before the allegations against her arose. For now, not much else has come forth from Colleen’s end of things after her lawyers sent a cease and desist letter to YouTuber Ethan Klein… but it accidentally got sent to a fan, instead.
